The sad incident happened at Elelenwo Community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Nigeria.

Last week, the news of Chicken Republic guards, who were dancing on duty, went viral on the internet; OPM (Omega Power Ministries) also reacted.

Many people reacted to their action in a positive way (in support), while others criticized them for such action.

Subsequently, the news of their sack was spread online; but Chicken Republic later debunked the allegation.

On hearing the news of the sack of the security guards, the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, frowned at the development.

Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere specifically pointed out that the boys (the security guards) are too young for such a job.

The Apostle promised to take over the case of the boys, by sending them abroad.

When the OPM G,O made such a comment, many people criticized him for supporting the bad attitude of the boys (dancing on duty).

It seemed people misconstrued him, as the OPM G,O later put up a post on his social media page, to clarify the public.

Vincent Chukwu, the lawyer for Gracious David West, the serial killer, who was found guilty, and as well, sentenced to death by hanging by a Federal High Court in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, for the murder of females in hotels, has reacted to reports that his client has yet to appeal the ruling one year after his conviction.

A lawyer with the state Ministry of Justice noted a few days ago that the defense team had failed to challenge the verdict one year later.

Mr Chukwu, on the other hand, said in a statement yesterday that an appeal had been filed and that he had followed the proper procedures in the case.

He said that the appeal was filed within the 90-day deadline specified by law in December of last year, with all expenses paid in full, after which he went to the appeal office and was invited to settle the records.

He claimed that the appeal was delayed not by them, but by some administrative hiccups in the document processing.

“Flubot is circulated through Short Message Service (SMS) and can snoop on incoming notifications, initiate calls, read or write SMS, and transmit the victim’s contact list to its control centre”.

“The malware attacks Android devices by pretending to be ‘FedEx’, DHL, Coreeos, and Chrome applications, and compels unsuspecting users to alter the accessibility configuration on their devices in order to maintain continuous presence on devices.

Mrs Onoh, the mother of Joy, who lost her husband some years ago, and was left with three children, said "Joy told me that she received a call from a male customer, who ordered for some clothes, and asked her to bring them to his address at North Bank area of Makurdi".




"She left the house at about 4:50 in the evening, and did not return again. I made all efforts to call her phone, but someone busied it. Her sister Cynthia, also called; at this time, they picked the call, but she (Joy) was crying".



Also confirming the incident, Joy's brother, Kidee, said on his social media handle "My sister, Joy, was raped,, murdered, and her body dumped at a roadside at North Bank, along Federal Housing in Makurdi".


"She sells clothes and foot wears, which she normally posts online and gets orders from customers. She only supplies around Makurdi, the State capital".


"On Tuesday, the 19th of October, 2021, she got a customer at North Bank, who ordered for two turtle neck clothes, which she went to deliver, and never returned".


"We were all worried, and were searching for her, only to hear the news of her death, and her dead body seen along Federal Housing".


Kidee who still can't believe his sister is gone, also posted a hashtag #JusticeForJoy'.



The Police Public Relations Officer of the State, DSP Catherine Anene, while being interviewed, said "A case of a missing person was reported to us, and a search was conducted".


"Joy's dead body was discovered on Wednesday, 20th October, at about 7 am, in a bush at Federal Low Cost".

For three days, the new kidney was attached to her blood vessels. It was kept outside her body so researchers could have access to it.



The new kidney did all the work the human kidney does, that is, filter waste and produce urine.



For many years, scientists have dreamt of xenotransplantation, in which organs from animals could be put into humans without rejection; and this latest development has shown how far science has come in this process.





According to Dr. Robert Montgomery, the test results of the transplanted kidney looked pretty normal.



Dr. Robert said “The kidney made the amount of urine that you would expect from a transplanted human kidney, and there was no evidence of the vigorous, early rejection seen when unmodified pig kidneys are transplanted into a non-human being”.



Dr. Robert also said “The recipient’s abnormal creatinine – an indicator of poor kidney- returned to normal after the transplant”.



According to United Network for Organ Sharing, close to 107,000 people in the United States are waiting for organ transplant; out of which, over 90,000 are for kidney transplant.



Dr. Robert’s team discovered that knocking out the pig gene for a carbohydrate that triggers rejection – a sugar molecule, or glycan, called alpha gal, would prevent the problem.



The pig, whose gene was changed as a result of the experiment, was developed by United Therapeutics Corp’s Revivicor unit, and was approved by the United State Food and Drug Administration in December 2020, to be used as food for people with a meat allergy and as a potential source of human therapeutics.



According to the agency, medical products that are developed from the pigs, would not be used on any human being without the approval of the Food and Drug Administration.



Dr. Robert continued “The current experiment involved a single transplant, and the kidney was left in place for only three days; so any future trials are likely to uncover new barriers that will need to be overcome. Participants would probably be patients with low odds of receiving a human kidney and a poor prognosis on dialysis”.

The man known as Amos Kunde, impregnated Juliana, his twin sister; not just ones, but twice, which gave birth to their two children.

It was learnt that Amos Kunde, after impregnating his twin sister twice, decided to get married to another lady, but Juliana has refused, insisting two of them must live together as husband and wife since they have been together for some time, and already have two kids.

According to reports, the two siblings, who are mainly farmers, have been living together in Awe Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. During the crisis between farmers and herders in their community, they were able to survive the attacks by armed herdsmen, but later relocated to a community known as Doku in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, due to the unsafe nature of Awe.

Due to their caring attitude to one another, they started a relationship sometime in 2015, which later resulted in Juliana’s first pregnancy.

They went into farming as their source of livelihood, and the profession is yielding abundant of harvest, which they use in catering for themselves as a family.

Some people in the community described the development as embarrassing and shameful, for a man to impregnate his twin sister, and the sister also insisting that the man must take her as his legitimate wife.

After it was discovered that Juliana was pregnant, they decided to abort it, but to no avail.
After 9 months, Juliana gave birth to their first child, a baby girl; but the villagers were amazed, how a twin brother and sister could be in such a relationship, to the extent of producing a child..

As the farmers and herders crisis escalated to Doma, Amos and Juliana relocated to a village known as Tse Ugba Village in Keana Local Government Area, where they continued their farming business; though the people of Tse Ugba village, not knowing their history, thought they were legitimate husband and wife. In August, Juliana gave birth to their second child, who happened to be a boy.

Sometime last week, Amos decided to legitimately marry a wife, but Juliana said NO to his decision; citing what her fate would be, if she and the two kids are abandoned by her brother, Amos.

Based on what Amos was planning to do , Juliana decided to be more attached to him; as she doesn’t want to be dumped by her twin brother.

When Juliana was interviewed, she narrated how they got into the sexual relationship.

According to the police, they noticed Wanjala's disappearance during a morning roll call.


Three police officers who were on duty when Wanjala disappeared, were also arrested and detained.



The Kenyan Police had launched a massive manhunt for Masten Wanjala, who confessed to killing children numbering about 14, after drugging them; he also admitted of drinking their blood.


The 20 year old Wanjala, according to reports, was traced by villagers to a house in Bungoma town where he was hiding, after escaping from the Police custody.



It was reported that Wanjala returned to his parents home, who had already disowned him because of his evil deeds.


Those who discovered that Wanjala was in the house, called on the other neighbors, who trooped in, and beat him mercilessly till he died.


Bungoma's Police Commander said, "Masten Wanjala was trying to stave off suspicious locals by moving to a nearby house".



Mrs. Grace Adhiambo, a mother to four of the children killed by Wanjala, told the media, as partly written:


"I would have loved to see him in court, so I can know why he did all these; brutally killing our four children and left us with pain", as tears were rolling down her cheek.


She continued, "As you can see, the decomposing body of the teenage boy, is my son; he was one of the four victims recovered by the police in Nairobi and its environs".


According to an autopsy done by the government pathologist, they discovered that the victims were strangled and hit on the head with a heavy object.


The killing of Wanjala by the angry villagers, has been seen as a 'good development' by some social media users and Kenyans.




Similarly, some Kenyans who commented on this latest development, said it's a good one, because the case would have been swept under the carpet; noting that Masten Wanjala was arrested 3 months ago, but was yet to be charged to court.

On Thursday in Port Harcourt, the capital city of Rivers State, many people were left with a shocking experience, as a billboard in the Garden City, was spotted displaying a porn video.
The video which has generated a lot of talks and condemnations from the public, was displayed on a LED billboard, situated at Garrison in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State, around 8 in the morning.

The billboard was quickly put off after those that amazingly saw the video, lodged complaints over such being displayed on the screen before the general public.

Some of the bystanders, who were left with a great shock, said it might be a mistake from the operator, because no right-thinking person would display such video in the public domain.

While some insisted the operator consciously put it up in order to attract people; because immediately the video ended, a write up displayed saying “ADVERTISE HERE”.

In one of the said videos uploaded online, a man recording the content was heard laughing out loud in great shock, saying “there is nothing we won’t see in this world”.

For gaining unlawful access to an electronic billboard and displaying such video on it, the Rivers State Police Command, went after the operator, and he was arrested.

The owners of the billboard, has also vowed that the culprit will face prosecution.
