Satellite TV Technology / Re: Newbie In Satellite Installation: Introduce Yourself Here With Your Problems by vicmalloy1: 10:17pm On Sep 22, 2013
Hello,
I am new to satellite business. I am from Sierra Leone. I have an 8ft (2.4m) dish. I have been unable to get the Aljazeera HD channels (12256V) while others scramble. I was wondering if I buy an Inverto Ultra LNB I will have any improvements.
Thanks

Hello. I live in Sierra Leone and its been a blow to me that I haven't been able to watch some channels as of late that were transferred to Nilesat 201. I can't capture a single frequency on Nilesat 201. No Aljazeera sport +5 to +8. I have an 8ft dish and I'm using Startsat receiver.
I wonder if things will get better with time or is there something I can do. I know that living in Freetown, I am quite a bit far off but we've been getting almost all the channels with the 8ft dish and everything with a 12ft dish.

I got a message from Chase fan Subodh Singh saying that he has Chase's rare book, Blondes' Requiem. He'll be sending me the full book and I might create its ebook if he gave me the permission. But here is a small extract from the book:

As I drove down Main Street a smell of dirt and decay drifted in through the open windows of the Packard. In the far distance I could see the high brick stacks of the smelters stuck up against the skyline. They belched black smoke that had, in the course of time, yellow-smoked everything into uniform dinginess.
There was a sordid, undisciplined feeling about the town I didn't like. The first policeman I saw needed a shave, and two buttons from his uniform were missing. The second, directing traffic, had a cigar in his mouth.
The sidewalk, littered with papers and trash, was crowded. Groups of men stood around at street corners. Some of them read news¬papers, while others tried to read over their shoulders. Women slouched past like they had something on their minds. Shops seemed empty ; even the bartenders were standing outside in the sunshine. I didn't have to be told that Cranville was coiled up like a spring with suppressed anger and excitement. I could see it just by looking at the people.
I stopped at a drug-store and, using one of the 'phones, called Lewes Wolf. I told him I had arrived.
"Well, come on out." He sounded like a man used to getting his own way. His voice was harsh and impatient. "You go through the town and turn right at the traffic lights. It's a mile or so further on."
I said I'd be right over and left the drug-store.
There was a small crowd of loafers around my car. I didn't cotton on at first. As I started to ease my way through the crowd, I heard someone say : "That's the privates from New York."
I looked quickly over my shoulder, but I didn't stop. They were a sick, seedy-looking bunch, dirty, tired and angry. A guy with a big Adam's apple said : "If you know what's good for you, you'll get the hell outa here." I was startled to see he was talking to me.
There was a murmur from the other guys. They edged closer and they looked like they wanted to take a poke at me.
I got the car door open quickly and slid under the steering-wheel.
The guy with the Adam's apple shoved his lean unshaven face through the window. "Beat it, Gum-shoe," he said in a gritty voice. "We don't like your kind around here."
I had the engine running. "Take it easy," I said, wanting to hang one on his jaw, and I drove off. In the driving mirror I could see them staring after me.
I felt damp under my arms, but I wasn't here to fight bums. I had other things to do.
I found Wolf's house without difficulty. It was so big I couldn't miss it. From the front wall a half-acre or so of fine green lawn spread in a gentle slope down to the street. The sidewalk and the parkway were both very wide and in the parkway the flowering bushes were worth seeing.

I have posted a lot of requests in the e-books that I've created and even in this board to let someone send me the missing pages of some of my Hadley Chase copies but all seem to be in vain. I have already created 15 e-books and have underwent a lot of strain through scanning, extracting, editing , etc and I have only asked for just two or more pages missing where-as I have already scanned about 3000 pages ,
The first Chase book I wanted to read was "This Way For A Shroud" and unfortunately and sadly it is going to be the last book I am going to post in my web. The books I've created are:

This Way For A Shroud
An Ace Up My Sleeve
Tiger By The Tail
A Coffin From Hong Kong
LADY - HERE’S YOUR WREATH
Come Easy - Go Easy
You Find Him – I'll Fix Him
Lay Her Among The Lilies
He won't need it now
I'll Get You For This
Hit and Run
Strictly For Cash
Miss Shumway Waves A Wand
The Soft Centre
Twelve Chinks and a woman
Figure it out for Yourself

, which can be got at: http://www.esnips.com/web/JamesHadleyChase

*I might post other ones, but they'll be in .rar format and with a password. I had intended to do a lot more for free but thats the way the cookie crumbles ,

Here is a 40 page copy of Figure it out for Yourself with a picture of fictional Orchid City created by JHC. I will post the full e-book of Figure it out for Yourself maybe by next week. What I’m trying to do is to create JHC e-books from my personal collection which I provide to JHC fans.
Unfortunately, I don’t have all the novels. So, if people can help me create some or if they can scan the entire novel and send me the scans so that I will create the e-book.
Some of the novels that I don’t have are:
-Lay Her Among The Lilies
-This Way For A Shroud
-I’ll Get You For This
-I’ll Bury My Dead
                                     etc
Please mail me at:

The Guilty are Afraid

BRANDON HAD ARRIVED IN ST RAPHAEL CITY TO MEET HIS BUSINESS PARTNER, JACK SHEEPEY. NO SOONER HAD HE CHECKED INTO HIS HOTEL THEN THERE WAS A KNOCK ON THE DOOR. SERGEANT CANDY FROM HOMICIDE INTRODUCED HIMSELF AND TOLD HIM LIEUTENANT RANKIN WANTED TO SEE HIM IMMEDIATELY. BRANDON WAS TAKEN TO A BEACH CABIN, WHERE RANKIN SAID " DO YOU KNOW THIS GUY ? YOU'D BETTER TAKE A LOOK AT HIM AND THEN WE'LL TALK " THE GUY LYING ON THE FLOOR WAS JACK SHEPPEY, AND HE WAS VERY DEAD !

Who uttered these words and to whom?
"She walks in her beauty like the night of cloudless stars and starry skies and all thats left in her meet in her aspect and her eyes."

The first James Hadley chase novel i wanted to read and uptill now (5years) i have never even set my eyes on it. If somebody have it and is able to make a PDF format of it, i'll be greatfull.

Hello
I have read uptill now 66 JHC Novels. In some sites, various fans of different authors create ebooks of their favourite author. What I'm suggesting is that we unite and create PDF books for JHC. I am now on the project.
What do u say?
