there is also www.19jaradio.com they play, strictly Nigerian music and they have over 6000 tracks plus you can place a request on the site and hear it almost immediately. You can listen on your phones and other devices they have made it so easy that the links to have the players on your mobile devices is also on the site. I hear they are accepting materials that they can air, so if you have materials you can send to them. If you check on shoutcast you will also find others streaming in mp3 format these are all internet radio stations http://www.shoutcast.com/radio/Nigerian a search on google would also bring other not so visible. |

This is neat --- even if a little unfair to the opp. sex. However, it makes sense since by the generality, a guy is usually more available and inclined to wander the earth to and fro. So, Odeda thinks an honest bit of pay is too shameful? Or are you in some sort of competition with his highness? That's an awful lot of beef for a sensible strategy. Anyway, take Capt. Sparrows words to heart: Either you can sail under a pirates command or you can't. No grief. Contract? Do college students abroad sign such heavy-duty, life-time contracts for dish-washing, baby-sitting, etc-etc jobs? Just let the job evolve for a bit. , Abeg! I go fix location wen I log in next! |

Somebody doesn't like the attention Ms Jolie is getting. My guess is she probably didn't bargain on garnering ths much attention either. Could we get like 6 more names of celebs adopting kids and dissect each case from our wise-and-all-knowing keyboards so we know we have a case here against Ms Jolie as it must be getting very lonely for her up there on the defendants stand of State of Nairaland vs Celebrities Adopting Children: Publicity Or Pure Motives case? Can you blame the dame if the likes of Lohan, Hilton and what-not don't just cut it for thouroughly fascinating, good ol' ElizabetTaylor-style Hollywood Gossip? |

those first set of pictures suck! erotic my foot! the "seaside" and "waterfall" pics give off far more by way of erotic-calling than that set. why didn't they go full nude hm? i'm going to have to agree with Mr Seun here. the art of capturing the motions of the human(body) have been around a long time and if that group (photo-artist and his models inclusive) decide they mean to re-capture (and perhaps depict in Nigeria/Afriacan tones) the beauty of the human form and (e)motions then they had better get back to school and learn to do it right. erotic - pah! |

@Zarah Girl, you are a girl, right? You must be one cynical dish! and by dish, i mean you must be an attractive lady (if a lady) who got "worsted". That or you are simply having the time of your life answering this rather curious post. ie. you're on the same side as Busta As per the "rhetorical question" on whether it is wrong or right to date some dude who's eating his cake and having it for the time being and sowing the seeds for generations long worth of pain and disenchantment/disillusionment - well, you have only one life to live and life is so bloody short, feel free cos nothing anyone says here is goig to change your mind unless you really do wish to. Folk tend to underestimate the gravity of the liitle things they do today. We all wonder why the world is such a "bent" place but the simple (actually, not so simple!) act of self-discipline and holding yourself accountable to yourself and to a higher being (for the religious) seems to be such a resistable decision to make. |

i think Manta did a rather fair review on the boy. Dare's good. Deep music lovers will too appreciate "Fuji", and by that i mean peeps who don't think RKelly is the definition of all music can be. Listening to the radio can be a lesson in all sorts of ways to be embarrassed by young naija wanna-be's. "away", ppl do def copy-cat and there's rarely anything orig for a period while everyone is maxing the juice out of, say DarkChild's mix. Unfortunately, in naija, our boys are copying the copy-cats with astonishing poor quality xerox machines. Let me not count how many songs feature "baby-girl afta-part" lines. But now, Dare, his lyrics need tightening sha, but his musical sound is mature and has promise. He is creative. Unfortunately, execution is less than perfect. Which is a surprise, not clear if it is a function of the naija-factor or perhaps his crew was in a hurry to roll the stuff out. gbade. x: Dude, easy. Everyone's entitled to an opinion. 'Sides, Mickplus is on your side! @Scorpio: Unfortunately, i do not have access as yet to his music. I just hope his stuff takes in naija cos we need to raise the standard on music/song and lyrical quality and generate true and unique style, my 5 coins. |

here's a thot: toshmann: the CAN-man's press release was rather interesting, it was almost if not quite a threat. so if the leaders' stances and advocations are coming to this, well, , perhaps an option is to totally secularize the state and place a ban on religion, better yet look for a religion that unifies all faith. ![]() ah yes, and ban on freedom of speech, ban on use of the i'net and watching cable , alas i can see it now, ! perhaps the wars are not so bad, ? ![]() |

gigitte: igbos vs. hausa, north vs. south, methinks a lot of y'all folks here are southerners. get it out of your heads that this is simply a north v south, igbo vs hausa thing. i am a northerner. a christian, and i am living in the north. please take it from me its no piece of cake here either for us. i have stayed/lived/schooled in jos, minna, kafnchan and a few other places and believe me when i tell you that this goes further than north n south. a commendation to the yorubas ability to accomodate multiple religious strains, even to the individual but the northerners are not so. when you are of a different religious strain, you are outcast. i am talking from experience. gigitte: kind of you to point that out. it is unfortunate that if there are any of you out there who are muslim, you don't seem to be making much of a contribution to this to show your stance. there reigns the freedom of speech here after all. there is an abuja-dude who said islam teaches/says nothing about killing. ![]() true event: post jos crisis of novemer01, a group of 400L pharm student in UJ were discussing the event and at a loss as to why mothers and children would be harmed?they actually posed the question to a fellow classmate muslim, married with two children or so. her answer: that no-o, they slit the bellies of the pregnant mothers to determine the sex of the child, at this point please feel free to gasp, WTF? |

do i approve of killing of muslims and/or northerners in the south? no. it is unjustifiable. it feels good, some sort of revenge 'n'all but it is wrong. but do christians and/or southerners have i a right to life? mos' def' yeah. self-presevation is built into the fabric of humanity. this is a kill or be killed real-time event. of course, in the event a christian feels his death is worth the extension of life for a muslim in the hopes of salvation for him, bismillah. seun believes in the notion that all the "killers/murders" on either side of the niger should be brought to book. all good. question: for those who have read Grisham's A Time To Kill, should the retaliatory parties be found innocent or guilty? look at the facts of the case: 1. we're all nigerian, yet by a clause in one holybook the only assurance of paradise is death to the infidel, it is faith-based. and all faiths should be respected n'est pas? 2. the injured parties, totally unconnected with the cause of provocation are having their rights trampled upon and would be forced into a slavery of sorts, their family and relations and loved ones are being harmed. 3. the government is in a power struggle and self-appeasement binge. we have no idea at this point who will win but note that "law derives from power" - take this into consideration as you pick the final jury. |

another great HTML tutorial can be gotten here: http://pagetutor.com/pagetutor/makapage/lesson01.html i am based in a rural community currently and we had a few "webdesign-tutors" come by who were trying to teach web-design using the WYSIWWIG, which truly left a lot of the kids here lost. i am a firm believer in learning hard-coding, cos if you don't get the nuts and bolts down first, trying to figure out how to get other "cool effects" or customised behaviours to your page will be impossible. over here we are also believers in FOSS qleyo: even if linux is not as apealing as windows i also think it (the PageTutor site) walks in line with Jacob Nielsen's "usability" rules to a great extent. Mr. Nielsen is like this hotshot web-design consultant. this maybe jumping the gun but http://www.useit.com , his site, is a site to look up when planning/organising your content-layout. oh and the OOL site works too. |
