Education / Re: Can You Send Your Child To A Public School? by tochi(f): 6:25pm On Jun 25, 2007
Ok I meant to say I went to my little PUBLIC school, sorry about that!
Education / Re: Can You Send Your Child To A Public School? by tochi(f): 6:24pm On Jun 25, 2007
Of course I can send my child to a public school!!! Private schools is more a thing of social class than it is of better education! I went to a public secondary school due to financial reasons but it was one of the best experiences ever!!! If your child is bad, no matter where you put them, their bad characteristics will shine, especially when you put them in private schools where they are over pampered and given a pat on their back by teachers just because its their school fees that feeds that teacher's family!!!!

In my friends private secondary school, flogging is not allowed!!! I think thats stupid! Yes, your parents should discipline you at home but I also believe that discipline should NOT end at home!! I went to my  little private school, ALWAYS came in first, ran for my house during interhouse sports, swept class after school and every other thing you can think of!!! Yes, it had its own bad aspects like lack of fans and seats but at the end of the day, I got what i went to school to get, AN EDUCATION!!

As for big baby who says "taouts" are raised in public schools, if this is the case, I am one hell of a "taout "then, with my associates, bachelors and almost Masters under my belt!!!!
Romance / Re: Is It Advisable To Keep Your Ex-lover As Friend? by tochi(f): 6:49pm On Nov 10, 2006
Absolutely not! Because your ex once had a spot in your heart, you will always be vulnerable around them whether you believe it or not. Besides your ex should not have a place in your present relationship at all!

Romance / Re: Nigerian Girls Are Not Romantic: Why? by tochi(f): 7:18am On Nov 08, 2006
@ Whitelexi who wanted to see a romantic nigerian girl, here I am! I am not trying to be arrogant but I am one of the biggest romantics(not just Nigerian but in general)! I believe both mine and his romanticness (pardon my grammer) is the reason why I have such a great relationship, I believe it is all about reciprocity! Its not the end result of what I do or what he does that matters, its the thot! He made me a really big birthday card for my birthday and even though the end product was tacky, it is the best gift i ever got because he spent endless hours making it! That to me is romantic! I spend time thinking about what i can do to make his day; i even send flowers to him at the office, i make him pancakes in the middle of the night when he is hungry, i buy him spiderman boxers cos he loves the movie and all sorts of little things like that is what makes me romantic. He appreciates me for all that I am and puts in the effort to make sure I am happy and well taken care of (and yes, sometimes it seldom involves finances) but that doesnt make me less of a romantic or less of a woman. It makes me Chukwuemeka's pride and joy!

@ Choongtin what do you mean "you havn't slept with all the girls so how do you know they are all not romantic"? What does sex have to do with being romantic?

TV/Movies / Re: Life Partner: The Best Nigerian Movie Ever by tochi(f): 2:33pm On May 26, 2006
@ messiah, you will be very very alrite! grin You know its funny because i used to be like you 4yrs ago, talking bout i wont watch any more Nigerian movies anymore, blah blah blah! I have grown so much since then and learn to accept and respect Nigerian movies for what they~! If you compare them to American movies, you're sure to be dissappointed because that is not what they are or what they are trying to be! Admittedly, some of them can have some wack storyline at times but that is no reason to totally cut them out of your life! Anyways, do as you please because it is not my place to tell you what and what not to watch!
Cheers!
Food / Re: Names Of Popular Fast Food Restaurants In Nigeria by tochi(f): 3:37am On May 26, 2006
Sorry vichel for the confusion, it was directed at dear nutter~! Ok i understand that Austria and India might not have been the best comparison, however, after you get over your sleepness nights over my bad comparison, duely note that the point which i used that comparison to make still stands. The fact that there is cheap labor in the area does not mean that prices of goods and services produced using this cheap labor will be cheaper~! It is great, to the mostly selfish producers that they can pay whatever the heck they care to these people and still make a huge profit from it all they care about! Ever heard of "sweatshops"
@ old glory, thanks for clearing that up~! I dont know where nutter is getting his information! mC.Donalds is so much bigger than BK! Air time or no air time, share or no share, they are doing better and have waaaaaaaay more chains here in the US than BK! Quality or no quality, Mc.Donalds is nationally loved! It has been accepted that fast food is generally bad for your health and so people dont go out looking for quality and custom made french fries as my dear friend nutter is suggesting! So i dont really buy your point about about "customer traffic drive in BK" due to their "exemplary french fries"~!

@babwilms, i agree with you~! Life partner was a good movie but no match for All my life or even blood sisters! It was the first time i actually heard of lilian bach(life partner of course) and she was a tad bit too cool for me sometimes~!
Food / Re: Names Of Popular Fast Food Restaurants In Nigeria by tochi(f): 7:14pm On May 25, 2006
@vichel, i am just using Burger King's greatest competion, Mc.Donalds as an example! And since someone was talking about Burger King being cheap in foreign countries or something like that, i used Austria as an example~! Cappish? cool
Romance / Re: I Am Scared Of Girls by tochi(f): 4:21pm On May 25, 2006
Y'all just crack me up!
First of all, @ nosakhare, chirikwa waka~! Who is only good for sex? You know, i am sure most pple will agree with me that its because you just
reached puberty that all you think girls are good for is sex~! It makes no sense trying to explain all that we are good for to the likes of you. I dont know
what kind of girls you have been hanging around but i suggest you change environment or circle of friends to help your sanity!
Strong, independent women like myself choose not to let SEX define our relationships. If thats the reason you are together, you can never have anything
more. It was your foundation and so it is your perogative! I believe sex has always been your foundation so how can you sit there and say we have
nothing else to offer when thats all you ever had? Meeeen you go take time o stop to dey insult us b4 we start to dey spit fire for here~!

Romance / Re: Girls! Would You Collect A Gift From A Man You Dont Want? by tochi(f): 3:27am On May 25, 2006
I thot i was enjoying myself collecting gifts from this one guy but trust me theres no such thing as "just gifts". Nothing na for free for this life, i forget what its called but if a guy gives you something with supposedly no strings attached, his subconscious still expects your ass to repay him~!

Business / Re: ATM in Nigeria by tochi(f): 3:13am On May 25, 2006
This might be a dumb question So if there are atms springing everywhere does that mean that there are now bank cards and stuff in Nigeria now?
Health / Re: Menstruation Is Fast Becoming Optional [ladies] by tochi(f): 3:09am On May 25, 2006
Ok, most people are sitting there trying to judge people that take the pill as trying to change the course of nature or hand of God or whatever reasons have been listed. While i agree on very few of the raised issues with stopping your period, dont forget that everyone is different. Take for instance myself, everymonth when i am on my period, i get admitted for 4 days because of the harsh pain and severe dehydration. This means skipping classes, work, activities and etc. When that time of the month comes, i pack my things and stay ready! If i decide to stop this demon due to the advancement in science (which i am not saying i have done) why shud someone sit there and judge me based on "changing the course of nature" or "God's work". What if i dont even believe in God?
Bottomline: Dont rush judgement because you are not always sure what reasons lie behind it!
TV/Movies / Re: 'Dangerous Sisters': A Movie Worth Watching? by tochi(f): 9:37pm On May 23, 2006

Food / Re: Instant Nigerian Food by tochi(f): 9:13pm On May 23, 2006
Thats a very bright idea! I would totally patrionize you if you went ahead and made

instant Nigerian food. I love Nigerian food but i live in freaking wisconsin so i am

lucky if i find black people food, not to talk about Nigerian food!
Food / Re: Names Of Popular Fast Food Restaurants In Nigeria by tochi(f): 9:08pm On May 23, 2006
It is rather interesting to see all these fast food restaurants springing everywhere.

I have to comment though on the ongoing jist and agree with whoever said BK(Burger king)

will cost about eight hundred naira! For those that say a burger will be fifty abi two hundred,

keep dreaming! The fact that there is cheap labor does not mean that this will be an advantage

to consumers, rather an opportunity to make more money on the producer's side. And to those

saying that micky dees is cheap in india, i was in austria 2yrs ago and that s*** was ridiculously

expensive and they had the balls to even ask us to buy ketchup for our fries! My point is that if

BK is opened in Nigeria, it is not going to be cheap, unless it is the pirated version which Nigerians

are champions @ doing~!
