David, you are quite single yourself. I dont know why you get bothered by those esp females who are fine with being single.

davidylan:

blackmailing who exactly? grin Please show me because i really can't see anyone that the guys would be really trying to blackmail into a marriage.

Denial is blocking your view

When a girl rejects you and the first thing out of your mouth is "That's why you will never find a husband" "No one will marry you" "You are getting old, who are you to be rejecting anyone"

That's blackmail. Esp to the insecure ne cos then they woill take such useless words to heart and consider people below their standards out of desperation.

If Nairaland boys need to get married there's way too much opportunity to do that. i don't think anyone is particularly interested in blackmail.

Speak for yourself David

All these antics are nothing but blackmail.

Lmao NL boys wnat to get marriage and their best plan now is blackmail
Romance / Re: We Need Husbands, But Men Not Forthcoming by TOH(f): 1:32am On Jun 30, 2008
Lmao SisiKill

Exactly jare. Insecure nitwits I tell you. Some are so pathetic the only way they THINK they can hurt a woman is by syaing "that's why no one will marry you!" "you'll see when you end up old and dry"

Bunch of bloody children.

He listed nine points and the only one you could choose was the one on male insecurity?

Yes. Is there a problem? It's the most pathetic point in the entire article.

f anything the other point just says too many people are in a rush and get too desperate which iornically contradicts the reason why this thread was even made in the first place.

Aight . . . provide me with Nigeria's marriage stats undecided

Why should I? Am I the only that constantly screams "OMG HIGH DIVORCE RATE" in every bloody thread? If anyone should look for the Nigerian stats it's you.

Why's this topic revised over and over again?

eldee:

Two-thirds of American divorces are initiated by women, others by various reasons like irresolvable differences from both parties
And a few by men . . . why will we initiate divorce when we lose the cash?

What concerns a Nigerian article with American divorce. Face your backyard please.
Romance / Re: We Need Husbands, But Men Not Forthcoming by TOH(f): 1:07am On Jun 30, 2008
eldeethe fact you are even supporting such an "article" says alot

‘Over successful’
Bankole Adelani, a staff of one of the GSM providers told Sunday Sun that the real reason is that a bunch of the old spinsters are damn too successful. “Imagine the girl you love owning her own house, a big jeep plus other cars, has a steady job and flies in and out of the country. Man, the whole thing is intimidating. How can you measure up with such a high flier?” he asked and sighed deeply with resignation.

This completely REEKS of insecure men. If you have a daughter would you not wish that she is successful. If they have freaking problem s, let them mmarry village chics. Abi ki lo de? They claim they want someone with intelligence and they can converse with YET they don't want her to be well-read?
and please don't give me that lame excuse of "well read chics act very arrogant and they look down on their husbands", even ajepakos are arrogant. If a person is naturally arrogant whether they are successful or not, they will still act that way.

The whole whining about successful women is so pathetic and embarrassing. Frankly I'm bored from hearing about it.
Romance / Re: We Need Husbands, But Men Not Forthcoming by TOH(f): 12:51am On Jun 30, 2008
More like rejected losers making threads trying to blackmail females into considering them.

"Go out with me na, else you will end uip old and dry like that one NL thread I saw"

Family / Re: Is Abortion The Same As Murder? Is Abortion Forgivable? by TOH(f): 7:16pm On Jun 29, 2008
syren:

Abortion is a sin according to the bible, in it there are no exceptions as it said 'Thou shalt not murder' someone asked where it says abortion is a sin in the bible and there is evidence to believe it is. I didn't say the God makes exceptions I meant that I do. They should be taken as two seperate arguments. smiley

seperate for what reason?

Why is it ok for people to clam exceptions but at the same time call other reasons "wrong" and "against God". How are your exceptions not against God as well?
Family / Re: Is Abortion The Same As Murder? Is Abortion Forgivable? by TOH(f): 7:15pm On Jun 29, 2008

@ TOH
your response to the Love and Crime topic was liberal and fair.
My exception is a function of understanding. understanding that it is the will of God that we live and not die to proclaim His works.
I don't know y a child whose birth is detrimental to the health and living of his mother should not be aborted.
and by abortion for me personal, thats not an option because I do believe in miracles.

but it is cogent and morally understandable if the birth of that chilf will lead to the death of his mother.

Well same way you believe a peson has no rule over their own womb, you have no say over what they should do with a threatening baby, no be so?
Family / Re: Is Abortion The Same As Murder? Is Abortion Forgivable? by TOH(f): 6:52pm On Jun 29, 2008
I completely agree with his.
Family / Re: Is Abortion The Same As Murder? Is Abortion Forgivable? by TOH(f): 6:49pm On Jun 29, 2008
noetic:

I will make exception for only genetic cases. and in this instance, I mean that when the birth of the child can lead to the death of the mother

and who are you to make that exception? If you believe God is against abortion completely, who are you to make any exceptions?
Family / Re: Is Abortion The Same As Murder? Is Abortion Forgivable? by TOH(f): 6:45pm On Jun 29, 2008
davidylan:

In the event of rape - abortion is permissible.

says who? Where is that written?

Noetic, this was my response to that Love & Crime thread being compared here which you conveniently ignored

What difference does it make if the spouse forgives a murderer husband or wife? The fact remains that person has to answr to the person/FAMILY of the person that he killed. Ever heard of sins of the parents visiting the children? Whether I forgive my husband or not means absolutely NOTHING because he shouldnt even be looking fotr my forgiveness in the first place.
He should be looking for first God's forgiveness then THAT of those he caused pain in the first place and if those people decide to press charges after it, SO BE IT.

The bible is a reference I was referring to if people live by it then they know GOD is against it, it's a fact. My opinion was that it can be a reasonable solution to desperate situations. They aren't the same thing. cool People kno murder is a sin but if their not religious they'll do it so it depends on your individual morals and beliefs. cool

And no this is not a "Joke" cool

Still not making any sense

Please quote me the bible passage that says "Abortion is a sin unless it's by rape, genetic dieases, etc" cos you people are just making up nonsense now

Personally Im pro-choice so unlike YOU guys I dont go around saying "According To God, abortion is Murder EXCEPT FOR blah blah".

Abegi. If you're gonna believe that abortion is murder, you better just accept that no matter the circumstances it's still a sin and stop fooling yourselves.
Family / Re: Is Abortion The Same As Murder? Is Abortion Forgivable? by TOH(f): 6:10pm On Jun 29, 2008
syren:

It is a sin, and it says so in the bible.

it could be necessary or justified I should say due to rap/incest, if the mother's or the baby's health is at risk,

Are you aware you just contradicted yourself?

Where in the Bible does it say this so called murder known as abortion is a sin EXCEPT for rape, genetic dieases, threat to mother's life.

So it's ok for you to assume abortion is a sin according to God but it's ok for humans to add "exceptions" of when it's "justifiable"

I ask again, is this a JOKE?

Cant believe you are seriously trying to compare the two. How idiotic.

Why are people SO NOSY?

Why do you care if a person decides to abort their own kid? How does it affect YOUR life?

How does one compare first degree murder to abortion? Are you people mentally sound?
Family / Re: Is Abortion The Same As Murder? Is Abortion Forgivable? by TOH(f): 5:46pm On Jun 29, 2008
capital punishment?

Is this a joke?

Funny how the same people who looked down at single parents esp single mothers are the same one screaming "abortion is murder!"

Abeg go and sit down

why the pre-occupation with the tone of your skin though?

Certan colors go with certain skintones better

Light skinned people look better with darker colors

Glorina, no Im not but I do think dark green/black/red/purple clothes tend to look very nice on light skinned girls.

Gamine,

which one of the ladies in your profile is you? After all these rules, heck, you don't have a man left my dear. If you screen all these out of a man, then all you got left is a retarded son of a bitch that pee on himself everytime mama shout "HEY". I'm sure you don't want that, so take number 4, 8 and 14 off that list.

#8 is a fuking pretentious asshole.
Fashion / Re: Indecent Dressing: Trend Or Trash? by TOH(f): 7:06pm On Jun 27, 2008
heat wave?

If you are wearing a bikini top and have no boobs, who are you offending? I mean before baby and marrige. Gwen Stefani walked around with her non existant boobs in bikini tops and capri pants or skirts, looked fine to me.

If it were someone curvy, it would look kind of trashy.
