Yes I submitted January 4th, I got my visa 11th of March. Currently in Jo’burg,SA arrived here a week ago.

Because of the time you booked in December, did you have to update your hotel booking or you just didn’t touch it from the time you applied to the time you got a response?
I booked a hotel too January 4 when I applied, booking was for 2 weeks but since then I haven’t updated the booking and I’m very sure it has expired.

Does anyone has idea about appeal process. My visa denied due to accommodation not booked. Even though it was a full scholarship and they had it booked. Any help? Seems no more walk in Abuja. Is it vfs or the high commission I should proceed. Many thanks

Oh wow so sorry about this. I think you can book an appointment on vfs. Was it stamped on you passport denied or they sent a mail. I have a similar issue with accommodation in my application but I’m yet to receive word on it. I hope to not prepare for the worst.

It’s been 10 weeks since I applied and school has resumed since 3 weeks, I’m on the verge of loosing my accommodation already paid for in full for the year.

Hello @LOquence , if you wrote Veronica loving, did you get any response. And part of the documents you submitted was it proof of accommodation or hotel booking. If hotel, how long was the booking for please?

Hi Guys, I applied for a study permit on December 1st, Yesterday I got a message that my visa application has been processed and is ready for collection. This morning, my passport was delivered with my study permit in it....Thank you very much guys, I could only have done it with the information on this page...Merci

Congratulations Krumking. What university would you be attending. Was your application submitted at vfs Lagos? And what were the steps you took while you were waiting for a response please? Any emails etc

Submitted my application on January 27th for study visa, Abuja centre. Received text and email today that my passport is with the courier and ready for dispatch. Approximately 4weeks. Although, I don't know the outcome at the moment but it's a full scholarship at wits. Best wishes everyone.

Ahh God, mine is 9 weeks today already and no response, study visa for wits as well. Already panicking.

. Contact the embassy. However, study visa applications take 4weeks to 8 weeks or more. More importantly , be in contact with your university.

Hello everyone. I want to know if there are other people facing this challenge.
I applied for an SA study Visa on 4th of January, submitted my application in VFS lekki and since then I have not received a text message or email regarding the status of my visa. My school is resuming this February and my passport has been with the SA high commission for over a month. What would I need to do know to expedite this process?

Hello, did you apply for a study Visa also? I submitted since the 4th of January and I have not even received a text or email concerning the status of the visa. My school is to resume by the end of February and I have been unable to carry on with my registration activities.
