Religion / No Date Yet For Resumption Of Adoration Programmes by Squeezepro: 11:35am On May 20, 2020
My attention has been drawn to a trending video inviting worshippers to Sunday mass of 24th May 2020 at Adoration Ministry Enugu. I wish to inform you that , prompted by the Wisdom of the Holy Spirit, I am yet to give any directive for the resumption of any public gathering for any of the ministry's programmes. I still maintain my earlier stand that due to the peculiarity of the Ministry programmes, we still need some time to put the measures in place that will ensure social distancing and the safety protocols on public gatherings, as recommended by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and other government guidelines for prevention of spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, so as not to endanger the health of the worshipers.
The date for the resumption of Adoration programme will be communicated to you through the ministry's official channels. Be assured of my consistent prayers for you.
May God continue to hide and miraculously sustain you in the tabernacle of His presence of Exo 40:34, Ps16.11 and Ps 91:1 beyond the reach of the Covid-19 pandemic in Jesus name. May the angels of Gen3.34, Ps34.7, Ps35.5, Rev12.7 , Dan6.22 and Is37.36 continue to guard us and fight for us super naturally against the spirit of death in Jesus name. AMEN. Adoration!!! The Holy Spirit is our Power!!!
Rev Fr Ejike Camillus Mbaka
Spiritual Director, Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria.

Politics / Geoffrey Onyeama: The Quintessential Diplomat And Trouble Shooter by Squeezepro: 4:35pm On Oct 07, 2019
Nigerians were initially chagrined and enervated by the seeming aloofness and anyhowness that characterized the Nigerian government disposition to the recent xenophobic attacks that had broken out in South Africa and which had targeted most foreigners and their concerns, Nigerians inclusive. The furore was understandable as many Nigerians wanted an immediate government response in tandem with the social media hysterical speed. They demanded a Nigerian reaction reminiscent of the 1970s when Nigeria had in place a dynamic foreign policy piloted by late Joe Garba and which had positioned Nigeria as the African Uncle Sam whose activities aided in no small measures in African Liberation, including that of South Africa. Nigerians therefore wanted Nigeria to act, not only to safeguard her nationals in South Africa but to permanently put a stop to such attacks by those who ought to be full of gratitude to Nigeria for the onerous role she played in their liberation from apartheid. However, after an initial seemingly pussy footing, which perhaps was the nature of the business of diplomacy which, while demanding speed needed to be based on well thought-out decisions that may not exacerbate the situation or endanger the lives and limbs of its nationals in the tangent nation, and which will not necessarily damage bilateral relations, a couple of days after, like Daniel come to judgment, the Nigerian minister for foreign affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, no relation of the Air peace boss, Allen Onyeama, but a veritable chip of the old block, descended from the legendary Onyeama royal house of Eke in Enugu State, which had produced eminent persons like the maverick writer, Dilibe and eminent jurist, Charles Daddy Onyeama of ICJ, Hague fame, entered the scene and stated the official government position.
Indeed after describing the attacks as very unhealthy and disturbing, he averred that the government was committed to ensuring that losses incurred by Nigerians will receive complete compensation by South Africa, and that Nigeria was of the view ensuring that adequate security is put in place which may include sending Nigerian security operatives to South Africa, who may have to work with the South African police to provide security around the embassies and for Nigerians with a view to forestalling such happenings in the future. Onyeama stated that to underscore the government’s commitment to the safety of Nigerians that a diplomatic envoy had been dispatched to South African president, Cyril Ramaphosa to dialogue mostly on these two issues and to register Nigerians concern over the recent attacks on foreigners in South Africa, Nigeria inclusive. Even as it appeared, the South African Foreign Minister, Naledi Panden was vitriolic in her outburst, urging Nigerians to keep her drug and human traffickers as well as perpetrators of vices at home, and to create jobs for her citizens.
On the converse Onyeama had remained calm and diplomatic. He had told Nigerians willing to return home that Nigeria was going to ensure their safety and free air freight back to Nigeria. He later elucidated on this and announced that a Nigerian airline, Air Peace, had volunteered to ferry the willing one’s home. This goal getting Foreign Minister saw to it that this was done and so far, no fewer than 400 Nigerians have returned to Nigeria through the Air Peace gesture which was powered by its CEO, Allen Onyeama and ably facilitated by the troubleshooting Geoffrey Onyeama. Indeed, full credits go to him for succinctly appraising the situation and advising the Nigerian government and people to maintain their peace in the face of such obvious affront and it paid off superbly. He had held the view that severance of diplomatic ties was off the mark even as the Nigerian High Commissioner was recalled and that of South Africa was summoned by the Nigerian government. Onyeama enjoined the Nigerian people to shun violent reprisals even when such activities reared up their ugly heads in Lagos, the Africanist and very urbane Onyeama insisted that never was it known that two wrongs ever made a right. These very germane diplomatic and savvy actions of the Foreign Minister had gone ahead to douse the xenophobic inferno from further escalation and has not only reassured Nigerians in South Africa and elsewhere in diaspora that at least that they have someone who would ask after them in case of emergencies. A country’s respect is earned and boosted on the degree of response it manifests when any of its nationals are attacked abroad. Americans and Israelis will not bat an eyelid in declaring war on any nation where the life of even one of its citizens is in jeopardy or taken, without clear explanation and apologies from such errant country
Nigerians current Foreign Minister has earned a place for himself in diplomatic circles putting him along diplomatic greats like Herry Kissinger, Andrew Young, Joe Garba, M.T. Mbu C.C.Mojekwu and Edward Heath among others. I join other patriots in doffing my cap for Geoffrey the diplomat who had shot Xenophobic with a damming diplomatic missile and calm has returned everywhere.
South African missions in Nigeria which had shut down purported security reasons have since reopened just as the major business conglomerates; PEP, Shoprite and MTN have resumed operations in Nigeria. Though the second batch of Nigerian have been flown home by Air Peace, but because of the doused xenophobic fires, over a million more Nigerians are reportedly still residing and doing business in South Africa. This crop of Nigerians can now confidently move with the conviction that it has a caring government, much thanks to Geoffrey Onyeama.
Xenophobic acts did not start today in South Africa but has been there a little while after its independence in 1994. In the past three years alone, no fewer than 127 Nigerians have lost their lives through Xenophobic and related violence. South Africans blame Nigerians for drug peddling and other negative activities and these mingled with petty jealously over the huge successes of Nigerians, give vent to these acts of violence by the nationals who feel Nigerians take their jobs.
These recent attacks which according to Onyeama, claimed no Nigerian life though 11 were reportedly killed in the violence, but had razed over 50 Nigerian shops. The immediate cause was the killing of a taxi-man who had accosted drug dealers in Pretoria along with South African policeman who aided and abetted illicit trade. The death led to the protest by taxi-men but was quickly contained with the arrests. However, violence erupted in Johannesburg suburbs and soon escalated to other cities. There were early well as did government officials. But the diplomatic move by Nigerian Foreign Minister, Geoffrey Onyeama had roused then and changed all things for good. Kudos!!

Politics / Onyeama - A Worthy Re-appointment by Squeezepro: 3:16pm On Aug 05, 2019
Some leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Enugu North Senatorial Zone and leaders of the Kwusike political family in the zone have expressed their profound appreciation to President Mohammadu Buhari for re-appointing the immediate past minister of foreign affairs – Geoffrey Onyeama in his new cabinet. In a press release after a meeting held in Nsukka yesterday Sunday, 4th August 2019, the members expressed their joy and hearty felicitation to Onyeama on his re-appointment and described him as a round peg in a round hole. According to one of the leaders who was a House of Representative aspirant in the last general elections for Igbo-Etiti/Uzo-Uwani federal constituency and zonal secretary of the party –Engr. Stephen Onyekachi Okenwa- “president Buhari is a leader who understands the dictates of his job and has shown his determination to bring Nigeria out of the woods by carefully selecting men and women who has what it takes to steer the ship of our dear nation like Onyeama”. A factional zonal chairman of the APC in the State – Chief Chinedu Okosisi who was also in the meeting described Onyeama as “a worthy leader and a great Igbo son from the Onyeama dynasty in whom his people are well pleased”. He said “with the appointment of Onyeama, all is now set for the APC to take over Enugu state and Igbo land at large” – saying that his effort in galvanizing voters throughout all the wards and communities in Enugu states by touring across the LGAs and wards and despite all the sabotage by PDP implants in APC during the campaigns is a sign that he is a good party man and a grass root politician.
Another House of Representative aspirant in the last general election for Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Federal Constituency who attended the meeting- Barr. Ikechukwu Maximus Ugwuoke described Onyeama’s appointment as divine. According to him “looking at his appointment and that of others in the list, I believe Providence has decided to take Nigeria to greater heights as the list contains names who I believe have what it takes to steer Nigeria to greater height”. He described Onyeama‘s handling of Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs in the last three and half years as “classy” saying he understands the job and will even do more now that he has been re-appointed by Mr. President.
The group believes that by this recent appointment, Mr. president has what it takes to continue to fish out committed men and women within the party who will help in building the nation and delivering the dividends of democracy to all Nigerians.
Other members of the group from the zone who had bared their minds in support of President Buhari on the appoinment include a factional state secretary of the party Barr. Chike Omeje, House of Assembly aspirants in the last general elections – Sydney Eze, Mrs. Peace Ugwu, Candidus Eneje, Osita Amoke, Chief Mbonu Greg Nwekeand a chieftain of the party, Chief Ezeudo Itanyi among others.

Politics / Enugu APC Chieftain Lauds Buhari On Onyeama's Renomination by Squeezepro: 7:25am On Jul 29, 2019
The parallel chairman of APC in Enugu State Deacon Okey Ogbodo has lauded President Mohammadu Buhari on his choice of renomination of Godfrey Onyeama from Enugu State as Minister of Federal Republic.
In a press statement he released on weekend, titled "MINISTERIAL NOMINATION: BEST WISHES TO A DISCERNING LEADER,CHIEF GEOFFREY ONYEAMA" Ogbodo maintained that Buhari could not have made a better choice than Onyeama in his ministerial choice from the state. The statement reads in full;
"May I convey my best regards and warm felicitations to the Leader of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Enugu State, Mr Geoffrey Onyeama, on this nomination as Honourable Minister of the Federal Republic, by President Muhammadu Buhari
This singular act is sure proof to me and the APC State Executive in Enugu State which I lead, that our President had duly noted contributions of genuine political allies and critical stakeholders who worked hard for the party and his re-election during the 2019 General Elections.
We worked in close concert with, and under the direction of Chief Onyeama, with whom we traversed the nooks and crannies of Enugu State, against all odds, to market the candidacy of Mr President.
His re-nomination for ministerial appointment is, therefore, a fitting recognition of the consummate effort of a discerning, incorruptible leader; a bridge builder and a committed party-man.
I have no doubt in my mind that experiences of the last term, particularly the treacherous machinations of a few self-serving political jobbers, masquerading as party chieftains, would not be lost on the Honourable Minister-designate, in the exercise of his new mandate, as Minister of the Federal Republic.
To our dear President, I say thank you sir for this honour done us and our own; to my dear Leader and Minister designate, I say congratulations sir. May our Lord lead and protect you, always".

Religion / Fr Mbaka At Centre Of Reactions by Squeezepro: 11:03am On Dec 31, 2018
Ahead of the 31st December 2018 cross over night programme of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria, the ministry has been inundated with visits of groups of Nigerians ranging from the clergy, Seminarians, Reverend Sisters, widows, orphans, Christians and none Christians who have been expressing their appreciation to Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka the Spiritual Director of the ministry over what they termed his uncommon charity during the yuletide and the good works God is using him to do for His people.
Fr Mbaka had at the end of the just concluded 2018 December crusade of the ministry shared tens of thousands of bags of rice, gift items and rendered financial charities to the Seminarians, Rev Sisters, Orphans, widows and other less privileged Christians and non Christians who came to the programme from across the nation.
A catholic clergy Rev Fr Chidozie Chukwu stated that he was particularly surprised that inspite of the attacks, castigations and condemnations that Fr Mbaka has faced from the enemies of his ministry hiding under the garb of concerned Christians and the Church leaders, Fr Mbaka's zeal for the work of God was not lowered in any way. According to him "I participated actively in his four days crusade programme and I marveled at the testimonies of the miracles of God given by the people who attended the programme. They were too many to recount. I saw and heard the testimony of many visually impaired people that received their sight, many women with issues of blood got healed, people testified of the miraculous disappearance of different kinds of ailments etc. But the most surprising to me was his humongous sharing of bags of rice and food items at the end of the crusade. To me it was a replica of the miracles of Jesus feeding the multitude after His own crusade as recorded in the Bible.
Owoh James, a physically challenged orphan who was one of the beneficiaries to the Fr Mbaka's recent charity narrated his horrific life stories that led to his loosing of his both parents in one day. He revealed that Fr Mbaka and his ministry are now his surrogate parents and prayed that God would bless and keep him.
Haruna Ayuba who led a group of Northern Christians said " All this good works and miracles of God through Fr Mbaka still confirms that in spite of all the attacks on him, the hand of God is still upon him and his ministry".
Many of the beneficiaries of Fr Mbaka' recent charity and those whose lives were touched during the crusade took to social media to post the pictures of the gift items they received from Fr Mbaka and this has elicited several comments. Chukwuma Ogbuagu said "In spite of the jealousy and attacks on him by politicians, and some members of the Church, he still goes about doing good(CHARITY).May God pay him with Heaven"
Nzekwe Onyinyechi prayed for Fr Mbaka saying “more anointing big daddy, they will not kill you because you are in the hand of God. It is jealousy that is disturbing those attacking you. More power big daddy umu ikuku".
Benard Umeokafor asked "Where are those noise makers? are they not commenting on this,? Wicked generation. I am sure they won’t talk about this one or share it. But if it is to castigate him, they will be rattling here and there. Fr Mbaka carry go, you are untouchable, no evil will harm you, ISAIAH 54: 15-17 they will surely gather but hence they are not of God they must scatter. May God continue to bless you and protect you, be with you and guide you against your enemies?"
For Kingsely Chukwuemeka "Wow I love Fr Mbaka, he is a mighty man, a voice to the voiceless, a great preacher, and a generous man of God. Remain unstoppable and unshakable. I and my family love you so much"
Ifeoma Mba had this to say "Daddy you are unstoppable because God is with you. Thank you for your generosity even in this hard time. I know Nigerian press will not see this good work and will not talk about it"
Iche Cosmas Agbo said "Jesus gave them the word of God and also fed them, Fr Mbaka is a special gift to our generation"
According to Sixtus Chimaijem "Outside Priest hood Fr Mbaka is a father". He prayed that God who called Fr Mbaka will continue to be with him, protect him from the evil forces of this Dark Age. And that God will never deny this and other generations to come a prophet of his type. In conclusion he prayed 'Fr Mbaka, may I tap from same ocean of grace and wealth to put smiles on the face of the depressed as I always look up to you like a model".
Boniface Uzongwa observed "It's only an anointed man of God that can do such humongous things of that nature. May God continue to be with him and protect him against his enemies Amen.
Okey Francis said "May the lord alone be praised for giving us such priest who propagates Christ like gesture on the needy, God bless our Rev. Fr. Mbaka.
Daniel Chime wondered why people will always talk about any slight word they assume odd and fabricate millions of lie against Fr Mbaka but will not say the good he has done and what he is doing.

Politics / Assassination Attempt: Agents Of Darkness After Me – Fr. Mbaka by Squeezepro: 11:37am On Dec 10, 2018
The Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has again spoken on the reported assassination attempt on him over the weekend.

This is as the said attack has continued to generate mixed reactions. In a statement made available to Amen Super News on Monday, which was signed by his media aide, Barr Ike Maximus Ugwuoke, Mbaka said he never at any time blamed the attack on the Church.

The statement read: “The report in a section of the media that Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka of Adoration ministry Enugu Nigeria ‘fingers the Church on his alleged assassination’ is a false and a sensational headline curled by mischief makers for whatever ends and it is hereby refuted.

“First, the assassination plot against Fr Mbaka was not a mere ‘allegation” or claim’ as reported in the media but an established fact. The impact of the bullet on his car which the security agents have confirmed is there for all who cared to see. It is also ridiculous that two fictitious characters masquerading as concerned Catholics could go wild to insinuate in the media that Fr Mbaka planned his own assassination to curry public sympathy and presidential favour.

“Such statement depicts how far mischief makers can go in trivializing issues as important as human life and their absolute lack of fear of God. The statement calls to question the level of concern of such “Concerned Catholics” in such a matter involving the life of a catholic priest. We call on security agencies to investigate the source of such media report as the makers of the report or their pay masters may have some useful information to give them in their investigation into the incident.

“We challenge the two impostors claiming to be writing for the “Concerned Catholics” to come forward with their real identity, parish addresses and contacts to prove the point that they exist and that they are Catholics.

“We state categorically that in all efforts made to inquire from Fr Mbaka the person or persons behind the gun attack at him, he never at any time named anyone or pointed accusing finger at anyone as the sponsor of his assassination plot, be it the Catholic Church or Whomever.

“It is wrong and out of context to ascribe to Fr Mbaka any deductions made by any person or group of persons, or associations or followers of Fr Mbaka on the issue whether verbally or in prints. Such persons or group of persons may be freely expressing their sentiments on the issue but they are not speaking for Fr Mbaka and should not be taken or quoted as speaking for Fr Mbaka.

“Fr Mbaka’s love for the Catholic Church is unquestionable and to allege that he is “unleashing his ministry against the Catholic Church in an attempt to blackmail, or stampede the church into doing his bidding” only portrays the clear mischievous intention of the originators of the statement to incite the Catholic Church against Fr Mbaka.

“Such statement can only come from agents of darkness and liars from the pit of hell and should be considered as such.”

Politics / Alarm Over Assassination Plot And Threat To Fr Mbaka’s Life by Squeezepro: 7:15pm On Dec 08, 2018
The recent attack on Fr Mbaka took a different dimension as he miraculously survived an assassination plot by gun men who fired bullets on him along the road in Enugu on Thursday. Fr Mbaka recouunted the incident during the last night Friday Adoration programme.
In a media reaction issued jointly over the issue for Adoration Ministry World Wide signed by Chief Aka Emmanuel-President, National Adoration Family. Chief Okolo Godwin President, Adoration Fathers’ Associations World Wide Mrs Ann Aligwe,-President, Adoration Mothers’ Association World Wide. Chukwu Agoziem- President, Adoration Youths’ Association World Wide and Barr Ike Maximus Ugwuoke- Media Chief of Adoration Minstry, they noted that it is with rude shock and utter surprise that they received the report of the attempted assassination plot of the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria last Thursday evening by some unknown gun men who fired gun shots at him on his way along the road in Enugu.
They stated that "This incident has added to several other assassination plots targeted at Fr Mbaka since after the first plot that was carried out on him on his way from the Bishop’s house where he had gone to answer an impromptu call by his Bishop during the regime of Governor Chimaroke Nnamani of Enugu State."
The statement reads in full "This assassination plot against Fr Mbaka is coming barely few days after the 2018 Harvest and Bazaar of the Ministry whereat Fr Mbaka had come under massive media attack for asking Peter Obi, the PDP Vice Presidential Candidate for the 2019 General election who attended the Bazaar programme, to make public his support or donation for the Church Project of the Ministry. Many Supporters of Peter Obi and even clergies have misconstrued this as embarrassing to Peter Obi and to the Catholic Church and this has consequently given rise to the statement issued by the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) that same Thursday on the issue. The issue had lingered in spite of the apology which Fr Mbaka in his characteristic humility had tendered at the altar to Peter Obi and anyone who may have been in any way form and kind been offended at the Bazaar event.
"We have refrained from making any official statement on the ongoing media attack against Fr Mbaka over the Baazar incident because he had held us from joining issues with the Church Clergies and hierarchies on the subject, but we cannot continue to keep silent especially now that the issue is taking the dimension of plot to exterminate his life.
"We recall that the last time Fr Mbaka raised alarm over threat to exterminate him was in early 2015 when he faced a similar persecution by some church hierarchy and the PDP Government following his 31st December Prophecy of the imminent defeat of former President Goodluck Jonathan led PDP Government by President Mohammadu Buhari at the 2015 General Election.
"Today with the 2019 general election around the corner, it appears that history is repeating itself. The contemptuousness of the recent attack of Fr Mbaka by gunmen with the Peter Obi and the CBCN saga leaves us to a safe conclusion that the attack on Fr Mbaka may have either been politically engineered or ecumenically endorsed, and thus we will not hesitate to call on the security agencies in this country to beam their search lights and leave no stone unturned in getting to the root of this issue.
"Fr Mbaka’s life means so much to us and many poor and voiceless Nigerians for whom he lives and so we cannot be silent on the face of any threat to his life real or perceived. The graphic narration of the sinister assassination plot as recounted by Fr Mbaka himself during the last Friday’s all night Adoration vigil should not be taken lightly and we charge the security agencies in this country to arise to the situation.
"We continue to thank God for His continuous miraculous protection of Fr Mbaka and for His Special Supernatural Security (SSS) of Fr Mbaka and the Adoration Ministry. We are by this medium sending a strong warning to wherever the assassination plot against Fr Mbaka is coming from, be it the politicians or their supporters or the Church that we shall not fold our hands and keep watching. We shall not only expose the source of this threat to the life of Fr Mbaka at the fullness of our investigations but we shall also match same with equal force in self defence. While we have the faith that God will fight our cause, we believe even more in the defence of our faith through our good works and actions.

Politics / Attack On Fr Mbaka; Pentecostals, Others Knock Obi, Catholic Church by Squeezepro: 1:10pm On Dec 07, 2018
Reactions trailing the last harvest and bazaar of Adoration ministry Enugu Nigeria took a different dimension yesterday as some members of the Pentecostal church and others who attended his last Wednesday E No dey Again prayers bared their minds on the ongoing controversy. Fr Mbaka was last Sunday alleged to be demanding the PDP vice president, Peter Obi, who attended his ministry’s bazaar to make a public donation for the ministry’s project and consequently predicted failure for Obi and Atiku in 2019 election. The video of the event which went viral on social media has elicited a lot of reactions from many people in print and social media with many coming hard on Fr Mbaka over the issue.
Speaking with Newsmen in Enugu yesterday, Mr Peter Osondu of Mountain of Fire Miracles said that, “Even if Fr Mbaka is silent, they will attack him. Those vultures are satanic. Fr Mbaka should not mind them. We love him. Fr Mbaka’s anointing is miraculous grace and contagious, we need such a man of God in the Pentecostal family.”
One Apostle Ukaonu of Dunamis Church in expressing his wish for Mbaka to join the Pentecostal Church said “ Fr Mbaka please leave these catholic ingrates and join us in the Pentecostal World, leave the Catholic where you are tolerated and become a Pentecostal where you will be celebrated and appreciated.”
In the same vain, a member of the Redeemed Christian Church, Dr Francis Ozor, said ‘Let the man of God come to our church and become one of us. You Catholics are wicked. Why do you always attack Fr Mbaka whenever he tells you the truth”.
Sir Robert Okoye, a knight of the Church however warned his catholic brethren, saying “If we succeed in pulling Daddy Fr Mbaka to the Pentecostal family, we will end up closing down catholic church in Nigeria very soon.
Speaking on Peter Obi’s refusal to make donations to the church, Chief Ernest Okonkwo said “Fr Mbaka helped Peter Obi when he was in serious political quagmire and helped him bounce back to his gubernatorial chair. Has he shown appreciation ever since? If he has I do not think Fr Mbaka would have reprimanded him the way he did at the altar. Fr Mbaka and Peter Obi had been friends for a longtime. If Fr Mbaka said that Obi is stingy, it may not have just been as a result of his failure to make a public donation at the altar. And by the way, I see nothing wrong in his asking Obi to make a donation to the church; after all it was a bazaar, a fund raising programme of the church that he attended and not a retreat programme”
An APC stalwart, Hon Charles Ibekwe who said he knew Peter Obi very well, blamed Obi and asked “Why did Peter Obi come for Baazar harvest and thanksgiving in Adoration Ministry? Why should he turn the programme into Political campaign? Since Peter Obi knows Fr Mbaka and have a Reverend Father Brother with a Reverend Sister, he can humbly ask these reverends to deliver him from the Spirit of stinginess. His stinginess stinks.”
An Anglican priest, Rev Nwatu said, “Fr Mbaka for all I know and by the Special grace of God is blessed. He is not and will not be a beggar. He was only asking Peter Obi to support God’s work and tap his own Divine blessing; It is a common thing during a fundraising programme of the church.
In the same vein, Hon Uche Ewo wondered if Peter Obi is a blessing or a curse to himself and his PDP. He posited that the followers and so-called defenders of Obi are indirectly working for his political downfall by fighting Fr Mbaka who mean well for Obi”.
Mr Val Tobechukwu who claimed the his dead mother was raised back to life through Fr Mbaka’s Prayer stated Adoration Ministry is a highly divinely favoured place of worship with multiple astonishing miracles and testimonies, with so many confirmed dead persons raised to life through prayers from Fr Mbaka. Many barren widows are now happy mothers of twins, triplets, quadruplets, the sick, blind, lame, dumb, cancer, tumor patience, those with the issue of blood (hemorrhage) genotypes cases healed and given clean bill of health, many who used to be poor and wretched are now swimming in wealth and affluence, sinners are turning back to Christ for Salvation.
In a related development, many took to their social media to laud Fr Mbaka over the development in reply to his critics. Some of the comments read thus:
Christian Nziwu said, “Waw my brethren let’s talk the truth, that day is a special day, it is not a day of prayer rather it is a day of business transaction. Bazaar is not offering or sacrifice. A bazaar could be a market where things are gathered and sold. The Church or Ministry do it once in a year to raise funds to support the projects of the church’...
Chinenye Eze “I want the wailers to come out and state in clear terms Fr Mbaka’s crimes or the law he contravened at the bazaar. There are more important issues to worry Nigerians and not this. Everybody is making noise but they can’t even say what their problem is”
Nkemdilim Ogbe “ Don’t mind the idle rumour mongers, they are attracting the wrath of God by accusing His Prophet wrongly. Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka talk as the Spirit Directs you.
Cambel Onyekachi “ Fr Mbaka’s critics are mere drunk and tools of devil to dent the image of the highly anointed priest but God will put all of them to shame.
Ester Anigbo “ Daddy , Never mind them, onu kwuru njo ga ekwu mma, my happiness is that no one can battle with the Lord.
Iwuchukwu Rebecca Izuchukwu “ Anyone who knows Mbaka should tell him that God is with him. I saw what God wanted to do for Peter Obi if he actually donated publicly, but he didn’t understand the things of the Spirit. Tell Mbaka not to be afraid, we are with him.
Onuorah Patrick Sunny “ People don’t think about the good, all they remember is to find fault with the man of God. Mbaka is charity number one. Obi came to bazaar with empty hand, useless people keep on talking trash. Go on man, Almighty God is with you.”

Politics / Fr Mbaka, Atiku/obi; Just Before Fr Mbaka Is Crucified by Squeezepro: 1:01pm On Dec 07, 2018
Some concerned Christians under the aegis of ‘Araba Zone’ the popular arm that unites the millions of Adoration worshipers in the Diaspora have added their voices to the ongoing controversies over Fr Mbaka and Peter Obi saga at the 2018 Harvest and Bazaar of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria.
Reacting to the recent statement credited to the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) on the issue, one of the outstanding leaders of the group, Sir Nelson Onyema, faulted the CBCN for giving unnecessary attention to the issue. He argued that the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Bishop Mathew Kukah few months ago took Atiku Abubarkar to Olusegun Obsanjo for a political reconciliation and endorsement to pave the way for his emergence as the PDP presidential flag bearer. Bishop Kukah is the Chief campaigner of Atiku, the CBCN has been silent on this and issued no statement on it. The same Bishop Kukah who is co-chairing the National Peace Committee with former Head of State Abudusalami Abubarkar and others were seen few days ago playing some political roles geared towards reaching a memorandum of Understanding for all political parties in Nigeria, the CBCN did not issue any statement on this. Sometimes ago,the Bishop of Onitsha Arch Diocese celebrated a public mass of commendation and endorsement for GoodluckJonathan, what sanction did the church give to him? If the CBCN should be fair on this, they should start to address the issue from amongst them. I am sensing that jealousy and envy may have infiltrated the Catholic Church in Nigeria and have expected theCBCN guard its utterances jealously. It will be a shame for Catholic Church in Nigeria if the Bishops should continue to allow political sentiments and double standards to characterize their actions. I am sure that if this issue were to be between an ordinary citizen and his priest, the CBCN would have been silent on it. For the CBCN to make a statement on this issue just because it involves Obi as PDP Vice Presidential aspirant conveys their tacit support for Atiku and Obi and I can’t help asking when has the Catholic Church become Atiku/Obi campaign organization?
Stella Okpanku, observed that since the history of the catholic church in Nigeria up till 1994, attention has never been given to the Adoration of the Eucharistic Jesus. It was Fr Mbaka that has compelled the whole Nigeria to know the power of the Eucharist and transformed the patternof worship in the church to the Adoration of the Eucharist after his Ordination in 1995. Through this, he exposed the secret miraculous power of the Eucharist to both the Catholics and non Catholics such that today in almost all the parishes in Nigeria, Adoration of the Eucharist has become a popular worship pattern with the attendant miracles. The CBCN has never issued a statement in commendation of Fr Mbaka over this.
Speaking earlier on what transpired between Peter Obi and Fr Mbaka at the Adoration Bazaar the group had observed that Nigerians should rather be grateful to God who imbued Fr Mbaka with the courageous gift to speak truth to power. According to them, Fr Mbaka remains a bridge between the poor citizens of this country and the Leaders that are meant to use the nations’ wealth to look after them. Fr Mbaka has no need for begging Buhari, Peter Obi or any one that came for the bazaar for money for any personal need. They stated that Fr Mbaka is a selfless industrialist that has demonstrated his vow of poverty by using all his wealth for the poor. Donations made to his ministry is donation to the uncountable poor masses who depend on his charity for their survival, education and welfare and regretted that it is unfortunate some of the wailers today are the same poor masses for whose sake he is being persecuted.
One of them Tony Chinwendu, raised the following posers “When did it become an offence for a priest of God to ask people to make donations for the church? If Fr Mbaka makes same demands of the politicians that came to his Ministry’s Bazaar, what is wrong with that? Is Bazaar not a fundraising programme of the church or is it because the politicians are the ones involved? Is it not a common thing that every catholic priest do at their stations?Even in the scriptures, are instances not bound where Jesus himself was interested in offertory that was brought in the temple of God? If not how come Jesus spoke of the widow’s mite and also asked one of the ten that was healed of leprosy who can for Thanksgiving ‘where are the other nine in Luke 17:17?”. In Acts 5 did Peter not make a public demand of Ananias and his wife to support the Church with the proceeds of their property and even cursed them to death for lying to the Holy Spirit in their stingy donation to the church?
Another who said he attended the Baazar said “Never at any time during the Baazar event did Fr Mbaka tell Peter Obi or anyone that donation of money was a precondition for his prophesy. If Fr Mbaka’s prophetic anointing was merchandized, Nigerians should tell us what President Buhari did to Fr Mbaka or Adoration Ministry pre 2015 that made Fr Mbaka to prophesy Buhari’s Victory at such unpredictable stage of the nation’s political history. Nigerian should tell us what President Buhari did for the ministry from 2015 to date to warrant Fr Mbaka’s consistent prayers and support for President Buhari from then till now. Did Fr Mbaka not say it in the presence of Kano Governor, Ganduje that there is no single person around him (Fr Mbaka) that is sweeping for Buhari?. Did he not tell Buhari that Nigerians who voted for him are sufferings and that he will be changed if he doesn’t change? Is this not enough to tell Nigerians that Fr Mbaka is not a material-induced prophet?” he wondered.
Mrs Chinyere Isiagu had maintained that “If the problem of the wailers was that Fr Mbaka asked Peter Obi to make a public donation for the church, what wrong has he done? Did Fr Mbaka ask Obi to give him anything for his private use? Many pastors and so called men of God would have gladly preferred the private donations arrangement to defraud their church but Fr Mbaka had instead insisted that Obi’s donation be made in public just like the donations of all who came to the event”. She stated that Fr Mbaka’s insistence that Peter Obi’s donation be made in public is rather a virtuous mark of transparency that is highly commendable. She recall that in 2015,the same pro PDP media warriors that are attacking Fr Mbaka today for asking Peter Obi to make his donation public were the same people that falsely accused Fr Mbaka of receiving a secret inducement from Buhari in 2015 to prophesy in his favour. If Fr Mbaka had received one kobo of Peter Obi in private, tomorrow he will be accused of receiving billions from him and Atiku . We rather thank God for giving Fr Mbaka the wisdom to refuse the lure of any private donation from Obi, the PDP vice Presidential Candidate, as such would have been used against him this time by APC to attack him especially if his 31stDecember Prophesy goes in favour of PDP.
“Nigerians should know that Fr Mbaka doesn’t not belong to any political party. He speaks to leaders as the Spirit gives him utterances and support them based on their individual virtues and divine revelations rather than party affiliation. To buttress this point, Governor IfeanyiUgwuanyi of Enugu and Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state whom Fr Mbaka praised at the event belong to PDP. Senator Hope Uzodimma of Imo state who represented President Buhari at the event and the Ganduje, the Governor of Kano belong to APC, Senator Victor Umeh of Anambra state who was also at the event belonged to APGA. If Fr Mbaka is partisan, the event of that day would not have been opened to all irrespective of their party affiliations”, She revealed.

Politics / 2019: Enugu Apc Reps Candidate Blows Hot by Squeezepro: 10:51pm On Nov 05, 2018
Ahead of the 2019 election, the controversies that trailed the APC primary election in Enugu State is far from over. Barr Ikechukwu Maximus Ugwuoke, also known as Hakuna Matata, an APC House of Representative hopeful for Nsukka Igboeze South Federal constituency on Sunday broke silence over the APC Enugu primaries insisting that he remains the winner of the primaries and the party’s Candidate and will resist every attempt by anyone to manipulate the process no matter whose ox is gored. Speaking during the meeting he held with some stake holders of his Hakuna Matata Support Group he said. “I remain the validly elected candidate of APC for Nsukka Igboeze South Federal constituency who emerged from the direct primary election held by the APC on the 3rdday of October 2018 and no one can deny me that mandate. I have a copy of the result of that primary where I scored the highest number of votes cast and I will resist the orchestrated imposition of whomever as the candidate of the party”.

“In my social media handle I raised this alarm on the day of the primaries. The Prof Momo led Electoral panel was originally drafted to Enugu to conduct indirect primary against the demands of the stakeholders of the party for direct primaries, when the National Working Committee of the party cancelled the indirect primary that started with Guber Primary and changed all Enugu primaries from indirect to direct primary, the same Prof Momoh committee who told the aspirants that did not come to Enugu with the material for direct primary still went ahead to summon all aspirants at the party secretariat were he addressed us. After the address he told all aspirants to go to their various wards and local government areas and wait for the purported material which they had earlier admitted they didn’t come with. I knew right from then that they were up to something. They refused any aspirant or our agents from accompanying them to disperse the purported material. They left the venue in company of the factional chairman of the party Dr Ben Nwoye and that was the last anyone saw him. They decided to go to and abode at Nike lake Hotel where they drew up a list of some purported winners without holding any election. They made no announcement of any result that day and even the following day because they knew they conducted no election.

“I put them to the strictest prove to come up with evidence of any election which they claimed to have held. I raised this alarm that they conducted no election and that anything that will result from such manipulation shall not stand. Check my facebook pages and whatsapp you will still see my post there.

But as fate would have it, that same day, the Enugu APC under the chairmanship of Deacon Okey Ogbodo that wanted the direct primaries from the onset was well prepared and well equipped with the materials for the direct primary election and had fully complied with all the knownlegitimate steps for the conduct of the election as stipulated in the APC party guideline for conduct of the 2018 Direct primaries. They had also notified the relevant security agencies and the INEC of their readiness for the election prior to that date. And so they went ahead with the conduct of the election in the various wards in the state. The results were collated as stipulated in the party guideline and in my constituency I emerged winner with a very wide margin to defeat my two other opponents Mr Emma Agama who came second and Engr Ik Ugwuegede who came third.

“I later heard the rumor that Engr Ugwuegede is laying claims as the party candidate, how?I repeat without mincing words that any attempt to impose him as the party candidate will spell a doom for APC as far as my constituency is concerned. Besides the fact that he did not emerge the winner of the primary through any democratic means, he is not a qualified member of APC and as such cannot be the Party’s candidate for that election. I have all it takes to prove this in Court if the party goes on with this impunity. He doesn’t possess the requisite qualifications for that office, I know what I mean and will let the cat out of the bag if the party decides to forge ahead with this impunity. The court of law is there to clean up any mess that anyone may want to do to circumvent this truth. Thank God I am a minister in the temple of justice, that is where I have proudly laboured for over a decade now, so I wouldn’t just say I will drag all those that may be involved in this impunity to court, I would rather say I am already waiting for them in the Court because that is where I already belong.

“I have confidence in our judicial system to right any wrong. As a lawyer, I am not new to controversies and good enough Ugwuegede is not new to controversy either. The difference perhaps lies on who can go the extra mile. I am determined to go that mile the legal way. What is morally wrong cannot be politically right. It does matter whose name is sent to INEC. I have filled and submitted my INEC Form, it doesn’t matter whose data is published by INEC, the final list of Candidates will be out by January 2019 by INEC timetable and even after then it doesn’t foreclose the avenue to remedy any injustice done in the process. Good enough under our law, INEC doesn’t print any candidate’s name on the ballot paper, it is the name of the political parties that are printed there. I pray and will continue to work for APC to win the general election in my constituency, then after we will know who has the valid claim to the party’s ticket in my constituency. The wind of justice grinds slowly but it will surely grind to a halt.

“Recall that in 2015, Engr Ugwuegede contested this same position with the incumbent, Dr Pat Asadu in PDP. He claimed he had the mandate and my constituents believed him and voted massively for PDP. But guess what, he never smelled that office as the incumbent went to court and was declared the rightful candidate of PDP after the 2015 general election. That was how the incumbent who never did any campaign in 2015 and who in the real sense was never in contemplation of voters as the candidate during the election went back to the green chambers for the third term. Ugwuegede’s appeal to Court of Appeal and to the Supreme Court did not succeed. What this means in plain simple terms is that both the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court took judicial notice of the fact that he stole the incumbent’s mandate during the 2014 PDP Primary election.May be history is about to repeat itself again. If he has the anointing for wining election with someone's mandate, I should be happy for it beause this time I will be the beneficiary.

“This time around there has been a widespread clamour of the good people of Nsukka/Igboeze South federal constituency to stop the bid of the incumbent, Dr Pat Asadu to return to the green chambers for the forth term. We the Nsukka People have been agitating that it was high time we took our turn of the position after 12 whopping years of retention of the powerby the incumbent who is from our sister LGA , Igboeze South LGA . Instead of apologizing to my constituents for his inability to consolidate the mandate given to him in PDP in 2014,Ugwuegede jumped into APC about the time we were picking nomination form obviously to do what he did in PDP. Steal my mandate? Never. Those who are backing him will soon be disgraced. Let them claim he is APC candidate and go ahead with his campaign when the ban on campaign is lifted. He did it in PDP but lost in the end. He didn’t learn from that mistake. He now wants to repeat it again in APC. I assure you he will loseagain at the end because in mathematics one plus one will always be two any time any day.History repeats itself because we refuse to learn from it.

“My concern is that my constituents are looking on to APC now as a credible alternative to ventilate their wishes in 2019 general election especially now that PDP has goofed in giving back their ticket to the incumbent to contest for the fourth term. Ugwuegede doesn’t have what it takes to win the incumbent. If Dr Pat Asadu could wrestle the power out of him in 2014 inspite of the entire backup he had from the then Governor of the state, how much more now that he doesn’t seem to have such backup. Dr Pat Asadu knows Ugwuegede’s weak points and will still wrestle the powers from him even if he wins at the general election. Nsukka /Igboeze South Federal Constituency cannot continue to watch these two gladiators toil with their fate since 2014 till date when we have many better undertakers which I happen to be one of them.In every generation there will always be a David that must confront the Goloiaths. As at date, neither Ugwuegede nor Dr Asadu has any clearmanifestoes known to my people on what to do for them with the legislative powers they are seeking. I have a clear defined manifesto encapsulated in my I-Web Roadmap which I have unveiled during my official declaration for this race. My mission is divine. The title of my official declaration speech was ‘sunrise of change from the East’. My vision and mission has not changed and they are unstoppable as so long as no one can stop the sun from rising.

“I have the overwhelming support of my constituents.God has positionedme for that office and I will perform better than the incumbent in that office. I have both the legal and divine weapons to win the incumbent and to retain and defend that victory to any length.

“I don’t have anything personal against Engr Ugwuegede, we have been friends of late. I am only against the way people are going about deceiving him maybe because of the money or whatever they want from him. I blame APC as a party for not solving the factional problem it has inthe state before delving into the primary election. This is the result of it.

Speaking on the issue of the gubernatorial candidate of the party in the state, Barr Ugwuoke said“I make bold to state that I have my support for Barr George Ogara. He emerged through the same process that I emerged. He is better prepared for that job going by his sacrifice for the party and his antecedents. He and his deputy, Ginika Tor Williams stand for the conscience of the party in the state. Besides this, the power equation in Enugu North Zone where the party had zone her Guber candidate and which is where both Sentor Ayogu and Barr Ogara comes from favours Barr Ogara all the more. This is because; the Zone has three Federal Constituencies, Igbo Etiti/Uzouwani Federal Constituency, Udenu/Igboeze South Federal Constituency and Nsukka/Igboeze South federal constituency. Out of these three federal constituencies that make up Enugu North zone, the other two had taken a shot at the Guber position in the state. Former Governor of the State, Okwesilieze Nwodo is from Igboetiti/Uzouwani, he wasthe governor for one term, the current state governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi who is from Udenu/Igboeze North is about finishing his first term, it is only equitable that if there should be a change of the baton this time, it should be from Nsukka/Igboeze South Constituency and that is my constituency which coincidentally is where Bar Ogara comes from. He is from Igboeze South LGA, I am from Nsukka LGA.”I have the freedom to support whoever I choose and I have long taken that decision.
Religion / Do Not Lose Hope- Fr Ejike Mbaka Reveals by Squeezepro: 11:53am On Apr 10, 2018
There are people who are passing through some painful and ugly situations that have thrown them into a deep sense of despair and made them felt like giving up. There are some people who have been forsaken, abandoned and rejected. Some lack resources of any kind to pursue their goals and aspirations in life. Worse still, there are those who have physical impairment and often find themselves unable to cope with life’s' challenges. There are also people who have been diagnosed with life threatening diseases who are over whelmed with the thought of dying. Some are jobless, financially handicapped, barren, oppressed, defeated, and some others are passing through indescribable traumatic experiences.’ In spite of all these, there is still hope’, Fr. Mbaka declared.
In this period of Easter which commemorates Jesus resurrection, Fr. Mbaka enjoins the adorers not to lose hope and confidence in God no matter what they are passing through, that even though Jesus was taken away and crucified on the cross, He is still alive to restore back every lost hope.

No matter what you are passing through, don’t lose hope. I said, no matter what you are passing through, don’t give up. No matter what you are passing through, keep on worshiping the Lord. Don’t allow any condition to stop you from worshiping God. The condition will change, only if you don’t lose hope.
The bible says in Ezra 10: 1-2, ‘’while Ezra was praying and confessing, weeping and throwing himself down before the house of God, a large crowd of Israelites-men, women and children gathered around him. They too wept bitterly”. This is the kind of action that touches God and changes ugly conditions -approaching Him in humility and in tears, not complaining, grumbling nor trying to give up in the face of crisis in your life. Then in verse 2, Shecaniah son of Jehiel, said to Ezra, “we have been unfaithful to our God by marrying foreign women from the people around us. But in spite of this, there is still hope for Israel”.
Our disobedience to the commandment of God could be responsible for what we are passing through sometimes. In that case, I stand in the gap to ask God for His mercy and favour upon everybody here. The bible says in Romans 3:23,”all have sin and falling short of the Glory of God”. In any way we have sin against God, we pray for His mercy and pardon. Zechariah 3:9 says, “I will remove the sins of this land in a single day”. I am console by the word of God in Hebrew 8:12, “Your sins I will forgive your iniquities I will remember no more”. In Luke 23:34, Jesus cried on the cross, “Father forgive them for they know not what they are doing’’.
I therefore join Ezra to pray for God’s mercy and pardon upon all that are listening to this message, so that God in His infinite mercy will change our ugly conditions that are in the verge of making you lose hope in Him.
Ugly conditions can make us to lose hope in God. People can begin to mess up once they have lost hope. Hope is like a pillar in a building, such that when it is no longer there, the whole house can collapse.
A State of hopelessness
There are many people who are losing hope because of the constant record of deaths in their families; many are losing hope because of incurable disease, chronic barrenness, wretchedness and joblessness; there are many who cannot afford one square meal a day in this country and they are losing hope; A man who promise to marry you have suddenly stop calling you and would not even pick your call. You are experiencing a lot of promise and fail in your life; in your business, instead of moving forward, your are retrogressing. Your colleagues are doing far better than you; as a student, you have been writing exams and failing; many are mesmerized and betrayed by friends and they are as well losing hope; you have been praying for a particular intention for a long time and the answers are not forth coming. In spite of your prayers and devotion to God, things are not working out fine, and you have started losing hope. Also you might have tried all possible solutions but things are still the way they are. In utter desperation and hopelessness, you muttered; ‘what else do I do’? All am asking you to do is, ‘don’t lose hope’. I join Ezra in Ezra10:26 to say,” in spite of all these, there is still hope”. All of your prayers are not in vain. In the spiritual, there is what we call prayer bank where prayers are being stored. Keep praying; before you know it, God will surprise you.
Put your trust in God
When man fails to help you, don’t lose hope, because God can help you. Even if you have failed, you can rise up. Somebody who is considered a failure in life is he who fails and refuses to rise. Even if you are down, declare Job 22:29, that there is a lifting up for you. With your faith and hope in God, there will be a lifting up. And even if your friends can’t lift you up, God can do that for you. Remember what happen in Mathew 4, when Peter was drowning. In verse 30, he cried out to Jesus,’’ Lord, save me’’. He believed that Jesus can save him. Jesus lifted his hands, and brought out Peter. Wherever you have falling; financially, spiritually, emotionally, vocationally, be lifted up. Even if your joy, hope, faith, wisdom, love has falling, there is a lifting up for you. Let the sick, barren women, young men and women in their difficult situation be lifted up. Remember that sorrow endure for the night but joy cometh in the morning. No condition is permanent. Believe that your ugly condition is for the glory of God. There will be light at the end of the tunnel. Just put your trust in God.
Put on a joyful attitude to attract your miracles
Even in your ugly situations, try to remain joyful. The Holy Spirit dwells in a joyful atmosphere. You can easily attract your miracles from God if you remain joyful. Isaiah 12:13 says,’’ with joy we shall draw water from the well of salvation. Don’t lose hope; rather let’s go to draw water with our altitude of joy: water of miracles, water of righteousness, water of faith, child bearing and healings. God can do all things. He can turn what is black to white. Even if it’s impossible with man, it’s not impossible with God. No wonder in Luke 1:37, Angel Gabriel said, with God nothing is impossible. No wonder Jesus also said in Mathew. 7:20, for them that believe, nothing is impossible.
Do not lose hope because of your financial status. God can change your status. Your money can locate you miraculously. It is God that gives one the power to be wealthy, as stated in Deuteronomy 8:18. If you have labored for so long, and you have not yet being rich, don’t lose hope. In a short while, wealth will locate you. In Mathew 17: 27, Jesus ordered Peter to go to the lake and threw his net to catch a fish, and inside the fish, there would be four coin there to use and pay their tax. How the money entered the mouth of the fish, nobody knows. So you should not worry how God will provide your own money for you. Just have faith, and stop losing hope.
Even if you have fallen, don’t give up. Try again, because the downfall of a man is not the end of his life. In Philemon 10, God blessed Onesmus and made him great. You too can become great, only if you don’t give up.
Hopelessness can cause high blood pressure, hypertension and frustration. God has plans for you. In Jeremiah 29:11, He has plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. In Zephaniah 3:30, God is going to reverse your captivity, and in Psalm 35: 27, He promised to take interest in your prosperity. So, refuse to bow down to this ugly situation, refuse to give up. God is still alive. I assure you, what you are crying over, is going to cry over you. Even if you are losing hope, because there are no jobs, they can be new jobs tomorrow. If you don’t lose hope, God will open double doors for you and go before you to level every mountain as in Isaiah 45: 1-2.
In 2Kings 4, there was a widow who had lost hope because of her condition. She never knew Elisha was coming. The woman cried out to Elisha, “My husband is dead and his creditor is coming to take my two sons as his slaves". Elisha asked her, "What do you have"? The woman answered that she had nothing but a little quantity of oil that is left in the jar. Elisha told her to go and borrow jars. They started dropping a little quantity of oil on those jars till all got filled up. He asked her to go and sell all to be able to pay her debt. God will also intervene in your case, when you think all hope is lost.
Remember also what happen in 1Kings 17, when Elijah ran into the cave because there was a famine in the land after his declaration that there would be no rain for few years, and there were looking for him to kill him. Many of you are living in the cave now because of a bad condition. Some have even gone back to their villages because their business has collapsed. But it is not enough to give up. If Elijah the prophet could live in the cave for the main time, you too can also live in the cave of your life for sometimes, but am sure you will not remain there forever. The cave is not your permanent abode. God will bring you out of that cave after a little while, only if you don’t lose up.
I hereby recharge your hope with this word of God, so that from today henceforth, you will begin to make a positive confession, as in Romans 10:10. Change your confession and utterances, and begin to speak faith. Numbers 14: 28 says,''Whatever I hear you say to my hearing, I will do it for you. If you always speak lack, poverty, sickness, barrenness, they might come to you. Remember the bible enjoin us in Joel3:10,''let the weak say, I am strong". That is positive confession. You are speaking it not because you have it, but because God can provide it. Look at the case of Abraham in Genesis22. Abraham did not lose hope and faith in God even when all hope seems lost. Look at his statement in verse 5,” I am going to sacrifice with my son and we are coming back’’. He did not mention that Isaac was going to die. He intensified his faith in verse 8, when Isaac spoke up and said to him,” fire and wood are here, but where is the lamb for the sacrifice? Abraham answered, “The lord will provide”. Indeed the lord provided the lamb for the sacrifice. Isaac was no longer killed. So you don’t have to give up, because God will provide for you, in a time when you least expected it.

Try again; don’t give up
You might have been trying to succeed but success is not forth coming. Don’t give up. It may just be one more step to reach to your destination of success. If you happen to give up at that point, all your previous effort will now be in vain. If your first, second, and even third attempt did not work out, try again. I give you an example of the people of Israel in Joshua 6, when they got to Jericho on their way to the land of Canaan. They matched around the city for six days and on the seventh day, the wall did not collapse. They did not lose hope. The man of God, Joshua commanded them to match around the wall seven times on the seventh day, on the sound of the trumpet, the wall of Jericho fell down. What pull the wall down was the amalgamation of their efforts right from the first day they started matching, and not just the last one. If it were you, you would have concluded that it would not fall down again, you would have given up. God loves a persevering attitude. Who is going to try again after falling? Don’t say because your business did not flourish last year; because your farm did not do well; because you were disappointed; because you miscarried, you will not try again.
Some Christians are lazy. They only exercise faith but don’t match it with a corresponding work. Only faith cannot prosper you. It must be faith and good work. Start something no matter how small it is. God will bless your hand works, and before you know what is happening, you will grow and become a boss. . The bible said in job 8: 7, though your beginning is little, your later days will be greater. Also Zechariah 4:10 says, ‘’forgets you not the days of your little beginning. So even in your small beginning, don’t lose hope, God can lift you up. Always think well, plan well, get focused, work harder, and then with prayer, God can shock you.
I take your mind back to the story of Naaman, the commander of the army of the king of Aram, who was suffering from leprosy, in 2 Kings 5. When prophet Elisha asked him to go to the River Jordan and dip himself seven times in order to be healed, he was discouraged. He was not even humble enough to take instructions from the man of God. If not for his servant girl who encouraged him to heed to the instructions of the man of God, he would have lost an opportunity to get his healing. Some of you are not humble enough to receive advice from your superior on how to make it in life. All you do is complaining and blaming people for your bad situations. The bible enjoins us to be humble in 1Peter 5:6, “humble yourself and in due time, God will exalt you’’.
Even if you have gone to the hospital and was given a medical report that seems the end has come, don’t lose hope. God can heal you, no matter the name of the sickness. It is at this period of Easter that He took our sicknesses and heals our diseases. By His wounds, we are healed. Even if your organ has been destroyed by a particular sickness, don’t lose hope, because a new organ can be planted. Romans 4:17 says that He calls into existence what does not exist, for He raises even the dead. Act 17:25 said that He gives life, air and everything. He can provide you with all that you need to live a fulfilled life, only if you don’t give you.
O lord, we stand in your words and pray that you save your people from their state of hopelessness. Remove every ugly situations that have made them want to lose hope and faith in you. Sustain their hope with your grace in Jesus name, Amen.

Religion / The Rich Fool And The Vice Of Vanity by Squeezepro: 10:30am On Jul 31, 2016
(Sermon for 18th Sunday July 31st) Today some people might be planning a change of wardrobe, or a change of car or completing a move to a new home. Today again some people have concluded plans to replace their flat-screen TV with the curved one or their phone with the latest one by Apple or Samsung. At the same time some people are buying new jets, commencing expensive holidays and replacing their retinue of cosmetics or jewelries. While this is going on, those who don't have these items and cannot afford them today are saving for them, or cursing heaven and earth for being unable to afford such luxuries.

What does the Holy Book exhort Christians to understand today and guard against? What exactly does God mean by vanity? what is probably the biggest lesson of today is to understand the borderline between consuming to satisfy genuine needs and consuming for consumption sake; to distinguish between needs and wants. Christians are invited to shun this bad habit of modern life and put a stop what the biggest evil of our life today.

There are many reasons why this is true. Here I will give only three namely vanity injures the soul, it constitutes a physical damage on the earth our common home and constitutes a social evil as well. Let me explain.

The soul is not a material thing and no amount of material consumption can satisfy the soul. We must not forget that as Christians our true identity is in our Soul wherein our resemblance with God lies. Being an immaterial entity it cannot be satisfied by material things. True, we need our body to house our soul and to that extent the body is important for the soul. Material things are important for a happy life. But it is not material things that can satisfy the soul. It is in fact true that the more we consume the higher the tendency to forget the soul altogether as the example of the parable today illustrates. The rich man is entirely occupies with the desires of the body and is willing to pull down his barn to make a new one, in order to give his body a new lease of life. Jesus calls him the big fool, because he misplaces his priorities.

The next point is the physical damage to the environment. We might be wondering the connection between our willingness to consume and the present danger to which the earth is exposed. Scientists talk today of global warming or the ecological damage that confront us. That the earth is in danger is something that should worry us because our common home is in danger. It is in danger because relentless exploitation of the earth, which goes on in order to feed our vanity, will continue unless we shun excessive consumption. From a common sense point of view, it will affect us in an adverse way. Manufacturing companies are continously tapping on the limited resources of the earth in such a way as to upset the delicate balance in nature. Those who manufacture items do not pay attention to this delicate balance which is the tragedy of today's world. Pope Francis, in his last encyclical Laudato Si condemned this wanton pillaging of the earth's resource. It is evil for many reasons. One the resources are limited. So relentless consumption is not sustainable. Two the future generation is endangered. What kind of people are we, if we squander everything today without paying the slightest attention to the needs of tomorrow? To be sustainable, for the earth to be able to regenerate itself we must be able to reduce our consumption. And it begins with you.

Lastly the socially damage is more. Each time we consume luxury products, that is, when we feed our vanity, we offend those who don't have. There is a relationship between us and the rest of people in the world so we cannot consume in such a way that disregards the needs of others. It is even worse when we consume luxury items when our brothers and sisters are unable to afford the basic needs of life. It is important to notice that each time we feed our vanity we generate a tension that has a chain reaction. For instance the decision of a man to change his car will increase when his neighbours have changed theirs. In other words when he wishes to do as his other neighbours to have done, and is unable to do so, jealousy will follow. Jealousy in turn will generate other forms of evil like stealing, cheating, hatred, crime etc. The earth has enough for our needs but not for our greed.

Mahatma Ghandi told a story of himself in his book MY EXPERIMENT WITH TRUTH, of how he insisted on living on the same amount of resource even though his income increased exponentially. He resisted the temptation to change his accommodation, to change his wardrobe, to change his meal for its own sake, because he understood that changing it was not important for the preservation of his soul. In this way he was happier, but even more he was able to give out the surplus to those who were less fortunate.

I have a friend who is a rich man. He owns a little car and more often rode on his bicycle. he once told me that he did not wear scents did not use branded items such as clothes, scents or house furniture, because deep down he was convinced that a happy life did not lie on what one owned or what one consumed. He needs dresses surely, but he did not have to wear M&S or Next or Vasace or all sorts of modern day brands in order not to be a slave to them.

These two examples contrasts with other two extremes such as the story of Imelda Macos or one-time Interior Minister in Nigeria. Imelda Macos, former wife of the President of Philippines, is the global face of vanity. He owned over 3,000 pairs of shoes, 4,000 handbags, 5,000 dresses and a huge number of jewelries and perfumes. Today in the Philippines her luxury possessions are now preserved in a Vanity Museum a metaphor of the deep vice of vanity when it bewitches the soul. Thank God, ticket fees to visit the Museum are slowly recovering the money she used to feed her personal vanity and some of it might be used for common good.

There was this Nigerian minister, he vanity was infinite. He had as many cars as he had suits, and he had a driver to each car numbering over 50. He went to work in the car which marched the colour of his suit. While he was doing this, millions of other people were languishing in hunger and deprivation. But the story of Imelda and the Minister find a semblance everyday around us. It might not reach that level, but at the same time it is still an offense against God, against our neighbour, against society to live in such a way that we seek to satisfy vanity.

The truth is that it is impossible to satisfy vanity. By its nature vanity is amorphous, it changed the moment we reach our new target. The satisfaction we get is only momentary. No sooner have we moved into a new home than we see a bigger one. No sooner have we bought a new car than we begin to notice bigger ones. No sooner have we changed our phone than advertisements begin to bombard our senses with new ones. In effect it is impossble to quench. As already stated the biggest lesson of today might be to know when to stop, when to say no to the relentless stirring of our soul towards a new material acquision. That desire is not true. To extinguish it today, to be more charitable in our consumption, to return to the safe haven of modesty and moderation might be the truest thing to do. This is what the Lord wants us to do today to save our lives and the world from ruin.
Religion / Does Religion Under-develop Societies? by Squeezepro: 6:58pm On Jun 29, 2016
What kind of human beings does religion make of us men? This is probably a simple question, because to ask a man to value himself is a task that will almost probably not come out balanced.

What kind of society does religion make of our collective relationship? This is more challenging since what is at stake here is how our private religious orientations bears out on collective and cooperative life?

Does religion produce patriotic or selfish citizens? Does religion undermine or promote social cohesion? Does religions undermine or promote hard-work? Does religion liberate or enslave us our minds? Can religion contribute to solving social problems or does it make it worse?

What roles did religion play in bringing Nigeria to where it is today?

Religion / Holy Eucharist, Communion Of The Faithful, Mercy Of God by Squeezepro: 3:58pm On May 31, 2016
Why is 2015/16 known as the Year of Mercy in the Catholic Church? Why does Pope Francis always speak of the mercy of God rather than judgement of God as many other preachers are inclined to do? In what specific way does Pope Francis help to clarify the mission of the Church in today's world?

On this Feast of the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ (Eucharist) given to the world by Our Lord Jesus Christ for their nourishment, it seems to me apt to address these issues, because communion, as the Body and Blood of Christi is known among members is a sign of the physical membership in the church. In other words anyone who receive communion belonged and those who did not, were considered outside the Church in some sense. In other words whoever did not receive the Body and Blood of Jesus did not belong, as it were, or rather stopped belonging when he stopped receiving. I believe this is the reason it is very important, indeed crucial who did or did not receive.

Looking back a bit might make things clearer. In those days, an active and exemplary priest was one who was strict, who did not tolerate nonsense whose hallmark was 'barring' Christians from receiving Holy Communion and other sacraments of the church. Some Bishops were good at that. The list is endless. Young people who married non-Catholics, as well as their parents were 'forbidden' to take Holy Communion. Young girls who became pregnant before wedding were barred etc. Church wardens simply placed their hands on people's heads, for whatever reason they felt like, and the priest would omit the people where they are kneeling for communion.

It is this kind of scenario that presents itself, when it has taken a centre stage the debate of whether re-married people should be admitted to communion or not. In like manner whether the lesbians or homosexuals should be admitted to communion or not. Put in other words, are these baptised Christians still members of the Church since they are not allowed to partake in Holy Communion?
When Pope Francis argued that he is not worthy to even judge the publicly stigmatized and condemned people, he was taking a turn from the tradition.

This point is quite delicate and not very easy to grasp. If a priest chased people out of church for being late or barred them from communion for being unworthy, he has changed his mission. His new task now consists in 'barring' people from communion. Or put in other words, in 'judging them as unworthy of the Holy Eucharist. But this is precisely what Pope Francis is saying that this is not the mission of the Church. The mission of the Church is NOT in denying people communion, but rather in offering the body and blood of Jesus to her members for their nourishment. Missions are usually defined in direct terms such as "bringing the good news of Jesus to all". It will never read like "making sure that unworthy people did not receive the body of Christi".

Strictly speaking therefore, the Church has no business seeking out and defining exclusionary messages. On the contrary it should focus on preaching the message of salvation, which is the message of God's mercy. And this is even more so when we all have fallen short of the glory of God. Year of Mercy is to remind us that we all need the mercy of God not just the stigmatized sinners. The pope wishes us to turn the table and take the position of sinners and see the heavy burden that the Church that is supposed to be for the salvation of the sinners is not a place for their condemnation. It is a pity that the church has taken this course for long. Pope Francis wishes us to end.

But practically what it means is that it is up to every Christian to make up his mind or not to come for communion. Because conscience is subjective likewise spirituality, it is actually wrong to over-emphasise external unworthiness over the internal one. But even if the Church does preach it, it is not up to her to implement it. The Church should have the face of mercy, and happily and willingly welcome people. This is mercy, this is the face of God. Unfortunately, even though Jesus shows us this example again and again, the Church put itself in the other odd habit of condemning sinners and causing them more pain. In doing this it fails in its mission.

The mission of a teacher is to impart knowledge. If a teacher closes the school gate because pupils do come late, she compromises her duty because closing the gate is not her mission rather teaching. So the teacher should continue to teach those who come into the class in order to realize her own mission as teacher.

Divorced people, non-Catholics, ex-Catholics, re-married people, lesbians, homosexuals, murderers etc are welcome to the Church of God where his mercy is abundant. They are welcome to communion if they think they need it for conversion or for salvation. it is not the duty of the Church to turn people out. Rather, all those who come to God have come to find life in him. It is the duty of the Church to welcome them and encourage them to be open to God's mercy.
