thanx man. pls lets keep d search on. i'l holla if i find anything also. but i must confess i am on d verge of abandoning d modem. d main issue is etisalat megabits seem to get used up faster. somedays even without downloading i use up 40mb in one hr. whereas glo aint like that. 500mb on etisalat doesnt last 1wk even without downloading and i am just sick of it.

@ shiloboy. finally i was able to download d elusive haier unlocker (had 2 turn off my avast). d prob is i dont kno how to use it. dont kno what comm port or bit rate to select, and even if i do i cant see any action key to click so as to begin d unlocking

@strictyan: I have gotten the app but i think it needs he modem to be directly connected to the system for it to work. Try and use a stable connection and download as a free user. Let me know how it goes

@ shilohboy. was able to start d download but my avast antivirus keeps reporting a threat (trojan). so its blocking d download

guys i once heard about d existence of external antenna for mobile phones to boost network reception. pls can anyone confirm this, plus if yes how to get one. cos some of us were sent to remote parts of Nigeria for NYSC.

i greet all d gurus in the house. pls has anyone yet figured a way to unlike etisalat modems. its doesnt recognize other sims, hence doesnt pop up any place to type an unlock code. also the modem is somehow invisible to the unlocking software, hence direct unlocking isnt possible. someone with a solution should pls reply. thanks

i use an etisalat modem and i have got d unlock code, however the modem doesnt recognise sims from other networks. it always dispalys a unrecognised sim message, giving no options for the input of an unlock code. SOMEONE PLS HELP

i live in kaduna state and i noticed the same thing too. does it mean these guys can actually provide reasonable power supply if they want to. na wa o. so we are suffering just so that some people can make money from diesel and generator importation.
