Troops have been rehearsing for the coronation by marching through the streets of London in the middle of the night.

Commonwealth troops have also been rehearsing.

Royal fans have been camping on the streets for days in order to get a good spot to watch the royal procession as it goes by.

Picture 3: A Royal Procession.

Picture 4: The Gold State Coach. It will be used for the procession from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace. Every monarch that has used it has complained about it. I remember watching a documentary in which Queen Elizabeth II complained about the uncomfortable ride in the coach.

When you get accustomed to travelling in only Rolls Royces and Bentleys an ordinary carriage will be very uncomfortable for you not minding the fact that it's made of pure gold grin

The next coronation will likely not take place for at least 15 or 20 years

The Stone of Destiny has left Edinburgh Castle for the first time in more than 25 years as it heads to London for the coronation of King Charles III.

The stone, an ancient symbol of Scotland's monarchy, was seized by King Edward I of England in the late 13th Century and taken to Westminster Abbey.

It remained in England for 700 years and formed part of the coronation chair on which kings and queens were crowned.

The stone was returned for permanent display in Scotland in 1996.

But it was was agreed it would return to Westminster Abbey for any future coronation ceremony.
