I had my interview on July 16th, 2019. I was asked to send additional documents which I did submit on July 29 at DHL Office. I received email to submit my passport to DHL office on 4th of September and my Visa was issued on 10th of September.

I was F1 with two kids, had my interview last year june. The CO will ask if you're married or not since you have a child. I was given 221g form to submit joint sponsor plus recent tax return and birth certificate of my kids. I submitted them later and my visa was approved. Abeg bros, take all necessary documents along with you make them no delay you o

No problem abt that..all u need to do is take the birth certificate of ur child along wit u and the photocopy of it..u are good to go..im also in ur shoe i did d same as well..

Hello guys. Just went for my visa interview and I was told to bring more evidence. They need current (2018) tax papers. I went with 2017 and it was rejected. Oh, sorry, I assumed you were the mother. Oops! You cannot use the F2B visa if you are married. If you intend to use the visa, you must travel as an unmarried person, and marry her AFTER you have entered and exited the United States.

The worldwide level for annual employment-based preference immigrants is at least 140,000. So Nigeria could issue 25,620 immigrant visas each year before hitting a limit -- but we don't have that many applicants (believe it or not! It feels like we do!). That means that an F2B application would never be delayed in Nigeria due to a numerical limitation.

That said, what's more important in your case is the cutoff date. Right now we're seeing F2B cases that were filed on or before August 22, 2008, so there's around a six and a half year wait.
