Okija_juju: NOTE::

- If you are against abortions and you dont volunteer at|own|work at or sponsor a Motherless babies home|Compassionate home|Foster care Home and other such charitable organizations where abandoned babies and kids are cared for, then you are nothing but a hypocrite.
- If you are anti-abortion and you dont currently sponsor a motherless child, then you are a hypocrite.
- If you are anti-abortion and have never visited a motherless babies home to see the plight of these kids, then you are a hypocrite.
- If you are anti-Abortion and have not adopted a motherless child|nor have any actual plan to, YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE.
- If you are anti-Abortion and find it hard to give alms to street kids that come up to your vehicle to wash your windshield in traffic, then you are a hypocrite.
_ If you are anti-abortion and have a small boy|girl that you and your family brought from the village that works in your house as a houseboy|girl for no salary|poor public education That neither you nor your siblings atteneded|poor welfare and other such poor treatment, you are a hypocrite and a slave-master|owner.

#You guys dont care about these babies or their welfare, just about appearing politically|religously correct.

Abortion is simply a womans right to control what happens within her body. I have met several single mothers in Nigeria. One thing I always ask them in our conversations is; WHY DIDNT YOU JUST GET AN ABORTION? and their reply is always, I WAS SCARED OF DYING.. And I couldnt blame them. Many girls die every year in this country from abortion simply because we have created an avenue for quacks to scheme money off these women and basically kill them. Many of these girls never go on to attain their full potential because of this.

FUNNY!! Most of the anti-abortion campaigners here would NEVER!!! I repeat, NEVER!!!!! allow their male siblings marry a single mother. grin Infact, most of the anti-abortion campaigners here would never consider marrying a single mother and adopting their children. NO NEED TO FRONT ONLINE, WE ALL KNOW THE TRUTH.. Infact, most of the people here talking, their extended family would never welcome a single mother into their midst, talkless of accepting a 'BASTARD' as a part of them.. grin YES!! I SAID IT!! 'BASTARD!! Thats what these kids are 'GRAMMATICALLY SPEAKING' This is grown man talk here, Lets please put sentiments aside...

I know my society. I still remember when a young girl from a HIGHLY Emphasis on HIGHLY Christian home got impregnanted by one street urchin in the neighbourhood where I grew up. I remember how they tried to cover up the news but it spread nonetheless. I remember how the girl was shipped to their village to stay with her grandma. I remember how they packed up and moved out of the neighbourhood a few months later from shame.. I remember seeing them about 2 - 4 years later in their new house, I remember entering their house and seein the girl in the house.. I remember not seeing a trace of that child anywhere.. I remember attending her wedding, and still no sign of the kid.. I remember later hearing that they either disposed of the child or dumped him in a home... #Poor Girl.. She still cant look at any of that knew about the child in the face.

We can look at this from a biological perspective, child right perspective, Womens right perspective, societal perspective, religous perspective, legal perspective, e.t.c.. The one thing we all can agree is that this is a very complicated matter that is bigger than 'ABORTION IS MURDER, SIMPLE!'.

Think about it..

WOW. All of the above. Plus respect for the simple fact that a woman should have the right to decide what happens with her body.

I had been really anxious reading this forum but I'm happy to say my settlement visa has been issued, which is such a massive relief. Best of luck to Ebeano and others on your appeal.

I'm doing a study on Yoruba water spirits and I faintly remember a mythological story I was told as a child about 2 love rivals that married the same man and somehow became transformed into rivers but they split because even as water they still didn't get on. I can't remember much more - not even the names. If you know the full story, I'd love to hear from you

@Ebeano49 sorry to hear your update. Could you please tell me if you received a notification from VFS today or you had to email them as well to find out? As mine is due around the same time.

I've just returned from Lekki Market - got directions from a friend. It is precisely in Jakande in Lekki, for anyone that's curious. It's a tourist market so not many Nigerians know about it.

If you don't know you should just say so - not tell me Lekki Market doesn't exist.

Could anyone who has been to Lekki Market give directions please?
According to Google, it's somewhere between Falomo and Obalende which I don't think is correct
I was previously told its off the Lekki motorway but not sure exactly where
Thanks

@betty21 sorry to hear that. Did you say you haven’t seen your husband in over 5 years? Was that not a source of concern for the ECO? I will assume you actually meant to write months - Also how long did it take for them to decide your application? I submitted mine about a week ago and I’m just very anxious, especially after reading this post.
