Science/Technology / Upload A #danfonuisance Photo And Win Nokia Lumia 520 by tsaboin: 4:06pm On Jul 15, 2013
Have you ever seen someone around here that haven’t seen a moment of Danfo nuisance in Lagos? Me neither. How about you capture it in a photograph and win an awesome Nokia Lumia 520!

Danfo Nuisance photo contest, the first of its kind photo contest that aims to bring fun into taking photographs of the many annoying and comical views of Yankee Bravo, popularly called Danfo in Lagos. People can now upload their pictures of Danfo nuisance and get voted by their friends, the one with the most votes wins the grand prize. The goal is to identify the most creative Danfo nuisance picture that would be voted highly to win the Nokia Lumia 520 and raise awareness about Danfo nuisances.

To enter the competition is easy; you upload a picture of Danfo taken by you and upload it to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Tsaboin traffic talk. You describe the picture and add your Tsaboin ID, then you get your people to vote for your picture; the more votes you can get, the nearer you get to winning. We believe in the power of the images to tell stories that can’t be told in any other way.

It’s free to enter the contest, and while we appreciate the honed prowess of skilled photography, we also enjoy the work of amateur photos; it should be enough to get people to vote for your picture. You can enter one, or multiple images, each image is judged as an individual portrait. The picture has to be original and yours, and if you don’t have your own picture, check in to vote for others.

Grab your mobile phones and digital cameras and show us your most-see moments of danfos in Lagos.

Check out http://www.tsaboin.com/photocontest for more details.

Webmasters / Re: Traffix.ng - Social Traffic Report For Lagos Launched By 25-yr-old Nigerian by tsaboin: 4:03pm On Jul 11, 2013
Sky-walker:
Note to traffic.ng. Not everybody wants to sign up before seeing the benefits of your application. That pisses some people off. it be nice if you try not to force people to register before they use your web application. I cant even see anything apart from the screen trying to force me to sign up

sites like tsaboin.com which is similar to yours allows users to see traffic update before even registering which is a plus for tsaboin

Yes... you can get it now at http://www.tsaboin.com/general and signup is not required. Thanks for mentioning it.

I tip for https://www.tsaboin.com #traffictalk app, which has advanced features and better reporting system for Android, iPhone, Windows Phone, Blackberry and Nokia Asha.

Updates can be confirmed and you can also subscribe to only the bus-stops from over 1,000 bus-stops enumerated.

Best of all, they have free API that you can connect to get traffic updates for your own app. And an embed-code to embed traffic updates easily to any blog and website to drive user traffic. http://about.tsaboin.com/traffictalk/talkembed/

Its a much more robust system you should check out.

FYI: I work at tsaboin, so my comment is biased but true. Check out our videos on http://www.youtube.com/tsaboin also for more information

And We're hiring developers currently.

Computers / Re: Best Home Internet Service In Nigeria? by tsaboin: 4:49pm On Jul 14, 2008
Starcomms just makes mouth about their subscriber base etc. The lack everything when it comes to customer support and satisfaction. If you want to activate internet, it'll take min of 4 working days after payment (because they have maybe 2 guys to activate over 5,000 requests per day, so until in reaches your turn, wait for it, sucks). God save you, your device has fault, minimum of 14 working days is the number of days you have to wait.

Where is the culture of customer service. Can't they be better. Plus their connection is really really bad.
