A quick flip to the book of John 4:20-24 should reveal to you that worshipping in Jerusalem was mentioned in the bible (vs 20)! However, Christ was quick to debunk addiction to any place of worship noting that the true worshippers of God do that in spirit and in truth. Meaning you need not get to any holy place or mountain or hill before your prayers are heard by God. God is Omnipresent and not limited by distance or location. Invariably, it is not mandatory for any Christian to visit Jerusalem before being regarded as one in heaven. All that's required is worshipping in truth and in spirit because that's the characteristic of a true worshipper.
