I did experience this too, it was up on my portal for almost a week and later changed to "your Passport is ready for pickup".

You need to exercise a little more patience. From your post, I can see that we both submitted on the same day and our decisions were made same day too. I just got a pick up mail yesterday. My mum submitted a week after I did and got a pickup mail before me.

Hi everyone! My mom just picked up her passport yesterday only to find no visa and no slip. We're all confused as to what happened. She qualifies for IW and her appointment was on March 9th. She says she wasn't asked any questions, just dropped off her documents. I checked online now only to see it was refused. She has never overstayed on any of her visas, never used healthcare/needed medical attention and has been travelling since 2013. Her DS-160 was completed February this year and payment made the same month.

You will have to renew (Dropbox) in the UK as your previous visa was issued there, or book a regular appointment if you decide to renew in Nigeria.

You need to check your appointment confirmation.
Does it state B1/B2 category? You need to go through your DS 160 application very well. There is provision for category B visa only. I think the error occurred while you were booking an appointment.

I would advise you take another photograph as the one you submitted was rejected. Ensure your two ears are very visible, eyes open and pack your hair if you are a lady.

So update

submitted IW application on the 25th of Feb....saw a refusal decision on the 2nd of March....did not get any email from the embassy but noticed that my profile on the US appointment site was showing documents ready for collection so I went to DHL and the document was available

What I am a bit confused for is that I was not asked to schedule a new appointment but was asked to resubmit a new passport photograph at dhl and also my passport.

Congratulations in advance. Without a legible passport photograph with approved specifications, a visa cannot be issued. What this means is that they need your passport photograph so as to affix same on your visa. This has happened to me before now. I hope this helps.

The IW was created for us to help each other out but sadly, we now have a bunch of overzealous newly appointed admins who believe he/she can remove people out of the group without any prior notification. By so doing, you are tolling with people's chances of getting a date which is completely unfair. The group was much better and organised before now. It's sad to see that it was those who craved to be a part of the group that are now trying to play mini gods.
So sorry you were removed without prior notification, we will all get a date hopefully. This is a very sensitive time for everyone. I hope you get back in. If they are worried about agents getting in, a background check would be appropriate before boothing anyone out of the group.

So sorry about your refusal, hang in there, you will be fine. Please ensure you pay annual returns. Once you are in default, your company status will read inactive on the cac company registration portal. You will have to pay annual returns and default fees for each year since registration of the business name. Kindly note that for the 1st 18th of registration of business, you don't need to pay annual returns. Contact a cac accredited agent (usually a lawyer or chattered accountant) to help with the process.
