Romance / Re: Why Do Women Want Guys 'over 6 Foot' When Listing Desired Qualities? by socpred(m): 2:10pm On May 18, 2009
TOPE2000!:

Not just any six foot guy abeg . . . . he has to have good physique as well cheesy

WARNING: Tall, six foot, 'good-physiqued' guys are also liable to pot bellies, bald heads, hairy ears, extremely hairy noses, and general bodily 'disfiguration'!

@topic
Personal preference, I guess. There's absolutely nothing wrong with having preferences, but it's also a great idea to be open to some compromise. Trust me, there are great 4-footers around!
Romance / Re: Can A Christain Marry A Muslim? by socpred(m): 2:01pm On May 18, 2009
It is definitely possible for two religions to get married, and successfully too,
However (big however), considering that marriage literally means you'll be stuck with this dude (ideally for life), I think it would be extremely risky for you to marry someone with whom you cannot agree on fundamental things such as religious beliefs!
What happens when he goes for mosque 'services', and the mosque pastor-in-charge asks about 'madam', and he begins to feel uncomfortable about going for services without madam, and since he's the head of the home, he 'decides' that you WILL start attending services with him - and your own Christian beliefs state that wives should submit to their husbands. Doesn't look pretty!

It's intuitive that 'unequal yoking' (not just with regards to religion, but other important issues) makes marriage a whole lot more 'tedious' than it already is (even with a perfect match made in heaven)!
Romance / Re: How Do You Get A Person To Trust You Again? by socpred(m): 1:52pm On May 18, 2009
Unfortunately, it is much easier to destroy trust than to earn it! However, trust can only be earned, so you have to earn it by being trustworthy and faithful. Might take some time, but I doubt that there would be a more effective way to earn the trust.

So, just be yourself (your trustworthy self, that is) and let things work themselves out while you do your own little part to ensure that you don't screw things up.
Romance / Re: "I Am In Love With My Sister's Husband" by socpred(m): 11:16am On May 18, 2009
It's very simple! Move out!
Or better still, tell your sister you're in love with her husband. That should solve the problem with alacrity!
Family / Re: Is It Compulsor For A Woman To Know How To Cook? Would You Marry One Who Doen't? by socpred(m): 10:27am On May 18, 2009
First of all, a woman's inability to cook does not in any way make her any less of a woman.
However, I also think it's intuitive that every woman (and every man for that matter) should have at least the basic culinary skills.
That said, if both a man and his wife don't know how to cook, then they should have KFC, Pizza hut, etc on speed dial! cheesy
