You didn't factor your return ticket estimate as suggested by Tutu82. Flight ticket fares are a function of the airline and travel period. Since you are likely to travel during summer, ticket fares will range from GBP 500 to 1,000 depending on airline... oladotunfelix2: 1 Like |

Good afternoon everyone...I want to ask anyone that either recently travelled to England or knows someone that recently did....how did you submit the used kits for the Day 2/8 covid19 tests? I asked because new arrivals are meant to be in quarantine...I understand the used test kits are to be submitted to either post offices or authorized courier agents of the test companies... Thanks in advance |

Good morning people... I just got a mail from TLS that a decision has been made on my application... Application submission: 24th May Biometric: 26th May Standard Application I am a frequent traveller (though i last visited the UK in 2016) and currently have a running Canadian visitor visa on the passport. I got a UK 6-month visa last year (February 2020) but couldn't travel due to COVID. I guess i should be optimistic of a favourable outcome...lol |

YES AND NO. It depends on the officer attending to you at the border. It's always advisable to print a recent statement and take along or to show them the CASH at hand. GHJOE: 1 Like |

During my telephone conversation with the CS Rep at VFS this morning, i gathered that applications with tracking IDs '20201112CALAPKT...' upwards are still under processing at the IRCC office. That means those that were processed at VFS from 12th November till like 18-20th November are still at the embassy. Just for our information... 2 Likes |

Please what are the first 8 digits of your tracking ID? It gives an idea to when it was processed by VFS and sent to IRCC... Ayobami2001: |

Try to get them on phone. I had same problem with my daughter's passport. Dispatched on Nov 4 and received by the famous, Mr Festus, on the 5th. After 2 days of not receiving any notification, i sent emails and followed up with phone calls. After a week, i gathered that it hasn't been processed at all by VFS and they insinuated that it could be because i didn't attach the biometric completion slip or didn't pay the N7,430 for biometric submission. I looked for the slip (her biometric was on March 1) and sent it with a mail to explain the circumstances all over again. Finally, by afternoon of November 17, i got a tracking ID. The tracking ID is showing that her documents have been sent to VFS Abuja (from VFS lagos o) and now on its way to IRCC Abuja. Hope this helps... P.S: New guys with PPR shouldn't use VFS Lagos o ik123: 3 Likes |

Good morning gurus/house, Please don't mind me if I sound naïve with my questions... 1. What is the likely IHS surcharge for a 2-year Masters programme, applicant travelling alone? 2. When does the 28-day stipulation for account statement start counting? Let me paint a scenario, i just funded my account 2 weeks ago and waiting for another two weeks to apply/request for CAS, tuition deposit paid, TB test end of this week...at what time will the 28 days start counting for visa application proper? 3. I have funds in my two accounts, can i submit two statements that add up to the required/sufficient amount? Both statements are in my name but from different banks? 4. Can i submit an electronically generated statement or it must be signed at the bank? 5. Does anyone have any idea of likely GBP/NGN rate that is applicable as at today? Kindly assist with answers...sorry, if all these had been discussed in previous threads...abeg... |

We expect IRCC to publish list of DLIs with approved Covid19 readiness plans for their students especially international students. Students for those schools can start making travel plans from that date. adeenzo: |

BVL means Biometrics Validation Letter...but it is usually sent to an applicant after a decision had been made on his/her application. Once you get a BVL, expect a refusal letter/correspondence or a Passport Request letter/correspondence within 24 hours Nice weekend Dovelove543: |

I doubt if the biometric status changes immediately you submit your application...but few days/weeks afterwards, it should be properly updated...since biometrics are valid for 10 years. Medical exam is valid for one year...so you need to watch timelines to know when your previous one expires MadeMan01: |

TimAke: These are uncertain times to be honest..but from my two previous TRV applications, I got the decision the same day I received BVL. BVL came in the morning while the decision came by close of business. Let’s look at next week again.. May we celebrate 3 Likes |

Good afternoon house, I want to ask a couple of people who received BVL yesterday if they have received any further correspondence from IRCC. Decision typically follows same day or next day at most, after receipt of BVL. May we all have reasons to smile soonest. |

Eilenora: Let’s see what IRCC will do in the coming days/weeks as per Passport Request to those with AIPs who’ve also scaled Admissibility stage(2). If they start sending PRs, it means they are ready to receive students and Border Service will be lenient with their conditions/requirements. If PRs are not sent out in the next 2-4 weeks, then no immediate hope of entry into Canada, It shall be well 3 Likes |
