Good evening wonderful people, please regarding application for admission into German universities, is it all schools that requires authentication of documents for application? And how do I go about the authentication of documents. Thanks

It's not 18 months. It's currently 22 months. Those who booked Sept 2022 are yet to get appointment (exception goes to 1st to 5th ). That's 22 months , and it's counting

Thanks for your kind response bro!

He should expect a date in 2026 grin. That's if the appointment is not 3 years by then cheesy

Thanks @Hannania for your response on this. So, that means the counting for the appointment date for my brother has started counting from this month since he fell under category B which is 18 months waiting period at least coz he registered this month. And by calculation if I'm right, he should expect feedback regarding the exact appointment date anytime from January/February 2026. Omo this is serious oo,,,, no be joke at allšŸ˜‘

Dear Nairaland Family,

My brother recently completed his registration for a long-term student visa appointment with the German Consulate in Lagos. He received the above confirmation email, but it did not include a specific appointment date. Instead, it mentioned that the waiting period is over a year, and he will only be notified of the exact appointment date four weeks prior to appointment.

I would like to know if this is the standard message others have received after registering. Should we be concerned about not having a specific appointment date right now? Is it advisable to cancel and re-register until a selected appointment date appears on the portal?

Also, does the waiting period for Category B visas start counting from the day he received this confirmation email?

I appreciate any insights or experiences you can share. Thank you!

Good day Hannania, I have been following this thread for a while now and would like to know how soon a student going for Master degree program can get appointment date at the embassy. I would appreciate your response to this

Also, is it possible to try and book visa appointment date despite the fact that you are yet to receive an offer of admission, just to be ahead because of the struggle of getting a date and all, to be on a safe side. Please someone that have ideas regarding this should help out. Thanks

YES!!!!! Congratulations šŸŽ‰šŸ‘. I pray the embassy resume with fast pace for AD soon for all those waiting. Please work towards your C1 before graduation so you can claim your citizenship less than 2 years after graduation

Thanks for your response. My course will start October 1st, 2021. Another question is that my waec result is two sittings, so for legalization at the polish embassy is it that I will pay 30 euro twice? Please more clarification on this. Thanks.

Also I didn't not use any secondary school transcript during the admission, is it among the compulsory documents required to be submitted during visa interview for people going for Bcs? My school didn't request for secondary school transcript for the admission just my WAEC certificate, Int'l passport, passport photo and other documents. Please good people kindly shed more light on this. Thank you all.

1. Thatā€™s the website for booking a date for legalization https://secure.e-konsulat.gov.pl/
You have to keep looking out for an available date.

2. Not sure about the exact cost on this one. Those who have done it themselves on here can respond to this one . But yes it must be done in Abuja.

3. Depends on when your course starts if October then you may book appointment for visa from end of June or early July.

I got an admission to Czestochowa University of Technology to study Bsc. Quality and Production Management. I was not required to Certify my documents for the admission process. Good people, Kindly help with the site to book appointment for legalization. And how much will it cost to legalize it at the polish embassy and documents needed?
2. Secondly, how much will it cost to do certification at the MOE and MoFA and is it a must to do it at Abuja?
3. While trying to pay tuition fee can I go on to book for visa appointment to avoid future delay? I just want to be sure though. Thank you for your quick response great people.
Please members in the house who have pass through this stage should kindly attend to this so that others can also learn. Thanks.

with heart filled with joy and laughter, I wish to announce to my fellow nairaland family, that my visa has been granted.
this journey started since 2013, I tried Canada but was denied. my brother convinced me to try Germany, I tried Germany last year winter 2015, was also denied, people like Nellyb and williamso, know my story. but hear I am today. I gave it another try and believed there's nothing God can not do, he proved his an unfailing God. even on the day of my interview Satan raised his head again, Babanila is a witness, but God won the battle at last. I left my money in deusch account since last August having hope it will end in praise and it ended in praise.

thanks to everyone for Ur help and assist people like Eke40seven,Williamso, Nellyb, and I will not forget Babanila who was with me during my times of trials on the interview day. May God bless U all for me. Those I didn't mention I appreciate U all. am so grateful. thank you all. I will always give back to this house positively.

a.m mail dropped 26th February
insurance and passport submitted on 29th February
package arrived 7th March.

thanks to everyone may God continue to bless us all. those awaiting Ur approval, U will get yours too, in Jesus name. Amen.

The greatest challenge I face is wanting to make millions, of expecting to much monetary wise. Don't come to Germany to hustle, come to Germany to study. Some guys here were always complaining that they did not come here to read many books, others were complaining that they had not got a mini job and they are spending their money, "...account dey go down oh". So we were reluctant to go for classes. When you miss one class you compound your problem. Basically I try to make friends with girls, I mean the german girls. They seem to know how to get past questions and study materials. It helped be allot and is still helping. And thing I have notice in the aspect of exam questions, there are similar to the Nigerian system, they repeat the past exam question all year round grin

Thanks for this detailed info @ogagaejay. You are the boss shocked. Pls we need more people like this boss on this forum, those that have been there and are still there, to give us first hand info.People like: Godson, Topeajis, OPS (MVP), Naijaobi, Emeka55, franklysco,TMED, Nevilbot, and a host of other Gurus. Thanks once again. Let's keep hope alive.

So I came back home from work on Friday night with a sore throat and I'm like this catarr wan start again cus dats wat I usually av since I arrived in dia cold country.

By Saturday morning I was running a temperature and shivering and by afternoon headache was already on d list. I was still enduring it until 9pm wen I couldn't take it anymore and had to call 112. Within minutes krakenwagen show and I av bin in the krakenhaus since den eating two slices of bread for frūstuck und abendessen.

The moral of this story is dat as Nigerians we really fall sick so we myt feel d need to cancel our insurance cus its monthly waste of money. I nearly cancelled mine last month too. But here I am already taken two drips with d 3rd one waiting, injections to my tummy, 5 vials of my blood already taken and an X-ray already done. I'm sure by d time I'm discharged and I get d bill, it won't b less than 2000ā‚¬ . without insurance preferably public, where person wan tey pay that one.

So guys who are lucky enuf to still b on public insurance, abeg don't ever think of cancelling it oo. And as for those on private, if u are not on union who pays 100% I wish u luck

Mai broda, u are healed IJN coz u carried d mind of Christ. Take care. hmmn...
