Food / Re: Do You Eat Your Vegetables? by velmaN(f): 6:39pm On Feb 29, 2008
I am very picky when it comes to food especially veggies. Count me out when it comes to broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus to mention a few, mere looking @ them puts me off. But carrots, corn, spinach (sometimes, depending on how it is prepared), peas, green beans, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and cabbage, i eat those. Whao, with all the veggies i eat, i don't think i am in trouble health wise if i don't eat broccoli, cauliflower, and asparagus. oh i forgot, olive too is a no no.
Family / Re: Prenuptial Agreements by velmaN(f): 4:44pm On Nov 05, 2007
@davidylan,IAH, wiseguy, you guys said it all.

prenup ko prenup ni. what is this world turning into, in America, 1 in every 2 married couples get a divorce(so i read), that is here in America, prenup is it for them. If there is a prenup then it is not a marriage its just a mutual agreement, where both parties really have nothing to lose, and the part of "for better for worse" should be erased in their wedding vows. And till death do us (them) apart, no, no, no, should be till inconveniences, whining, and all the bumpy marriage roads do us (them) apart.

for those who are for prenup, hey go ahead, its a free world, you will soon come back to the singles market, i bet you would have revised your prenup agreement by then.

Business / Re: University Or Business? by velmaN(f): 8:18pm On Oct 16, 2007
This topic is very interesting and also an eye opener, because it make me think about what i will stress to the next generation, business or college first?
If i was asked this question about 4 years ago i would have said college of course, but now, hummm, i know better. Let me ask you all 2 rhetorical questions: 1. Why did you go to school (earn a degree)?  2. Why venturing into business?
I think we all do for some of these reasons and many more
a. To make money and to have money (no be the same o)
b. To have or maintain an important status in the society
c.  Ka ma se akobata fegbe(sorry couldn't figure that out in English)
d.  To be a force to be reckoned with in the society
e. To have a good life. etc
Which ever route we wanna take to get all we want from life, hey, go ahead. Why we want whatever we want in life is the most important.
After all said and done, being who we are and what we are (nigerians), some college degree will be good, not only in Nigeria o, every where (i think).
Abeg if na part-time classes, evening classes, weekend classes make we do one. Even on line classes dey sef for rich fellas wey no fit sit don for inside class. remember it is not how far, but how well.

Ciao, see you on top.
