The Nigerian army recently Reopened the express way for passage after being closed due to the terrorist sect that has dealt a severe blow to Nigeria known as Boko Haram.


The Nigerian Chief army staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai announced this at the launch of Army Combat Motor Bikes in Damboa, headquarters of Damboa Local Government Area of the state.

He said the Nigerian army would work towards securing the lives and properties of motorists plying the roads.

The Northern Elders Forum (NEF) has urged the Federal Government not to humiliate former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan if he is found guilty of stealing public funds and agrees to return the money. According to punch the NEF said Jonathan should be imprisoned if it is proven that he looted and he refuses to return the funds.

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state has said his government will prevent a scenario were children take to the streets to beg.
Speaking at the official commissioning of Models Girls secondary school, Kwandere, in Lafia local government, Governor Al-Makura bemoaned Almajiris (street beggars) and urged parents send their wards to school.
According to Al-Makura, the Almajiris were being denied right to education and made to wander about like loosed animals without control, Vanguard reports.

The most wanted ex-militant Leader in the Niger Delta region, Government Ekpemupolo (AKA Tompolo) yesterday sent a protest letter to President Muhammadu Buhari over an alleged plot by members of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) from Bayelsa and Delta States to frame him as the sponsor of bomb attacks against oil facilities in the region.
According to Tompolo, though he has repeatedly denied involvement in the alleged case of a N13 billion land deal fraud and the bombing of oil facilities leveled against him, the priming investigation by him showed that the desperate plot to hang him is being hatched by the Governorship candidate of the APC in Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva, a lawyer attached to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), and one of his kinsmen within Delta State.

Nigeria’s Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Dambazau, has been caught on tape using an officer of Nigeria’s secret police, the State Security Service, to clean his shoes in public.


A video sent to PREMIUM TIMES by one of its readers showed the minister, dressed in white gown, relaxing on a couch with his legs stretched out.

The SSS officer appeared from the sides, with a handkerchief in his right hand and a holstered service pistol protruding from his jacket.

He was shown stooping before the minister, using his left hand to lift Mr. Dambazau’s right leg, slightly above the floor to clean his loafers.

The minister bent his head to notice him, before looking away to focus on the event unfolding in a distance.

The minister was at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Academy in an Abuja suburb for an event in December.

He was seated between what seemed to be top officers of the NSCDC who merely took short glances at the SSS officer stooping before them.
