We are in a deep mess in this country. I can only pray that God in his infinite mercies will position somebody that will put his/her foot down and lead the ordinary citizens out of this shocking and drowning level of corruption. shocked shocked cry cry cry cry
Music/Radio / Re: [Official Video] P-square - Chop My Money Remix feat. Akon & May D by temi900(m): 12:34pm On Feb 25, 2012
from sugardiva

yeah initially i thot the lyrics of the song was kinda crappy but the video put a litle perspective to it. Most Naija guys feel they must spend on a girl to impress her but with the way she played Akon, Peter and Paul and MayD i guess guys will be more careful and if you love a girl and you guys are both committed to the relationship pls go ahead and SPEND.

As for those who said the song's content is not okay to air internationally i believe thats the trend these days. You've got to admit that hardly any American rap song makes even 0.000 percent of sense these days and we listen to them here.

Buh sha the way she played the second Psquare twin (i no sabi wether na Peter or Paul) who bought her the diamonds was CLASSIC!!!! I laughed so hard my stomach aches. Mehn she get mind ooo. And to think she left all them swag boys for a nerd! That was priceless. It shows a woman will be with who she wants to be with whether u spend all ur money on her or not.

Bottomline: GREAT VIDEO!!! I LOVED IT! KUDOS TO THE TWINS AND MR. MAYD. Only thing missing from the video for me was that there was no ETIGHI

You couldn't have analysed it in a better way. intelligently said.
TV/Movies / Re: Jim Iyke Beaten Blue Black On Set In Katsina by temi900(m): 9:00am On Jun 18, 2009
Even though Jim Iyke is an ass, he had a right to walk out on that contract. I think he should sue those people. But then again, this is Nigeria where a lot of sh.t happens.

Thanks y'all. U r great!!! grin grin smiley

Travel / Nigerian Graduates In The Diaspora Should Stay Put. by temi900(m): 8:36am On Oct 17, 2008
Greetings to all you great people of Nigeria in the diaspora especially in the UK. I would like to send out an appeal to y'all. Many Nigerians tend to travel to the UK for their undergraduate or postgrad. studies in various british universities. Actually i've got no problems with that. But would you kindly stay put as long as you've got the legal means to do so and look for a job over there instead of coming down to Nigeria and grabbing the few available choice jobs remaining for us Nigerian university and polytechnic graduates. I say this because employers are now showing strong preference for overseas graduates and don't believe in Nigerian graduates anymore. sad cry
This is impacting negatively on us 'cos many graduates are now underemployed or with no hope of getting any job at all. Banks, oil companies and even some government agencies are guilty of this and it's not fair.

Whatever the cause of this new development, it's due to no fault of our own. But a man's gotta survive somehow.
P.S don't take this the wrong way, i mean no disrespect.
Jobs/Vacancies / Uk's National Identity Card Scheme by temi900(m): 8:30am On Oct 14, 2008
I heard something is about to happen in the UK very soon which is the introduction of the national ID card scheme in November and and it is gonna send every illegal immigrant scampering for safety. What i mean is once every citizen or legal resident is assumed to have this card, it will be needed before you can pay for electricity bills, gas bills, phone bills, internet bills, before you can collect money from the bank, before you can apply for several jobs and probably before you can even eat in some restaurants in the UK. From what i could gather, the idea is to frustrate illegal immigrants out of the country and save immigration the headache of pursuing illegals all over the place. I don't know how they are gonna get on top of this one 'cos this card has so much security data and features on it that i don't think oluwole can get around this one.
With all said, i think affected peeps shld start moving out to another european country or better still should come back home to Nigeria where they can have peace of mind and where they'll not die of hunger AND STARVATION or 'll freeze to death in the winter so as to plan how they might re-enter the country legally. Just my cadid opinion. PEACE!

Politics / Port Harcourt Is Boiling! by temi900(m): 10:09pm On Aug 16, 2007
Whatz up fellow nairaland users? What da heck is happening in Port Harcourt? I used to admire the city and was looking forward to the day when i would visit the place. I mean as a kid, my uncles used to tell me it's one of the most beautiful cities in Nigeria. Apart fom the high cost of living, every other thing was perfect. You also had the expatriates who could move aroud freely. But now, every expatriate walking on their streets is worth like at least 10million naira, we now have various cult groups who are fighting each other in the heart of the city, Insecurity, movement of arms and ammunition to God knows where, kidnapping of expatriate workers, children, mothers and whoever is gonna be next. Right now nobody is immune from the momnapping, dadnapping, sonnapping and daughernapping. People are afraid to move out of their houses and go about thier normal business since the crisis escalated and soldiers were sent in to restore order and sanity. The genuine agitations of the people living in the Niger-Delta are being compromised by all these unfortunate incidents. Is there any solution in sight? I NEED ANSWERS!!! Thanks Y'ALL.
Politics / Oprah Winfrey Is Tripping! by temi900(m): 10:40pm On Aug 14, 2007
Hi fellow nairalanders. Correct me if im wrong but i think Oprah winfrey is tripping. What have we (Nigerians) done to deserve the treatment she is giving us? I say this because she has being going around trying to paint Nigeria and her citizens in a bad light by telling anyone who cares to listen that all Nigerians are corrupt irrespective of age, class , profession e.t.c. and urged the U.S. to break all economic ties with Nigeria. I learnt she even sponsored a program on CNN tagged "How to rob a bank" where Nigerians were being potrayed as those behind many of the bank robberies in the United States. Im really pissed off about this because many Nigerians especially the ladies love her and in some cases idolise her. We watch her programs a lot and adore her but is this the way to treat us because of the crimes of only a fraction of Nigerians? I don't think so! Suffice it to say that Nigerians are Hard working people of high integrity; The records are there to show in the medical and educational sectors of the United states economy but instead of her to investigate properly, she is quick to judge the whole country and to sentence us to the gallows. If you take a critical look at the American society, most of the crimes are committed by the hispanics, black americans and even the white americans as evidenced in crime investigation programs by FBI files, The prosecutors, crime watch, Anatomy of crime e.t.c I think Oprah needs to get a wake up call! or What do you think?
