Travel / Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by soprano008(m): 3:19am On May 17
Kindly advise!!!

I and my wife are both in US, doing our PhD. She is having a high risk pregnancy. We are trying to get my mom to join weeks before delivery. (We started our adjustment of status for green card, mine was approved and my wife is still awaiting decision). Mom’s de-160 was filled that we are both on F1 then.

The earliest date we secured for her appointment is Next year May. Our plan is to have her in around September. We have all pregnancy records and letter from the gynecologist attesting to the high risk pregnancy.

We are trying to secure a closer date, what other documents do we need, what content should be in write up… what advice would you give?

Thanks.

Hello,

I just filled out my Ds-160, I haven't submitted yet thou, but I am trying to secure a visa date for B2 visa appointment. I got this message after. "Your request to schedule an appointment has been received and will be reviewed. You will receive an email once your request is approved."

1. My question is how long before my request would be approved?
2. Does it mean that once it is approved, I will have dates pop up and I can select from a range of dates?
3. Do anyone have a timeline or how many weeks, month or year do I wait?

Thank you.

Did they waive TOEFL for you? (Auburn University)

No, but you can still get across to your graduate coordinator. Your Department might waive it for you.

Kindly help. I just paid my Visa fee via my Gtbank app. The reference number generated is 15 digits instead of the 16digits. Please what can I do?

There are certain enquiries you need to make before registering in any of those schools.

1. Does the school postgraduate has a good calendar? Yes every school does, but how effective is it?

2. Narrow it down to your desired Department. And make enquiries from present and past PG students

3. For PhD. It's better you have a conversation with your potential supervisor even before applying. It's more like a journey of no return

4. For the distance, might not really be a barrier depending on who your boss is. Some prefer to hear updates from your work. Some prefer to see you often. They even use that as a test of seriousness.

5. Check from the Department, if there are helping hands in the intended area/niche you want to research on.

Best of luck

@skedman... Do you know 75% of what you highlighted require capital? How do you expect him to source for the capital... Not him alone, we have alot in the streets, some are back home with their parents.. It's the present situation of the country.... I have my B.SC HONs in Biochemistry from a reputable University, masters in view... Most of the jobs online, is either they want to dupe you or employ you in a room company.... This happened to me some hours ago..

I got a text message from a line that I have been invited for an interview with an oil company firm....

Later I used an unknown digit to call the person, and told him that 'in respect to his CV he submitted at our company' that he has been scheduled for an interview with us...

He has been disturbing me with calls since then oooo.

Person wey wan gve me job self dey look for job
