Both cars have been spotted navigating German streets, their minimal changes still wrapped under a smattering of tape

Timing for the United States is yet to be announced but the first of the updated E-Class models should be at dealers no later than the fall. They will arrive as 2021 models. You may wish to see the Full Article and Video Click here

Car Talk / Tips To Help You Avoid A Vehicle Fire by usedcartips(m): 5:08pm On Jan 23, 2020
Learn what you can do to improve your fire protection and prevention plan right now.Car fires account for 17 percent of all reported fires and 13 percent of all civilian fire deaths, according to the National Fire Protection Association. More than two-thirds of vehicle fires result from mechanical or electrical failures or malfunctions, compared to only 3 percent from collisions or rollovers.

More than a quarter million vehicle fires occur every year.

“Vehicle fires caused more deaths than apartment fires,” said NFPA President James M. Shannon. “The public needs to be more aware of this serious fire safety issue and take measures to lessen the risk of an incident.”

AAA is urging drivers to get a comprehensive vehicle maintenance inspection if they have not had one in the past year, and to be especially alert to damaged wiring and loose electrical connections, worn or blistered fluid lines, leaking connections, severely worn brake components and damaged heat shields.

With million of people on the road, drivers need to take every precaution to ensure they arrive safely at their destinations CheapCARS.ng have some tips to heed in your travels.

* Buckle up. When lap and shoulder belts are used correctly, they reduce the risk of fatal injury to front-seat passengers by 45 percent and the risk of moderate to critical injury by 50 percent.
* Reduce driver distraction. Traffic, construction and careless drivers are distractions beyond your control. However, you can reduce the risk of an accident by decreasing the distractions inside your vehicle.
* Keep your vehicle properly maintained. Follow the recommended service intervals found in your vehicle owner’s manual, always monitor hoses and belts, and check filters, spark plugs and fluids. Also, be sure tires are properly inflated and gas levels are sufficient.
* Carry an emergency kit. In addition to standards such as a first aid kit and battery jumper cables, consider adding the Autolite TriGlo safety light to your vehicle emergency kit. Powered by four AA batteries, this compact light serves a dual purpose: It shines like a flashlight and alerts like a flare. Triangular in shape, the TriGlo light can be used as a bright spotlight or as a blinking safety triangle to warn oncoming traffic of a motorist’s presence.

Car Talk / Re: The Official Car Comparison/Recommendation Thread by usedcartips(m): 7:48am On Jan 22, 2020
HeavenlyBang:
Getting tired of seeing so many "2018 Range Roger Evoque or 1995 Toyota Corolla, which one should I buy?" posts.

The goal of this thread is to hold all the comparison posts, and also for those looking for car recommendations. [s]Especially since Nurey no wan follow directives. [/s]

When looking for a recommendation, please state your budget and the purpose of the car. Factors you're concerned with (fuel economy, luxury, design, drive ability, tech features, etc) should also be stated, as well as any questions you may have.

Hopefully the Cartalk gurus will have an answer for everyone. I'll try as much as possible to help with the little I know, too.

Toyota remains my favorite brand however, if I am to choose between Yaris and Mini Cooper, I would choose the latter. While the Yaris offers Toyota Safety Sense, the MINI offers comparable safety technology features and a peppy engine to boot. Comparing the Yaris vs. MINI Cooper Price at https://www.CheapCARS.ng the difference is not much.

Hi all,

I realised there is a need for us to have a thread where we can say it very loud. Hence, the creation of this room.

In this room, we can derail as much as we want, discuss off topics, etc.

But please, no derogatory words, sales, adverts, spams or posting. Other than these, fire on!

*Note that this room is not for posting our normal car issues and seeking solutions for them. We have the entire section, outside this room, for that.

I read somewhere on this platform that somebody bought a used car and when he brought the car home, he found huge wrap of Cannabis under the driver search. Have you read it? What if he was stopped at Police Check point on his way home? If you are the person, would you return the Cannabis to the car dealer? Click here to read the benefits of buying Used Cars in Nigeria
Car Talk / Top 16 Tips On Buying A Used Cars by usedcartips(m): 5:16am On Jan 22, 2020
Thinking of buying a new or used car; looking for where to buy cheap tokunbo cars in Nigeria? Ready and raring to enter the lion’s den Online? Click here; and get yourself a great deal? Looking forward to pitching your wits and cunning against some of the world’s best salespeople on their own turf, and in their area of expertise? I thought not! That’s why we’ve prepared these 28 top car buying tips to make sure the second biggest purchase of your life goes to plan…

Before you set out
1. Dealing with a registered and licensed motor vehicle dealer is a lot less risky than buying privately from a random seller on the roadside. You never know if the person selling the car is actually its legal owner. You could end up shelling out for something that ends up in big trouble if you fail to due your own due diligence before making a payment.

2. Plan carefully. It’s only too easy to be seduced by the good looks of a vehicle in the car sales yard and make a dicey decision that you will end up regretting. Know what you want before you go and keep this in mind at all times when dealing with a salesperson. You will need to do your homework. This will involve a bit of research. Brochures from the manufacturers are good for looking at the technical specifications and the differences between model variants, but manufacturers’ reviews are obviously biased and they want you to buy the car so they will naturally make it sound good. Independent reviews are important for finding out what the car is like for reliability, practicality and handling. Use the internet and call an expert technician (your local mechanic) for more details. Some independent reviewers have their biases, too, so make sure you read several different independent reviews rather than just one or two.

3. Gather together any information you have on the car including reviews, manufacturer’s specifications etc. Pop a calculator into your shopping pack too.

3. Gather together any information you have on the car including reviews, manufacturer’s specifications etc. Pop a calculator into your shopping pack too.

4. Talk to people who own the vehicle you are interested in and your local mechanic. Friends and family are likely to be honest with you about what the car is like and, if you’re lucky, can let you have a drive to see how it handles. If you don’t know anyone who owns what you’re interested in, then you can try talking to a stranger who does own one if you meet them in a car park. Most people are happy to talk about their cars and take your interest as a complement. You will, however, only get a quick review this way.

Car Talk / How To Avoid Used Car Fraud by usedcartips(m): 4:52am On Jan 22, 2020
Click Here to read How To Avoid Used Car Fraud before you go shopping Online for used Cars. Buying a used car can be the perfect way to find a vehicle that suits your needs, your lifestyle and your budget. As with any major purchase, you need to do your due diligence before buying a used car to make sure the vehicle is right for you and to avoid any frauds or scams. This process requires research, careful consideration and time to look around at different models and retail avenues.

There are several ways you are advised to protect yourself online when shopping for Used Cars for sale online:

Watch for ads or sellers that are too good to be true:

If you’re searching online for Cheap Cars for Sale near you [Click Here] and the price of a vehicle seems too low in comparison to what other people are selling for or what the typical value of that make and model is, then you might want to consider why this is. This also holds true throughout the shopping process – if the seller will only communicate by email, gets too pushy or does something that sets off your alarm bells, walk away from the sale.

Double check the condition of the car:

When you get the opportunity to check out the vehicle, give both the inside and the outside a thorough inspection to make sure it’s consistent with the condition that the seller is advertising. When it comes time to go for a test drive, don’t rush – it could take up to 30 minutes to accurately gauge how well the vehicle is running. Don’t forget to listen for any strange or telling noises.

Don’t pay before you get the vehicle – (Car Auction scams):
For example, fraudsters will try to get money from you before you view the vehicle.
Tip: Never send money without meeting someone in person and viewing the vehicle to make sure that it matches the photos in the listing. Never agree to pay for the vehicle upfront or send money via wire transfer. DO NOT RELEASE PAYMENT UNLESS YOU SEE AND PHYSICALLY INSPECT WHAT YOU ARE BUYING! It is not uncommon to meet at a bank for exchanges for large amounts of money ONLY AFTER you have carried out a physical inspection of the vehicle or maybe get a police report to ensure you are not buying a stolen vehicle. It feels more secure.
