Last July, there was a newspaper publication about PTAD paying 12 months arrears of the 33% increase to parastatals. We therefore thought that Nitel,Mtel would be covered only to have the July MP unpaid. We do not know yet whether we shall be paid the part-arrears or not.
Our current MP includes the 33% increase with effect from last October.
This is where the so called representatives should come in and clearify. I'm not too sure they have been doing much to help in that aspect. The truth is it is only them that can really have first hand info on the modalities that was used by Ptad in computing all these monies. Ptad is not transperent enough in telling us how the computation was done. Its unfortunate that its now that we are beginning to see all these things. @Brosiye said a Ptad staff told him that nitel/mtel stafff are not entitled to the 33% increase. He said it has already been computed in the pensions payment that took effect in October, last year. I still insist that those representatives should come forth with more details on what they negotiated with Ptad.

His options were limited to be honest. Most big clubs tend to go for GKs who are good with the ball on their feet.

And his form has been on steady decline since 2years ago
De Gea is as good as he is with his feet as he is with his hands. That was why Mourinho wanted him at Madrid by all means then.

But i recollected that 33% was one of the benchmarks used to calculate our current monthly pensions Wef last October ? If we were not qualified, why were we considered. Again, 12 months of the outstanding arrears of the 33% increase was said to've been paid to all parastatals except Nitel, Mtel last July ?
your explanation/question not too clear sir. Please can you resend it?

A PTAD staff informed that Nitel/Mtel is not eligible for the 33% pension increment arrears as it is for the pure civil service pensioners. Also, all variations had already been captured in computing our pension that we receive now.

So what we should be asking is our arrears for the past years
But has anyone received the August pension, pls confirm. Plus @brosiye, any update on the arrears payment? Any hope at the end of the tunnel? We expect that since Minister Zainab don come back, she suppose done do something. Now they are already talking about 2020 budget. I was able to see another N500 billion plus for next years pensions, yet, this years arrears for us is not yet paid!

do you know what 11000MW of power means!? That's quite a huge improvement in power. All we have to do now is to make sure the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) is able to convey all of it to the national grid; if not, it is work done equal to zero!

True, I didn't take note of the comma after 'pension liabilities'. 60 billion is not bad sha, it will go a long way!

Obvious they fall under arrears of pension liabilities and 33% increase.
that means only arrears of 2017/2018 will be paid! Cos that's what is stated there. And that will not only cover Nitel/mtel pensioners, but other MDA's as well

I was able to get this. It is captured in the 2019 budget. I don't know what category Nitel/Mtel pensioners fall o.

Is CBN that is delaying the pension for May..The arrears should be clear very soon
. Please sir, what is your source because this arrears thing is what everybody is anticipating. All these monthly peanuts is not really encouraging, especially for those that are highly indebted, after years of neglect. As a matter if fact, I have noticed that we have all relaxed in clamouring and gingering for the arrears to be paid. @brosiye, @segzy, and all my other guys in the house. Please lets wakeup o. Minister Zainab came and we thought that was the real deal, due to the fact that she is one of us, and she came and did her own village thing and left, giving priority more to the ex airways staff. @ptad has since last year keep saying it will be done as funds are released. I don't know for how many years or decades we will keep on hearing that story. We were told that Nitel/Mtel arrears was tied to the 2018 budget. We are now in the 2019 budget yet, nothing has been heard! Biko, ejoor, don Allah, please, let us revive our aluta spirit o. Hoping to hear from the house soon. One love everybody.

Come ooo, I thought @ptad had said the payments of pension arrears was tired to the 20180 budget? If my memory hasn't failed me, the budget was passed around May, 2018. It will effectively elapse in May 2019. If the FG is really serious about payments, at least by now we would have started hearing concrete information as to when these monies will be released. I still will want to appeal to the Halita group to triple their hustle, and prevail on the FG to release these funds, rather than going on national television, through ptad and the information ministry praising Mr Buhari for enrolling ex nitel/mtel staff on monthly pensions. Pensions are peanuts for now, and until and when these areas are paid, it still remains a drop in the ocean. Hajiya Zainab should also do more, because she was able to put smiles on the faces of the Nigerian airways guys just few weeks after she assumed office as finance minister. I bet you, 80 percent of us might not even talk about 20 years buyout again if we can collect the 7 years pension areas (Oct 2011-oct 2018). 84 months areas will go a long way in putting pensioners "back to life". As far as I am concerned, we where truly supposed to be paid the 20 years, but putting us on pensions is not too bad, only that we must be paid all areas. Please we all should channel our efforts in seeing that the FG releases these funds as soon as possible. I read today that the excess crude account depleted by about 78 percent in 3 weeks! Same thing happened before the 2015 general elections. The money is there, but they are channelling it towards winning elections next year

I'M NOT A NEXT OF KIN, NEITHER AM I A PENSIONER. ALL THIS STRUGGLE IS FOR MY DAD. THE OLD MAN HAS REALLY SUFFERED ALL THESE YEARS. WHEN HE GOT HIS ALERT YESTDAY, HE CALLED AND WAS EXPRESSING HIS DISAPPOINTMENT AT THE FIGURE HE SAW. WE HAD TO EXPLAIN TO HIM THAT THE FIGURE WAS ONLY FOR THE BEGINNING OF HIS PENSIONS AND THAT FROM CALCULATIONS, HE HAS ABOUT 80 MONTHS PENSION ARREARS TO COLLECT, PENDING WHEN THE FG RELEASES THE MONEY.
THIS IS A GOOD ONE SHA COS HIS PENSION IS ABOUT N160K. CONGRATS TO ALL IN THE HOUSE (ESPECIALLY THE PENSIONERS). AS FOR THE NEXT OF KINS, BE A LITTIE PATIENT AS PTAD HAS SAID YOURS WILL FOLLOW SHORTLY. THANKS TO ALL ONCE AGAIN, MAY GOD BLESS US ALL. AND REMEMBER TO INVEST WISELY, ESPECIALLY WITH YOUR AREARS.
