What is the model of your laptop? My guess is either battery is drained/faulty, battery is wobbly and disconnects, or your laptop is overheating (although I imagine you'd get a blue screen for that, not a random shutdown).

It really depends on what you're looking for. I know my boyfriend has found some text books on the internet before, but not sure where. Some things are easier to find than others. I remember there being a website full of ebooks, but can't remember the URL for the life of me. I'll try to find it again and post here.

Hey, VSAT stands for Very Small Aperture Terminal, it's basically a low cost shared media system. Found more info on VSAT here, I'd also check out Wikipedia. I'm looking into something like this atm, but in Australia. Here it's said to be fairly low-cost, but don't know what it's like where you are.
