Politics / Re: How APC Supporters Attacked Me On My Way To Buhari’s Inauguration — Mark by uzomahowualah(m): 7:58am On Jun 03, 2015
Why are Nigerians always so quick to call their fellow Nigerians names like hooligan, thugs, etc. Is it because those people aren't driving limos or expensive SUVs? Or maybe because they're not government officials? This might as well be well meaning Nigerians who are angry with the way those in govt has treated them and who represents the face of bad governance than senator David Mark? Let politicians do the right thing if they don't want such treatments in public functions. That's the only place Nigerians can use the courage in Number to show their displeasure. A word is enough for the wise.

Politics / Re: APC Accuses Jonathan Of Hindering Smooth Transition by uzomahowualah(m): 8:08am On May 01, 2015
PDP is trying its best to lay political land mines on the part of the incoming party and president. Appointing loyalist whose removal will have political and tribal under tones. Peter Obi, prince Sanusi Ado Bayero etc. I'm not suprised at this. This is how they want to relaunch the party. PDP as it was, was one of the problems of Nigeria. They didn't mind to burn down the country just to win elections.

How that young girls life was ended yesterday is still a shock to me. If I hadn't gone there yesterday or hadn't known that girl, I would have doubted this story. This is a girl that people come from far and wide to buy card from just out of pity. To think that all her struggles ended just like this is really tragic and shocking. Those of us who know her are still in shock. These policemen should be properly eveluated and periodically checked too. This is very sad. The whole of that Karu area is still in shock. It is a hard pill to swallow because we all saw this energetic girl that same day and thgis happened in the broad day light and on a busy street.

Politics / Re: Alex Otti, Abia State Guber Candidate & Team Brutally Attacked By Thugs [Pics] by uzomahowualah(m): 10:10pm On Mar 10, 2015
Desperation is an evidence of incapability and therefore a prelude to failure. Abians aren't asking for a fight. They just want to cast their votes and exercise their fundamental human rights. This is to show that some people in some quaters do not believe in democracy to begin with, and therefore have no place in a democratic setting like ours. So it is our duty as commited democrats to make sure that such obstacles are dislodged with the help of our ballot papers. Drop the bullets, let's use the ballots is our advice to them all. Let's taste our popularity then. Let the best man win. It is as simple as that my people. Let the will of the people prevail. Is it too much to ask for? I don't think so.
Politics / Re: "Jega Will Go, Heavens Won't Fall" - Ayo Fayose by uzomahowualah(m): 11:38pm On Mar 04, 2015
The enemies of democracy are at work again in Nigeria. They don't know what people went through to bring the democracy they're enjoying now with the previledges which it has given to them. The costliest mistake of the pro democracy activist was to step aside and watch "politicians" take over the political process in 1999. That mistake has proven to be fatal. Some people really have no reason being in a democratic contest at all. I rest my case.
Politics / Re: Abia Central Senatorial District: Governor Orji Records Landslide Win by uzomahowualah(m): 9:21am On Dec 08, 2014
I think this dude is the worst governor in Nigeria by any standard. See the way everyone has just bad things to say about him. I think people like him are just shameless. They think and act like the ostrich. Covering their heads with sand. Orji or theodour it is a pity. I think PDP should be defeated in Abia for this.

Religion / Re: What Comes To Your Mind When You Hear The Word 'AMORC'? by uzomahowualah(m): 5:16pm On Nov 30, 2014
AMORC is a part that seeks to enlighten people about the mysteries of life. Every religion does that in its own way. Isn't that the way life goes? People fear what they don't know. Even christianity in the early days was feared to the point that, members had to go into hiding for the fear of being exterminated because of their beliefs. Try to know people before you judge them. Try to know something before you criticise. Be the light and not the judge.

This ia just the simple prove that; at the end of it all, that we are just human. No matter how much we or our followers try to prove otherwise. We should all come down from those high horses already. Just my thought though.

Pets / Re: Cats Of Nairaland! by uzomahowualah(m): 7:25am On Sep 01, 2014
Cats are the most loveable creatures around. Though it takes patience and maturity and the willingness to share to own and love a cat. Cays like to cuddle their owners. And sometimes they like to share our beds too. They love being around people. Please let's stop stigmatising these lovely pets.

Policing goes beyond guns. You have communication gadgets, stun guns, undercover patrols, uniformed patrols, protective wears, computerised mappings, patrol vehicles with on board computers, with mappings,GPRS,trackers, that can I'd people and all that. But most of all intelligence gethering which ends a crime before it even begins. Then talk of Having a specialised hit squad that are so well trained and equipped to handle violent crimes.

Islam for Muslims / Re: Being Muslim And The Danger Of A Single Story by uzomahowualah(m): 8:00am On Jul 25, 2014
When we label and stereotype poor fellow human beings for no reason,we play into the hands of the terrorist. We give them exactly what they want; a divided citizenry and a chaotic society. One in which it is easy for their ideologies to thrive and for their recruitment to soar. They will tell those who aren't like them-" see the people that you want to live with they don't like you",see the govt that you want to serve they can't take care of you and they can't protect you, see come to us, we are the only ones who can help you". Why do thier leaders always hide from death while they send some other people to go to fight and die? Why was Bin laden living in the most peaceful side of pakistan while his group was creating havoc all over? They're all cowards at the end of the day. And they all die like one. Hitler, bin laden,Gaddaffi, mladic etc.

On the other hand, if the Gov can rent such a crowd, then he must sure be richer than Dangote. Somebody should notify Forbes!

My advice to all the young people here is that they should always give their best. Never be discouraged, never be petty;always remember;others may hate you,but those who hate you don't win unless you hate them, and then you destroy yourself in doing that. Instead of wasting our energy hating why don't we engage in something productive together and see what we can achieve as a people? Mandela once said that you should forgive not for the offender but for your own good that it is only thgen that you get your freedom. The hater is the one in prison even if he thinks he has imprisoned his enemy.

Business / Re: US Overtakes Saudi Arabia, Russia As Largest Oil Producer by uzomahowualah(m): 12:18pm On Jul 07, 2014
Go back to their 2008 presidential campaigns. Obama promised to make America self sufficient in the energy sector so as to reduce and if possibly stop the US's dependence on middle eastern oil. And also to reduce Americas support on despotic regimes because they depend on those regimes for oil. This is a partial fulfillment of that promise. For those who've forgortten.

At this rate Nigerian political elite are gradually urging the military back to political power. Those of them who never took part in the struggle to return to democracy are beginning to take this democracy for granted. They've forgotten how it all came to be. The biggest mistake that the pro democracy activist made in 1999 has come to hunt us.
