Romance / Some Funny Responses Of Nigerian Ladies During Intense Sex Romp by uche87(m): 1:53pm On Jul 14, 2016
Intensive research has shown that Nigerian ladies are fond of putting up strange characters in the heat of ecstasy.

These strange unconscious characters have been broken down into several classes by His Royal Highness, George 'Saro Wiwa' of Tori News and listed below:

(1) S*x makes some ladies religious instantaneously:

During s*x, some Nigerian ladies who haven't prayed in ages even by virtue of mistake in the heat of hard thrusts be like; ooooooh Lawwwwd! Chiiiisos! Yes! Yessssssssss! Oh gord!

If you are in this category, I swear the thunder that will fire you will be delivered through DHL.

(2) Some ladies immediately become music artistes:

Most of the ladies in this category may not even sing if you mandate them to do so at gun point but s*x has a way of digging out the hidden treasures in them. These emergency singers be like; Ummmh! Ooooh!! Aaaah!!! Yheeee!!!! Uuuuuh!!! All in a rhythmic style in line with the tune of the thrusts. People in this category will make good back-up singers in reality.

(3) Some experienced ladies become athletes:

S*x has a way of bringing out the spirit of competition in some docile ladies. The way some ladies will be advocating for speed will make you think s*x is a track and field event. They will be like; faaaaast! Faster nowwwww! Yes fassteeeeeer! You are almost there....fast oooooo!
Miss Usain Bolt well done oh!

(4) S*x makes people announce their own obituary untimely:

The way this category of people play with death during romance baffles me. They will be like;
You are killing me! You will finish me oh! Yeee I am finally dead!
This set of ladies will one day pray for long life despite their negative confessions.

(5) Some ladies become terrorists:

These sets of ladies are like the Niger Delta Avengers targeting oil pipelines in the South-south region. They could sound very destructive in their reactions. They will be like; Destroy it! Do it anyhow! Are you not a man? Don't show any mercy! Vandalize the place! Do I look like your sister? Hardeeeeer! Oya fire!
For people in this category, one day you will meet your 'Buratai' who will level the place.

(6) S*x makes some ladies respectful:

I love ladies in this class. They are very calm and sweet. In a very arousing and low tone, they will be like; Give it to me please! Pls I am begging, don't stop! You can do it dear! Pls I am almost there! I will soon come okay, I promise!
Most of the ladies in this zone grew up in comfortable environments lol.

(7) Good s*x has a way of making some ladies confess loyalty overnight:

This class of ladies are like Further Mathematics, I have failed to understand them despite several calculated attempts. They will never confess their feelings on a normal day until they are under the influence of the 'koko'.
They will be like; I love you! You are my life! I will marry you! If you don't propose, I will propose to you oh! You are the best! Just say whatever you want....your wish is my command! Jerk me anyhow, it’s all yours!
If you are in this circle ehn, I swear you need to be flogged at the village square.

(cool Some ladies instantly become beggars:

Ladies under this category paint s*x like a balanced diet which they must adequately consume for body growth and development. They can beg for Africa. They will be like; please don't stop! Please touch my breasts! Please just give it to me again! Please I am begging you! Ple-a-s-e! Pleeeeeeseee!! Plsssssssssse!!! Sssssssss!!!!

In conclusion, majority of the ladies will deny these reactions after the sacred act.

Politics / Subsidy Removal: Top Reasons Why The Scheduled Nlc's Strike May Fail by uche87(m): 12:48pm On May 16, 2016
Tori News correspondent, Osayimwen Osahon George is predicting the nationwide industrial strike action as scheduled for Wednesday, the 18th of May, 2016 by the Nigeria Labour Congress in protest against the removal of the fuel subsidy by the Federal Government may end up being a mere holiday for workers across Nigeria. It should be noted that there is currently a 60% increment in fuel price specifically from N86.50 to a whooping sum of N145 per litre.

This argument is being made on the basis of the factors listed below:

(1) President Muhammadu Buhari's popularity among Nigerians:

Former president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan's attempt to remove the fuel subsidy on the 1st of January, 2012 failed due to lack of public support and trust. Nigerians invariably presumed the public officials would be having larger funds to loot. Buhari's anti-corruption fight which has gained recognition in the international community and led to the recovery of a sum of N600 billion coupled with the arrests of notable Nigerians who served in the previous administration by one of the country's anti-graft agencies, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. These have increased the faith of Nigerians in government which is deemed to reflect positively on the removal of fuel subsidy.

(2) The exposure of the ills behind fuel subsidy in Nigeria:

The aim of subsidy anywhere in the world is to cater for the interests of the common people. The issue of fuel subsidy in Nigeria has created a safe haven for 'legal corruption' in by powerful figures known as the 'Oil Cabal'.

In the year 2011, a sum of N245 billion was budgeted for payment of fuel subsidy by the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan administration which at the end of the year gulped a payment of N2.6 trillion. This high-level robbery has gone unanswered till date in a 55-year old country that claims to have a working constitution and judiciary.

According to the startling details of the highly classified letter leakage between Minister of Transport, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi and the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, a huge amount of crude oil worth $7 billion was stolen yearly by organised 'oil rats' as exposed by a delegation from the United States of America government.

Authoritative reports from the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu also have it that some unscrupulous oil marketers have been illegally diverting 30% of fuel to neighbouring countries including Cameroon and Chad after securing subsidy from government for the purpose of selling at cut-throat prices. 400 trucks of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC were reportedly sent to Lagos but investigations revealed that only 250 trucks were delivered while 150 trucks were diverted for obnoxious interests.

Unconfirmed reports also have it that oil marketers have been selling the dollars obtained from the Central Bank of Nigeria under the guise of fuel importation at the black market for the purpose of making indiscriminate profits without importing fuel. The dollars are obtained the official rate of N197 from the apex bank and sold at parallel market at the rate of N320 or above.

In summary, Nigerians desire to have the loopholes of fraud in the oil sector finally plugged by the removal of the fuel subsidy and the liberalization of the oil market.

(3) The economic condition of the country doesn't favour the fuel subsidy:

Nigeria operates a monocultural economy that relies heavily on the exportation of crude oil in the generation of 95% of the country's foreign exchange earnings. Following the fall in oil prices in the international market, the country has witnessed an over 60% sharp drop in foreign earnings. The oil earnings of Nigeria sits at a depleted value of $550 billion in a month since April, 2016 and the government expends a sum of $225 billion in the importation of fuel. There is the wild scare of a negative economic effect on the already depleted Federation Account from which funds are distributed among the federal, state and local governments if the government attempts to increase its 50% quota in the importation of fuel for equitable distribution in the country.

With funds generated from the deregulation of the downstream oil sector, the current four refineries in Warri, Port Harcourt and Kaduna can be maintained to full capacity and new ones could be built as promised by government coupled with the emergence of private refineries which will encourage healthy competition in the oil sector towards efficiency. The prowess of social media in Nigeria has sensitized the general public on the major agenda behind the removal which will affect the public support of the strike action and subsequent protests.

(4) Nigerians are more concerned about the availability of fuel rather than price:

In the last two months of the biting crisis of fuel scarcity, Nigerians have bought fuel for hyper-inflated prices ranging from N200 per litre upwards. The cheapest price currently at the black market is N150 per litre which a highly competitive demand. This has also had a direct effect on the prices of goods and services.

Unconsciously, Nigerians have gotten accustomed to the emergency prices and are only interested in the availability of fuel especially the business owners who need to stay in operation against all odds.

The phobia of Nigerians for the endless queues at petrol stations led to the growth of the black market that became highly lucrative. This will affect the objectives of the NLC and TUC as they mayn't get the required 100% dedication from the general public as enjoyed in the famous 2012 protest for the same cause. A strong example is the news that the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE) have backed out of the scheduled strike action due to its support for the Federal Government on the removal of fuel subsidy.

(5) The historical antecedence of the NLC and TUC:

The last struggle between the Federal Government and opposing bodies like the Nigeria Labour Congress, civil societies (Occupy Nigeria), Trade Union Congress on the fuel subsidy in 2012 during the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan administration left a couple of questions unanswered. The people who spent days at the MKO Abiola garden in Lagos state including other bodies at several locations in Nigeria felt betrayed by the labour union's inability to push for an outright reversal of the fuel price from N141 to the initial N65 as agreed. The consensus reached with the Federal Government left the price at N97 per litre which yielded issues of distrust in the system.
Some concerned Nigerians are currently trending short articles on social media to sensitize Nigerians against the proposed strike action of the NLC and TUC. Nigerians are suggesting that the leadership of the NLC through its Cooperative Societies should venture into fuel importation since its an open market and sell to its members at lower rates just as it has been selling lands, cars, electronics etc through the same body at various government institutions.

In conclusion, I strongly believe Nigerians are ready to face their worst fears concerning the removal of the fuel subsidy. This is the only way to halt the protracted debates renting the media space for years now. These are hard times that warrant hard decisions before Nigeria becomes Greece.

Politics / Fuel Subsidy Removal: Open Letter To President Buhari From His 'second son' by uche87(m): 12:43pm On May 12, 2016
Dear President Muhammadu Buhari,

Sorry I will be skipping the necessary greetings conventionally attached to a letter like this due to the severity of the matters arising. I write this letter to you with indescribable pains and sense of disappointment in my heart concerning the shocking removal of fuel subsidy which you claimed was non-existent while you were vying for presidency.

According to you, you said you never heard of it given during your time as the Petroleum Minister in 1976 after being appointed by the then Head of State, Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo. We the masses believed you and crucified former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan whom we hurriedly sent back to his hometown in Otuoke, Bayelsa state. During your Chatham House speech in London last year, 2015 prior to your victory, you emphasized that your continued contest for presidency 4 good times over the years, namely 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015 was borne out of your strong will to salvage this nation from the selfish hands of unscrupulous leaders before we finally reach a blind alley and we queued behind you with our little strengths after being economically dehydrated by the PDP-led former administration.

We the masses also believed and trusted in you to help set Nigeria on the right course after our 16-year old ordeal in the hands of leaders of the People's Democratic Party who heartlessly defiled our treasury thereby leaving us at the mercy of the ruthless tongues of world leaders like the British Prime Minister David Cameron who has described us as a 'fantastically' corrupt nation. The elites in Nigeria who were enriched by the bazaar of the previous administrations such as the $2.1 billion arms deal scam stood against you. The PDP wetted all grounds with mind-boggling amounts of money; bribing our traditional rulers in the South-west with dollars in a bid to influence our voting decisions but we stood for you sir. We all saw hope in Nigeria through you. No matter how far we believe we could stay away from Nigeria, history still has it that it is our home. We picked up our Permanent Voters’ Cards, PVCs wielded them in the air like weapons and stormed the various polling units; our warfronts where we fought for the destiny of Nigeria which was clouded with the onslaught of treasury looters.

Dear Buhari, you were our last hope of bringing succour to this nation which has almost been turned into a curse on the populace. But today, you have not only gone back on virtually all your campaign promises, you have also compounded our woes. If you can't take us out of the Wilderness to the land of Canaan as promised, why don't you leave us there rather than ruin our lives in the deep Red Sea. The increment in fuel price negates the view of a former Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Professor Tamunoemi David-West's expectation of you to reduce the pump price to N40 due your benevolent nature. You intelligently took a safe position by not responding to the viral promise which played out well for you politically. I am pushed to assume Nigerians were not your immediate target but the exit of Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan who is busy picking up empty international awards for the good works of being 'fantastically corrupt'.

Dear Buhari, the blood of the 7 brave people of Birin Bolawa and Birin Fulani in the Nafada district of Gombe state who gallantly defied the fear of Boko Haram fighters to vote for you during the presidential elections before they were attacked will be flowing endlessly at the announcement of the removal of the subsidy which I believe was concluded before your attendance of the anti-corruption summit in the United Kingdom.
Sir, I remember the resistance you displayed each time the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Emmanuel Kachikwu brought up the necessity of the discontinuation of the payment of fuel subsidy by the government which was only satisfying the selfish interests of the fuel marketers. You expressed deep concerns about the untold hardship on the Nigerian masses that stood gallantly and shamelessly behind you during the ultimate search for your Senior Secondary School Certificate. We all affirmed our faiths in you and promised to still vote you even if you tender a 'NEPA bill' for such a position of high esteem like the presidential seat. For the first time in the history of Nigerian people who attach so much importance to academic qualifications rather than skills and intelligence, we looked down on the highly coveted doctorate degree.
Your decision also confronts me with the fear that may soon be cowed into the devaluation of the naira which you have stood against for reasons of hyper-inflation and excruciating economic discomfort on the people considering the languid nature of our economy as well as our taste for foreign products.

Mr Oga, the removal of the fuel subsidy is a betrayal of the trust we have in you. It is really disheartening. I hurt so bad as I pen down my words at the wee hours of the day considering how massive I supported you during the heated presidential elections. Nigerians have been so patient with the near-negative change since May, 2015 when you took over. Every governmental process from your team led to different dramas with thrilling episodes. It took you 5 months to appoint your 'angelic ministers' and also 5 months to sign a mercilessly padded budget whose culprits are still in government with re-assigned offices despite assertive threats from you. You have a record of the longest fuel scarcity in the history of Nigeria running into invariably three months while you exhausted your locally refined 'excuses' that filled the petrol tanks of our vehicles and other power-generating sets. The first class certificate and Exxonmobil experience of Ibe Emmanuel Kachikwu failed and is still failing woefully in ameliorating the brouhaha. I am forced to think our problem isn't in the textbooks but a carefully designed indigenous initiative to satisfy the interests of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, related agencies and the ‘indispensible’ independent oil marketers who have shown their level of superiority over governance clearly in the last three months.

We have all bought fuel for unspeakable prices in the last few months sir excluding the presidency. You created million of jobs for Nigerian youths in the petroleum sector through the growth of the black market that saw supposedly visionary Nigerian youths display their Shylock tendencies. We lost a promising youth in Festac Town, Lagos in the fuel scarcity crisis after being allegedly shot by an official of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps and the crime has gone unanswered till date simply because the victim was the child of a common man just like the kidnapped Chibok girls and the victims of Fulani mayhem in Agatu, Benue.

Mr President sir, you have released several diplomatic press statements I strongly feel were produced without your knowledge because this administration is very similar to the previous one in terms of talking the talk and not walking the walk. You keep telling us you know we are suffering and you feel our pains while you constantly hang in the air en route 24 countries since you emerged as president in the last 11 months but sir pardon me to call that a 'presidential lie' orchestrated by the journalistic skills of your media aides, Femi Adesina and Garba Shehu who have waited all their lives to enjoy the ambience of the Aso Rock villa.
Baba Buhari, you are in Nigeria but you are far from Nigerians. You feel our pains no more. You are so disconnected from the people that entrusted their votes in you. The field of Political science where I secured my masters degree teaches me that this is the first indication of a failed government because a true leader is the full representation of the image of his people. You are the president of Nigeria because of us. You are our special SERVANT but the irony is that there is no service here.

My father at the age of 65 went to the polling station in Ibadan, Oyo state as early as 8am during the presidential election. As he was leaving, he was motivated by your plans for 'CHANGE'. After voting, he stayed back to monitor and 'defend' his vote till it was counted with his weak strength.
He danced to the advent of a new Nigeria at your victory. I was sad to call him that you removed one of the only viable government subsidies the poor have been enjoying in Nigeria since independence in 1960. He screamed in shock and disappointment when he heard the new price of fuel is N145. Buhari, this is where we are now. I know you are very good at ignoring criticisms and views of Nigerians in the media which is paramount among leaders with military backgrounds. I know my opinions don't count but posterity for have it on record that I spoke out to a man I supported with all my heart in the face of fears of islamization of Nigeria, membership of Boko Haram, tribal domination issues, widespread institutionalization of Sharia law, political dictatorship, old age factors amongst others which Governor Ayodele Fayose and his opposing PDP reiterated on with highly sponsored articles in all aspects of the media. We were defiant in our course; we stayed focused to the end. Even when they induced us with money, we 'chopped' it like Ponmo and followed our hearts.
Jonathan's election loss despite expending a whooping sum of N2.2 trillion according to the Punch confirms our unflinching support for you sir.

In fairness to you sir, your intentions are good but this particular move of oil subsidy removal is a hard decision that will end up being fatal and detrimental in the long run. It will increase the level of inflation we have on ground already. I am sure Madam Aisha Buhari hasn't told you the price of tomatoes in the market sir. Even a popular Nigerian singer, Waje Iruobe humbly wailed on social media at the high price of the local commodity.
This government is currently struggling to provide jobs thereby forcing the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed to desperately set out to provide at least masquerade 1,000 jobs in the practice of our culture. That's a brilliant idea anyway if his family members and the children of the elites could lead the race like the Central Bank of Nigeria's backdoor recruitment.
Furthermore, this current administration is also toiling hard to increase the minimum wage of federal civil servants from a minute amount of N18, 000 which is long overdue. This administration is struggling to also diversify the economy in the face of economic downturn and heal our sick naira. This administration has recorded several almost-insolvent states that can't pay the salaries of workers despite being oil-rich. This administration also produced the 'top achiever', Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola who has increased electricity tariff by 45% despite producing more darkness than ever. In fact the power bills represent our usage of SUN light rather than electricity.

Several private companies are folding up due to high running costs in the face of economic hardships. Some surviving small and medium-sized enterprises, SMEs are struggling to pay salaries with their workers surviving on anti-corruption news which realistically can't sustain the human body according to science.
What will be the fate of the masses if at the end of the day, there is no equitable distribution of petroleum product across Nigeria with the fuel subsidy removal? We will surely be at the mercies of selfish black marketers selling products at cut-throat prices that could even skyrocket to N400 or N500 if it persists. Where are the necessary palliatives needed to cushion the adverse economic effects of the price hike?
We are in danger! Nigeria has been stolen from us overnight.
In simple terms, people are not getting enough money but they are conditioned to spend more money. That's pure hardship that doesn't represent a government that promised us a change of the status quo.

Baba, I swear make I nor lie for you ehn, this 'CHANGE' nor be am at all, it also needs a 'change' abeg.

Yours Sincerely,
Osayimwen Osahon George

Politics / I Am Not Tinubu's Puppet - APC Gubernatorial Aspirant, Rotimi Akeredolu Opens Up by uche87(m): 11:26am On Apr 23, 2016
A former president of the Nigerian Bar Association and gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ondo, Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN granted an exclusive interview to Tori.ng's Correspondent, Osayimwen Osahon George during which he spoke about the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the sunshine state, his plans and other related issues.

Read excerpts from the phone interview:

Tori: The 2016 gubernatorial race is quite a very competitive one. According to media reports, we have 30 aspirants under the banner of All Progressives Congress, APC and 10 under the People's Democratic Party, PDP. With all these competitors, are you optimistic about your victory and why sir?

Aketi: Well, I don't know how you arrived at the figures but if they are correct, it is a welcome development. For me, I am particular about the APC. I know that the party to beat is the APC. PDP will have to struggle to ever surmount the APC's onslaught in the forthcoming gubernatorial election. With 30 people or so as you have said, I am very optimistic. I know that all the members of my party, APC are giving their sense of justice and fairness. They are fully aware they will have to make the choice of a formidable candidate and I am formidable enough to be their choice.

Tori: The Commissioner for Information in Ondo state, Kayode Akinmade attacked your personality. He questioned your contributions to the development of Ondo state. Can you explain your contribution(s) to the development of Ondo state?

Aketi: Some of us have been here in Ondo state, we occupied the position of Attorney-General and our record is there to show for it. So He (Kayode Akinmade) must not look at things from his very myopic view. He must be so young that I don't think he has a sense of history. So when it comes to contributions to Ondo state, I have made my own mark, I have made my own contributions in many ways as Attorney-General from the year 1997-1999 and I have been a child of the state as the president of the Nigerian Bar Association. So my contributions can't be questioned. He has just come up as the Commissioner for Information and the only job he has is to run people down and assassinate people's characters which can't be said to be a contribution to progress in Ondo state. The records are there for them if they care to look at it. Ask them in the judiciary, ask the lawyers, those who were around when I was the Attorney-General; I have made my contributions and I am proud of them.

Tori: There are media claims that you abandoned Ondo state after the 2012 gubernatorial election. Where were you after the election sir?

Aketi: Again, those arguments are coming from people who are myopic and have short memory. They can't track events or they have Selective Dementia, in that it is convenient for them to make false claims when they know they are not correct. If they can track events, I was in Ondo state after the election. I was in court for one year. Three months out of that year were spent in Abuja and other places. I was here in Ondo state at the election Tribunal and the Court of Appeal. After the court case to fight for my mandate, the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, my party had its transformation to APC. I became the interim Chairman for APC in Ondo. I birthed the APC in Ondo state. After the congress, we had a new executive and almost immediately after that, we started the national campaign. I was actively involved with President Muhammadu Buhari and other party chieftains. I was with the presidential campaign committee and other groups. So what else?

I have never left. It’s just that it is convenient for them to say it and by the time they are confronted with the facts, they run away from it. There is no politician in Ondo state whether dead or alive that has devoted more time to the politics of Ondo state and APC than myself. I can boldly say this.

Tori: Can you share with us some lessons you have learned from the 2012 gubernatorial election in Ondo and how you intend to exploit your experience for positive gains in the upcoming 2016 gubernatorial election in the state?

Aketi: A lot of lessons have been learned. This is not peculiar to me alone but also the party, particularly the legacy party, ACN where we came from. We have learned a lot from the last election.

Firstly, today we have adopted a new means of selecting candidates. In the past, we had our own way of choosing our candidates which was convenient for us. That system has thrown up very great leaders in this country but today we are now going by the way of primaries to move us ahead.

Another lesson we have learned is that if you have the opportunity, you must be in control of your own campaign and not mandate people to run around for you. You must have a core of people who are interested in power and not money to run the campaign. They are the people you must put in charge of a number of things on the election day. You can't put people who are interested in money and who are mercenaries as agents or anything in a campaign any longer which is a great lesson.

And another one which I know all of us have learned in the past is that we have gotten to a point where we will only win this election by taking serious precautions to prevent rigging as the Labour Party did in the last time. We must work against rigging and the act of using money to influence voting.

Tori: You have constantly criticized the administration of the current governor of Ondo state, Olusegun Mimiko for its failure to create jobs. What are your plans to alleviate the problem?

Aketi: Job creation is paramount. Job creation is the only way to guarantee security. It is the only way people can talk about dividends of democracy. If you have an army of youths that are unemployed, there can't be adequate security. I have said that we will create jobs in Ondo state by going back to the basics. There are lots of jobs that can come from a chain of agricultural programmes. So our own job creation is going to be through agriculture, industrialization and entrepreneurship. Those are the things we want to do. Overtime, I will provide specifics but for now, job creation is the bedrock of our goals. We can encourage people to acquire skills, own their own businesses and employ others. We will also establish a few industries in the state that will be encouraged. With that, people will have jobs. Except we are able to do that, we have missed it.

Tori: Large sections of the Ondo electorate believe you will have problems governing the state due to the fact that you are based in Ibadan, Oyo state. Do you think that will be a militating factor?

Aketi: I don't know about being based in Ibadan. I have a house in the Owo area of Ondo state. I have my law practice in Ibadan. I am just like every other person. Every other person running in this election has one thing or the other doing outside Ondo state except if they want to tell a lie and say ''I live in Ondo state. Live here doing what?''

The most important thing is that you have commitment to your state and you are ready to live what you are doing to come and serve your people. That is what should be at play and that is what should matter to everybody. I am ready to leave what I am doing to come and serve the people of Ondo state. People have overtime returned from Lagos to Ondo, Abuja and even Canada during the election. There was a lecturer that came from the University of Ibadan and He did well. So what are they saying? Was Governor Mimiko living here in Ondo state? Was He not a Minister in Abuja? Everyone has the right to practice in a place where he can grow and attend to people. The Yorubas have an adage which says; “We have gone to work and we are bringing what we have gained back home for the best of our people” That's what we are trying to do.

Tori: The Internally Generated Revenue, IGR of Ondo state between the month of January to November, 2015 was N10 billion. This was highly celebrated by the state government knowing fully well Lagos state achieves more than double that amount, specifically an average of N23 billion monthly. What are your plans to improve the IGR of Ondo state?

Aketi: The Internally Generated Revenue of any state is dependent on many factors. That you are celebrating a N10 billion achievement is no doubt being parochial because we can do more than that. The only way you can increase the IGR is partly to ensure you have created jobs for people. This is because part of the IGR has to come from a thriving economy. When you don't have industries, when people are not working, there is no time the IGR will pick up. We can really do better. So many things can be done.

We are an oil producing state and up till today, we don't have any industries where by-products of oil are being made. So why are we an oil-producing state? Why have we not being able to attract one or two refineries. Aliko Dangote was supposed to invest in Olokola but because of ineptitude of the government, such an enterprise that would have given a boom to the economy of the state was moved to Lagos. So if you talking about IGR, there are many things you have to put in place to increase it and we will focus on them if we have the opportunity of being in charge of the state.

Tori: What are your plans for the elders and widows as well as a poverty alleviation strategy for Ondo people?

Aketi: There will be a social security plan for the elders and widows so that they can be comfortable at their old age. I am convinced that providing food for the elderly ones will ease their problems. With the provisions from the state, they will be able to eat. By providing food, poverty becomes reduced in the state. A Yoruba adage says: ''Ti won ba yo owo ebi kuro, Ise ku ferefe'' (If the problem of hunger is resolved, poverty will be drastically reduced).

To alleviate poverty, our plan is very simple; we will be looking at job creation. People will be encouraged to venture into several areas of agriculture like poultry, piggery, fishery and so many other areas which are unending.

Today, we are talking about having a grazing area. Must we continue to move cattle from one area to another for grazing? Do we see cattle being moved around in advanced countries? Don't they stay in one place and feed fat? So this will be part of our contributions to the development of agriculture in the state. Ondo will have its own ranch where people can visit to buy fat and healthy cows. We will also develop a farmstead. We can see if we can have rural development and community extension services so that people will not drift to town again. The act of rural-urban migration must be discouraged.

We will also provide necessary basic amenities in the rural areas for people to stay, farm and live. With that, including lots of other things in our programme to be done will help in alleviating poverty.

Tori: There is a popular claim that you are Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu's puppet. Can you explain the relationship between you and the APC national party leader?

Aketi: I know Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu very well. He is a great leader of our party. He is very gifted. He has that gift of discovering people of good qualities. You can't take that quality away from him. He has done this over and over. He looks at different areas with other party leaders and discovers people that will be able to impart positively on the lives of people in their own states. To the best of my knowledge, Bola Ahmed Tinubu isn't someone that could harbour puppets. I am not too sure he wants people he can be tossing around. He has great respect for people who are intelligent and independent. I have also been his Lawyer and have handled one or two cases for him. We have mutual respect for each other. A man that has occupied the position of presidency of the Nigerian Bar Association is not expected to be a puppet to anybody. For him, he has respect for me and I also have great respect for him as a leader of our party.

I know that in his own ways, he more or less discovered that this young man can do something good for Ondo state. That is all he has done. For me, the best I see of him is that he identifies good persons for states with a readiness to give them the needed strong backing not because he wants that person to become his puppet. So anybody saying I am a puppet of Bola Tinubu will be wrong. We must be able to acknowledge his contributions to democracy.

Tori: Any parting words for the people of Ondo state?

Aketi: As for my parting words for Ondo people; we are coming, there is hope and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I call on them to give us the support, particularly our party members at the primaries and the state as a whole during the general election when we could have emerged as the gubernatorial candidate of our party. I want to tell them that this is a matter of passion and compulsion on my path to impart on the people of Ondo state. I can assure them that I will not fail them.

I have a contract with them and that contract is to make sure the sun shines again in Ondo state. All of us will live a better life. I urge them to keep hopes alive. I will surely be there by the grace of God.
Thank you.

Politics / Top Benefits Of Buhari's Foreign Trips Thus Far by uche87(m): 10:32am On Apr 04, 2016
President Muhammadu Buhari has traveled to 21 countries in the last 10 months of his administration and his trip to the United States of America for a nuclear summit makes it his 25th time of jetting out for a personal or state affair according to a compilation made by the African Independent Television, AIT.

Buhari's trips which are heavily motivated by Foreign Direct Investments haven't been as fruitless as strong social media claims paint them to be. His foreign trips have been tagged as acts of ''globetrotting or junketing" gulping over $23 million thus far from the country's treasury according to the People's Democratic Party, PDP.

Here are some major breakthroughs from Buhari's frequent trips abroad:

(1) China is set to invest $60 billion dollars in Nigeria and Africa:

During the China-Africa summit held in Johannesburg, South Africa attended by President Muhammadu Buhari in December, 2015, Chinese President Xi Jinping promised to invest $60 billion in Africa with Nigeria being the most populous nation in Africa benefiting immensely.

(2) China has also sought more crude oil exportation from Nigeria:

Following an agreement with Buhari at the China-Africa summit, China decided to ignore the emergence of Iran to buy more crude oil from Nigeria which will go a long way in boosting the country's economy. This announcement was made by the Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria, Mr Zao LingXiang during an interview in Abuja in March, 2016.

(3) U.S.A has decided to buy more crude oil from Nigeria after suspending trade relations during the previous administration:

President Muhammadu Buhari has made two trips to the United States of America since his emergence. This helped in fixing the strained trade relationship between both countries under the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan administration during which the United States halted the buying of crude oil from Nigeria due to the high rate of corruption in the country. On the 24th of March, reports emerged that the U.S importation of Nigerian crude had jumped to 559,000 barrels per day.

(4) U.S.A is set to invest over $600 million in Nigeria this year:

This was announced by the Secretary of state, John Kerry during the opening session of the U.S - Nigeria Bi-National Commission meeting. This will be aimed at reducing the spread of Malaria, HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and other stringent issues affecting the country.

(5) U.S has pledged to help Nigeria with concrete intelligence on the loot stashed abroad by corrupt former and current public office holders including the Boko Haram insurgency:

The United States of America is currently helping Nigeria with information on looted funds stashed abroad by corrupt politicians. This also extends to the status of the missing 219 Chibok girls and the progress of the Boko Haram sect. Most of this information hasn’t made the headlines due to their classified nature.

(6) Buhari's Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) deal with Qatar:

Although, this has been trailed by criticisms due to the fact that Nigeria has no national carrier, the deal will pave way for direct flights between Nigeria and Qatar which will foster better economic relationship.

(7) Buhari signed a bilateral agreement with the United Arab Emirates which will ensure the repatriation of stolen funds hidden in Dubai:

Reports have shown that Dubai is the new destination for looted funds which are saved in financial institutions and also used in the acquisition of properties. Reports also have it that UAE authorities blocked a former governor from transferring his looted $517 million from the country to Dominican Republic in a bid to prevent its repatriation to Federal Government coffers. This will go a long way in recovering lost funds needed to boost the ailing Nigeria's economy.

(cool Nigeria's membership of the Saudi Arabia-led coalition of Muslim countries against terror (ISMAT):

Although this membership has been heavily criticised due to fears of Buhari islamizing Nigeria, it’s a good move just as Nigeria's acceptance of the assistance of G-7 countries from the West on the same agenda. Any foreign help to make Boko Haram history should be exploited to make Nigeria and other neighbouring countries safe again after we have lost 20,000 people to terrorism as well as over 2 million Internally Displaced People.

Putting political, ethnic or religious affiliations aside, Buhari's foreign trips have made a bold statement in the international scene. More returns are guaranteed if our economy can be set on course with the development of capital projects to make the country attractive to foreign investors.

Politics / Nigerians, I Hope You Are Enjoying The Change? by uche87(m): 12:05pm On Mar 14, 2016
I wish I will never have the cause to publish this piece for people to read. I wish this outpour of my thoughts during a lonely, dark and hot time will probably perish in the archives of my laptop and never get out. My heart bleeds like a new bride who caught her groom cheating with a female hotel attendant on the last day of a blissful honeymoon. No matter how good you console her with secular and biblical references, what runs through her mind is the untold hardship and surprises accrued to living with such a randy man she gave her all to for the rest of her life.

2019 is like eternity making reference to where we are coming from. I pen down my thoughts with a broken heart to ease my pains as the art of writing is like my painkiller I have to admit I abuse most times due to overdose.

Its disheartening to see the breakthrough slogan of the masses go from 'CHANGE to CHAIN' in just 9 months. The support for President Muhammadu Buhari 8 months ago was so massive that the United Kingdom former Prime Minister, Tony Blair through his representative, Lord Mandelson at two-day policy dialogue programme in Abuja, May, 2015 urged Buhari to take hard decisions to revamp the sick status of the Nigerian state taking advantage of the enormous support he was enjoying from the people. Like a musical show setting, even the silence of Buhari was blindly applauded by all of us and we named it 'body language'. I know this piece with cause me to lose friends and increase the level of disaffection of some certain people who feel I am derailing in my support of the current administration; but the truth must be told no matter the size of the audience as lies will never stand the test of time even though the instant impact maybe corrective. How many people selflessly supported the All Progressives Congress campaign without financial inducements or future promises of personal gains as much as I did? My records speak volume of my beliefs and unflinching support for the general will of the people which is the core purpose of the existence of the state.

Lets put our political affiliations aside for once, let's pull off the garment of sentiments, let's close our eyes to personal benefits from the current administration, let's rid our heart of religious and tribal sentiments that could cloud our sense of judgement, let's sink into the campaign promise of the ruling party to hit the ground running as you attempt my next question with a sense of truthfulness and transparency.

How do you feel when you return from work at virtually 9pm or 10pm after leaving the house around 6am only to meet utter darkness like we are in the primitive times when the discovery of electricity was still uncertain by American Scientist, Benjamin Franklin in 1750? Then you stroll into your house with the dim light from your mobile phone nursing the faint fear of what is hiding in the dark. You open the door to your room and the heat envelopes you like you are training for a spell in hell fire after being condemned to death for your sins.

The next activity that strikes your mind is having a cold shower. You head for the bathroom and discover there is no water due to lack of power to pump water into the storage tanks. In that moment of frustration compounded by tiredness, hunger and probably bad experience with a boss or a colleague, you reach for the electricity generator and the fuel tank is as dry as Buhari's campaign promises.

The necessity of power becomes intense; who do you cry to? Banking on the power company for the restoration of light is the height of flippancy when something important is at stake. Then the next step is to run to nearby filling stations only to find some locked due to lack of fuel or you meet a queue that is 'longer' than the late Sani Abacha's loot that keeps being returned endlessly even 18 years after his demise.

Drawing the needed inspiration from the patient dog that ends up with the fattest bone, you join the queue not minding the hyper-inflated Premium Motor Spirit price which is almost double the normal rate due to scarcity, and with a tactical maneuver, it finally gets to your turn to purchase fuel only for the petrol station attendant to tell you they don't sell fuel directly into Jerry-cans to curtail the activities of black market operators. The thoughts of carrying your 2KVA generator on your head or detaching the fuel tank for a revisit to the filling station strikes your mind as you take that lonely walk home.

Your clothes remain rough needing ironing for the following day's work. Your phone gradually beeps to notify you of a low battery. This is complicated with this age of specialized Smartphones with poor battery strength due to frequency of use. Furthermore, you retire to your mild bakery called your room for the needed sleep with some 'musicians' called mosquitoes offering you an unpaid service.

As you wait for sleep to ease your bitter mood, you unconsciously refresh your Facebook/Twitter or favourite blog and fresh news of the unabated mayhem by Fulani herdsmen, more cases of the Ese Orurus surfacing and the 'Gates' involving financial figures that could shock the devil himself surface. Does that call for a dance?

The drama doesn't stop there; your month ends in this manner in a repetitive way and at the beginning of a new month when you are yet to receive your salary for the month as a civil servant, you receive one staggering power bill in the tune of N20,000 awaiting you as practiced in Lagos. What a rip off!

Enough of the imagery, how does that make you feel? It worsens when a propagandist/sycophant seeking political or economic favour goes on national television to thank Buhari or the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola for the 'good works' when the megawatts on paper has hit an all time low of 1,580MW with an increased electricity tariff of 45% without a proportional increment in earnings. Kai! Diariz god oh!!

Be truthful to yourself. This is more of a heart-to-heart talk and not a regular article. I know this government needs times as its barely 9 months old and cleaning the 16-year rot left behind by the People's Democratic Party, PDP is the usual talk forgetting the fact that 80% of the APC members are from the PDP.

Buhari might have lost his popularity but a turn-around in just the power sector alone in three months will win back all his supporters and appeal to the hearts of others against him because power issues directly affect the masses who don't have the financial capacity to manage it like the affluent. The lingering problem of the power sector today still bores down to a case of square pegs being allocated to round holes. Fashola's appoint shares the same similarity with the appointment of the late former Attorney-General of the Federation, Bola Ige as Minister of Power by former President Olusegun Obasanjo in 1999. They both share the same discipline, ethnic group and high level of expectation from the people. Fashola before his emergence as the Minister of Power, Works and Housing lamented on the state of the power sector which was a focal point through which the APC drove home their points on the removal of former President, Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan. A lot of Lagosians applauded Fashola's appointment with the expectation of the said developmental 'magic' he did in Lagos as governor being repeated. Bola Ige amassed support during his time by giving himself a 6-month ultimatum to revamp the power sector failure to which he would voluntarily resign. Reality later dawned on him and after his self-imposed ultimatum elapsed, he started blaming the power problems on vandalism and sabotage until Obasanjo gave him a soft-landling by re-assigning him to the Ministry of Justice.

The same trend of vandalism and sabotage is the same excuse we get about the shambolic fall in the megawatt which is far from the 25,000 target needed by Nigeria. You can perceive the problem seems historic and Fashola's first move of increasing tariffs for the services people are not enjoying in the face of an economic downturn shows he isn't the man for the sector. Such a capitalist orientation of profits regardless of the plight of the masses should be discouraged. Its a case of absurdity in business for an investor to raise money from its customers to stay in business like the DISCOs (Electricity Distribution Companies) are proposing indirectly simply because we don't have a choice. If this administration can't make our lives better, then it shouldn't make things worse before 2019 when we will be on the match again.

It was on this note that Senator Dino Melaye cried out on Twitter that Buhari should take the burden of the power ministry from Fashola before the burden dislocates his neck.

Someone on social media drew my attention to a conspiracy theory as regards the woes of the power sector. According to him, the National Assembly is yet to approve that 2016 national budget as the Senate President, Bukola Saraki is allegedly using the approval of the budget as a bargaining point out of his travails in the Code of Conduct Tribunal over a 13-count charge of false declaration of assets, hence the major reason why Fashola's hands are tied due to lack of funds. That sounds interesting regardless of the authenticity of the underlying issues raised but I will like to remind others making similar excuses for failure that in a working system, the people need not to pay attention to underlying factors or dynamics of politics and administration. The people only focus on the output of governmental processes i.e results. For example, no bank customer cares about the number or certification of bank workers, their working conditions, security, remuneration and mode of movement of cash as well as the bank's private business engagements or promotions. The customer's business is to save his money when there is a need to and withdraw without hindrance. This is just one of a host of several real life examples.

I salute the current political consciousness of Nigerians which I believe was woken up by economic hardships. That is the real CHANGE we need. The sincere 'change' starts from me and you. This can be confirmed in the words of Aristotle which says: The energy of the mind is the essence of life.

Politics / 2015 Election: Top 10 Indications APC Wasn't Ready To Rule Nigeria by uche87(m): 10:20am On Mar 07, 2016
It’s been over 8 months since former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan of the People's Democratic Party handed-over the mantle of leadership to President Muhammadu Buhari on the 29th of May, 2015 and Nigerians are still waiting for the 'change' marred with failed campaign promises.

The significance of the ruling party metaphorically 'eating its words' to stay alive in the face of the cash crunch speaks volume of the party's lack of readiness to rule Nigeria but only to secure political power willy-nilly.

Below are some stringent indications the APC was never prepared to rule the country:

(1) Appointment of Ministers:

It took President Muhammadu Buhari 5 good months to appoint his cabinet members. His excuse was that his administration was trying to estimate the state of all the government ministries. We all patiently waited for the 'angelic Ministers' of change until he presented some regular politicians with tainted names. His lateness in the appointment of Ministers laid the foundation for the hush-hush preparation of the 2016 appropriation bill that stirred up controversies.

(2) Economic downturn:

During the twilight of Goodluck Ebele Jonathan's administration, the price of oil in the international market started falling. The price per barrel stood at $50 with Economic Analysts predicting an all time low value but Nigeria's political messiah, APC developed no contingency plan to turn the economy around in the face of the economic crisis and it will shock you that Buhari's budget of N6.08 trillion betrays the principle of cutting one's coat according to his size. The economy is virtually run with inactions which prompted the Nobel laureate winner, Wole Soyinka to advocate for a national economic conference to ameliorate the situation.

(3) Non-inclusion of youths in governance as promised:

I am an APC sympathizer but the party has to accept its level of emptiness in the promises made during election campaign period. The Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo claimed no youth qualified for an appointment to Buhari's cabinet out of the over 64 million youths (age 15-35) Nigeria comprises of. This is laughable and it all bores down to a lack of an instituted structure or sketched plan to accommodate a youth like we have in the United Arab Emirates today.

(4) Blame Game:

Goodluck Jonathan has been blamed for the current strength of Boko Haram, unemployment, corruption, poor infrastructural facilities, fuel scarcity and even the recent outbreak of Lassa fever amongst others. The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed even reiterated that the APC wouldn't have stood a chance if Jonathan's administration was favourable to Nigerians. Invariably, Jonathan is being blamed for APC's victory at the centre. I want to use this juncture to remind the ruling party that government is a continuum. The past shouldn't be an impediment to the future and good leaders are made in tough times. The blame game is a subtle escape route for cluelessness. The Nigerian masses are hungry for results.

(5) Abduction of Chibok school girls:

The kidnap of over 230 Chibok school girls in Borno state during the Jonathan-led PDP administration was well capitalized on by the APC during the presidential election campaign period. I will not blame the APC government for its failure to rescue the girls as promised but President Muhammadu Buhari's statement of setting up a panel of inquiry for a fresh probe into the Chibok girls abduction after 6 months of his assumption of power while meeting with the #BringBackOurGirls campaign team and the parents of the victims in Aso Rock Villa, Abuja speaks volume of expertise in talking the talk and not walking the walk. APC did a good job with the criticisms on the abduction but nobody ever thought about proffering a solution to the recovery of the innocent girls.

(6) Failed promise on social security for unemployed youths:

The APC has spoken in different tongues on the N5, 000 palliatives for unemployed youths before Buhari recently cleared the air. Lai Mohammed did a wonderful job twisting the welfare package to benefit only the 'vulnerable' Nigerians. Who isn't vulnerable among the masses? Well, I was shocked when the State Minister for Labour and Employment, James Ocholi (R.I.P) stated there was no data available for the number of unemployed youth to operationalise the programme meaning it was a ruse all along.

(7) Job creation for Nigerians:

The increase in the level of unemployment and under-employment was one of the major reasons why most Nigerian youths joined the APC bandwagon as the party strongly expressed its commitment to provide jobs to boost the economic status of the people. Well, APC easily identified the problem without a tested measure to resolve it. This accounts for the anger of youths expressed via social media with various Twitter hashtags.
Lai Mohammed added salt to the injuries of people by claiming the party never promised to 'give jobs' but simply 'create jobs'. Isn't that tricky and smart of this current administration?

(cool Budget crisis:

That 2016 national budget was trailed by criticisms from the first day it was presented as it was an embodiment of misplaced priorities and lack of planning. Till date, there are mixed reports on the budgeting system. This prompted the eventual theft of the appropriation bill. It was later withdrawn officially and represented before we were ushered into the episode of 'budget padding'. With the national budget representing the plan which a state construction process follows, one would wonder if the APC ever thought of winning the highly heated 2015 presidential election.

(9) Lack of progress in the power sector:

The power sector is key to the economic development of Nigeria. With stable electricity supply, cost of production of companies will reduce, goods and services will become cheaper, entrepreneurs will emerge with small businesses of growth potentials due to the enabling ground, and life will be more comfortable for the people and other benefits. You will agree with me that there is no significant improvement in that sector since the emergence of the former Governor of Lagos state, Babatunde Raji Fashola as the Minister of Power, Works and Housing. Not even an act of body language from the minister who probably uses a generator to supply power in his own house. Fashola's 45% increment in electricity tariffs without focusing on the supply of power has defamed the APC. This is a mere show of guess work and eleventh hour rush.

(10) Buhari's passion for junketing:

In more 8 months, President Muhammadu Buhari has travelled to over 20 countries, jetting out about 25 times in the face of the cash crunch crippling Nigeria. This is an action he criticized the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo in the year 2003. Nigerians are yet to see the benefits of the expensive foreign trips even though China has pledged to invest $60 billion in Africa and the United Arab Emirates has pledged to assist in the repatriation of stolen funds stashed in the country. Buhari is desperately seeking for Foreign Direct Investment forgetting the fact that the development of infrastructural facilities is the key to attracting foreign investors and not wooing them with words.

Buhari's recent signing of Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) with Qatar to pave way for direct flights between major cities of both countries is highly questionable considering the fact that Qatar has delisted Nigeria from countries its giving visa for entry as they probably regard Nigerians as unfit for their country. This is just a few of terrible feedback that have leaked to the public.

Romance / Why You Should Patronize A 'Runs Girl': Top 10 Reasons by uche87(m): 4:11pm On Feb 06, 2016
Prostitutes (Runs Girls) in an African society are generally regarded as outcasts with every man hypocritically expressing disgust about them. All these men keep prostitutes as their dirty little secrets that should never be flaunted in the open but if the so-called men weren't patronizing, how are the s*x workers keeping up the trade? Questions for the gods!

Below are some great reasons why you should love a commercial s*x worker:
(1) You will never get hurt: Only a man with mental issues develops feelings for a call girl. Its strictly business and nobody gets hurts unlike a normal girl that engages in infidelity in hiding at the detriment of her partner.

(2) They don't lie: A prostitute may only be cunning with her service charge which fluctuates according to your status or your negotiation ability. A normal girl that just had s*x may lie to a timid man she is a virgin so also a lady with 10 boyfriends approximately will claim there is no one.

(3) Reduced risks of s*xually transmitted diseases: Most men don't realize its easier for them to contacts STDs from theirgirl friends compared to a s*x worker who will always insist on condoms due to distrust between both parties. Your girlfriend might be sleeping with two randy men doing several other women unprotected too and out of love you thrust in without cover.

(4) Optimum pleasure on bed: Prostitutes are professionals. This agrees with the saying that bad girls are fun to be with and the good ones are boring. Good girls don't like switching s*x positions and give heads but as for the other party, an improved fee can turn her into a monster for you. Have u heard of the acrobatic style? If no, then you are not paying well lol

(5) Timely service:
There are sometimes that you want s*x virtually immediately and can't wait for a second. Its either you place a call to your favourite girl or you drive down to her base. As soon as you are ready she is but your girlfriend maybe busy or at times not in the mood.

(6) Prostitution has reduced the menace of r*pe: Several men who can't control their libido like the fall of the oil price can find solace in some brothels that charge as low as N500 or N1000 for a round. No sane girl on your street will accept that minute amount from you unless she is below 10 years which is an abuse before the law.

(7) Prostitutes are neater down 'there' compared to normal ladies:
Call girls have grades anyway. Some ladies can be careless about the cleanliness of their v*gina and other parts of their bodies but a commercial s*x worker will never toil with her 'market' to give you a mouth-watering experience so that you can be back again in no time.

(cool Prostitutes are relatively cheaper than normal ladies:
Nigerian ladies want a lover and a 'father' who will buy the latest Brazilian hair brands, shoes, clothes, expensive phones, school fees, house-rent etc. A s*x worker will only collect her wages and leave. With time you maybe accrued to free service at least one in a while if your patronage is constant.

(9) Prostitutes don't coerce you into marriage: Nowadays some Nigerian ladies disturb a guy who is only sleeping with them with marriage assurances. They can't simply draw the line between pleasure and love. They initiate the proposal when the gentleman just wants to simply have fun. 'Sister Carol' will never do that. No feelings, just business.

(10) Prostitutes are unbelievable:
Once you have the purchasing power, you can storm any club and make selections like you are buying fairly-used clothes. You may desire it slim, fat , loaded in front or at the back of even moderate. You assume the status of the Don and they bow at your feet but there is the possibility of that normal lady with those specifics not wanting you despite your wealth if she is godly or hooked.
Politics / Common Lessons To Draw From The Missing 2016 National Budget by uche87(m): 9:50am On Jan 14, 2016
The news broke last week, 4th of January that the 2016 national budget presented by President Muhammadu Buhari to the National Assembly for ratification had been withdrawn by the president for possible adjustments. According to the report, the withdrawal was secretly done on the 22nd of December, 2015. With the intensity of criticisms that trailed the budget, Nigerians needed no soothsayer to confirm a withdrawal was imminent.

The obvious was later confirmed by the Majority Leader representing Borno state, Ali Ndume on Wednesday, 11th of January; that the budget was missing during a closed-door session with other lawmakers.

Again, this alleged theft of the 2016 national budget exposes some despicable cracks in the current administration and the revelations are listed below:

(1) The integrity of the Buhari-led administration is questionable:

The All Progressives Congress has a record of a barrage of lies and failed promises ranging from the denied plan to reduce price of petrol to N40 per litre, 3 million jobs for yearly for the youths, equation of the value of Naira with the Dollar, N5000 palliatives for the unemployed, technical defeat against Boko Haram, sectional anti-corruption war among others and to cap it all, the disgraceful disappearance of documents as vital as a country's budget from the senate with nobody taking responsibility. Nigerians are not as foolish as the leaders think.

It should be noted that there are constitutional means of applying for the withdrawal of the budget by the presidency from the National Assembly. I see a government trying hard to cover its mistakes at all costs.

(2) The budget was hastily prepared:

A document as important as the national budget of a country which will guide the performance of the heavily hyped Buhari's administration in the year 2016 was assumably prepared under a period of 6 weeks as a result of Buhari's lateness to appoint members of his cabinet which he did on the 11th of November, 2015 virtually 5 months after his inauguration. It is safe to admit the budget was produced through the approval of the Ministry of Budget and Planning which is headed by Senator Udo Udoma.

The national income in the budget was planned around the sale of crude oil for $38 dollars per barrel while the price has dropped below $35. This is a gamble due to the prediction by the International Monetary Fund, IMF that the price of oil will experience a massive free fall that may see it as low as $20 dollars in the nearest future. The N29 billion allocated to the agricultural sector compared to other massive allocations to other ministries that commanded a higher allocation reveals Buhari's stand on the development of agriculture despite his public statements about using the agricultural sector to create jobs for the teaming youths. What about the N3.6 billion vote for unspecified number of BMW saloon cars for principal officers? N362 million allocations for Wildlife preservation, N189.1 for the purchase of car tyres for the presidency among several others are depicting wastage of state resources.

(3) The Senate President, Bukola Saraki is a mere puppet to Buhari as he took the fall for the presidency on the missing budget:

If the reports of online news platform, SaharaReporters are to go by, Buhari withdrew the budget from the Senate to adjust the loopholes in it which were heavily criticised by political and economic analysts. Saraki boldly covered up for Buhari to impress him and expect a returned favour in the quashing of his case at the Code of Conduct Tribunal over a 13-count charge bordering on a false declaration of assets which was reportedly politically masterminded.

This is reasonable enough as the national budget is worthless to any lawmaker or private individual. Our public office holders may not be trusted with funds but documents are safe with them historically speaking.

(4) The political rivalry in Nigeria is unhealthy and detrimental to the development of Nigeria:

The alleged theft of the hard copies of the 2016 national budget hitting the headlines is no doubt a national disgrace. A country that can't secure rare documents as important as its budget at the senate level may not be trusted with the lives of over 170 million people. This may seem as a fallacy of hasty conclusion and unwarranted assumption but it’s just a simple logic. The principle of responsibility and accountability in Nigeria on the part of public office holders is long dead and buried.

The budget could have been covertly adjusted and for the reputation of the country among the members in the international community that are constantly gathering intelligence about other political actors in the ecosystem, the action could have been hidden. But the People's Democratic Party lawmakers celebrated it as if they just hit a milestone. One of the media representatives of the PDP, Deji Adeyanju was on Twitter making unguarded statements uncontrolled all through the night of the 12th of January when the case gained strong pronouncement. There is a major problem of loyalty in this country and political parties are regarded as greater than the country itself which is an anomaly.
As a seasoned journalist, I am of the opinion that the news of the dramatic disappearance of the budget is not for public consumption. It only led to comical memes on the social media.

(5) Is Buhari listening to his ministers?

Nigerian Pastor and political analyst, Femi Aribisala has heavily criticised Buhari for castigating his ministers which I felt assumed was another unfounded claim by a critic. The loopholes of the national budget with culminated in an embarrassing alleged withdrawal shows a frosty relationship between the president and his cabinet members. I don't want to believe the excesses of the budget like the N1.75 billion allocated for food for Aso Rock for the year 2016 which is over a 100% increase compared to the budget of former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on the same issue in 2015 which amounted to N530 million among others is that elusive to the great heads we have in the Federal Executive Council.

It would be recalled that Jonathan was nailed for by the opposition when the Aso Rock Villa food allocation stood at N1 billion in 2011. One wonders why the APC that represents 'change' is making the same mistake at even a costly hour. This is happening when the economy is dwindling and the budget will be sustained on massive borrowing of N1.88 trillion which spells doom on our debt profile which already stands at $60 billion. How can Buhari explain the essence of the N39 billion allocated to the Ministry of Information and Culture of Alhaji Lai Mohammed? Are 'lies' that expensive to peddle?
Buhari might be an anti-corruption specialist but with his response to economic issues at the maiden edition of the presidential media chat, he is far from it on economical analysis which is pardonable.

In conclusion, this shows someone wasn't consulting or listening to his cabinet if truly the president withdrew the budget as media giant, Premium Times insinuated.

(6) Lai Mohammed's capacity to speak for the Federal Government is again put to test:

A lot of readers will wonder why I am dragging the Information Minister into this issue but you will agree with me that part of the responsibilities of that office he occupies is to intimate the Nigerian people about the truth behind controversial issues like this to prevent them from being misled by propagandists. This may cause them to lose faith in the current administration. It would be recalled that when the biting crisis of fuel scarcity gradually started in November, 2015 from the Eastern part of Nigeria, Lai Mohammed was purposely quiet for over two weeks. What about the case of the missing 105 Nigerian soldiers fighting Boko Haram in the North-east? He kept mum and let critics like Femi Fani Kayode, PDP chieftain to have a field day with the rumours.

Again, on the issues of the missing 2016 National Budget that has led to insinuations that Buhari submitted an empty box to the National Assembly by the PDP media aide Deji Adeyanju which he claims about 22 PDP senators confirmed, Lai Mohammed is unusually ‘observing’. This is really sad. Nigerians need answers. We need an Information Minister that can carry us along and clear the air on controversial issues like this before degrading assumptions are made on the social media which has become too powerful and relevant in Nigerian politics.

Romance / Top 10 Ways Of Identifying A 'runs Girl' In Lagos by uche87(m): 9:32am On Jan 13, 2016
Lagos is a place where the struggle for limited resources is keen. All facilities are highly COMMERCIALIZED including love. Things are not always what they seem to be at the surface level, so there is a need for you to 'shine your eyes' before being caught buying the counterfeit.

These are top features of a Lagos prostitute who maybe trying hard to hide her identity to avoid stigma:

(1) Runs girls in Lagos are fond of heavy make-ups:

They are always desperate to create an impression wherever they go. This leads to obviously heavy and colourful make-ups that mayn't even rhyme at all. The 'foundation' could be so strong like she wants to erect a building on her face.

(2) Awkward piercings:

These set of ladies pierce their nose with rings attached. Their ears carry multiple piercings too. Some bold ones go as far as rocking nose rings to show how fashionable they are.

(3) They chew gum indecently:

The act of chewing gum is very paramount among full time prostitutes and 'aristos' seem to have mastered the act well and I wonder the rationale behind it.

(4) Breast display:

As goods are displayed on shelves in the shopping mall, so also the runs girls flash their 'selling points' I.e their area of strength for prospective buyers. They make sure you can a vivid look of what you are up against like the massive boobs, big bum and exposure of the flat tummy or waist.

(5) Tattoos:

In Nigeria today, most decent and well-cultured ladies don't draw tattoos. Most 'female marketers' are fond of conspicuous tattoos which are positioned at strategic points for you to feed your eyes on and they are always quite bold.

(6) Bleached skin:

A fair lady gets more attention and is easily noticeable than a dark one. Runs girls don't joke with bleaching. The skin is unnecessary white while the fingers, toes and knuckles stand out black with the intention to break away like Biafra.

(7) Runs girls in Lagos love expensive phones with busy lines:

When a lady's phone rings incessantly like she is a customer-care agent and you know she isn't selling anything; my guy, she is into 'E-commerce' like Jumia delivering the assumed and the social media is likely her booking office.

(cool When you keep calling her phone and introducing yourself severally:

Runs girls have several clients to deal with. They hardly store numbers until they are sure you have the will to do business. They easily lose track of the identity of their callers and you get poised to re-introduce yourself over and over again.

(9) If she disappears mysteriously like the 2016 national budget from the senate on Friday nights:

Friday nights are sacred nights in Lagos when the 'god of koboko' is worshiped by hardworking men that must have been engaged productively throughout the week. On a night like this, a hot runs girl must have been booked by the highest bidder; hence a dramatic disappearance until Saturday morning.

(10) She is a likely 'selling it' if she spends the entire day sleeping and heads out every night:

Runs girls in Lagos have opposite working schedules, they leave for work when others are returning, and go on recess when others are at work like 'Edo witches' (na joke oh).

Travel / Things That Could Make You Hate Lagos by uche87(m): 10:10am On Jan 11, 2016
Lagos state is a land of opportunities. It is the commercial capital of Nigeria with unofficially a population of 23 million people 'hustling' to have a bite of the good fortunes of the land. Lagos has a couple of adverse sides a newcomer will have to adapt to and live with.

Below are some common features I hate about Lagos state:

(1) Traffic:

Lagos is highly populated with thousands of people plying limited road networks to work early in the morning and also returning late in the evening. There have been several cases of people spending over 5hrs in traffic merely moving from Mainland to the Island in Lagos. This poses a huge challenge in the movement of goods and services.

(2) Cost of accommodation:

Rent in Lagos is very expensive. Most landlords will only rent their houses out if you are ready to pay a 2-year rent. You go through agents who will demand a large sum of money. The 'agreement fee' at times is much enough to rent a two bedroom flat in a cheap area like Ibadan.

(3) The girls:

After the stress of working in Lagos for the day, one would need expert hands to massage all the back pains. The girls in Lagos only understand the language of your pocket and not empty promises of love. Some ladies could demand for Buhari's head for the night.

(4) The beggars:

The beggars in Lagos come in different dimensions. Someone can appear smarter and more expensive than you in Lagos and still beg you for money. They constantly stop you with pitiful stories and faces. Ignoring them sometimes has a way of affecting one's conscience especially if you are the soft type.

(5) Incessant cases of traffic robbery:

I never knew traffic robbery was real until I came to Lagos. CMS, Mile 2, Ikorodu, Orile, Iyana Oba and several other areas have high records of traffic robbers who dispose commuters of their hard-earned belongings. Towards the yuletide, Linda's blog was reporting almost two cases of traffic robbery per day.

(6) Transport cost:

In Lagos people tend to draw a scale of preference on movement. Movement to work is mandatory while others can wait except too important due to the high cost of moving around. For this reasons, most friendships are relegated to online interactions and nothing more.

(7) Congestion:

Lagos is too congested with people. The town planning system of some areas like Satellite town in Amuwo Odofin, Mushin, Okokomaiko, Ajegunle, Oyingbo etc is very poor which affects the ventilation in houses. This could frustrate a newcomer especially when the weather is sunny.

(cool Churches:

A close study of some churches in Lagos has brought me to the conclusion that some preachings are directed at the congregation's pockets. The churches are always in need of one thing or the other. The speakers psyche you up to even drop what you don't have by faith.

(9) High level of oppression by the rich:

You need to see the cars driven by some people especially on the Island part of Lagos. It takes discipline for your long-term lover to say no to such men. The desperation of joining the wealthy class could push one to destruction. These people may not even work as hard as you do or even have the same educational qualifications with you.

(10) The level of hypocrisy in Lagos is epic:

That club girl that was dancing like a possessed person at the club on a Friday night with that skimpy cloth that puts her endowments on display maybe the sister leading the praise and worship session in a church on Sunday.

Everyone takes up different characters just to bring the money home and pay bills.

Celebrities / Top 10 Revelations From The Don Jazzy And Olamide Showdown At The Headies by uche87(m): 6:57am On Jan 03, 2016
The beauty of anger and outburst is that it has a way of purging an individual of hidden secrets and bitterness he has been nursing over time. Olamide's rants on Twitter about Mavin records producer, Don Jazzy speaks volume of a lot about the Bariga, Lagos born indigenous artiste.

Below are some top revelations deduced from the entire scenario:

(1) Olamide and Don Jazzy were never really friends:

Olamide and Don Jazzy could have recorded one hit song titled 'Skelemba' together but the relationship between the duo was a mere working relationship which is indicated in the despicable things Olamide said about Don Jazzy freely via the social media like he rehearsed for it.

(2) Olamide is of a highly questionable character:

Music they say comes from the soul and there is the high possibility of an artiste singing from the way he sees the society. Olamide has been known to be vulgar in his songs. He preaches violence, talks about indiscriminate sex, alcohol and weed. He portrayed the vivid picture on the Headies Award stage by using swear words in Yoruba language. He also allegedly destroyed the Headies green room and beat up a fan that hailed him at the event. This is not the image he wants his son, Miliano to take after.

(3) Don Jazzy may not be as good as we think he is in music productions:

Olamide alleged on Twitter that Don Jazzy has recruited some 'maids' who help him in cooking beats while he puts his name on it and claims the credit. It’s a pity he didn't go further on this interesting revelation. There is no smoke without fire and there is an element of truth in every rumour. Olamide must have exploited a crack in the Mavins dynasty to obtain that rare information. Don Jazzy will expectedly tidy up loose ends in order not to tarnish his brilliant resume.

(4) Don Jazzy's humility on the social media might be a publicity stunt:

Olamide accused Don Jazzy of giving unprecedented support to one comical fellow or presumably an artiste named Vic O who has recorded some of the worst songs in the history of Nigerian entertainment like his Adele's Hello cover. According to the YBNL boss, Don Jazzy was only following Twitter trends to maintain recognition on the social media.

(5) Olamide's reference to Don Jazzy's alleged ill-treatment of former colleague, Dbanj shows the 'pounded yam' of 10 years may still be steaming:

Olamide accused Don Jazzy of 'killing Dbanj with packaging' which sounds connotative. He also claimed Dbanj who is older than the producer named him 'the Don' out of respect while they worked together. This according to Olamide is some sort of respect Don Jazzy doesn't deserve.

(6) Olamide lobbied to feature Mavin female artiste, Di'ja on a song but Don Jazzy sabotaged the collaboration:

This is another sign of a strained relationship between Don Jazzy and Olamide as the request to feature Di'ja could have been thwarted by her boss due to his apathy for Olamide's songs and probably that of his crew members.

(7) Olamide seems to be in control of some Lagos miscreants:

Olamide who claims to represent the street has vowed to attack Don Jazzy if he visits the Mainland part of Lagos where he is based and dominates with his people as against Don Jazzy who stays on the Island. This reminds me of the bitter rivalries in Nigerian politics.

(cool Wande Coals seems impressed with Olamide for attacking his former boss, Don Jazzy:

Former Don Jazzy's Mo'hits singer, Wande Coal went on Twitter and laughed at the whole trending drama by typing 'LOL' after which he followed Olamide on Twitter. On a day like that, out of vigilance, it’s safe to say he supported Olamide against Don Jazzy due to some reservations.

(9) The weakness or conspiracy of the Headies Awards Committee has been exposed:

Many social media users felt the award should have gone to Kiss Daniel with his monster hit titled 'Woju' and 'Laye' which were like the MTV anthem. Lil Kesh is more popular than Reekado Banks. So what happened? Maybe the streets which the YBNL crew represents don’t use the internet or vote. They only support by listening.

(10) Don Jazzy's maturity and composure after Olamide's painful verbal assaults against him on Twitter shows how deep he regards his image in the Nigerian society.

This has a close similarity to that of the altercation between the former Minister of Niger Delta affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe and the former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Professor Attahiru Jega during the announcement of the presidential elections results.

The way Di'ja showed excitement at the way Don Jazzy called out Olamide on the stage speaks volume of the childishness in her which she needs to get over in order to lead her fans productively.

Additionally, it also depicts a clash of interests and priorities between Olamide and Don Jazzy. Don Jazzy felt it was all about the Hyundai car award while Olamide was infuriated as he was fighting for the alleged robbed honour of Lil Kesh, his artiste.

Politics / Shiite Muslims Massacre: Questions For The Nigerian Army by uche87(m): 9:54am On Dec 16, 2015
On the 27th of November, the news broke that a suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber attacked crowds at a Shi'a (Shiite) Muslim procession numbering thousands near the north Nigerian city of Kano, in the latest violence to hit the troubled region.

The attack happened in the village of Dakasoye, some 20 kilometres (13 miles) south of the city, during a march by followers of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria. This led to the death of approximately 22 members of the sect with about 60 others critically injured.

The following day, a new twist to the suicide attack emerged from the leadership of the Shiite sect led by Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky which stated that the attack was not orchestrated by Boko Haram members but another warring party.

In his words:

"We know the names of the contractors and those contracted to commit the massacre. Their identity is not hidden from us. Therefore we cowed by an imaginary Boko Haram tale. Let them tell it to the fools and ignorant."

"They should know that they are dealing with those with foresight, wisdom and intelligence and above all with the real religion."

The group stated the perpetrators were known to them and the tone of the revelation was like a drum sound of war.

As a Nigerian, I was disturbed by the insinuations. It was obvious a feud was brewing with other parties. My instant fear was the existence of another deadly terrorist sect aside Boko Haram which has claimed the lives of an average of 17,000 Nigerians since 2009 and displaced about 2.6 million others. It was obvious the incident was set to give birth to another bloody occurrence but my premonitions were simply subjective.

On Saturday, 13th of December 2015; the online news media shifted from the Sambo Dasuki armsgate after weeks of reportage to an alleged clash between the Shiite Muslims and the Nigerian troops in Zaria, Kaduna. The Shiite Muslims were reported to have made a failed assassination attempt on the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General, Tukur Yusuf Buratai. This led to a gun duel between the Nigerian troops and the civilian sect. Incidentally, blood started flowing like a river.

The death toll started rising dramatically according to wide media reports from 6 to 10 and then 20 to 30. Highly controversial online news platform, SaharaReporters was quick to put the death toll at 100 and yesterday, Tuesday, 15th of December, Channels Television put the figure at 60. Other media platforms put the death toll at 200 and 1000. What a holocaust!

This attack is a sensitive issue which shares a historical resemblance with the growth of the Boko Haram sect (making reference to the death of the late leader of the sect, Mohammed Yusuf under questionable circumstances) which has become a plague we may end up living with for many years to come in Nigeria.

Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai was interviewed and I was expecting a vivid account of the ill-fated incident only for him to claim the members of the Shiite Muslims barricaded the main road outside their prayer centre and prevented his entourage from going to their destination.

All means of appeal to the resistant Shiite faithfuls which were numbered about 500 reportedly failed. They got violent and an attack ensued. Buratai then referred us to the video clip recorded by the National Television Authority, NTA, for details, and the footage is yet to be released for unknown reasons. Buratai attributed his survival to an act of God. Again, details of how God did it remains undisclosed.

An unconfirmed report from the military police said some Shiites were crawling through tall grasses towards Gen. Tukur Buratai’s vehicle “with the intent to attack the vehicle with (a) petrol bomb” while others “suddenly resorted to firing gunshots from the direction of the mosque.”

Another conflicting account from one Ojo Momodu, an eyewitness claimed the Shiite faithfuls barricaded the road with burning tyres and stoned the vehicle of the Chief of Staff. This seems like a trivial case of a battle for influence, a blood bath would have been averted if viable crisis control mechanisms were employed by the military that are expected to know better.

A similar occurrence took place on the 22nd of January, 2015 in Bauchi state during the presidential campaign involving former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan. Some thugs who converged at the Ibrahim Babangida Square, venue of the event, hurled shoes, plastic water bottles and other objects at the canopy where the president and members of his campaign team were delivering their speeches with soldiers on ground. Jonathan didn't exercise his powers as the Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian army; no obnoxious orders were given and the incident was perfectly managed.

Another related incident also took place involving Jonathan in Katsina. Even at the international scene, United States of America's former President, George W. Bush during his first inauguration as the 43rd President of the United States of America had his fair share of an attack on January 20, 2001 in Washington DC. He had his limousine and his convoy pelted with eggs including a tennis ball by angry Americans who believed he stole his mandate; he ate the humble pie and bowed out of the scene gracefully with no record of a reprisal except the arrest of four protesters by security operatives.

Let it be clear that I am not making any insinuations or taking sides. I am just weighing the roots of the mayhem and how it could have been ameliorated rather than putting Nigeria in the headline for another barbaric cause.

Anyway, here are my questions for the Nigerian Army:

Were the soldiers really engaged in a gun duel with the members of the Shiite sect as claimed in the media?

If yes, the Nigerian military should provide the arms and ammunition employed by the sect during the attack as the Army have always done when displaying their victorious pictures against members of the Boko Haram sect or else this action will paint a perfect image of a holocaust against the Shiite Muslims.

Secondly, the fatality of the attacks leading to the death of about 100 members or more of the sect must have been sparked by a provocative action by a Shiite member or members like a serious injury on a Nigerian soldier, death or damage of their vehicles; Is there any casualty the military has to show as evidence?

Were there no better means of crisis management to be employed by the Nigerian soldiers than to brutally open fire on the Shiite Muslims leading to that magnitude of death rate?

We have heard of tear gas, rubber bullets, pepper sprays, shooting of the legs of the civilians under extreme cases; how come highly trained troops assigned to protect the lives of someone of the calibre Chief of Army Staff ran out of options than to open fire on the hapless civilians?

Why did the military abandon the corpses of the dead Shiite members on the street and later return for them after their bodies were heavily looted and dishonoured by unscrupulous people as shown in the viral video?

Why is NTA yet to release the video footage of the violent attack which involved the pelting of stones and sticks for analysis and investigations?

Does this confirm an organised cover up of the truth behind this incident if there is anything fishy whatsoever?

Why did the Nigerian troops go after the leader of the Shiite Muslims, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky who was badly injured with an alleged gunshot wound as shown in the viral photo on the internet depicting he was manhandled by security operatives?

This question is necessitated by a conversation the Shiite leader had with another Shiite member in Iran who called to confirm the incident. The audio copy of the call has gone viral on the social media. Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky was heard telling the Iranian that his house was under siege by the Nigerian troops and the numbers of death couldn't be ascertained.

He sounded helpless and seemed to be hiding from his death after which he was picked up by soldiers and kept in a 'protective facility' with his wife.

What was the motive behind the release of the graphic image of the Shiite leader?

It is safe to say the photo was taken by a military operative. The pitiable state of the Shiite leader was provocative enough to inspire a sympathiser to violence. This accounts for the reason why the United States of America till date failed to release photos of the dead body of the perpetrator of the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade centre, Osama Bin Laden.

There are reports that the Nigerian military demolished the worship centres of the Shiites in Zaria, Kaduna including some part of their leader's house. If true, what was the rationale behind that harsh action which smells of a personal vendetta against the Islamic sect of 37 years?

Is this bloody attack a manifestation of the rumoured cold war between the Shiite sect and the Nigerian Military in the past which prompted the sect to emphasize that it is not a terrorist group?

Sheik Ibrahim El-Zakzaky is an educated and well travelled man who event went as far as appealing to his followers to remain calm in a telephone interview with SaharaReporters during which he tearfully revealed the alleged murder of his sons who were Engineering students in China. Is it possible for such an assassination attempt to take place under the auspices of such a leader knowing fully well the consequences of bringing a knife to a gun fight?

These are a few of the several questions the Defence Headquarters have to find answers to in order to prevent the development of another terrorist sect which Nigeria cannot afford in the interest of peace and the dwindling economic conditions

The predicted consequences of the massacre may go as far as affecting the diplomatic relations between Nigerian and Iran which has the highest number of Shiite Muslims in the world. Iran is keenly interested in the case. The Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif has reacted to the controversy by summoning Nigeria's foreign envoy, Geoffrey Onyeama for an insight into the ill-fated incident. Some Muslims also staged a protest at the Nigerian embassy in Iran as well as the Indian capital.

Some Shiite Muslims protested in Kaduna yesterday which reportedly led to an attack on the police leading to the death of 3 other members of the sect which security operatives denied. We have too much on our plate as a country already. We are battling the issue of Boko Haram insurgency, Biafra agitations which are waxing stronger daily, plummeting fall of oil price, youth unemployment, fall in the value of Naira, the incurable cancer of corruption and so on. I hope this doesn't lead another case of Shiite insurgency as widely speculated.

Strong investigations should be launched by the National Human Rights Commission, NHRC so that justice could be done if needed to prevent the future occurrence of such a barbaric event.

God bless Nigeria!

Romance / Top 10 Common Ways Nigerian Ladies Indirectly Demand For Money After S*x by uche87(m): 10:18am On Dec 08, 2015
Due to the over 60% rate of unemployment in the country, love and romantic relationships have become a medium for siphoning money from guys by the ladies; After all, S*x isn't free, you either pay directly or indirectly in cash or kind.

Below are the common lies the ladies tell their boyfriends/lovers to easily extort money from him as a reward for a pleasurable service:

(1) I want to make my hair:

This has become a common trend among the young folks since the advent of the Brazilian hair that is costly enough to start a viable business to improve Nigeria's economy.

(2) Transport fare:
It’s difficult for most ladies to demand for money from their lovers after a s*xual encounter so as not to feel like prostitutes. So the escape route is to tell him you want to chatter a cab home which is more expensive than the normal public transport.

(3) Misplaced or faulty mobile phone:

Most Nigerian girls are not contented with their current Smart phones even when theirs could be better than yours. With phones in the class of Iphone 6 and others, she could collect her bride price indirectly from you.

(4) Pregnancy:
This is an effective trap for men that die for unprotected s*x. Smart ladies constantly use it to extort money from their boyfriends under the guise of abortion.

(5) Capital for business:

I must confess virtually all the Nigerian ladies are potential entrepreneurs who tender diverse business proposals off hand spontaneously which they will never actualize when you give them the funds. It’s a means of furnishing her wardrobe indirectly.

(6) Birthday:
Some ladies have different birthdays to the extent that they have become confused about their actual date of birth. Once they meet you, they draw the birth date nearer all in a bid to get money from you. This is a very smart way of obtaining money from a sugar daddy on a mega scale.

(7) Final year project funds or school fees:

Some desperate ladies who have never seen the four walls of a higher institution in their lives will demand for school fees or money for their long essays which kind-hearted men easily fall for.

(cool Valentine's Day or other festive events:

Val's day is like a day of reckoning for randy guys as the ladies will traditionally be expecting gifts at all costs like it’s their inheritance or bride price so far she is doing you well on bed.
Some ladies even demand for gifts from their boyfriends on Christmas day which is the birth of Christ.

(9) Health issues:

Nigerian girls use this as a means of attending to minor financial issues like shoes for a party, Aso Ebi for their friend's wedding as a man that fails to pay is deemed heartless and could be permanently cut off.

(10) House rent:

This is the last straw that could break the camel's back especially in a place like Lagos where rents are high. It’s a common lie among 'big girls' who direct it at their sugar daddies. This leads to big hit when it clicks.

Romance / Top 10 Signs He Is Only Keeping You For Sex by uche87(m): 3:48pm On Nov 30, 2015
Relationships could be so complicated especially when the exchange of love and affection is not balanced. There have been cases of several ladies being used as instruments of pleasure in romantic relationships they believe could lead to marriage.

Below are some top signs that your partner is only using you without any futuristic plans:

(1) He only calls you on phone whenever he is Hot: This kind of relationship is strictly based on business. He calls you to talk dirty and to satisfy his sexual fantasies. He insists you show up at his place immediately for s*x after which he goes cold for a while.

(2) He is always reluctant to discuss personal problems with you: Men naturally will only share their problems with who they have feelings for as well as trust in. No man goes to a brothel to discuss issues aside s*x and its immediate action.

(3) He maintains coldness with you on the social media and stays off anything related to you:
When a man truly loves a woman, he flaunts her everywhere he goes like a prestigious award especially when she is cute in order to gain the respect of his friends. When its strictly sex, he keeps the girl as his dark secret. Under no circumstance will her picture find his way to his Facebook, BBM or Whatsapp.

(4) Constant demand for unclad photos: No serious man with good intentions does this. A guy using you will demand for your n*de photos and later show his friends to brag about his social status and sexual prowess.

(5) Lack of public appearances:
His business with you is in the bedroom. He will not want to be seen with you in public to prevent the sexual relationship from getting to the knowledge of the general public.

(6) Minimal conversations: Communication is key for the development of strong relationships that could lead to marriage. When all he does is head for ur panties and other sensitive body parts shortly after your arrival in his house, then there is a looming crisis.

(7) He doesn't want to meet your family members: when its strictly s*x with no plans for the future, definitely there is no need to associate with lady's family members to prevent unnecessary social ties.

(cool He flares up when you talk about marriage: This is simply because he doesn't see the image of a wife in you.

(9) When he frequently uses s*x enhancing drugs like Viagra:
The truth is that these drugs turn the men into beasts and they end up hurting the woman. This takes off the pleasure of sex and turns it to torture.

(10) He shows up at your place once in a blue moon and keeps other girls: If he loves you truly, his heart will be wherever you are as his treasured asset, but because you are a mere option, he visits you only when his schedule isn't tight.

I hope these signs guide you from barking the wrong tree. Time is precious. Don't waste it on people that don't care.

Politics / When Buhari Seeks The Hand Of 'patience' In Marriage by uche87(m): 11:05am On Nov 30, 2015
The caption of this piece has a metaphorical expression which is very much on purpose. Sit back and permit me to relate it with the state of affairs in Nigeria. Politics in Nigeria is as uncertain and disappointing as the casual romantic relationships among youths. The Nigerian masses since independence on the 1st of October 1960 have been falling flat for the same old method of aligning with politicians and being left with broken hearts taking eternity to heal at the expense of the country's treasury. Our politicians have always assumed the role of Shylock, offering the masses loans their lives will never be enough to pay back. This is evident in the material tips shared during the electioneering campaign period to win votes. It has conventionally been a case of winners and losers.

In the real sense, the losers are not the political candidates of the contesting political parties. The losers are the electorates who blindly celebrate with the winner they are looking up to for leadership. This maybe a bitter pill to swallow but it only takes the candidate's assumption of office before the blind masses begin to see the future from a crystal ball like wizards. Making reference to the article of the former adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Media and publicity, Reuben Abati, politics is seen in Nigeria from a business point of view.

Making the decision to run for a political post is the 'entrepreneurial idea', joining the happening political party to start the business is like securing a location to erect your office and getting sponsors to finance the business is the road-map to success so as to develop a wide channel to spread lies. In Nigeria, the best liar ends up winning and I can authoritatively say when Garba Shehu, the Assistant Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Muhammadu Buhari called Lai (Lie) Mohammed, former Publicity secretary of the ruling party and Minister of Information, the 'Master of the Game' of the All Progressives Congress, APC during the inauguration of the Ministers of the Federal Republic, he was only being truthful but as usual, the shallow-minded masses laughed it off like it was a joke for them. When the masses buy your lies, you have an edge, you present yourself as the messiah, you study the weaknesses of your opponents and begin to defame him. Nigeria is a country when the politics of character assassination is practiced at its peak and issue-based debates are strayed away from.

Spreading of falsehood about your opponents could also be advantageous. Maybe one day, when Lie Mohammed clocks 80 and is set to write his memoir truthfully like Bode George, the People's Democratic Party, PDP chieftain plans to do, he will educate us more on the efficacy of propaganda which he successfully used to send our dear former President Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan back to the flood-prone hometown in Otueke, Bayelsa state. Again the masses celebrated his exit. One woman who operates a big food canteen around the busy area of Challenge in Ibadan, Oyo state actually gave her food and drinks out for free on the day Goodluck Jonathan made that epic call to Buhari in concession of loss on the 31st of March, 2015. Till date, the woman is gnashing her teeth over that reckless decision as the only 'change' she has seen is the retrogressive one rather than progressive.

In fairness, there has been a 'change', the problem lies with the electorates who didn't understand the full contents of Buhari's change mantra which he is indirectly unveiling to us. Many who are secretly wailing will come out in the media to say its a positive change for fear of not sounding like a Femi Fani Kayode that has switched more sides in politics than a call girl. At least for the first time in 1999, Nigerians are getting poorer according to the Business Day newspaper and the Boko Haram insurgency has come to live with us like the female anopheles mosquito, giving us malaria since inception.

Now, as for President Muhammadu Buhari seeking the hands of 'Patience' in marriage, the word 'patience' purposely sounds like the name of a person but in this context it’s a mere noun that entails ''the capacity to calmly endure pains and uncertainties'' The only patience that strikes the mind of every Nigerian is the former First lady, Patience Faka Jonathan, the comical leader who entertained us with her impeccable sense of humour as a distraction while her husband allegedly looted the treasury for his unborn generation. Diariz god oh!

Buhari who has heavily been neglected over the years as he kept contesting since 2003 unsuccessfully like the presidential seat was his inheritance had a field day during the election campaign period. His campaign promises which many call lies on the social media were well strategized.
The APC intelligently presented him as a poor man as the masses started seeing the image of themselves in him. It was thought that people of the same class will understand each other’s languages better. Hence, the need to present a cattle rearer that cherishes a mud house in this jet age. What a calculated move to sway the electorates!

The key points of Buhari's speeches were Boko Haram insurgency, youth unemployment, ailing economy, poverty etc and ultimately 'Kwaraption' (corruption according to his northern accent). It’s possible Buhari really had the intentions but truthfully, there was no road-map to execute his agenda and the first indication is how it took him about 6 months to inaugurate his cabinet which smells of the politics of prebendalism.

Africans historically have an undue obsession with power e.g the 91-year old Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe who is planning to rule from a special wheelchair. Paul Biya of Cameroon has been ruling for 33 years, Dos Santos of Angola has clocked 36 years in power, Idris Deby of Chad has been ruling for 25 years amongst several other sit-tight leaders without an idea of how to advance the general will of the people with their power and authority. These set of people will never give room for innovation and fresh ideas from the positive energy from youths in the ever advancing world. They only engage in the recycling of old ideas of stagnancy in growth and development.

It was heart-soothing to hear Buhari speak as he toured Nigeria after he has seen life from the perspective of the north for decades. Buhari enjoyed the wet ground which was watered by Lie Mohammed, sorry I meant Lai Mohammed, (They seem the same anyway). Jonathan's widely believed below average performance gave a loophole to penetrate the hearts of his loyalists that for the first time, Nigerians pocketed some money from PDP and refused to give them their support in return. The victims of political scam started tormenting the culprits for the first time in the Nigerian history. People like Raymond Dopkesi, boss of the African Independent Television, AIT and Musiliu Obanikoro who were prominent front-liners in the campaign of Jonathan's re-election saw the bleak future from afar. According to Bode George who took a jab at Obanikoro that is currently observing the Nigerian drama from diaspora, Obanikoro and some other PDP chieftains embezzled the election funds needed to win supporters for Jonathan. I don't know how true this is. Probably, if you meet Bode George in your dreams, you can make inquiries. I am sure Obanikoro decided to cut his losses to avoid losing in both ways which would have been fatal. Nigerians were actually set to vote for Buhari despite him presenting a 'NEPA bill' as his certificate which is like a ghost we all talk about but no one has ever seen till date.

As an observer, I got a glimpse of Buhari's slow start as a president during the campaign period when the social media was awash with memes of Buhari claiming he will 'stabilize the global oil price' like he is OPEC, Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. Buhari was fortunate there was no video footage to back it up like his goofs on the full meaning of INEC, name of his running mate, Prof Yemi Osinbajo and his political party for crying out loud.

The reality of events is that Nigerians are looking up to Buhari to whom much has been given due to his firm campaign promises. He is seen as the torch-bearer poised to lead Nigeria out of the dark cave of the 16-year captivity of the PDP while Buhari himself looks up to the people behind him for direction. Hence, the need to 'Go slow' to avoid falling into the nearest potholes created by unscrupulous contractors and their political cohorts.

Its crystal clear Buhari felt leadership was as easy as making criticisms until Jonathan gave him the keys and the particulars of the 'wrecked vehicle' called Nigeria. Now, Buhari who used to be seen as the African Merlin is begging for 'Patience' like he is not satisfied with Aisha Buhari, his wife. The only 'patience' we Nigerians know is the former first lady from Port Harcourt whom we miss dearly and we are not accepting Buhari's proposal as she belongs to Jonathan. Therefore, on the denial of his marriage proposal, Buhari is urged to 'Go Fast'.

I am a strong supporter of Buhari but the truth must be told. Anybody that believes Buhari has brought a significant change must be a relative or beneficiary of the political appointees. Most of the appointees can be likened to shareholders that made huge investments with business risks and are currently reaping e.g. the Minister of Transport Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi who unceremoniously became the highlight of the ministerial screening process at the senate.

According to the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Charles Soludo, he stated during the third anniversary lecture of the RealMagazine news that we should support Buhari to succeed by contributing when we can and criticizing when we must which he described as 'tough love'. It may be too early to judge but I see the same old Nigeria of media talks and no actions. Its on record that the only time Buhari made the swiftest counter-action was on the alleged victimization of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki over a personal vendetta disguised with the law. I wish the president could channel that positive energy to the capture of the infamous leader of the Boko Haram sect Abubakar Shekau who orchestrated the rumoured killing of the 105 Nigerian soldiers and 34 later in Borno if the words of Femi Fani Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation are to be followed for once BUT with caution.

Last time I checked the news media, Boko Haram is still killing (maybe in a reduced form but lives are still being lost), the unemployment rate is still above 60% with an demeaning N5, 000 palliative underway, crime rate has been on the increase with calculated bank robberies across Nigeria and Lagos being the worst hit, kidnapping seems to be vastly replacing a career in the oil sector due to its lucrative nature (The current bank account balance of the U-23 national team coach, Samson Siasia will give you a vivid insight as his abducted mother wasn't released on a platter of gold), power issues are still the same with Buhari giving the same excuses of sabotage of the Jonathan administration, the queues at the filling stations have refused to disappear despite how Buhari and the APC smoothly criticized the fuel crisis of the Jonathan-led government, (The most painful aspect is the difficulty the senate is having summon Buhari who is deputizing as the Petroleum Minister. At least Buhari should appear for accountability and responsibility sake) and many other issues.

As I write this piece, I am struggling with the low battery on my laptop in utter darkness coupled with the scorching heat of the season and mosquitoes providing unprecedented cover for me like the operatives of the Directorate of State Security, DSS while my president is busy junketing with tax payers' money. I am patiently waiting for the benefits of the image he is building for Nigeria in the international scene as advocated by Shehu Garba who is only doing his job well.

The way Buhari is fighting the anti-corruption war in the media rather than in the court is mockingly admirable. I appreciate the way Ayo Fayose, the governor of Ekiti actually challenged him to publish the names of the looters in Jonathan's regime who have been secretly returning their loots as Buhari claimed. Buhari may have reduced the cost of governance by merging some ministries, cutting the size of his entourage at international events as well as the cost of the Independence day ceremony compared to the Jonathan administration but his alleged cost of maintaining his presidential jets in 6 months which amounts to N5.8 billion according to the Punch still shows a loophole for the wastage of funds.

Furthermore, his inability to look into the N25 billion REMITTA and Systemspecs scandal still makes no changes.

The silence of the APC amidst the biting crisis of fuel scarcity before their Twitter message only showed a lack of valid explanation. And again, Lie Mohammed's unusual silence confirmed how lame he could be aside propaganda as many believe.

Fellow Nigerians, this is certainly not the CHANGE we voted for. Let's offer Buhari 'patience' if that's the boost he needs to take us to the Promised Land.

Politics / Biafra: Open Letter To The Igbo Nation by uche87(m): 10:41am On Nov 09, 2015
Dear Igbos,

I hope my article meets you people well as you go about your daily businesses. The Igbos are highly industrious people who have risen from diverse humble backgrounds to the zenith. I was opportuned to watch the interview of the owner of Nigerian car distribution company, Coscharis in the person of Dr. Cosmas Maduka on Channels Television, who is an Easterner and I said to myself, Igbos are blessed people instituting financial breakthroughs in spite of the economical hardships and limitations Nigeria is faced with. This is just one of several inspirational stories of Igbo people who have broken the chains of generational poverty to a life of affluence. I am from the South-South part of Nigeria, Edo state to be specific but I grew up in Ibadan, South-West dominated by Yorubas. I must confess I never really liked the Igbos but as fate will have it, my boss is Igbo and several of my colleagues. Every day, I study the Igbos around me and the kind of vision they carry baffles me. I believe God anointed their hands to succeed in businesses. An Igbo man's entrepreneurial skills are in-born, he mayn't be able to read nor right, but his practical analysis of business strategies and ideas could beat a scholar in business studies with several postgraduate degrees.

An average Igbo man loves the good provisions of life. He wants to make money and live life to the fullest. In making money, there should be an enabling ground for his business to strive well which ranges from adequate security of lives and properties, loan facilities, favourable government policies E.t.c. Even in the face of inadequate social amenities to boost business growth and development, the Igbos have survived. The Igbos have spread across all the nooks and crannies of Nigeria as well as the world as a whole in a quest to exploit business opportunities. They have recorded massive successes that betray the capabilities of their academic qualifications.

Today, the advocacy of Biafra movement is an aberration to what the Igbos stand for. Biafra maybe called a 'movement' which I agree with but it’s more retrogressive than progressive. I shed tears when I read news about Pro-Biafra activists being killed or maimed under highly controversial circumstances by security operatives like the way the Niger Bridge linking Anambra and Delta states was shut down on the 6th of November during a 'one million man March’ It confirms the bible passage in the book of Hosea chapter 4 verse 6 that says ''My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge''

I have to be blunt to align with a recent statement by Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, the National President of the Youth wing of the Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohaneze Youth Council that the Igbo nation will incur irreparable losses from seceding from our great country, Nigeria.

Going by the words of SALLUST, ''By union the smallest states strive. By discord the greatest are destroyed'' And also, in the words of the former American President, Woodrow Wilson, We cannot be separated in interest or divided in purpose. We stand together until the end.

The chants of Biafra are only a reflection of how soon we have covered the indelible scars of the painful civil war of 1967 to 1970 with make-ups and beautiful clothes. Over two million beloved Nigerians from the Eastern part of Nigeria died as a result disease and hunger instigated by the blockade of food supplies by the Nigerian Army. What about the 5,000 Nigerian soldiers that were injured, captured and annihilated while making attempts to cross the River Niger from the town of Asaba to the Biafran city of Onitsha which is just one of the many fatal damages incurred in several gun duels between the Biafran soldiers and their Nigerian counterparts. A lot of rape cases, destruction of properties and huge waste of governmental funds in the purchase of military weapons to defend the territorial integrity of Nigeria were recorded. Today, the underlying factors of the war and the activities of leaders representing major tribes like Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo who was a Federal Commissioner for Finance in 1967 to 1971 and the then military Head of state, Yabuku Gowon has caused a discord which is being directly or indirectly passed from one generation to another. This has divided us, giving us different identities as different nationalities in the same country. Over ambitious leaders have sold goods and services of discord to us under the guise of fighting for our interests.

I started following up on the Radio Biafra Director, Nnamdi Kanu inciting violence and spreading hate messages to secure the secession of our hallowed Igbo brothers and sisters. It will stun you that the so-called Radio Biafra was registered in the United Kingdom as a company by the revolutionist, Nnamdi Kanu and he has been sourcing for funds from well meaning Igbos and other sympathizers which is diverted for this private use. This rare information was revealed by his former Public Relation Officer and supposed ex girlfriend, Chioma Amaryllis who took the pains of visiting Nigeria to ascertain the claims of Nnamdi Kanu only to discover, his freedom movement was more of an idea of a 'personal' financial freedom as an innovation Igbo man seeking recognition. Nnamdi Kanu was captured on camera speaking at an influential gathering, making demands for arms and ammunition to force a break away from our beloved nation, Nigeria.

Nnamdi Kanu who to some myopic people is towing the line of the late South African leader and legend, Nelson Mandela by making a walk from prison to greatness was discovered to have been raising a private army which flaunted guns and other dangerous weapons in readiness for the backward movement called Biafra. That is treason and it attracts a death penalty as the 1999 constitution stipulates. The Rwandan genocide of 1994 which claimed 800,000 lives officially with thousands still missing till date was ignited by the same power tussle between the Hutu and the Tutsi. The bloody occurrence later unveiled the bestial nature of men which is typical of life in a state of nature when there were no laws as Thomas Hobbes described.

Making reference to the words of the late Andrew Owoye Azazi who was the former National Security Adviser to former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Boko Haram insurgence grew out of the political disparities among the factions in the People's Democratic Parties as some faceless Northern elements were aggrieved by their lack of control of power. Today, the fire of Boko Haram insurgency has been fiercely burning for 6 years claiming the lives of over 17, 000 Nigerians, over 2.5 million people displaced, massive destruction of properties, the growth of several Internally Displaced People's camps with malnourished children whose formal educational life have been distorted. We don't even need to make reference to the disruption of economic activities; discouragement of foreign investors through the negative reputation Boko Haram has earned us as well as the wastage of developmental funds that would have been used to develop several areas of the ailing economy. Nnamdi Kanu was on the road to create another Boko Haram force for Nigeria at a different location with several light-skinned fighters. It beats my imagination how an activist who is living in the comfort of his home in Europe or America without a prior taste of hardship or a practical experience of the plight of his people will become their voice. What happened to the concept of participant observation method as a tool of research?

These so-called activists nurse mischief in their hearts and publicize them. Their immediate victims are the rugged people due to their shallow state of mind. They are mostly some technicians, Motor park touts, Mechanics, Carpenters, Artisans, criminals looking for opportunities to unleash mayhem, unemployed youths who are nursing different levels of anger against the government of the day. So they take to the streets to block busy roads. At the end of protests, the news changes from activism to incidents of rape, missing phones, jewelries, innocent people being stabbed and the perceived-wealthy class subsequently attacked to show you the nature of the protesters.

Nnamdi Kanu attempted or started a race he can't finish. Nnamdi Kanu spread hate messages and failed to show us a road-map on how the Igbo nation can stand economically as a nation and guarantee the well being of its citizens. He was trying to cut a suckling baby from his mother without any provision of nutrition for the toddler. It was easy for President Muhammadu Buhari to criticise the former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan during the presidential campaign period but on assumption of office, he was nicknamed 'Baba Go Slow' by his supporters due to his snail pace of development. This affirms the statement that 'uneasy lies the head that wears the crown'
Now Buhari is begging Nigerians for 'patience' like he wants to woo the former First Lady from Rivers state. This is the reality behind inordinate ambition and quests for power without proper planning or a vision.

As far as I am concerned, the present day agitation for the Biafra movement is what I regard as Biafra. It is clouded by selfish interests. When the 'national cake' is being shared freely in equity, our leaders will flaunt their Nigerian identities the way Nigerian entertainers flaunt their fake wealth on Instagram but dramatically, when an individual or certain individuals are short-changed in the power or resources sharing process, he uses ethnicity as a tool to brainwash people who are unaware of the underlying factors of his agitations and that is the ill-treatment politicians have put us through in the past. They school their children abroad with those ones making first class degrees at top universities across the world, while they equip the children of the common men with weapons and use them for mayhem after buying their loyalties with cheap stipends some may never live to spend. At their retirement from power through old age, they will initiate the return of their wards who will address the general public in queens English, foreign accent and wealth of knowledge that will appeal to the minds of the masses who lack exposure due to financial limitations.

On this note, I subscribe to the views of Senator Shehu Sani from Kaduna Central senatorial district in Kaduna state who reiterated that the Biafra movement is an initiative by the supporters of Jonathan to frustrate the Buhari administration as these elements were operating at very low ebb in the last four years.

It’s acceptable if you don't like the antics of President Muhammadu Buhari. His appointments have been truly sectional. I am a great fan of Buhari but his conk northern accent despite his exposure in politics over the years speaks volume of how much he is into the North. He doesn't seem to see the Nigerian nation outside the Northern part of Nigeria. This amounts to his unbeatable record in the North during the presidential elections as the cattle and other domestic animals even wished they could vote him in. He had to employ the services of the former Governor of Lagos state and All Progressives Congress, party leader leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to sell him to the South-Westerners which was very successful during the election campaign period.
Buhari's time will come and go. At most, after 8 years of two terms in power which is in doubts, he will be gone as many leaders have done but our identity as Nigerians supersedes all personalities and individual interests. It will always remain. We should never let the manifestations of the ideologies of men divide us.

The secession of the Igbos and the accompanied struggle will only initiate a Mutual Assured Destruction (MAD). It will cause a major setback talking a cue from the plight of the people of Sudan who broke into South Sudan and Sudan today.

My dear Igbo brothers and sisters, don't be deceived my leaders without foresight, don't fall for an adverse movement. It’s my prayer that Buhari brings the promised 'change' and if he doesn't, we will be waiting for him in 2019 like we all patiently waited for Jonathan despite his alleged campaign funds of over N2 trillion. It is my wish that my few words open closed eyes so that events can be approached clearly in the interest of peace and national unity.
Nigeria is our cross; together we will take this great country to the summit.

God bless you all. - See more at: http://villagetowncrier..com.ng/2015/11/Biafra-open-letter-to-igbo-nation.html#.dpuf
