O'steve:
There are jobs in dis Nation bt d ways of getting dose jobs have changed. May God salvage our future.

You've spoken wisely my brother. In my office, no week passes without a new staff been documented and asked to resume duty whether or not they have a schedule (of duty). On weekly basis, people get fixed up somewhere. I know of a few pastors who use their influence to prevail on some prominent church members to help other members get jobs in places they can. If this is happening, then why are we being hypocritical? Like I said in my earlier post, God will connect each and every one of us to our helpers. Amen!

collynzo2: Is this the right thing to say at this time? You filthy whorè!

Each and Every female member of your family are whores since they failed to teach you how to respect women. I'm sure that's how you address the female members of your family at home! Can't you control yourself? What statement has she made that warrants you calling someone you've never met before a filthy wh0re? Can't you share your opinion without hurling insults on other people? If you wanna show patriotism, what stops you from picking the next available bus to maiduguri and volunteer to join the civilian JTF? Truly, upbringing matters a lot and surely u're a product of poor upbringing! Mtschwwww!

Hayjaycity:
What are U taking to the next level?..there is always a mistake in war, since dere is an emergency situation in the state, and the military are on duty, and considering how this BH operate, I think the FG should jst compensate d families of the deceased and national award should given 2 everyone of them, ifthat is exactly what happened. You don't know that in war, attack is the best form of defence.

My brother, in warfare, there are rules of engagement. Truly, attack is the best form of defence but not when the people been attacked are already at a disadvantage (they had no guns, probably only machetes and clubs). What happened to shooting-to-capture instead of shooting-to-kill? Even if those guys were BH, is it not wiser to capture them alive and get relevant information from them? Surely, the soldiers were acting on a superior order and had ulterior motives. they need to be investigated.

What can I expect from a loose fellow like you if not this trash you sent from yaba left. I don't reply comments like yours but I just managed to let you know where you belong. NOW, take your drugs and sleep well.
@Freesystem, your eagerness to hurl insults at others show you suffer a great deal of low self-esteem. Such a pity! From ur post above, you've made it clear that at least drugs can still remediate my problems, thank God for that! How do you cure your low self-esteem? Yet in all of these, I am not offended because you have no fault at all. I understand it's simply because of the unprecedented accessibility of the internet to all strata of users including juveniles, drug addicts, lunatics and illiterates to mention a few! Outside the cyber-world, I put it to you categorically that you stand no where compared to me in all ramifications.

I understand your frustrations, but I aint the source of your problems! I work as a casual programme officer with a govt parastatal, and seek a permanent appt elsewhere. So when I talk, you listen!

Maybe and just maybe when you manage to get to where I am today, you'll be able to have a better and more realistic understanding of the happenings in civil service. Till then, grow up in peace!

Chamber10:

With this kind of your mindset, Nigeria has a long way to go. I believe you are a young Nigerian and you reason like this, wahala dey o. So because Nigeria is bad we should make it worse than we met it? We all have a role to play to make Nigeria a better place. It begins with YOU doing the right thing. I Support freesystem's comment 100%

@Chamber10, yes, I am a young Nigerian, may I also add that I am a pragmatic, very realistic and not an hypocritical one at that! I laugh when people see me as unpatriotic for been simply blunt. Several years ago, I saw things from your perspective but it took me no much time to realize that no one cares about your patriotism, transparency or whatever! I came into Abuja before my youth service and was able to help myself to serve in Abuja. Since then, I have had no reason to regret I served in Abuja. Same cannot be said about my brother who accepted to serve in Katsina. Its over 3 years ago but he is still in the labour market! My brother, you have your opinion and I have mine. I didn't bring Nigeria to the state it is now......and I won't let the state of the nation determine my progress in life! I am who I am, I take responsibility for my life, my progress, my actions and inactions! I believe God uses 'men' to bless people! Due process is very good......so please follow it. I choose to follow the way I deem right for me. Your school of thought is different from mine. For me, the end justifies the means. See you at the top bro! May God help us all!

Family / Re: Is Asking How Someone Died? Rude? by vicope: 7:04pm On Aug 31, 2013
The OP took this out of my mouth! I lost a friend recently and heard about three versions to the cause of his death. I felt very reluctant to ask his relatives the real cause of his death, especially because I had the feeling that something horrible may have happened to him.

Above all these, I am of the opinion that relatives should be able to share with sympathizers the nature of their loved one's death! Especially if the death is suspicious, who knows, someone might know something or have an idea of part of the event that might have led to the death of that person, thereby helping to solve a crime, or save others from similar experiences. Why even keep the nature of someone's death secret? There is no type of death which kills one that hasn't killed another before!
Religion / Re: My Open Letter To Pastor Biodun Of COZA : Tomorrow's Sermon Template by vicope: 4:52pm On Aug 31, 2013
My Observations:

1. The OP is a member of COZA.

2. The OP is either a teenager or a youth still struggling with youthful exuberances.

3. The OP's choice of words shows that he is a coza-like christian and not a Jesus-like christian. His words reek of worldliness, uncouth and ungodly languages, and incoherent statements.

4. The concluding part where the OP would have made little sense stinks with pride and non-chalance. Jesus Christ was known for his humility, so if Biodun should come out to say he owes the church no apology or explanation because he has 'settled' with God, and walks away members who are now skeptical about him, not only has he created an opportunity for more members to backslide, but it will also show he feels no remorse whatsoever (which obviously he doesn't hithero).

5. The OP is just another attention-seeking lad. Since Biodun is your pastor, why not save your advice for him till Sunday when you see him in church? Has nairaland become an online branch of COZA?

Peace to us all!

Its people like you and ur family that are causing Nigeria not to be free & fair in recruitment process. Imagine what you wrote. You no even get shame to say that ur mum influenced ur shortlisting for interview when you didn't write test and you ended by saying 'God help us'. shocked shocked which God again.
Statement like yours makes me wanna vomit my innards. You reek of hypocrisy. I put it to you categorically, that if your mum was in that position, she would have done same. The system is already in shambles, who would want to watch their child remain at home for years after struggling to send them to school? Knowing that if you don't use the opportunity you have, someone else will take advantage of that! We are all opportunist my brother and we live in a competitive environment, thanks to years of corruption, nepotism and decay! My neighbour here in Abuja works with Foreign Affairs, he used his influence to send all his children abroad, two are in Sweden, one is in US. They are all based there and are grown ups now. The man is really enjoying himself as his children spoils him silly with money and other material things. How can this man regret his action? When he knows his children may have been struggling to get jobs should he have left them here in Nigeria! Just pray for God to send your helper, your criticism won't stop her mum from fixing her up. Its everywhere and not peculiar to any tribe!

my broda your submission did nt stipulate where am wrong, next tym try and do that and besides last Labour, foreign and education recruitment you are refering to...Its only foreign affairs that called for oral interview and its not( 6 )six per state...some states 9,11,13...
Point out where am wrong and stop kicking against what will benefit others...thanks
You're right my dear! Most of these ppl ranting on NL do not understand the way things are been run in FCSC. The only part where I'll have to add to what you wrote is that both Labour and Education may never release any list of successful candidates, as I know of over 5 people who have picked up their appointment letters in these ministries. Text Messages have been sent to people individually and they just pick up their letters discreetly at the commission. I was at FCSC early this month and I saw a lady that just collected her Foreign affairs letter dated this month, this my dear negates the fact that just 5,8 or 11 were selected per state, even more were selected, more people are taken unannounced without the knowledge of the public.
On this current recruitment, you are right about the forms been hoarded, infact after collecting the form, and you can manage to get it submitted inside the Hon. Chairman's office (not at the gate), you will be given a number. Which makes me doubt the credibility of the online stuff and those submitting outside FCT. I'm not here to discourage anyone, just that I have learnt over time that being in Abuja gives one advantage when pursuing FG jobs (the main reason why I relocated to FCT in the first place). In my little stay, I have met people and entered offices I ordinarily wouldn't have been opportuned to if I remained in my state. Everyone can't be in Abuja though, and that is where God's favour come into play. May God favour us all irrespective of our locations. Goodluck to y'all!

PS: please don't let anyone decieve you by telling you that they didn't know anyone but just got lucky. That's a white lie! From what I experienced at FCSC, recommendations letters (especially during general recruitments like this) flood in from Senators, Hon. Members, Governors, Royal fathers, Presidency, Ministers (especially of the ministries recruiting), let us not also forget that the Hon. Commissioners representing states in the commission also have family friends, nieces, nephews, cousins, friend's children etc also looking for job. I'm not saying God can't favour anyone, but God doesn't involve Himself in an already corrupt process!

It says nothing about SIM support

The Pipo M6 3G and Pipo M9 Pro 3G supports SIM for internet but not for voice communication.

It also has slots for power, Esc, DC, HDMI (though you have to buy the cable seperately), usb, host, earphone and microSD including physical buttons for volume control and standby.

But I think they have some tabs that supports voice communication though has lower screen resolution. You can check out their tabs on their website: www.pipo.cn/En or www.pipo.com

You can also watch the video reviews I posted earlier.

Is pipo m9 available in Nigeria? If it is, is really a good buy.
Please note the that Pipo M9 is different from the Pipo M9 Pro. The M9 Pro has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 resolution, inbuilt GPS, and 32GB storage while the Pipo M9 has 1280 x 800 resolution, 16GB storage and no GPS. Here's the full specification of the Pipo M9 Pro: 1920 x 1200 (Full HD) resolution, 10.1" IPS display, 1.6 GHz RK3188 (latest) Quadcore A9 Chipset, Mali-400 MP4 Quadcore GPU, 5MP rear camera (auto focus), 2MP front camera, 4.2.2 Android OS, Gyroscope, G-sensor, Wifi, Bluetooth, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 7600mAh battery, Built-in 3D accelerator(supports 3D games), 32GB internal storage, supports microSD up to 32GB, 1080p video playback (Full HD/3D videos) with anti-glare technology, supports all video and audio formats, Adobe flash 11 and HTML 5 (for optimized internet experience), Built-in GPS reciever, E-compass, two front speakers, 3G support, E-book support. It comes with W power charger, 1 OTG, 1 micro USB, 1 earpiece and 1 manual. It also has a good body deign to promote grip and prevent falling off from hand. It's a good buy! I don't sell but I can tell you that the price of the Pipo M9 Pro is between $280-298 dollars depending on the seller and most sellers usually offer free shipping to anywhere in the world.

For the Pipo M6 Max 3G, it conveniently rivals the I-pad 4. It has an oustanding 2048 x 1536 resolution (261 ppi). It comes with a 9.7" IPS retina screen, and shares same specification with the Pipo M9 pro except that it is 16GB storage, an impressive 10,000mAh battery and no inbuilt GPS but has E-compass.

The pipo M6 max 3G has the same resolution and retina screen as the Ipad 4, its 2GB DDR3 RAM doubles that of Ipad 4 which is 1GB. It supports microSd which Ipad doesn't. It also comes at an average of $290-$308. A good buy too!

Thanks bro. Bro, I swear I still prefer my Curve 4 with etisalat, I download the whole world and my BIS remains intact.

Please will this BB10 plan solve the problem of not being able to make outgoing calls? thanks!
Phones / Re: Blackberry 10 Devices Home: Z10, Q10 Etc by vicope: 11:01am On Jul 19, 2013
I bought the BB Q10 for my sister yesterday.......but the internet service has been giving her problems.
First I subscribed for the weekly complete plan on etisalat, it didn't work on the Q10 but worked when I inserted the sim in my curve 9360 (though it was difficult to set the sim properly cos of the micro-sim size)....again we had to cut an MTN sim into micro size and subscribed for the weekly complete plan, the bbm worked fine bt they deducted her airtime whenever she used the browser.

Finally, the phone only recieves calls but don't make outgoing calls. I got the phone brand new from Slot in Abuja. I wonder why all these are happening?

I have advised her to visit either the MTN connect store or Etisalat Experience center for help.

May I also add that though the q10 has a wonderful graphics and screen, I am of the opinion that the functionability of the phone is a little too complicated. I'll choose my curve 4 over the q10 over and over again.....my opinion anyway!
