TV/Movies / Re: Mr Ibu Vs Osuofia: Who Is A Better Movie Comedian? by Tubelsaviz: 2:03pm On Jan 08, 2013
There is a great difference between being funny and being stupid. Osuofia is naturally funny but Ibu forces himself to be funny, making his acting look childish
Literature / Different Genre Of Literature by Tubelsaviz: 3:56pm On Jan 01, 2013
Many notable nigerian legendary authors usually wrote about nigerian society, tradition and the likes. Would you encourage this present generation to try something new like writing crime, fantasy, horror, romance and science fictions? Such genres aren't meant for whites alone. I strongly believe Nigerians can make a difference

Literature / Nurturing Writing At An Early Stage by Tubelsaviz: 3:30am On Dec 31, 2012
Dr. Ben Carson said: "Achievement does not just happen to a few selected people. Anyone can be an achiever." This implies that this generation can produce better writers than these four Nigerian Literary legends. How? Right from infancy children should be educated on the values of education and visiting the library regularly and should be discouraged from excessive social pleasures. As a boy, Ben Carson's mother advised him to cut down on the amount of time he spent watching television programmes and utilize the time more effectively by reading at least two books every week. Today, apart from his success as a medical doctor, he is undoubtedly a renowned author. Just as we eat to become stronger, we read to become better writers. Without constant reading, one can;t be an impeccable writer. Achebe, Adichie, Okri, or Soyinka were not created more specially than us. Our generation can make readers marvel. We can produce greater literally giants. Yes we can! All we have to do is to imbibe the reading culture in our children ab initio and we should also encourage young, upcoming writers. If they can do it, why can't we?

Literature / Problem Of Publishing by Tubelsaviz: 9:39am On Dec 28, 2012
One obstacle which aspiring writers face is publishing and not writing. I know many young authors who have written several unpublished manuscripts. Most publishing companies in Nigeria do not encourage these young writers and so many talents are hidden. How do u suggest we can solve this problem? I need your answers please
Literature / Re: The Fate Of Nigerian Writers by Tubelsaviz: 1:29am On Dec 27, 2012
Nearly all famous Nigerian writers like Achebe, Soyinka, Adichie & Emecheta wrote about tradition & nigerian society. I think it's time to try something new. I'm so keen to read a detective novel like Sherlock Holmes written by a Nigerian, or a science fiction or a fantasy. I really think young nigerian writers should make a difference in Nigerian literature. Crime happens everywhere and there's nothing wrong if a Nigerian writes a crime novel. I encourage all upcoming writers to try to be unique. Be different...Be creative...
Literature / Re: Best African Author: Wole Soyinka or Chinua Achebe? by Tubelsaviz: 9:52pm On Dec 07, 2012
They are bith respected writers but I respect Professor Chinua Achebe more because of his simplicity. Using cumbersome words in writing doesn't necessary make someone a better writer. Achebe writes for all ages. I read two of Achebe's novels when I was only nine. But reading Soyinka's works is a Hercullean task. Many people think Soyinka is better because of his complexity in writing. I don't think so. If they are to be compared, then it should be based on the achievement of their works. None of Soyinka's books ever sold as much as THINGS FALL APART. Every one even mad men on the street knows about THINGS FALL APART. But I don't think any of Soyinka's books is that popular. Winning a nobel prize doesn't mean much. Kudos to Achebe...........
