thanks my broda, ok the car is a honda bulldog 95,(v6). The fault has actually been there since purchase few months back was told by the mechanic at the time of purchase that its a minor fault that requires change of gear oil. However after changing the gear oil and filter there seems to be no improvement. Another mechanic says the gearbox has to be changed totally, yet another says it can be repaired. I really don't know who to believe amongst the two and i don't want to go about wasting my money on what would not work. Also the check light on the dashboard has been on and am thinking of taking it for a scan. |

Romance / Re: hh by wendyz: 10:19am On Aug 24, 2010 |
@poster the truth be told even if its bitter. Most of your so called black brothers are where they are because of their concretized mentality that the sisters have a better advantage than them." As a man thinks in his heart so is he". Maybe i should also ask. The guys who are in working in the banks, telecoms, oil companies etc, How did they get there? Guess they slept there way there too, isn't it? I would advice you go tell those your brothers sharing tales with you to go develop themselves and stop all the pity party and hating on the black sisters in Nigeria. Yeah, there maybe some bad eggs, but it becomes a big problem when you generalize like you did in your post. There are a lot of successful women out there who have paid the price of discipline and hardwork inspite of all odds to achieve what they have today, and it would be very wrong to see such a disrespectful post like yours. |
Family / Re: How Does One Get A Divorce by wendyz: 11:51am On Aug 19, 2010 |
I quite sympathise with your friend's predicament, though i don't know about the procedures for getting a divorce. I would just like to ask some basic questions: Is divorce the only solution to this marital problem? How did your friend get herself into such an abusive relationship? Has the husband always been abusive right from time or are there certain things she does that brings that part of him out ( not justifying wife battery though). 'Cos sometimes i get amazed when some ladies see these traits in their men during courtship and still go ahead to marry them all in the name of love, just to want to opt out sooner after marriage. God help us. |

Family / Re: What makes a man feel respected? For Mature Men Only!!! by wendyz: 11:08am On Aug 16, 2010 |
Thanks all for your replies. In my interactions with different guys on this issue of RESPECT and my personal experience with my boss. I came to a conclusion that just "maybe" most women (single or married), don't even understand men's expectations from them with regards RESPECT. A male friend once told me he feels respected in a relationship when his Lady trusts his Decision making ability and if by any chance she feels contrary on his decision, she rather suggests options and not go ahead telling him what to do. Even when his decision does not turn out well, she doesn't rub it in his face. How about that? I used to have a lot of issues with my male boss for reasons unknown to me, not until i realised he expected me to seek his opinion on almost any decision i needed to make( as a sign of respect). I adjusted to suit his expectation and to my suprise he changed positively and these days he doesn't hassle about all the things we had issues with previously and he gives me the go ahead to make decisions as it deems fit. Personally i believe on the homefront women too would also get more of the love of their husband they crave for, if they understand HIS expectations of them with regards RESPECT and act as appropriate. 1 Like |

One of a man's craving in a relationship no doubt is RESPECT, however i also understand that the word means different things to different people. So my question What are those things ladies do that makes a man feel she RESPECTS ME, and on the otherhand what do they do that makes a man feel she doesn't even RESPECT ME. Family / Temperament Issues : A Choleric Woman by wendyz: 4:56pm On Aug 04, 2010 |
An understanding of temperament differences in my opinion helps create a better understanding of the people in our lives, Be it in the workplace or the homefront and otherwise. I believe every temperament (Sanguine, Choleric, Melancholy, Phlegmatic) has their attending strengths and weaknesses. From my observation and enquiries, the choleric woman seems to be the most challenging to get along with among the women folk inspite of their strengths. (I stand to be corrected) Born Leader, Goal Oriented, Organised, Result oriented, etc. Are you a choleric , or in a relationship with or married to one , Please share with us some of your challenges and how you are managing them? |
Romance / Re: When The Wife was More Educated And Richer Than Him! by wendyz: 3:22pm On Aug 04, 2010 |
ve been following this story since it started and i must commend swiftycool for a job welldone. However i must say there are always exceptions to all rules. The fact that a Gloria somewhere blew it does not mean all women who are more educated and richer than their men are the same. This is where i particularly have a big problem with generalization and societal prejudices. The same men and society that judge an educated and rich woman, would also rise up to condemn a woman who depends on her man as being parasitic and over-dependent. Can someone please tell me where to draw the line of BALANCE. 1 Like |
