Politics / Lets Plead With PMB To #bringbackoureconomy by TEZT: 11:48am On Sep 16, 2016
I was actually one of the advocate for change during the last general election but note I was not involved in any form of partisan politics. I was still a youth corp member then and hoping that this #change will bring about good living standard for the average Nigerians so that I can witness a new country after my service year but to my utmost surprise, its going the other way round. We all know the prices of commodities now in the market. I'm still yet to come with the term that even my favourite noodle that I use to get for N2000 is now N2700 per carton. If this government can't at least improve our lives. Let plead with them to take us back to the standard of living we use to have before they came into power. Please let Pmb #Bringbackoureconomy

Politics / We Are Still Been Enslaved In Nigeria By The Same Group Of People. by TEZT: 8:26pm On Feb 05, 2016
We hear people ask: when will the youths have the opportunity to rule our nation. The answer is simple: as soon as they are ready.
Prof. Soyinka reminded us lately that very young people got the independence for the nation, men in their 20s and 30s.
The soldiers who countered the 1966 coup were in their 20s and 30s. Namely: obasanjo, babangida, abacha, Buhari, danjuma, yaradua, gowon, hassan katsina etc.
These youths had little education, poorly experienced and lacked the requisite exposure to lead a complex nation like ours.
Little wonder we started our life as a nation with a coup 6yrs after independence, a counter coup to follow shortly and the a civil war, then tribal wars, then religious war, now terrorism, economic wars and the wars are looming even harder from several unknown quaters.
Problems created by the same men who have insisted they must and are the only ones to solve them, in the process, the problems don't get solved but rather become hydra headed and eat deeper into the fabrics of our nation like cancer.
The question echos again: when will the youths come to power? The poorly trained youths who seized power in 1966 are yet to relinguish it to the enlightened and well trained youths of today.
Power like it has always been is never given, it is taken!
Taken by a revolution or taken by constructive mothodologies of political manoeuvres, and the good youths must strive to out shine the bad ones in this power play, by coming out of their hiding places and taking their firm stance in national issues. Revolution if bloody is no longer fashionable. We need intellectual and peaceful collaborations
We have moved in a vicious circle of political poverty since independence, With the presidency moving from one of the 1966 coup plotters and counter coup plotters to the other.
Gowon to obasanjo, obasanjo to Buhari, Buhari to babangida, babangida to abacha, abacha to obasanjo, obasanjo to yar aradua, yaradua to Buhari. Jonathan was an accident.
Which nation succeeds this way.
I challenge us the good youths to join politics today, form little groups in our communities and begin to educate people. It is an urgent task to rescue our nation.
Build up an alter of prayer for the deliverance of this nation.
If you are preoccupied with what to eat and drink and you make all the money you need, remember it would cost one ignorant man very little to get a bullet and knock u off.

NYSC / Plight Of Corp Members Serving In Ministry Of Works Headquarters, Abuja. by TEZT: 1:37pm On Sep 16, 2015
We the Ex-corpers and serving corp members are pleading with the Federal ministry of works headquarters, Abuja to pay us our stipends. The ministry haven't fulfill there pledge to settle the agreed compensation of NYSC corps member serving under her which comprises of 2013 batch C, 2014 batch A, 2014 batch B and 2015 batch C NYSC corp members. The excuse they keep telling us is that there is no money whereas every other ministries are paying their corp members. We are of the opinion that someone is actually sitting on this money and don't want to pay us. We want the public to be aware of this. Please we will be grateful if you can assist us about this issue. May God continue to strenghten you as you help us. Thanks.
Politics / What Nelson Mandela Said About Nigeria While He Was Alive by TEZT: 10:44am On Sep 10, 2015
MANDELA TO NIGERIA... “YOU know I am not very happy with Nigeria. I have made that very clear on many occasions. Yes, Nigeria stood by us more than any nation, but you let yourselves down, and Africa and the black race very badly. Your leaders have no respect for their people. They believe that their personal interests are the interests of the people. They take people’s resources and turn it into personal wealth. There is a level of poverty in Nigeria that should be unacceptable. I cannot understand why Nigerians are not more angry than they are. “What do young Nigerians think about your leaders and their country and Africa? Do you teach them history? Do you have lessons on how your past leaders stood by us and gave us large amounts of money? You know I hear from Angolans and Mozambicans and Zimbabweans how your people opened their hearts and their homes to them. I was in prison then, but we know how your leaders punished western companies who supported Apartheid. “What about the corruption and the crimes? Your elections are like wars. Now we hear that you cannot be president in Nigeria unless you are Muslim or Christian. Some people tell me your country may break up. Please don’t let it happen. “Let me tell you what I think you need to do. You should encourage leaders to emerge who will not confuse public office with sources of making personal wealth. Corrupt people do not make good leaders. Then you have to spend a lot of your resources for education. “Educate children of the poor, so that they can get out of poverty. Poverty does not breed confidence. Only confident people can bring changes. Poor, uneducated people can also bring change, but it will be hijacked by the educated and the wealthy...give young Nigerians good education. Teach them the value of hard work and sacrifice, and discourage them from crimes which are destroying your image as a good people.” (Excerpts taken from a 2007 interview with Mandela conducted by Dr Hakeem Baba-Ahmed)

Nairaland / General / Drama In Ilesha As Police, Thugs And Doctors Lock Horns In An Hospital by TEZT: 11:52am On Aug 31, 2015
There was a drama to watch as thugs chase some doctors to beat this morning in OAU teaching hospital complex(wesley guild hospital) in ilesha. From my findings, there was a paraga seller(ogogoro and other stuff seller) that died in the hospital during the night and the hospital management ask the people to pay some certain amount for the release of the corpse but to people's amazement, within the bling of an eye, close to 40 okada storm the hospital to forcefully take their corpse away and when some doctors resisted, it nearly turned funny as the people tried to beat up some of the doctors and the doctors ran like they are on track for 100meter race and withing few minutes, police men also came and the thugs faced them and ask the men in black to start shooting. The police had to even ask the hospital to release the corpse to them which was done before a count to ten. Sorry that i couldn't take pictures because i was scared of been caught by the police and the thugs.

Career / Ranks In The Army by TEZT: 7:01pm On Apr 19, 2015
I have seriously been thinking of this for a very long time. What is the reason why Female soldiers don't attain the rank of Generals in the army? Is there a rule in the military that deter them from attaining such height?
Politics / Heartbreak For The Pdpians by TEZT: 3:25pm On Jan 13, 2015
Chai! Yet another heartbreaking news on the part of the PDPians. OBJ sneaked out of his house when he heard Jonathan would be visiting, but gladly stayed to welcome Buhari.

Now, is it not audible to the deaf, visible to the blind and vocal to the dumb that Jonathan's ship is fast sinking? Jonathan is on his own. He's just like Jezebel now!

Who doesn't want to associate with the winning team?

Business / What Is Marketing? by TEZT: 11:49am On Dec 31, 2014
What is MARKETING ?

This is how a Professor explained Marketing Concepts to a class:

1. You see a Gorgeous Girl at a party. You go up to her and say: "I am very rich. Marry me!"
- That's Direct Marketing.

2. You are at a party with a bunch of friends and see a Gorgeous Girl. One of your friends goes up to her and pointing at you says: "He's very rich. Marry him!"
- That's Advertising.

3. You are at a party and see a Gorgeous Girl. She walks up to you and says: "You are very rich! Can I marry you?"
- That's Brand Recognition.

4. You see a Gorgeous Girl at a party. You go up to her and say: "I am very rich. Marry me!" She gives you a nice hard slap on your face.
- That's Customer Feedback.

5. You see a Gorgeous Girl at a party. You go upto her and say: "I am very rich. Marry me!" And she introduces you to her husband.
- That's Demand and Supply Gap.

6. You see a Gorgeous Girl at a party. You go upto her and before you say: "I m rich, Marry me!", your wife arrives.
- That's Restriction for Entering New Markets.

Hope the Concepts are clear..
NYSC / The Plight Of NYSC Members In Abuja by TEZT: 5:24am On Dec 27, 2014
I am a corp member serving in one of the ministry of works in Abuja. The suffering that is been experienced by corp members is something that needs an urgent attention. It starts after the camp when you will be posted to a ministry or a government parastatals and you will be rejected while corp members that are been posted to other places that they find not favourable to them collect rejection letter and had to come to the ministry that has been rejecting corp members only to be accepted all because he/she knows the perm sec or one of the directors and the rejected corp member will now have to be searching everywhere to get a place to serve which take more that 2 to 3 months after camp sometimes as if you one is looking for a job. The most annoying part of it is that Ministries or organisations that are paying corpers very well will never accept corpers on neutral ground or else you already have an in house person to "runz" it for you.
To really survive most times, some of the female corp members had to sleep around with senior staff to get some cash to keep themselves up and the male also cleaning the staff "shoes" to get peanuts to survive and some even go as far as following the female corpers around to buy them lunch which might be their last meal for the day.

As for me in the ministry where i'm serving as a batch B corp member, we have not been giving a dime from the ministry since inception of service with them and it was even so worse for them that they can't give us anything for christmas package and the N19800 from NYSC will not come until 9-11th of the next month.

Even my friends that are been posted to other states are actually having a nice time where they are and the funniest part of it is that when friend learnt that you are been posted to the FCT, they will be hailing you that you "don hammer".

My questions now are:-

1. While will a federal government agency will be rejecting an NYSC corp member which also is a Federal government project?

2. Must we know someone in one of the ministries to be able to serve our father's land now?

3. How do they want us to survive without any form of inducement to corp members from some of these ministries?
