Jobs/Vacancies / Re: INEC 2012 RECRUITMENT: Has INEC Contacted You For Aptitude Test ? by TopDog1(m): 12:30pm On Jul 11, 2013
@Snazzylove,

I understand your point of view and predicament. What you said is the plain truth. I have seen a lot of enthusiastic staffs get demoralized by the slow pace of work and fraudulent corruption in Govt ministries and parastatals. Honestly it can be quite frustrating. For people like you who really want to work and put in their best........... nothing describes the abysmal discontent at realizing that it was all hogwash. That some persons for reasons best known to them have simply refused to do what is right to make the working conditions of their staffs conducive.

@My prospective applicants,

I also understand where most of you are coming from. A large labor market,an urgent desire to earn an income,no matter how poor it might be initially,a strong desire to wear the toga of being a salary earner,the safety of a federal job. Yes i do. Been in your shoes.

However we must learn to accept divergent views without resorting to the use of abusive languages. Its absolutely uncalled for. Absolutely!
Every man is entitled to his opinion depending on which side of the divide one is coming from.

To those disenchanted with the working conditions ,strive to make a change or move on. And to those seeking to get employed....stay hopeful. However note that not all that glitters is gold.

Just my two cent.

Been on the road for the past couple of weeks,traversing the nooks and crannies of Naija.Observing and interacting with fellow Nigerians who despite the myriad of problems confronting them on daily basis, have chosen to live.

Often times,due to the stress of every day life,stress of living in an environment where things seem not to work,where life seems uncertain. We tend to forget to appreciate our environment,our friends,the people we interact with on daily basis,who despite the problems,manage to keep a smile on their face. Sadly, we get so carried away with surviving that we live our lives as if we never lived........as if we never existed.

To all the good people i met on my field trip,who have never had the benefit of having clean water in their communities, who do not know what it means to sleep and wake with electricity, have no health facilities,have no roads to their respective communities, who do not have access to schools for their kids,and struggle to earn a decent living,farming,fishing and carrying out other forms of occupation. Yet,had a smile on their face and were eager to extend the traditional African hospitality to a stranger,I doff my hat. People who have truly dared to live despite the circumstances of birth........ I respect your resilience to live!

Please come with me as we take a trip to Nigeria's forgotten communities. Come take a look at the good,the bad and the ugly through the eyes of my ever loyal camera.

Mr Seun,

Good to see you listened to the words of your clients.

Kudos.
Nairaland / General / Re: Concerning The Controversial "New" Rules Of Nairaland by TopDog1(m): 10:48am On May 09, 2013
Mr Seun,

Your rules clearly infringe on the right to freedom,association and religion of the average Nigerian who logs on to your site. Your spurious rule 17 is clearly denigrating,biased and discriminatory. You need to sit down and have a rethink. How on earth do you decide comments that are deemed offensive to one religion and those that are not applicable to others.

I laughed in Swahili when i read your rule 21. What is it with Africans wanting to be more white than the white man? Can you tell a Chinese not to write in his native Chinese language in a Chinese website? Is English your mother tongue? Don't you know that pidgin English adds flavor to our conversation. Its our very unique way of conversing,Naija style.

Rule 20 is thrash. Respect is mutual. Users also demand respect and not the flagrant display of naked,egotistic power some of your mods exhibit on some threads. They need to realize that without the folks who log on here with their hard earned money,their wont be any Nairaland. Learn to appreciate your clients.

You also need to realize you cant pull the wool over our eyes. He who wants justice must come to equity with clean hands. You need to be seen to be fair across board to all,irrespective of tribe,religion and sex,else your rules will only be seen for what they are......Hogwash.

Commented on the man's blog and he simply suspended me immediately. Guess he was not comfortable hearing another persons opinion of his stupid and seditious falsehood he was peddling.

What a dunce!
