Education / Fuoye Vc Orders For the Arrest Of Union Leaders by talk2james(m): 5:37pm On May 31, 2017 |
In what look like an unending drama, the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Oye-Ekiti has ordered for the arrest of the Union leaders of the University. As you will recall that the Unions under the aegis of Joint Action Congress comprising of SSANU, NASU and NAAT have proceeded on an indefinite strike due to the insensitivity of the University management to their plight. The Unions has asked among other things for the immediate withdrawal of suspension letters issued to some of her members, judicious promotion of members of staff who are due and qualified since 2014 and who are yet to be promoted, payment of deserved allowances etc. However instead of the management attending to this issues raised by the Unions, they resolve to impunity and use of Police to arrest innocent staff members. As this is being typed, the arrested staff members are been remanded behind bars at Police custody at Ado Ekiti. For how long will this injustice continue at Federal University Oye-Ekiti and the management believe she can do anything they want with Staff with no eye brow raised from any quarters. Attached are some pix of the members being transported from Oye-Ekiti to Ado-Ekiti today for unlawful detention. Kindly rebroadcast until it get to the cream de la cream in the country who can help fight this injustice. Cc: Lalasticlala, kindly move to fp

Education / FUOYE conducting Examination under abnormal conditions by talk2james(m): 9:40am On Apr 04, 2017 |
Few days ago it was reported that Federal University Oye-Ekiti TECHNOLOGISTS protested the suspension of their Occupational Hazard Allowance for just no reason (This is an allowance that has been payed close to three years running). Hence they gave the management notice of down tooling starting from today. Fast forward to today, about 1000 students of 100 level are writing CHM 101 exams and the TECHNOLOGISTS decided to have their laboratories under lock and key and the school decided to go ahead to proof a point to the striking TECHNOLOGISTS that they can't do anything hence they decided to conduct exams under these conditions as reflected in the attached photos. Shouldn't the Ministry of Education be asking some important questions from the VC FUOYE and the council. More pictures to follow soon as this is happening right now.

Education / Fuoye Technologists Protest Non Payment Of Allowances by talk2james(m): 2:22pm On Mar 27, 2017 |
National Association of Academic Technologists of Federal University Oye-Ekiti protested the suspension of the payment of their occupational hazard allowance today, taking the peaceful protest March to the office of the Vice Chancellor Prof Kayode Soremekun. The allowance which has been payed the union for four years running was haphazardly suspended to please other unions (SSANU and NASU) who also protested late last year. The allowance they protested about is something that has been appropriated for in the 2017 budget. Hence, NAAT FUOYE is pleading with the Minister of Education, VC FUOYE, Management staff and all concerned to prevail on them to pay the arears owed this peace loving Union.

Even if he fix it, won't the state be refunded. Will he also make this noise when FG refunds? |

Gov. Fayose in his usual manner of throwing jab at the Buhari led Federal Government is at it again. The sign post below by Gov Fayose was what greeted me as I entered Ekiti State today. The road the Gov is planning to fix is also the one attached as you can see. What is it between this man Fayose and the FG?

Career / Re: Federal University Lafia is Paying Half Salary for January 2016!!! by talk2james(m): 3:46pm On Feb 10, 2016 |
Not disputing the fact that there might be internal issues with your university but also in FUOYE, OYE-Ekiti not all got their December and January salaries. Reason blamed on shortfalls from allocation from FG. |

Herd Of Cows Ran Into A Luxurious Bus Along Ilesa - Ibadan (pictures) This happened around 10am today along Ilesa-Ibadan expressway. A herd of cow ran into a luxurious bus full with passengers probably heading to Lagos, a major disaster that would have led to the loss of many lives was averted thanks to God and the professionalism of the luxurious bus driver. However 11 of the cows loss their lives. As at the time I got there (on transit to Ibadan) the luxurious bus (said to be badly dented) has been moved to the nearby police station, because the driver is said to be claiming damages from the fulani herdsmen. I actually stopped thinking that they will sell the cow meats (at cheap price) before they get bad, but since the case is still in police station I had to leave. Thank God for those lives that were delivered from death and RIP to the dead cows. 22 Likes 2 Shares
