what dishonesty? About the foruthmainland bridge that the government has planned to build or which other dishonesty are you talking about sir?

Are you saying that the government is stupid to plan the project or I'm stupid to talk about it For people to own PROPERTy around a mega project like that?

Maroko was a slum!!! old ikoyi was flooded!!! I said it and will continue to say it.

People that knows about properties will buy.

Oga, stop this fake stories. You said Old Ikoyi was a slum! And that it transformed into Lekki Phase 1. Go and check your earlier comment. That was the first dishonest thing you said.

Next, you claim old Ikoyi was flooded? Where? What part of Old Ikoyi was flooded? You are making it sound as if the entire district was under water. I can tell you the history of old Ikoyi and how each street links up to the next one.

Secondly, you made claims about the 4th Mainland bridge, as if it was definitely being constructed! Or as if you had control over its construction. Why promise people they will have access to a bridge, that has not even been done?

Thirdly, you said Maroko formed Lekki Phase 1,/when in actual fact Lekki Phase 1 was reclaimed from the lagoon.

Go back and check all the erroneous assertions you made. An honest man would apologise for his wrong claims and correct them, but you are still arguing! Jeez!!

Sir, you sound like we are fighting over something.
From your first comment on this post, it's as if you have something that is making angry.

I can't dwell on arguing with u, it's Christmas for Christ sake.

Yes I'm a property consultant and I'm not ashamed of my job.
I do it with pride.

If you won't patronize us sir, because you know the oba and his royal family.
Others will patronize us.
our properties are documented and totally genuine.

Anyway, Merry Christmas to you sir.
Have a great day sir

I am not fighting with anybody. But I detest it when people spin lies or false stories to secure a sale, or entice people into a transaction. And that is what you are doing.

You started by trying to give people the impression that Old Ikoyi was a slum, (alongside Maroko) and it gave rise to Lekki Phase 1, which was untrue.

Secondly, you claimed that I didn't grow up in those parts, thereby insinuating that I didn't know what I was talking about. undecided You actually said: "Maybe u didn't grow up around here or maybe u should ask around."

Your sales tactics verge on dishonesty. There is no need for all these stories. Just tell people the type of property you have for sale, and the price. Simple. No need to draw unfounded comparisons that are tainted with falsehood.

This is a public forum. Not everyone who comes here, is clueless. If you are a consultant, it is best for you to do your job with truth and honesty, not hype and pride.

it's very obvious u didn't read what I wrote very well.
Maroko was a big slum before it was transformed to Lekki phase one .
Maybe u didn't grow up around here or maybe u should ask around.

People are buying lands everyday especially people that knows history and the value of investments.

Especially at ikorodu and Ibeju Lekki.

It's not false hood to them because they know the worth of what they are buying

So stop quoting me and go get a plot or two for yourself.

Cheers again.

Oga, I don't need to buy into your stories to get property in that axis. I grew up in Ikoyi and went to school in Victoria Island. My grandfather already owned a house on Lugard Avenue in Ikoyi in the late 60s. In the late 80s to 90s, I rode my bike all over Mekwuen, Milverton, Ruxton, Bourdillon, Alexander, McDonald, Thompson Avenue, Queens Drive when I was growing up as a kid in Ikoyi. There is no part of Old Ikoyi I do not know.

You were the one who stated earlier in your previous post that: "Sir, who would have thought that the former maroko and the old ikoyi that is a slum and flooded those days will transform to the beautiful Lekki phase one we are seeing today?? " Go back and check what you wrote.

Oniru was actually the part called Maroko, which was a slum. My relatives had property in that axis. When Raji Rasaki demolished Maroko, he offered to resettle the people there in Jakande low cost housing estate and Epe.

Go and talk to those who actually owned properties there. I know many of the families who owned land in that axis. If I want property there or in an area like Ajah, Abijo or Ibeju-Lekki, I would go straight to the land owners or the families who own the landed property in Ibeju-Lekki. I will not transact business through an estate agent or property broker like you, who wants to tell tales by moonlight to sell his stock.

When did you come to Lagos, that you decided to start weaving these stories?

Hello sir.
Complements of the season.
Work on the fourth mainland hasn't started yet.
But the blue print has been drawn and it's a project that MUST certainly be actualized because it will go a long way to help movements in and out of the island especially with the mega projects coming to Ibeju Lekki and axis.

That's what we call prospective developments that is coming soon.

Sir, who would have thought that the former maroko and the old ikoyi that is a slum and flooded those days will transform to the beautiful Lekki phase one we are seeing today??
That's development for you.

Same applies to ajah axis.

Your 10million naira can't get you a land at Lekki PHASE one right now.
The wise people that believed in the coming developments cashed in and bought lands now they are reaping the benefits of their investments.

It's a different scenario if the project hasn't been planned.
The governement has already planned for the fourth mainland bridge so as a wise man the only help you can do for yourself is to start putting your self at an advantage and invest in properties at key locations where the land will appreciate in future so you can either sell it and make profits or even use it for yourself.

Example of key areas to invest is ikorodu and Ibeju Lekki.
This two areas are very good we lands in this two areas will be hot cake in future.

my name is David
Cheers
Complements of the season.

OK, stop recycling falsehood. Old Ikoyi was NEVER a slum. It never transformed into Lekki Phase 1.

Lekki Phase 1 was actually dredged, sandfilled and reclaimed from the lagoon. Please get your facts right!

In Nigeria, too many projects are planned which are never executed. Does the Lagos Metroline project ring a bell? Others are planned, but badly executed. Please stick to what you know and do not tell exaggerated tales to sell your land.

The private depot owners sell a litre to us at a price between N142 and N144 per litre, which should be sold at N133.28. They got the product from the NNPC at N117 per litre.
“We will transport the product from the depots to our various stations and pay workers as well as incur other expenses. So, how will anybody expect us to continue to sell fuel to consumers below the cost price?

Where are the regulators of this sector?

Is this a joke? In these hard times of fuel scarcity, if I am given the option of buying fuel at 150 naira per litre at the pump in a fuel station with minimal queues (I.e. 5 cars max on the queue), as against buying black market fuel at 300 naira per litre, do you think I will call DPR??

If there was availability of fuel in the land, would marketers sell above approved pump price? When there was steady supply of fuel from the depots, some independent marketers petrol stations were even selling at 143 naira per litre....or have you forgotten?

That passage referred to just Amalekites and not to every other human being on earth, who was not an Israelite. Unlike the Muslims who fight against every other religion especially Christianity, this instruction was for people who had caused physical harm and death to the Israelites, in the past.

Find out what the Amalekites did in the Bible before these instructions were given. Anyway, such instructions are no longer valid today in the New Testament, because the maxim of "an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth" is now forbidden in the new testament. Christians are now commanded to love their enemies and do good to those who persecute them...

WE ARE BACK TO NIGERIA
Dunlop Tyre Express Nigeria Limited.
Distributors of Dunlop and Sumitomo brand of Tyres in Nigeria.

In Tyre Retail Nigeria is not as matured as South Africa or East African countries. Though there are few retail players existing but given the potential in the country and the standard of the centers, there is a huge scope for organized retail sector with the growing nos of vehicles particularly SUVs.

Here Tyre Express looks into the opportunity to come up with its own retail chain with world class retail centers. They aim to offer a different experience to the customer, with top class service, comfortable customer lounge, clean toilets, free wi fi zone for the customers waiting, etc.

They think tyres are mostly a grudge purchase and they want to turn it into a comfortable experience for the customer. With their centers and vision they want to change the experience of buying tyres.

Visit us @ 43a, akin adesola victoria island, lagos. Dunlop tyree is back and here to stay forever.

You people lost a lot of the market share, when you took your exit from Nigeria some years ago. sad Today, people have grown used to other tyres such as Bridgestone, Michelin etc. Even the Korean made tyres and Malaysian tyres have gained a strong foothold in the market.

Where are you guys going to start from? I actually feel sorry for whoever is responsible for driving the sales of Dunlop Tyres in the local market.

Nigerians are not looking for fancy showrooms and effizy. All they want are good durable tyres at affordable rates, which do not break the bank. There are a lot of auto garages and auto mechanic workshops that already offer air conditioned reception areas or waiting rooms, chilled drinks and DSTV to customers who are prepared to wait, for their cars to be fixed.

There is no need for Dunlop to offer the same thing. All Nigerian motorists need are durable tyres at an affordable price, like I said earlier. Our vulcanizers can do the wheel balancing and alignment, at the service point located inside the larger fuel stations. No need to trouble yourselves....

Thank You ! @vivere. I thought there is something i didnt know about the northern -Eastern railway transport route.

@vivere, what information do You have about Kano-portharcourt railway route ?

Well, I have never taken the train from Port-harcourt to Kano, so I don't know much about that railway route. However a member of this forum did so last year, and this was his experience: https://www.nairaland.com/3058931/nairalanders-experiences-train-port-harcourt-kano#44870729

chizidgreat:
Thanks to the Goodluck Jonathan's admnistration, the railway service that was rehabilitated is fully working and is meant for all to enjoy. Yesterday, I boarded a train enroute Portharcourt to Kano and dropped at Enugu and these were my experiences. It was actually my first time of ever using the train and all I could say is that it is purely fun and full of adventures.

First, I observed that the train was faster than many people think. We left Portharcourt by 7am and reached Enugu around 3pm, something I never thought would be possible with the Nigerian train. Well, you should know that there is no traffic jam associated with the train.

Secondly, I observed that the train have many advantages over the buses like space, enough natural air, table to place your things and even read your books if you want to, and the convenience to move about as you like and with that, you will never get bored throughout the journey no matter the length of distance.

Also, the train is very cost effective especially in this kind of time that fuel determines almost every move we make. In fact, the fare from Ph to Enugu is just 650 ( I mean sixty hundred and fifty naira ) and from Ph to Kaduna; 2,100.

However, there are some hitches that happened on the way before we could reach our destination and which in my thinking should warrant some improvement on the rail system. I am going to explain these hitches as I give brief details of my experiences on the way.

We set off from Portharcourt by exactly 7 am and reached at Elelenwa station before 8. But we waited there for almost one hour because another train was coming from Aba and there was only one rail for their passage. So, we had to wait until it reached the station and cleared to the side before we could pass and continue our journey. I hope the minister for transport should take note of this. Next place to stop was Imo river. Imo river was folllowed by Aba which I think looks equipped to an extent.

Aba was followed by Umuoba. At umuoba shortly after the station, we exprienced another hitch;the train started crawling like a snail; the reason being that that there were grasses on the rail which needed to be gotten rid of for effective moment. This took about 20 minutes .

From Umuoba, we got to Mbaosu, then Umuahia Ibeku (Nnamdi Kanu’s place- I guess), then to Uzuakoli and then to Ovim to Ozara to Afikpo to Uduma to Nomeh to Ugbawka to Agbani, then to Enugu. I think that this documentation can help some authors and statisticians.

The journey was doubly that of an experience and an eye opener. Expreientially, we came across so many trees I had never seen before. In some of the thick forests, we also saw some exotic animals but not the harmful ones though.

As an eye-opener, I noticed that there were still some communities in this our country that needed more attention than others and I should use this medium to implore those involved to, please do the needful.

For instance, in some of the thick forests, precisely between Afikpo and Ishiagu both of Ebonyi State, I noticed something that dazed me. I saw a very old building inside the thick forest and I was yet wondering whether it was where people used to live before the war when suddenly, we sighted children who turned out to be schoolchildren waving at us from the building.

Oh my God, that was a school! And looks like a government school too. I wondered, is the government still aware that they exist?

Apart from these few hitches, the rest of the journey was smooth and enjoyable and like I noted before about free movement in the vehicle, I kept jumping from coach to coach and even coming to the door to wave at the onlookers that happily waved at us.

One more thing before I forget, Enugu Railway Station is the most equipped and the most beautiful one I have seen from Ph to Enugu. Pls, let’s clap for Enugu.

Below are the pictures of the railway stations we came across on our way.

Now, let me encourage anyone that wish to travel a long distance and don't have the money that the train is a good alternative and is safer than you think. I also made few inquiries and discovered that the train moves from Portharcourt on Tuesdays by 7am and arrives Kano by Thursday Morning. It also leaves Kano that same Thursday and arrives Portharcourt by Saturday Morning.

That means the movement is once in a week; this is apart from the one that shuttles between towns like Aba and Ph on daily basis though.

So, if you are travelling from Enugu to Ph, just come to Enugu railway station by 3pm on Saturday and from Enugu to Kano or Lafia or Kaduna should come to Enugu railway station by 3pm on Tuesdays. Any other information about other locations would be duly communicated

HOW WE SAVED A CLIENT FROM LOSING N30MILLION NAIRA TO LAND SCAM IN IBEJU LEKKI

Dear Reader my name is Peter Twinnet a Professional Realtor with over 5 years experience in the Real Estate Market here in Lekki Lagos Nigeria.

I am the owner of Lekkiproperty.com and investinlekki.com one of the top Real Estate online portal in Lekki Lagos Nigeria and have written many articles on Lekki Real Estate Market.

Have successful assisted clients home and abroad acquire properties here in Lekki and Ibeju Lekki the HOTTEST INVESTMENT ZONE IN AFRICA.

In order to assist our clients home and abroad invest in Lekki Real Estate market without being scammed, we have partnered with over 10 Real Estate companies here in Lekki Lagos with track record of delivery.

HOW WE SAVED A CLIENT FROM LOSING MONEY
Some months back we were contacted by a client (Mr Olaniyi) residing in London UK requesting for 30 Plots of Land in an estate he saw advertised online by some marketers.

He sent us contact of the company that own the estate and immediately we moved into action, we contacted the company and requested for the documents of the said estate since they claim it has Excision and Survey as the land title.

The next day we headed for search with the documents they provided at Lagos State Lands office at Ikeja, that same day we received the result and it was successful (FREE FROM GOVERNMENT ACQUISITION). So we updated the buyer about the result and he was set to pay to the company next day. But because of our experience in Land matters within Ibeju Lekki, i was not satisfied with the result on the paper so early next day I called the client and requested he hold on while i make another check on the property before making payment so he gladly accepted.

So that morning I contacted a Registered Land Surveying company here in Ajah Lekki to assist me pick corrdinate of the estate land and chart it and he sent one of his boys that charged us N35,000 Naira for the service.

Because our Interest was to protect our client Investment not the commission we are getting, We were willing to pay the N35,000 and we went round the estate land and pick coordinate from different direction of the land and went back to their office. What we discovered will shock you.

After few minutes we received a shocking report saying: "The Land were the estate is Located is a Government reserved Land" that means is Government Land. But what baffled me was that the said land has Exicision (Meaning Government approved land to community), on further search we discovered something shocking: "The said company owner of the estate surveyor actually went to a land 300 Miles away from the estate to pick coordinate and inserted into their survey.

So if you conduct your search with the document they provided, you will receive a good report but when you pick corrdinate on the land and chart it yourself with the help of a Registered Surveyor you will get a different report.

We immediately contacted the estate owner and explained our discovery and they told us they just discovered that their surveyor planned and actualized that evil deed.

So we contacted the Buyer (Mr Olaniyi) and advised he discontinue the transaction and informed him what we discovered and he was very grateful and thankful by refunding us the fee we spent for the search.

IMPORTANT LESSON:

1. Never pay for any Land without involving a registered surveyor who will assist pick coordinates and chart the Land.

2. Try as much as possible to avoid CHEAP Lands without good land title.

3. If you are living abroad always contact trusted family member and expereinced Realtor Like PETER TWINNET.

4. Never send payment through a family member or a Realtor but pay directly to the company and allow your family member or Realtor (Professional Land Agent) to followup on the transaction and give you regular updates.
