Travel / Re: Moving From Lagos To Ibadan. What Areas In Ibadan Are Best To Live And Why? by Tekkyy: 9:32am On Apr 14, 2018
Sin City: Ibadan Wears Profane Look As ‘Runs’ Girls Take Over The City

God forbid. I can’t sell the material for N3,000. The least I will take is N5, 000. If you can have enough money, I am all set to sell. But if you maintain on paying N3, 000, you can go to Oja-Oba(market) and buy from there.”

If you think the above words came from a trader in fabric materials, you are 100 percent wrong. The material that is up for sale here is not the usual fabric made of cotton or linen. It is sex! The traders are female students of a tertiary institution in Ibadan, Oyo State, who have included “runs” to their studies.

Overwhelmed with reports of the escapades and prostitution of the female students in Ibadan, 9news Nigeria investigative journalist moved around some clubs and bars, disguising as a client in need of a sex merchant for the night –– to examine the veracity or otherwise of the reports. His findings revealed that the high rate of these commercial sex workers in Ibadan is alarming.

His first point of call was Platinum bar, a fun spot located directly opposite UBA building, Bodija. While some were already set and were waiting for prospective customers, others were seen changing the clothes they had worn from their hostels into skimpy dresses or applying make-ups at the roadside.

Welcome to Sodom and Gomorrah
While Oyo State is dubbed as ‘The pacesetter State’, Africa’s largest city is not setting a good pace in areas of morality.

A tall, light-skinned and beautiful twenty-three-year-old lady –– whom I later knew as Chinwe –– was eager to land a client for the night, so her eyes darted furtively scanning the newcomers. When asked how much her business fetched every night, she was hesitant at first. “Why you dey ask? You wan do?” she threw back. It was important to encourage her to think that I was a soon-to-be client, so negotiations were opened with a bottle of wine which encouraged her to sit beside me.

For short time — meaning a round of sex with her — she would accept as low as N1000. “But if you wan enjoy yourself well, well, touch and, smoosh body, you go make am N2500.” We haggled and she brought it down to N2000. Spending a night with Chinwe will take nothing less than N3000. “That mean say, you go enjoy till daybreak”, she said patronizingly, blinking her amorous eyes.

It was Tuesday night and ladies were seen in skimpy and provocative clothes; smoking cigarettes and drinking beer with reckless abandon; some twisted their bodies to the music that blared from the big audio system mounted on a stage; while others were seen swinging their hips to entice clients. Op, you had better beg Gazzuzz for that 50k transmission now considering the source of the offer's integrity and the country's current economic climate. That's if you really want the car to keep serving you o

Thanks bro. I will definitely call him up when I raise the cash.

Bro, I am not sure why you have chosen to ignore sound advices here - replace your gearbox!

There is no leather in your gearbox, it's either you misheard your mechanic, or he miscommunicated.

No reverse (usually last to go) and binding or slipping forward and mechanical NOISES. Not looking good for a 40k rebuild. Don't go that route.

The noise means something may have broken inside, and I can bet you have metal pieces in the pan. Depending on how long you may have been testing this vehicle after this failure, these may have found their way into the cooler lines.

You may need to replace the radiator with the gear, to avoid a failure.

SIR, DO NOT REPAIR THAT GEAR IN YOUR BEST INTEREST.

Thanks, bro. I admire the way and manner you have carefully explained the gear issue. Keep it up pls.

I will surely replace it.

Thanks guys, the gear later started working without doing anything on it but I was noticing d car vibrates wen its on gear one and moves sluggishly. I drove d car and got home ystday but dis morning it started again. You'll shift d gear to D,R no way,d car won't move as if its on P or Neutral. I contaced a Toyota transmission specialist in Ladipo,he told me the fibre is weak and needs to be changed.

I have a similar issue on my 2003 Camry. How did u sort out this issue? Did u repair the gear or u got another gearbox?

It is either this poster is the mechanic and clueless about the gear probem or the car doesnt belong to him just soliciting for help on behalf of someone. How can you be offered the option of buying a tokunbo gear that cost around 70-90k for 50k but you chose to play with your car electronics by converting from auto to manual..huh??

I am the owner of the car. It was my mechanic that told me about the leather problem. If gear leather is bad, does it mean the gear box is totally bad and cannot be repaired?

GAZZUZZ:

scan transmission, check harness for cuts by rodents.

My mechanic took the car to a gear expert and he was told that the "leather needs to be changed and would be rebuild"

I do not know what the above means but I want to be sure I am not been taken for a fool as the gear expert is demanding whooping 40k

Is that amount commensurate with the leather change?

Please help

Jobs/Vacancies / Unemployment: Frustration, Disappointment As GNLD Flock Lagos (INVESTIGATION) by Tekkyy: 3:06pm On Mar 09, 2018
The activities of GNLD and other recruitment firms in Lagos are giving harried unemployed youth serious concern, ionigeria investigates. The expanding rate of joblessness in Nigeria has dependably been a noteworthy wellspring of worry for the government and its citizenry, and the need to meet daily desires has rendered a few jobless youths powerless against various indecencies and plans.

Nigeria at present is a country full of unemployed citizens. The Buhari-led administration promised over thousands of job opportunities if voted into power. Unfortunately, nothing of such has been implemented. Rather, what Nigerians get are economic woes, daily job loss, and retrenchment of workers.

As indicated by the National Agency of Measurements, (NBS), Nigeria’s joblessness rate ascended from 12.1 for every penny in the main quarter of 2017 to 13.3 for each penny as toward the finish of the second quarter. Owing to the increase in the number of job seekers, there has been a mammoth increase in networking businesses and firms, ionigeria gathered. One which is more pronounced is the well known GNLD networking firm.

According to research, GNLD is a health maintenance organization established by Mr. Jerry Brassfields. The organization is into wellness and health industry.

Wellness Home

On its website it says:

“We are a global health and Wellness Company committed to helping people take control of their health, not only physically but also financially. With over 55 years of experience, and currently operating in over 50 countries, we offer peace of mind that the success you build with our family is one you can pass down to future generations.

“Our mission is to improve lives by offering the highest quality products and best business opportunity in direct selling. Since 1958, we have been providing health for the whole family, with our whole food NeoLife nutritionals, scientifically formulated Nurturance personal care and environmentally friendly Golden Home Care…”

The Trick

Investigations by ionigeria in Lagos State — which isn’t restricted to the State alone — evince that the prominent health maintenance organization, referred to as Neo-life Diamite (GNLD) is fond of posting temptingly appealing but sham job openings to ensnare unsuspecting youth into trusting that there’s a big job prospect.

The job opportunities are straightforwardly not posted by GNLD, but rather by marketers working for the organization, who target unemployed youth who would stop at nothing to become billionaires overnight. They claim to be in search of graduates to work as business development executives, client relations officers, administrative officers and so on. Hence, the need to advertise these fake jobs on job portals.

In Lagos, each divider, walkways, and even boards are regularly covered with advertisement for job opportunities for financiers, chiefs, directors, bookkeepers, secretaries, cleaners among others. Some, in addition, go as far as printing flyers with engravings — such as “Job opportunities in a multinational company,”— with a phone number and email to send in curriculum vitae. The flyers are handed to passers-by at strategic locations such as bus-stops and overhead bridges. Up next is a text message inviting applicants for an interview at Isolo or any of their branches in Lagos.
