Rossinky:
Excellent response by the FG. I suggest Nigeria temporarily withdraws from ECOWAS, just to get the rest of West Africa to sit straight.
Nigeria contributes nearly 80% of all ECOWAS funds and those funds help with so many things, from regional security to emergency food and health supplies.
The Nigerian GDP is 75% of West Africa's GDP. West Africa has 14 nations that basically depend on Nigeria for their survival.
Nigeria should LEAVE ECOWAS for them, and ask Nigerian businesses in Ghana to return home.
3 of the top 5 banks in Ghana are Nigerian banks. Order them to withdraw immediately from Ghana, let us see how the Ghana economy can withstand that shock to their system. That move alone will plunge their economy into recession in a matter of days.
Also, 70,000 Nigerian students are in Ghanaian universities, and they are made to pay in dollars there. This brings in billions of dollars to Ghanaian coffers each year. Nigeria should declare that it will not recognise degrees from Ghanaian universities henceforth, and end that phenomenon.
Let us see how long before Ghana gets their head straight after these measures.
If they continue their madness, the FG should consider sponsoring rebel movements in northern Ghana and neighbouring Burkina Faso to infiltrate and destabilize that country, and effect regime change in favour of a more pro-Nigeria administration.
Do you know that Ghana hasn't got a single fighter jet?
Not one. I've done the research. Their military is ranked 28th in Africa, while Nigeria is 3rd or 4th. Even Burkina Faso is ranked above them militarily.
They are very weak and vulnerable to military/terrorist/rebel attacks, and have spent very little on their military, because their government has taken it for granted that Nigerian forces will defend them like we did in Liberia, Sierra leone, Gambia etc, in the event of a crisis.
No more.
Ghana have become too proud and arrogant at the peace and relative prosperity they have garnered using the regional economic and security umbrella that Nigeria has provided the sub-region over the last 20 years.
They must be taught a lesson they will never forget. delusions of grandeur, you closed your borders and we are just activating our local laws. Deal with it 3 Likes |

PetroDolla3: Unfortunately, tribalism is what defines politics in Ghana today. Look, Ghana cannot survive 4 more years under this ndc govt. Are you happy with the way mahama has ruled this country? That is the issue. not whether NPP is an Akan party or not. Akan Party or not, Ghana needs a radical change. We cant continue the way we are going. it is as simple as that.
very very true, my mum is a voltarian and I bet u she is seriously seeking for change, I called her this morning and she told me though ndc might win in the Volta zone, the gap will not be as large as before base on what she is hearing on the ground.
The people are tired, they don't care if npp is an akan party or not, all they want is a change of government. The days of tribalism is over. I'M4CHANGE but sadly I can't vote

GHKWAME1: Promising Fashion Designer/Actor and one of two Ghana's representative at this year’s Big Brother Africa reality television show, Elikem Kumordzi, has denied ever bonking former Black Stars player Odartey Lamptey’s wife, Gloria. Elikem has reacted to some revelations made Thursday, November 28, on rumour segment “Akika kika” on Okay FM’s drive time program “Ekwanso dwodwo” hosted by Abeiku Santana. The program alleged that Elikem had been having a secret affair with the footballer’s wife even before he went into the Big Brother house in May this year. They further alleged that Elikem may possibly be the father to at least one of the three children who have become "fatherless" for now, after Odartey Lamptey disclosed on radio that a DNA test he subjected himself to reveals he is apparently not the father of all his three kids. He flatly rejected the claims, suggesting the equation doesn’t add up, and even went ahead to throw a jab at those spreading the rumors calling them “fools”. Elikem who is currently in Namibia, broke his silence barely twenty fours after Lamptey went public over his wife’s infidelity of some 20 years. He sent his reaction via social media on twitter this morning punching holes into the allegations; he adds that he must be some “gangster” of gigantic proportions to achieve that. “So fools. Do the math. Even if I was with sam1 for 5 years how am I the father of a 10yr old. Kwasia. means I was 15. Den am gangster. Lmao.” In a Friday morning rant, he went on further to suggest he’s never heard of the name Odartey lamptey, saying he was for the first time going to google him today. To Abeiku Santana he said “Ok. It’s comn to me nw. thats d guy who said things against his wife just 2 divorce her. Then went on to marry anoda rite away? Leme google him”. “Father of someone's children?? That ABEIKU SANTANA is doing his job. Its how he feeds his family,” he added. Kumordzi’s denial comes after several fingers were pointed at him, and some other persons including a former teammate of Mr. Lamptey, as fathers of the children. The former Anderlecht player says he’s had reason to question the paternity of their three children. “…I thought they were my children but upon a DNA test, I got know they are not biological children. “The issue is in court so I’m pleading - because it is a legal issue I don’t want to go through so many things, but I am 100% sure that the children are not mine after 20-years”. Odartey Lamptey disclosed yesterday on Neat 100.9’s “Me Man Nti,” hosted by Adakabre Frimpong Manso. “We had five children but two passed away so it is left with only 3,” he added. Lamptey’s wife, Gloria, has since filed for divorce. On the other hand, Elikem is in a seemingly serious relationship with Zimbabwean housemate, Pokello, who has been very supportive in Elikem’s fashion career after they came out of the BBA house. Pokello who modeled for her loverboy Elikem at the just-ended Glitz Africa Fashion Week in Accra has not commented on the issue yet, but it is quite clear this may affect their growing relationship. Keep reading for more information as the story unfolds. Eli bonked the old lady. I believe Karma is finally catching up on him. |

More revelations gon' come up soon but for Eli hmmmm, that nigga got lotta skeletons under his cupboard and I hope the messy breakup won't dwindle his brand though. |

DOYEN003: One reason why Nigeria still fail in developing is because Nigeria is filled n ruled by people like you guys who do not think and see the need to develop but argue without contructive points
We are a country blessed with intelligent and hard working people, abundant resources that can make us the richest country in Africa. We have everything it takes to be one of the greatest country in the world yet we are still struggling to catch up with the reality... Ghana is doing everything to make to the top best economy in africa.
I was opportuned to live in ghana for couple of years and I can't help but appreciate the way this people are trying to make life comfortable for themselves, ensuring that their citizens get the best of what is obtainable in a present day democratic society. From good education(a public secondary school graduate in Nigeria can't go head to head with a ghanaian public secondary school grad) to good legal system and infrastructure, Good health care system and importantly, energy and infrastructure facilities. Today, ghana is the destination for Foreign Direct investment, inter-government partnership and currently the safest country for foreigners thanks to their high level of ssecurity and a law protecting foreigners.
In terms of economy, Ghana is trying to break out from the vicious cycle of poverty, making laws that protect citizens businesses from the claws of foreigners so today you can't just come into Ghana and set up business because you think you are smart. Talk about the devaluation and re- denomination of their currency, you can just walk into ghana with few nairas expecting to have huge cedis for business... NO.
I think you also need to put in check the realities of development, things won't be as easy as they used to be. Ghana is developing and if Nigeria is not fast enough, they will catch up. Remember they discovered their oil, they have functional refineries, good electricity.
When it comes to tourist sites and destinations in west africa. Ghana is also a nice place to enjoy your vacation. They ensure they kept the old memories and develop the new ones.... Had fun watching live elephants and wildlife in ghana....
I am a proud Nigeria but being sentimental about realities is not my thing. Good day. God Bless u brother |

coachwilcox: Ghana facts as a Naija living there
1. Ghana's stable electricity is powered by the West African Gas pipeline coming from Naija which was mostly flared but is now given almost free to fuel their second power plant. Sometime ago when the pipe leaked the electricity situation was worse than Naijas. Light off all the time.
2. Many ordinary Ghanaians do not understand the dependence of their govt on foreign aid, donations, grants, loans etc. Including from Nigerian govt but their leaders know so they tread carefully. Even their police got over 100 vans from Obasanjo not too long ago.
3. Jobs have been created in Ghana because of many investors from Nigeria. Glo alone invested over USD800m to launch. Not to forget 5 big banks that are Naija shareholders owned, insurance companies. Even the multi million dollar foreign students fees from a growing tertiary institution industry is sustained by 90% naija foreign students.
4. The Ghanaian cedi is losing heavily to the naira/dollar at an alarming rate. When I arrived here in 2011 it was 1 dollar to 1.4 cedis but it hit 1 to 2.2 in a little over 1 year. Many businesses are even dollar denominated and I never paid the same cedi amount for Dstv over a year.
5. Ghanaians have a strong sense of entitlement and expect their govt to do everything for them.
6. Ghanaians do not like to compete. For investors, all the big foreign businesses are expected to deposit USD300,000 before they can do business (who does that?). For retail businesses which Naija people are more saavy and industrious about, they resist entry.
7. Ghanaian men are emasculated and its largely a feminised society. Women are more prominent and assertive. Many single mothers, divorcees, landladies etc
8. The average Naija boy wants to hustle via any means to make it. The Ghanaian boy dreams of buying a taxi and driving tourists around. Taxis in Ghana are sooo much...
9. Economically, most investors in ghana are broken down into a. Lebanese and co who basically do retail business. Import and sell consumer goods which in no way improves the economy. b. Chinese who front with restaurants and shops but are actually stealing gold in Obuasi c. European and American who mostly run foundations, NGOs, international orgs and co. d. Nigerians who set up big businesses a la the banks and insurance coys, retail business, SMEs(which is very important for growth) and the shady businesses which still bring income a la Sakawa and co
10. The Ghanaian govt is getting clueless as to how to raise funds cause deir GDP to debt ratio is increasing. As a result all they do is tax, tax, tax, increase tariffs and levy their people. They forget that their period of perceived prosperity was when Kuffour (a friend to OBJ) opened up their economy and allowed many Nigerian foreign investors to come in. When Atta Mills closed it up, the decline began and has continued ever since.
In conclusion the average Ghanaian is delusional and clueless as to where their prosperity is coming from but their govt knows better. I suggest all Naijas pull out and see how this economy will come crashing down. The only luck they have is that Benin and Togo are francophone cause if they were Anglo......Those colonial peeps after all these nonsen.se who izz crying wolf... Bunch of. funny retards 1 Like |
