The same way we heard Nwakalis are special talents but we are yet to see anything till date.

Special talent is just one the dubious ways to get 'some' players into the National team.

Let me remind you that Awoniyi is a Liverpool player. I don't think a daft scout will recommend him if he is not a special talent.

Only Nigerians with their usual sentimental and bias judgement will just say one player is Super special talent.

Michael is not a striker.

Let me come in here a bit, I think awoniyi did not take his chances at gent, I remembered he performed very well for mouscron only to go on downward trend at gent with that young guy Jonathan scoring more and eventually benching him, he would have used gent to propel to even better club but didn't take his chance. I think he need to move to a bigger club to redeem himself.

Let me use onyekuru for instance, his development has been on an upward trend, from lowly Eupen to Anderletch and he proved himself then he went to Galatasaray now the rumours are that his will be going to Bayern, that's what we call development. Awoniyi needs to play next season at a bigger club next season.

These Turkish players are so aggressive, no game passes without seeing one or two fracas. The referees seems to be more lenient.

Lol

I told some people here ,but someone of them use the turkey league to berate him

If onyekuru will leave gala he should be playing at a top 10 Epl club

If he will be joining laliga ,if it's not atletico,Sevilla ,Valencia I don't want to see him there

If it's Italy ,Roma ,inter ,ac ,Napoli are the least club I want to see him

If it's France ,the only least club I will manage is Lyon and Lille

If he can't get any of this club I mentioned he should stay at gala

Kinda agree with you, if he doesn't get work permit, I think he should find another club.

Nobody will ever think he should be dropped from the list

Check previous post, you will see that some people did mention his name, guess because they haven't watched him play. After ndidi this guy is the most consistent Nigerian player we have for 2-3 seasons running

Big ups to onyekuru, whoever think this guy would be drop from the 23 man squad is high on something.

This guy made sure gala won tonight, assist cancelled, scored cancelled, and finally got the legit goal, he is phenomenal.

The only club that fits him well is Liverpool, though he will start from the bench for one or two seasons, but city is never an option.

I believe chukwueze should have been credited with the assist for the equalizer, his cross deflected to the path of ekambi who netted in the equalizer

Dennis Bounaventure has really gotten his mojo back. Dude dun improve wella, was simply unplayable today. Bar injuries and a dip in form, he sure gonna extend Danjuma's stay in the Brugge bench.

I read he might be joining Torino in January though

Dennis is good just that he is injury prone.

You never believed Nacho was even capable of pulling the stats he did at City. You did not even believe he had the ability to do what he did.

Nacho was never overhyped. He did it. Pulled stats that was among the best in the game. Broke EPL records. How due to negative systems, the story has changed to overhyped, beats my imagination.

Mikel even had it worse than Nacho. He was utilised wrongly for club and country. Mikel became the image of a national joke. Some said the same, he was overhyped and we expected too much from him.

Very few knew the star was shining bright in him and with the right platform he would blossom.

Truely Mikel had it worse than Nacho is getting, thats Nigerians for you, some people are also waiting patiently for the rave of the moment Chukwueze to have a bad spell then they come out from their shells.

Please you cannot compare Mikel's case with that of Iheanacho. Mikel despite being drafted to the DM role was at that initial stage a starter for a stars studded Chelsea side. Iheanacho was a bench warmer at City and even now at Leicester. Plus Mikel was delivering the goods in the Super Eagles colors. Iheanacho is not making any impact for both Club and country.

Yes, he was overhyped by many but a lot have since lowered their expectations. I never for once hyped him but I also never expected his game level to be this low at this stage in his career such that even Rohr mentioned it that Iheanacho has lost his confidence. His development seems to have stalled since after leaving City. There was a picture taken of Iheanacho and a couple of some other players in camp against SA and he looked so diminished psychologically.

It's either he shapens his pattern after Leicester's style of play or he seeks a transfer next summer.

Your last statement is in line with my conclusion.

I will disagree because both Iheanacho and Mikel are so much alike but one chose a different path after sitting a bench, where mikel succeeded was refusing the temptation to leave, I bet you also wanted him to much after MOU left in his first spell, because every one condemned Him(Mikel) to a permanent bench warming.
The case of Nacho was a bad decision from the time on, even under guardiola he was still scoring goals in FA cup and also in few minutes he played in EPL, going to Leicester was a bad decision and has affected his confidence, this is so glaring even to the blind, we never needed Rhor to noticed this.

Nacho receiving so much bashing of recent is not a surprise.

To whom much is given, much is expected. He (Nacho) has not lived upto half of his hype and expectations. His case is similar to that of Mikel Obi when he moved to Chelsea, people expected so much from such an excited attacking midfielder who was expected to create many goals and score at least upto 10 goals a season could not manage to score 5 goals throughout his stay at chelsea. Will you say he is bad player? No.

It was a nuisance to the ear hearing derogatory remarks about him and why he would have been better playing for Man Utd than Chelsea, how are we sure he would have developed to a player we wanted?.
Unlike Mikel, Nacho decided to leave a club he shunned like a million stars and more suitable to his playing pattern to a club that is comfortable playing a typical kick and follow football all because of temporary bench warming, I remember people making jest of mikel warming the bench, but one thing was certain, every coaches that came to Chelsea then find Mikel totally indespensable.

The deed has been done, what is left for him is to re-invent himself to suit Leicester playing pattern or get another club that suits him better.

Am a fan of Onyekuru bro.

I never said he is not good.

He needs to improve.

Even Club Brugge's Danjuma scored as a LWB in one of their champions league game.

Why do you even think Kalu started ahead of him against Seychelles and Chukwueze even started ahead of him against Uganda?

Honestly bro, I dont get what you are saying, onyekuru did not say he is a world class player, the guy is playing to his potentials, dude just scored two goals forthnight ago. If you take your time to watch galatasary this season you will know its an average team and dey play so bad. Onyekuru is playing fine tonight, dont come and put unnecessary overexpectations him or compare him with chukwueze cos both are still upcoming stars.

As much as I hate rohr conservative attitude, I must say he is a decent tactician always knows how to grind out results with awful performance.

The way we are hyping our players is so disappointing, they are still average players in their respective clubs, all of them. Lets stop saying bunch of talents. No player there is a super star just an average bunch.

since kalu is not what he thought he is rohr should try club brugge's bonventure dennis to see if he will add more quality. also ojo who have made it known that he will take up the chance if called up is another good option, same as lookman but it seem the bobo matter no too pure yet

Hahhahah, Dennis?, more over some people was saying Kalu wing was porous today and I was thinking if he was playing a wing back position, dude was ok today, the coach just make things difficult makin changes is now luxury, It was obvious kalu, Ndidi, etebo and even Ighalo was tired but the man no dey see am.
with this predictability we may lose again against south africa.

Ighalo is winning our hearts back, proving to critics he still got it, including me.
But he should thank Rhor for sticking with him cos if its another coach I dont think the story will be the same.
As for Rhor, I hate his substitutions, very stingy with sub, dude will wait till its 75min and above before making sub even if it is a dead rubber game. Am afraid he is not learning anything new, someone should tell him this he is too rigid with sub and changes.

If we don't watch it we may lose another 3 points, He may forget that Ndidi or someone else is ineligible to play next game, the man just be like robot grin grin

Una no go kee me for this forum. Comparing Walcott to a Moses that was jumping from one club to another on loan before settling for a defensive wingback role?

And who be the "young and exciting" wingers sef?

Is it Musa who was relegated to Leicester youth team before following money to Saudi? Or is it Simon that can't get a starting shirt in Levante? Or Kalu that doesn't know whether to pass or shoot? Or Onyekuru who is getting benched in Turkey?

Who be the person?

obviously you dont know our wingers, No be Iwobi pursue walcot commot for arsenal?, Onyekuru is a confirm starter for club check his last two matches in turkey and champions league, kalu is another dynamite of a player, abeg aging walcot don outlive em usefulness, any of this winger can easily walk into everton starting lineup.

There are too many variables to make that assumption.

We Nigerians always hate what we have, assuming Ibe was still in Liverpool he would have been better than all of our wingers combined, or agbonlahor, calton cole, sammy.

The emphasis is, lookman or who ever FB out there is not better than what we have, this is not overhyping our players, this is pure truth, what is killing us is administrative problem not individual talents. French squad is made of approx 70% black, assuming its an african nation they wont pass the QF.

That's because he is a winger cum inside forward not a classic winger who just hugs the touchline and crosses the ball.

yap, but he has this issue of not returning back to the wing, sometimes he may decide to linger in the box.

Henry can't play the number 9position. I repeat Henry can't play the number 9position. He should continue his development on the flank.

Its wrong to make this conclusion after just 10mins of play and one missed chance. Well moreover he is not built as a striker, he is a natural winger, he will be bullied by defenders. but he is a good winger the problem he has is always drifting into the box.
