Rich Dad: I think Tecno actually own the phone. Because, I can't buy from you and sell cheaper ,hence the price difference. The Xolo guy had to increase the price to make profit. IMO

they are equal copies of each other. Remember phantom A also has a xolo A1000 brother. Then this A+ for Q1000. Both are Alps manufactured..anyway,.even phillipines cherry mobile,..i dont remember the models.

Gravitizer: Tecno followers are Myopic and crippled in their thoughts. Instead of them 2 look @ the good side of teaming up with Xolo Users on XDA and cum up with porting of ROMs and creating a compatible Custom Recovery(CWM). They are here arguing ova irrelevant issue.
Tecno is doing just fine librating the common man out there 2 hav a feel of Android BUT their so called fanatic fans are the reason why others will continue 2 diss and hate on them cos of their bad A$$ attitude.

I think it's the memory access limit ie you can't access memory more than 32gb or the file system (NTFS/FAT).

external hard disk "normally" require a powered usb hub(most of them though) to work. I doubt the limit, though as you say, I agree it may also be due to the incompartibility of the file system of the disk...linux(android) can be selective

adegbem: Pls I bought the Samsung otg cable today (though the cord is a little bit thinner) and it not working with my LG 500gig hard disk, and when I search they said it may be because of power, that maybe the otg cable can't provide the right voltage for the hhd to spin the disk.... And when I checked the rating of the hhd it was 30v. Pls can I get an otg cable that can provide that much... Any help or suggestions is welcome... I really need to use my hard disk with it

find a well rated powered usb hub...it should work perhaps I think it may cost you N 1k..as in, its Kshs 600 here

USB OTG enables you to use your tablet as a host instead of only being a slave during a connection with another device. I.e you can use your tab to control a usb device such as a pen drive, wired keyboard, mouse, external hard drive,..etc.. You need a OTG cable to do this, which unlike the normal USB cable, it alerts the tab to act as a host i.e control..hope it helps

klens: you said before you have been using ur N9 for over Two weeks rather than your Laptop because of Multiple OTG, who else have confirmed what adeye has been posting, or is he the only one using N9,are you one of the Tecno agent? same thing happened during infinix Race bolt, now 1.5 Terabyte HD, pen drives, very soon external DVD drive and projector.

OTG does it all,..except on the Nexus class of devices(tho some do support external drives, most dont.)

Yes. I have used both pen drives and external hard drives. In fact my external HD is a 1.5 TB drive and it works connects and works with no hassles.

mayb true,..but then.. we all know Tecno as the most erraneous lot with the way they communicate. MT6577 is on their site yet the users claim MT6589,.in fact some are only claiming to be disap'ointed because it is not the Turbo,...and those updating the site are 'just' not into tech stuff am sure..just web designers if I should call it basing on the poor state of official tecno website..

adaye: Hi all. Like I earlier posted th e N9 does support OTG. I use it on a daily basis in my office. Due to this feature I have not used my laptop in two weeks.

Let me clarify on the multi port OTG. I connected a 3 port USB extension to my OTG cable and so can connect a keyboard and mouse to my tab which allows me to do serious work with it. The 3 port extension cost me 1,000 in port Harcourt while the OTG was 700. It can be obtained at Ogunabali which is our own computer village.

Perfect! But have you tried using pen drives or external hard drives? Because I believe with a powered usb hub you can connect the pad to an external hard drive through an OTG.
