Politics / Delta 2023: A Different Look At Kenneth Gbagi by Tphil(m): 3:33pm On Nov 15, 2020
https://dailyreportng.com

By Zik Gbemre

In my own opinion, some elites are just scared of Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi being a man that can't be controlled like a robot. They call Gbagi all sorts of names without even knowing who he is. Some say he doesn't pay his workers. Some say he is too harsh. Some say he is too aggressive, and so on. But I think some of these people calling Gbagi all these names don't really know him.

While some believe the negative stories about Gbagi, and some elites deliberately spoil his name because they know they can't control him as a robot. There are also some who can't get free money from him, hence they decide to spoil him all over the place. Gbagi being elected a governor of Delta State is for the good of Deltans and the State, in my own candid opinion. He is a successful businessman. If a man like Gbagi can use his personal money to provide business infrastructure for people to do business, then he will do better when in Government House. Apart from Felix Ibru, all past and present Governors of Delta State live on government alone, and they have refused to invest their money in businesses that would benefit the masses. They take politics as a career/profession, which ought not to be.

Gbagi is a businessman who has created wealth and has provided opportunities for people to work and create wealth for themselves. The only past governor in Gbagi's category in Nigerian politics that I know is Peter Obi, former Governor of Anambra State. If Gbagi can create wealth and give business opportunities to the public in Warri, it means he will do better in Government. Gbagi is worth about sixty billion dollars and he is not seeking to be in government to enrich himself or steal. But to help develop the State. Gbagi will not allow individual politicians to share State resources, as we have seen with past Delta State Governors. I think Gbagi will build standard infrastructure.

Many people don't know Gbagi is a philanthropist who does not blow his trumpet. I know of a young girl that has growth in her mouth who is not related to him, but he has taken over her medication bills. I know of many old people who are not related to him also, who he has put on salaries for years. Do you know that the oldest/aged traditional ruler in Delta state has been enjoying free overseas medicals/vacation from Gbagi for many years till now. The traditional ruler usually stay in his house in the UK whenever he goes there every year on medical check-ups/vacation? Gbagi is a man with a kind heart but most people don't know this. Gbagi doesn't tolerate workers that steal from him.

Politics / Previous PDP: Presidency, APC Sabotaging INEC - Liberator News by Tphil(m): 12:59pm On Feb 18, 2019
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Presidency of sabotaging the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in alleged orchestrated plot to engineer a staggered presidential election.

This, the main opposition party said, was contrary to the “simulated” stance by the Presidency and the national chairman of the APC, Mr Adams Oshiomhole in condemning the postponement of the February 16 elections.

In a statement Sunday by the spokesman for the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, the party recalled its ceaseless protests against the continued retention of Mrs Amina Zakari at a strategic post in INEC.

The PDP reiterated its position that Mrs Zakari is a relation of President Muhammadu Buhari who is seeking re-election on the platform of the APC.

The statement said, “We have been reliably informed that the same Amina Zakari and another high-ranking INEC commissioner played a pivotal role in assisting the APC and Buhari Presidency in sabotaging the operations of INEC and scuttling the February 16 elections.

“The reason for this is that President Buhari is determined to have a staggered election where he can use security agencies to subvert the will of the people at the polls.

“These APC elements in INEC engineered actions that affected the distribution and delivery of INEC sensitive materials to designated locations, thereby frustrating the electoral process.

“We also have details of how a hired team of data hackers corrupted the voters register, with a view to causing mass confusion and voters suppression on election day.

“Nigerians would have been shocked that many registered voters in possession of their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) would have arrived their polling centres on election day, only to discover to their amazement that their names had disappeared from the register in their units”.

The PDP said intelligence at its disposal further detailed how agents of the Buhari Presidency allegedly infiltrated the distribution system and ensured that sensitive election materials did not arrive at the designated locations; with the view to stalling elections in several states and paving way for a staggered election.

“This is in addition to deliberate swapping of sensitive election materials between different states and local governments so as to muddle up the process and stall election in affected areas. In some of states like Edo, sensitive election materials did not arrive at their designated points on APC interruption.

“The PDP urges Nigerians to continue to be alert in resisting the APC and the Buhari Presidency in their plot to sabotage our elections.

“Our promise to Nigerians is that we will continue to stand with the people in exposing APC’s rigging plots and stopping them from creating more havoc and destruction of our democratic process.

“We therefore call on President Buhari to save himself from further disgrace, as the signpost of enemy of democracy, by ensuring that his cabal and their ilk in APC cease forthwith from tampering with our electoral process”, the PDP added

Politics / Delta APC Factions Unite Ahead Of Elections by Tphil(m): 12:48pm On Feb 18, 2019
Ahead of the March 9, 2019 governorship election in Delta State, leaders of the various factions of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Delta State have signed an agreement, resolving to work together to deliver the party’s candidates.

Hyacinth Enuha, an APC chieftain, disclosed this, even as he commended Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for spearheading the reconciliation process among the warring factions.

Enuha, a leader of one factions in the protracted crisis that rocked the APC in the state, told newsmen in Ogwashi-Uku, saying the accord would take care of interests of the party’s stakeholders.

He stated that the agreement had been carefully drafted to ensure that all pending issues were resolved and pending court cases withdrawn.

It would be recalled that the mainstream APC led by O’tega Emerhor, the 2015 governorship candidate of the party, did not accept Great Ogboru as the party’s 2019 governorship candidate on the ground that the State Executive Committee (SEC) that conducted the primary where he emerged was not the authentic one.

Family / My Wife’s Niece Set My Son On Fire by Tphil(m): 7:32am On Jun 21, 2018
MY FAMILY IS ANGRY WITH ME FOR LETTING HER GO UNPUNISHED…
My wife and I have been married for a couple of years and we have two lovely kids together; a boy and a girl. My wife’s 13 year old niece was brought to live with us. My wife has been the bread winner of her family since I married her and I don’t see anything wrong with It. Am from a wealthy home and am also a business man and I have more than enough. Ever since my wife’s niece came to live with us, we have been good to her and we even treat her like she was our own child.

Early this year my wife and her driver was returning from the market and they met my five years old daughter by the gate crying bitterly. They rushed to her and asked why she was crying. She didn’t answer but ran to her mum and was dragging her to follow her. My wife and the driver followed her to our back yard and behold our three years old son was on fire with my wife’s niece watching and doing nothing to help.

My wife collapsed at the sight of it. Our driver put off the fire and rushed him to the clinic but our son couldn’t make it to the clinic as he died on the way to the clinic for he was seriously burnt. My wife’s niece was asked what happened and she said my son insulted her so she put fuel on him and set him on fire. As am writing this, my wife is still in the psychiatry hospital fighting to recover from the shock. I sent my wife’s niece back to her mother but my family members are angry with me insisting I should have made her face the law. Was I wrong to have let her go unpunished?

Webmasters / Going To The Bank Without Pen Is Now Dangerous by Tphil(m): 7:20am On Jun 21, 2018
In the world we are living today, negligent is not an excuse. One should be careful at all times because the things you take for granted might just be a pain in the ass later.
Yesterday a woman went to the bank to pay in money without a pen and she pleaded with a man standing next to her to lend her his pen. The man gave her his pen and told her to meet him outside when she is through. The minute she collected the pen from him, she lost control of herself and was left to do whatever he said. The man simply asked her to withdraw all her money for him and she withdrew all her savings of N450,000.00 (four hundred and fifty thousand Naira) added to what she was to deposit which she handed over to the man outside the banking hall. She became conscious after the man has made away with her money and was left to rue her loss.
This could have been avoided if only she went to the bank with her pen. What she took for granted caused her her life savings.
