There are two people named Noah in the bible. Noah, who built the ark (Genesis 5:30) and a woman (Joshua 17:3).

A few Pharisees were converted (e.g. Paul and Nicodemus) but there are no reports of Sadducees being converted.

Women are more likely to read the bible than men.

Most Jews do not believe Jesus is the Messiah and are still waiting for a Messiah.

Christians are the most persecuted religious group in the world.

The woman most mentioned in the bible is Sarah. She is mentioned 59 times.

The main source of worry is a lack of faith/trust in God. We must learn to bring all our worries, anxieties and fears to God in prayer; fill our minds with thoughts of God and His word and always remember that this world is not our final home. This is the only way to receive and hold on to true peace from God and grow as Christians.

Peace is listed in Galatians 5:22 as one of the fruit of the Spirit and it is one attribute that we all need today probably more than ever. The word ‘peace’ used in the bible comes from the Greek word “Eirene” also translated as “Shalom” in Hebrew.

Peace refers to a state of harmony, calm, serenity or tranquility; the absence of mental stress, anxiety, war, turmoil or disturbance. However, the “peace” mentioned in the bible goes beyond the absence of stress or disturbance.

The bible tells us about real peace that passes all human understanding (Philippians 4:6-7) and is not dependent on or influenced by our circumstances.

Is real peace possible in our world today? What exactly is the peace of Christ? Why do we need it? How can we receive it? What can lead to the loss of peace in our lives?
