I think the chrome is fine. It contrasts well with the black grill. The headlamps are already looking black so blacking out the grill will make everything a bit too dark. This is a classic, not some modern day car. That chrome is part of it's classic looks.

Some people here are defending the seller and saying its just business. The core issue here is transperancy. The seller wasn't honest about the car's history. Even if he fixed it abroad or went to Toyota manufacturing plant to fix it to standard, he still has a duty to disclose this to any potential buyer. If the buyer then decides to buy, then it's business. Honesty pays in whichever business anyone decides to do. And to think that the seller was even claiming it was clean title. SMH!

This is bad, it reminds me of that San Andreas movie. Harvey is really mean. Saw what looked like a dealership with all the cars submerged. Can't imagine the loss, not to mention hundreds of displaced persons and the lives lost. Nature can be cruel sometimes.

erico2k2, I'm really interested in the outcome of this your conversion, but since you asked for opinions, i"ll give mine even though you may not like it. I am not a mechanic or a technician, but I can read people even from their posts. The major reason why you want to carry out this conversion is purely sentimental. While i agree it is your vehicle and you can do as you wish, I must say this shows how attached you are to material things and i dont think it is a good sign. You keep reminding everyone that it is an autobiography, simply because they told you it was like pure water in naija. I give you till the next 3 years at most and your affection for that vehicle will diminish considerably. Like someone pointed out, its not a classic that will appreciate with time, so it will depreciate quickly. And after regaling your friends and family of how you converted your RRSA against all odds, you will wake up one morning and feel nothing again for the said vehicle. RR will definitely produce something better than your RRSA, and thats if they havent already, so no need making this particular one any more special than it is. A wise move will be to sell off and buy LHD, its just a car and God forbid but if you crash it, its gone, with all the conversions and stuff. But since conversion is your thing and you have the resources, by all means continue. Its your life and your car afterall.
