ZUBY77: Why is everything in South Africa about Nelson Mandela?

Mandela cup
Mandela spoon
Mandela holiday
Mandela stadium
Mandela currency
Mandela birthday
Mandela hospital
Mandela Island
Mandela round about
Mandela junction etc.

While he was in prison, were they no other aparthied prisoners with him?

They are toturing this man with life machines just to declare a holiday on his birthday.

No matter how hard we try, Nature will always be our master.

i never intended to quarrel with anyone. My point was and still is, you haven'nt given me enough reason(s) to ignore this admission CIU has offered me. Instead you more or less blaming me for insisting on knwin why. If u wanna advice somebody, try 2 do it amicably and not forcefully and explain comprehensively. Thats my point. Thanks 4 ur contributions anyway.

lol...but bros check am na,the guy is asking for advice but even if we do he just put it at d corner saying different things....so i guess he wanted us to advice him in line to what he have in mind.the best is to let him do his mind so he wont put the blame on any of us here....His mind is made up and such people are the most difficult cus they are claiming they need advice where all they are doing is just creating awareness and still do theirs.
bros thanks 4 ur contribution. I appreciate it. However, if the only reason of advicing me against going 2 ciu is their lack of teachers' commitment and non-chalant attitude towards their job-teaching, i still prefer dem to the 9ja schools. At least oyinbo school wey no serious pass 9ja school wey no serious and lacks standard learning facilities. Plus im more like to secure job or masters admission to another school frm CIU than if i were 2 enter school here. The only thing that would discourage me frm ignoring ciu is if they dupe or ignore students who they already accept during or before registration which is unlikely. U r advising me as if they expelled you for no valid reason frm d school and thus u bear grudge against them. Sorry if i sound rude.

Isn't CIU giving you 50% scholarship on the result that EMU rejected enough to tell you which kind of school you are headed? Honestly you already have your mind made up, and please follow it, we will wait for you at Haspolat, afterall 'oyibo skool nah oyibo skool' and you must enter abroad this year ooooo.
yeah ur right bro ciu gave me that schlarship on the same result emu rejected. However, that doesnt really matter to me .my only fear is wether i will encouter problems after i pay the 2k euro fee. Maybe e don happen to person b4 thats why i dey fear wether na wetin penroll55 and other guys dey try warn me against or na just about their supposed unseriousness about lectures. Meanwhile, pls what are the requiremet of to obtain that transit visa to NC, and what is the easiest medium to wire that 2k euro to the school accnt. Bank transfer, current abi domiciliary or what other means? Thanks

Some people are not worth advising, cause of the desperation of traveling abroad they tend ignoring warning signs and at the end only live with regrets....wish you luck man but when you start regretting or encountering those problems dont rush back here for advice or way out cause you might be disappointing none will respond.

so what you tryna say now is you would never encourage or sponsor any loved one of urs to CIU? Is the school that Bad? Even worse than 9ja public schools I have a very good and able sponsor who can provide me with all i will need in TRNC. Hence, aspa pt wrk, im nt interested in that..only self development goals like WIP7 stated earlier. So i dont really understanding your point of view as regards the warnings you are giving me against CIU. Or they dupe people or ignore people during registration. Pls i take God beg una, make una give me more explicit warnings or infos concerning that CIU parole cos no be say i dey show strong head, na because na the school wey accept me be that. EMU actually rejected me. But CIU has OFFERED ME A 50% SCHOLARSHIP ADMISSION. And now you guys wey be my people with first hand experience r warning me against it. So im really really confused because i dnt wanna let this opportunity go lik this at the same time i need 2 listen 2 advice frm ppl lyk una. God na which kain dilemma b this.

hycode:

CIU is very unstable in its rules not only about their admission but concerning everything they do,for example they might tell you they are affiliated to university of Sunderland today, tomorrow its Wolverhampton, a day after tomorrow it is a a distant learning partnership with campus in Cyprus etc etc. but one thing is certain they care more about the money(maybe because it is a one man's business).

If your results are good enough to get you admitted why don't you try EMU or NEU,this is solely my opinion and I write this because I know if someone in CIU said it wasn't good enough before or something this MIGHT also reoccur in your registration after you might have been in the Island, because Staff are changed like undergarments in CIU,so there are chances that whoever rejected your result has been changed and who is approving now will be changed before you get to the Island. TOO MANY CIU FRUSTRATED PEOPLE IN THE ISLAND ALREADY.Be warned!!!
Hello hycode, thanks a million for this valuable insights u provided. As regards my result, i combined waec and gce put 2 together 2 get 7 credits. I also have an IELTS band 5.5 cert. And Recommendation letter from my principal in school. I applied to EMU but was rejected thats why i tried my luck in CIU. Actually it was the same person that informed me that my result wnt suffice for admission that stil wrote me that i've been accpted. As per the admission issue, what other possible problems do u think i may face before i secure my visa to NC. Shey na the school go apply visa for me ni abi na me go apply own my own. And do they offer scholarship or not. Like after registration, hw much im i expected to add to that initial 2k euros under Business admin course? Thanks so much.

Hello Wip7 and hycode thanks a bunch for ur contributions. I really appreciate. Meanwhile, hycode you stated that after paying the non-refundable 2000 euros and i secure my visa, there is a probability of me hitting a new brick wall. Could you please throw more lights on what u tryna say. Or betterstil fados4sure may highlight whats is intended here for me so i will be better prepared. Thanks in advance.

Hello Wip7, Justwise, Penroll55 and everyone contributing to these Cyprus thread. You are doing a great job. May almighty God reward you abundantly. Please i wish to be clarified on 1 thing here. I applied for Undergraduate Admissions to CYPRUS INTERNATIONAL UNI. I was initially told that my result was'nt sufficent for d school (cos i had 4 credits in my waec including maths and english). So they asked me to forward another result to compliment the one i initially applied with. I did, but they still wrote me that i will still not be admitted because i failed maths in d 2nd waec result. However, after a couple of days, they sent me a CONDITIONAL OFFER. They asked me to pay 2000euros to their account stated as NEW ISLAND EDUCATION LIMITED. That they will then send me the UNCONDITIONAL OFFER FOR ME TO APPLY FOR VISA. Pls i want to know if this process looks normal cos im new to the system and i dnt want to say im insinuating foul play cos they already told me that my documents were'nt suffice and still went ahead to issue me such offer. Thanks, i will appreciaste any advice, suggestions and help.

You can meet up, it will only cost u money. Take it to a law chamber on Monday(25th). They will put a red seal and stamp.
Then send using DHL. It takes 48hrs. Meaning it will get there on Wednesday (27th)

@Iceberg54, regarding the notorised document where a lawyer puts a stamp and a red seal on the PHOTOCOPIED academic document. CAN i photocopy that same stamped copy and send a copy of it which would turn the RED seal to black and send it. Reason; to keep the ''Original'' stamped copy incase you are applying to more than one school simultaneously? Or i MUST send the ACTUAL copy which was stamped with red seal.? Im asking because i applied to a university in Malaysia and i was rejected despite my chances of gettin admission bein initially on d high side. So i was thinkin it's due to d fact that i photocopied the notorised/stamped document. Thanks, waiting 4 ur response before i make another application

Hi guys, I want 2 to defer a little bit. There is a particular scholarship that i wish to apply for. Meanwhile, there are different requirements specified for each country. Im a Nigerian but i do not use a Nigerian passport due to the fact that im eligible to use my Mother's country passport which is different from Nigeria. I was also born in that particular country. So i hold that particular country's Int' Passprt. Now, back to the matter, JAMB (Joint admission and matricularion board), is one of the requirements for NIGERIAN STUDENTS WHO WISH TO APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP. But it's not a requiremet for student coming from the country which i hold a passport. However, i schooled here in Nigeria and hold Nigerian school papers. So my question is, should i apply with just the WAEC result and other docs which is required from the country of my passport or i have to get the docs asked from Nigerian students includin Jamb (which i dnt have nw)since my school papers originated from here? Thanks, waiting eagerly for ur responses/ideas/advices
Education / Re: Help, I Lost My JAMB INFORMATIONS by usdane: 7:47pm On Feb 07, 2013
Hello, thanks for this thread. I actually have a similar question to ask. I wrote Jamb last year, achieved a score of 214 score. However, i did not print out the result slip because i discovered that i could not continue with my admission process due to sum personal reasons. Now, i need that particular result slip for other reasons. but i have forgotten my details including my REGISTRATION NUMBER AND DATE OF BIRTH WHICH I USED. (there was a an age issue while i was in school, my school sectary type a wrong age for me) so nw, i cnt remember which exactly date of birth i used in registring for that Jamb last year. I went to Jamb office in Ikoyi and explained the matter to them, they askd me to purchase an e-facility jamb card for Reg. No retrieving. I did, went to Cafe but after filling in my name, date of birth and state of origin, it tells me 'no match foun'...im really fed up, any idea/help would be really appreciated.
