God bless your body, spirit and soul for this!

I will respond to those clowns @prelinctus, @scarletdp and the third person in a bit. If I have to unfollow the thread afterward, then so be it.

I have waited for a golden offer like this for thirteen long, excruciating and difficult years. And when God in His infinite mercies decided to intervene in my situation, some clowns want me to compromise it just a few weeks into the job All because of their own selfish interests You want me to risk my neck just for your sakes

An adage in Yoruba language goes 'Ti a ba gun iyan si inu ewe, ti a bu obe sinu epo epa, Eni ba ma yo a yo' Translated means ' If you serve a meal of pounced yam and soup in a leaf and groundnut 'case' those that will eat to their satisfaction will do so.

These guys have accused me of speaking in codes. Meanwhile a few guys got my messages 100%. @freeradical and @vantage to mention but a few. I don't know what more these jokers want.
You dey try sef, you haff over tried, the people are just frustrated by the long wait. When ethics and emotions cross each other's path in the course of duty, emotions give way and ethic prevail. The experienced hire that enter same date with forkaddict will definitely be a handful, so if kasala burst you sure know tracing who is who won't be a hard task. Make nlng sef answer una on time na.....this delay no fair at all. It is well with you guys..

Funny your put the indictments in quotes. Why did the majority APC senate refuse to discuss it prior to Amaechi screening? Funny also how my calling Kemi and LAIr incompetent and liars respectively is piquing some folks. Calling the past Commander in chief clueless and a drunk was ok by APC but referring to the cow charmer elected as president is now condescending or referring to his devil anointed cabinet as incompetent is now an offence?

If Amaechi is not corrupt the APC SHOULD have allowed the report of the panel to be discussed. In saner climes, people resign when corrupt allegations are made against them. They resign to fight for their name. If Amaechi wasn't corrupt he would have gone to court alleging defamation of character
Your mata with PMB na personal mata, una need to have dinner together and discuss am over some bottles of beer...hahaha

You call the present cabinet the best team we've ever had? Like seriously? I know Pat Utomi for one is better than Kemi Adéoṣùn. Lai Mohammed best Minister of Information? Frank Nweke Jr performed miles better. Abeg let's not fall for that politics bait that was thrown here. We will just argue tire. I am anti-Buhari until he probes Babangida, Abacha, Abdulsalam and Obasanjo. Add Tinubu and Amaechi to that list. Until that day, all this so-called anti-corruption stance is exactly that, just a stance.
But Pat Utomi has strongly defended economic decisions taken by the current administration that they are moving in the right direction. So it means President Buhari is doing it right, Kemi Adeosun isn't that bad afterall. Airsaylongcon, you cannot fight the enemies within and without at the same time, they will join hands and synergize. If truly Amaechi, Tinubu etc are corrupt as alledged by you, their own time is coming. The war against corruption however we perceive it has begun, with time 'I believe' everyone will be alright. I know say we not fit gree lailai, but we need you guys in the opposition so the sitting government won't relax but rather think out of the box like they are doing now to salvage the economic situation the ineptitude of our past leadership has plunged us into.

I really do think the government is trying and really working hard, they have been trying to be careful in decision making. Yes, due to the oil price fall there have been serious struggle to sustain the value of the naira, but objectively we would see that this particular challenge is not unique to us. The finance minister of Russia had to redo his budget 3 times. Kuwait benchmarked her 2016 budget at about 70dollars which is so so unrealistic as crude oil is projected to dip further to as low as 20 dollars per barrel. The US economy has done very well under the Obama administration, hence the strength of the dollar, their dependence on crude importation has greatly reduced. 1 million barrel of crude oil in excess supply daily. Unfortunately we will have to pay for the many years of bad leadership in the past. But I really think the Buhari government should devalue the naira to reflect the current reality. I am yet to understand the arguements against the devaluation cos a lot of people are just making money off the nigerian economy by bringing in dollars changing it to naira at the parallel market and pay in the naira back into their account for dollar transfers abroad. So it means one can make more dollars without a single economic activity other than doing business with a currency exchanger....not good for us

My heart goes out to my home boy @whatsupguys and also to all those that got the regret mails. Like someone rightly mentioned there are many routes to the top. I would just like to encourage yall to persevere. I have also missed many 'great' opportunities as well in the past. But my story is different today and that is only possible cos I kept trying. Many of my ex classmates that we graduated together have even stopped applying. The few that apply only do so to openings that ask them to come for interviews straight. But imagine small me, still sitting for aptitude test well over a decade after graduation. And countless regret mails on the side as well.

So maguys, DO NOT LET THIS HINDER YOUR QUEST FOR GREATNESS.

And as for the rest still in the game, I wish yall the best of luck.

Cheers.

Thank you so much my boss of life. You have always been an inspiration to so many of us. You care with a passion. My prayer is that you will surpass your career expectations by faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa......r (letter 'a' to infinity) in Jesus name! You just echoed and corrected something going on at the back of my mind. I said to myself, 'I am not going to write any company's test again and if my CV is good enough for them, we talk', maybe I will have to reconsider that. Once again CONGRATULATIONS FELAS wink

I don't think anyone actually got a success mail. The contour of the "success" mail permits several interpretations and it is very telling that the word "success" or any of its derivatives is conspicuously absent in the whole email. It is an ingenious way to keep people in a limbo without raising their hopes about their prospects. As a matter of fact, people who didn't get a regret mail don't seem any closer to getting the job than they were on the day of the AC.

Anyway best of luck in all ur endeavours bro. I am sure there is something better in store for u.
Okay bro, thank you. Cheers

No regret mail was sent to the best of my knowledge. I think we should all move on for now because even though there were feelers that the current tsunami was coming no one truly knew the magnitude. NLNG is still in the business to make profit every other thing is secondary and as such I understand their ordeal.
Regret 'males' were sent, and like I confirmed earlier I got one.

You know how sometimes when you’re dealing with an issue in your life, you turn to friends and family for their opinions? Companies often need this, too, especially when making tough decisions. Often times, clients have a perspective on how to solve the problem they are facing but want to make sure that what they’re thinking is correct, or that they aren’t so close to the challenge that they’re missing the obvious answer. So, they turn to consultants to come in and provide their opinion.

But the fact is, this isn’t just any opinion. These consultants often work with many different companies and may have worked through this problem in the past with someone else, they can really provide a perspective based on what they’ve seen work before. And given this experience, they can often bring new and innovative ideas or possible challenges to the table that clients probably wouldn’t have been able to see on their own.
Thank you bro @cashme28 for shedding more light.

Too expensive to do. Imagine paying one HR staff Xmillion naira just to specialise in recruitment. Not cost effective as recruitment is not most businesses primary operations (except of course a HR firm). But there will be super specialised cryogenic engineers in say NLNG because they are needed in operations
Okay, thank you bro for giving some insights into this.

Specialisation and experience. No matter how good internal HR is they will not be as skilled/experienced as a consultant recruitment firm that has honed and fine tuned it's skill by recruiting for a variety of firms
Very True. When will their own people now have the opportunity to have such experience. Won't training and equipping them with the skill be better?

I was just thinking about something. Why do many nigerian companies trust external consultants than their own internal human resource?

Good. I just hope the message won't just be that the recruitment process has been put on hold till Q3/Q4 and that's all. I really hope they free those they won't need and let the rest wait till whenever it is that they've decided whether Q3/Q4 or sooner or whenever. Let them just not keep over 500 people in limbo for nothing.
Well said!

Okay, so...hypothetically, you've passed AC but haven't nailed a spot in the starting lineup. Two options: take a sizeable payoff now and walk away or wait till Q3/Q4 and stand a chance of getting in if oil prices recover.
Scenario 2, your name is on the list, a Senator from your local government calls and ask for a 'slut' in return for a pib vote, what do u think will happen? They may not even waste their time to think on it. Term it corruption, being unfair or whatever. My brother its negotiation ask Peter Drucker, there is a political side of business and they won't loose an opportunity at advancing the course of their business over one Mr GT surnamed Nobody. That's more reason we need the mail now. The earlier the mail, the more credible the process. At least mails about performance. We can wait till conditions are good enough for resumption. I hope that isn't surreal and phantasmagorical boss @Saved2Serve? undecided
