If you were the owner of Jubaili Agrotec, you will not make this "I don't care" kind of statement. You have to defend your brand's integrity. it is not "i don't care attitude". tanx anyway |

Glad to hear this. However, the sales rep should have come out to defend his product. He would doubtless have made more sales. tanx. but no salesman gets incentive for selling guardforce. even my grandmother can sell the products |

Thanks o bro, the guy is a real coward ; I got his number and chat him up. I asked him this same question I asked above, though he was surprised that the chemical reacted like that and promised to get back to me but mehn, the guy just blocked me up straightaway .
My guess is that he is afraid of being held responsible for the damages and his wrong prescription.
But why will he do that? I only asked him questions not that I held him responsible for the damages. calling me a coward was mean. i am not a frequent user of nairaland. maize turning yellow after application of guardforce is rare. however, ensure you maintain an interval of atleast fourteen days between the application of guardforce and any organophosphate insecticides. secondly, ensure your sprayer doesn't have residues of previous pesticides. thirdly apply to maize that are not stress. the lists goes on. Always read the label on the product: it is very important. No company can be held responsible for damages to crops. the disclaimer is on all agrochemical products whether from jubaili or any other |

I am surprised that the sales rep of Jubaili Agrotec whose post appears right before yours has not come to address this issue. Afterall, GuardForce is their product and is supposed to be a selective herbicide (Nicrosulfuron). hello, if u were the person that chatted with me and discussed guardforce. my apologies for not replying. i receive spam messages periodically |

Sounds like a herbicide?
Does it kills them? it doesn't. birds generally don't like the taste and smell. it is non-toxic to birds and human. it taste and smells like banana flavour. |

Bird Repellant I know and have used, is in the form of herbicide you mix with water and apply to your rice farm with a spray tank.
It's called BirdForce 200ml. it is true that there is a bird repellant called bird force which is in powder and liquid formulation and distributed by jubaili agrotec. send me a mail via technical.abuja@jubailiagrotec.com for more enquiries |

kingralph: Everyone guess what? I finally made a discovery. Via nairaland I made some contact who eventually told me the best chemical for treating weeds on cassava farm is "force uron". The active ingredient in this chemical is "di-uron". The contact happened to be an agrochemicals supplier who incidentally supplies agrochemicals to the person I buy these chemicals from.. Lol The funny thing is that my neighbor on the farm who I hardly meet has confirmed to me that it is this chemical he too used to eradicate weeds on his farm Tomorrow we will try it out unfailingly by God's grace I will keep the house informed on my progress diuron was mentioned earlier in the conversations. it can be used pre and early post-emergence 1 Like |
Agriculture / Re: Herbicide For Cassava Farm by soil9: 7:12pm On Jul 01, 2017 |
yomie040: what is the active ingredient in this double force? diuron and paraquat. paraquat kills existing weeds while diuron kills germinating weeds. alternatively, apply diuron alone if the weeds are young and actively because it has some level of early post emergence activity in cassava. paraquat could injure your crop if double force is not applied well |
Agriculture / Re: Herbicide For Cassava Farm by soil9: 6:53pm On Jul 01, 2017 |
yomie040: Visit any agro store and ask for fusilade or any herbicide with fusipop-buty as the active ingredient and apply as direct spray. fusillade or StarForce are also selective but would only control grasses. be rest assured that broadleaved weeds would be smiling at you. you can carefully use Bentazone which I doubt will bw available in any market. note that all Aryloxypheoxypropanoite whether, fluazifop p butyl (starforce or fusilade)or haloxyfop p ethyl (e.g Gallant super) will only control grasses |

kingralph: This is strange. I have realized that many of the advice given here are not borne out of experience. Agrochemicals sales agents recommend one chemical to you just to make sales hardly rea hard lying efficacy of the chemicals. A sales agent says one thing while another says another thing entirely. True farmers are really having a hard time. I heard of a farmer over here who bought some recommend chemicals only for it to destroy his crops Farmers in the house please how can I surmount this challenge? your advice here is not far from the truth. however, always consult a technical officers or sales agronomists of any of the big agrochemical companies like jubaili, saro, candel, wacot and African Agro. they provide free agronomic advice on the safe and effective use of their respective products. they are not pressured into meeting sales targets like ordinary salesmen. they conduct on-farm demonstrations, and collaborate with research institutes such as IITA, ICRISAT, IFDC, CIAT, ICARDA, IAR&T e.t.c. farmers should always ensure they read the labels on the products they purchase. |

sagacious2016: I just planted about 30 acres of maize only and sprayed with chemical immediately
But there is a little problem. The maize is about three weeks old but it has almost been taken over by weed. This is despite spraying with athrazine and ParaeForce herbicides immediately after planting. Now I don't know which herbicide to use that will not affect my maize but will kill the weeds both broadleaf and grasses. Any expert advice will be appreciated. next time you want to control weed in maize farm, use a broad spectrum herbicide like xtraforce or 3maizeforce for pre-emergence weed control. ensure you apply to moist soil for good result. guardforce or stunner can be used for post emergence control. ensure the weeds are young and actively growing. 3maizeforce gives you season long control and you may not need a post emergence control subsequently in the season. I am a technical sales representative with jubaili agrotec, manufacturers of products such as paraeforce, Atraforce, ddforce, e.t.c. you can reach via email at technical.abuja@jubailiagrotec.com 1 Like 1 Share |

paulseyi: Hi my name is Paul, i need your help. i am acquired 1000 acres of land for 5 years. i want to use this maize for 5 years. i will growth maize and soybean. i am thinking of using herbicide to kill the weed on the soil during growing maize plant. these product will be export to Europe.
My Question is this? 1. Do herbicide have side effect on maize seed?
2. Do you advice me to use man power to weed ?
3. is there any disadvantages for soil if i use herbicide to kill the weed.?
please your contribution is very vital to me. i need your help.
Regard Paul
you can grow maize without the use of manual labour which is very expensive and subject plants to mechanical injury. you can purchase xtraforce or 3maizeforce for pre-emergence application. guardforce or stunner can be used for post emergence. just to let you know, I am a technical sales representative with Jubaili agrotec (a major manufacturer and distributor of agrochemicals). this chemicals don't have any side effect provided you adhere to the re-entry period and pre-harvest interval. you can reach me via email on technical.abuja@jubailiagrotec.com. you can also visit our website on www.jubailiagrotec.com |
