which university in Nigeria accept NOUN M.sc degree for P.hd? I have an M.sc from NOUN,but two university have turned it down for P.hd admission. please who is doing his P.hd that graduated from NOUN?

I doubt , is acceptable in every university unless your cgpa is not up to 3.5 and above depend on the university. Am currently using noun msc for my phd.

Good day y'all Please I have 3 questions to ask
1) please is nysc certificate a compulsory requirement for noun msc as I only have bsc certificate for now
2) how much is school fees for msc noun
3) please whats the major difference between msc and MBA business administration

1. Nysc is not compulsory
2. The school tution fee varies
3 msc can be use to futher your study to phd while mba u will do mphil .mba is mainly for administrative purposes while msc is academics. Companies prefer mba

Yes, they have all appeared but the secretary at the faculty had advise that I will have to register at least one elective course this semester to complete the required 34 units for graduation

Ok for you to be at better chance you can do that but dont register only one course . Register at least three so that there will be no loop hole at al

People does NOUN waive elective course?

Or is it possible to be listed among the grandaunts having passed 33units (All core courses inclusive) instead of the 34 required for MSc IT?

Yes if your project and compulsory courses result have
Appears in ur portal then u are good to go.

Take that at your own peril. Uploading is compulsory weather UG or PG. It is a criteria before your project can be submitted for moderation by your study Centre.

My friend am telling u from experience the upload is for ug. I submitted soft binding copy for my friend last time now they have invited him for defense on 22 of this month at uyo center there they will score him .The coordinator told me that the online upload is compulsory for ug students. Meanwhile the upload is for them to have project works in their project databank incase they want to publish an article.

You were supposed to take the soft copy of your project to your study Centre for upload. This has closed for the current batch. I hope you did so otherwise, no going for defense.

Uploading softcopy is not applicable to PG student . U will graduate immediately u project result comes in after moderation/defense. They will paste the list of graduating student in ur centre or in sch portal

I wish your response was true, but that's not the case at NOUN. Every grade determines ones CGPA. Why do you think many post graduate students can't graduate?? They have passed all their courses but can't graduate because Fs have reduced their CGP below 3.0.
What makes this so painful is that I didn't even fail these courses. They were NE last semester but this semester they've graded them as F. Can you imagine that? After I already struggled to have many As to avoid CGP issues

What i mean is that when u pass those courses it wil be fix back to u instead of dividing it unlike in undergraduate course where F affects cgpa

This is my experience below and that of several of my colleagues that we started together. The problem is people don't speak up, but I'm speaking now because I wish someone else spoke up before now, maybe I would have seen their experience and made a wise decision. Or at least I would have been able to say I was warned.
Bros continue just re register, the 3.0 policy is good so that u can get admission for msc in future. Meanwhile bear in mind that carryover did not have an effect on ur cgpa in any thing postgraduates courses. Cheers

The course is PGD Education

Is not true when u finish ur course work and ur project result is out u are automatically good to go.

Thank you, i appreciate.

Please whoever told u that computer sc is all about coding is totally wrong. computer science is very very wide and lucrative. Info tech is a subset of computer sc. That deal mainly on applied computing . So the two is nice but computers is broader. Use ur mind set

I'm not happy with NOUN at all. I'm very disappointed with quality of the certificate they gave us,
Please just imagine a certificate without student identify number. HABA!!! It means any body with the same name can claim that certificate. There is no where in the academic world that they will issue you a certificate without your matric/registration/identity number.

I'm really disappointed. If any body want to trace that certificate, it won't be easy

Brother stop saying what u dont know most university certificate dont bear reg no. My first degree from unizik did not bear it. Meanwhile verification is easier your cert have its number at the back. And school have their record as well. Rather what am suggesting is they should put the cert number im front instead of back for easy accessing.

Good morning. Please I need clarification, I am seeing my thesis course on registered exams, and it carries TMA. Although when I clicked on it, it said TMA not ready for the Research project.

My question is, am I going to do TMA for thesis work?

No u dont need to do TMA . Meanwhile u are not suppose to register it as an exam to start with. you only give them free money.
