Without wisdom, it is impossible to actualize your potential, that is, your redemptive rights in Christ.

Rev 5:10 (KJV) And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

The verse above confirms our kingship and priesthood. It confirms that we are meant to reign, be in charge, dominate and influence the world and not otherwise.

BUT Proverbs 8:15-16 (KJV) By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.

This is why the scripture admonishes us that wisdom is the principal that must be acquired. But how do we get this wisdom?

James 1:5 (KJV) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Get wisdom today. This is the propeller that you need to maximize your potentials in Christ.

Do have a God-full day.

Politics / Dear Nigerians, With Confidence, Fayose Says He Will Be Your President In 2019 by yummyyummy: 12:30am On Jul 06, 2017

“I have penchant for taking powers; that one in Buhari’s hand. I will take it. I’m going straight to that villa. I’m the next president.

“I want to be the next president of Nigeria. My own won’t be this change that has brought nothing, we are going to represent the people well and tell them the truth.” - Ayodele Fayose, Ekiti State Governor[/center]

Background
He made this statement during a meeting with political office holders at the Government’s House, Ado Ekiti, He also inspected Osoko Political Institute Centre.
He also has a word for former governors Segun Oni and Kayode Fayemi. They should not waste their time contesting because they will lose at the polls.

Our take on the matter
'Is Saul also among the prophets also as in has Fayose now become a seer seeing into 2019?'
On Oni and Fayemi, only the electorate can decide that and not what Governor Fayose feels.

Conclusion
We remember this was the same way Fayose started confessing boldly that he would oust Fayemi and become the governor. He did.
APC, be afraid oooooo

Dear Governor Ambode,

How are you and the business of governance? We hope you, your family and your cabinet are doing great, if so, DOXOLOGY!

The purpose of this letter is to inform you in case you have not noticed that our Lagos getting dirtier day by day and also because 'itesiwaju eko lo je wa logun'

Remember your commendable ambition to make Lagos a smart city? We wonder how you will achieve this if as a mega city we cannot have a decent level of sanitation.

The pictures below show massive waste being dumped along the recently repaired Okota-Festac road. We remember the pomp and pageantry during the commissioning of this road by the VP. To think this road is now a refuse dump site, Chai!!!. We hear and see same things in other parts of Lagos. If you see that of Ajah or perceive the offensive smell, we bet you will not be able to eat for one week

In conclusion, please make Lagos cleaner. Lest we forget, kudos on the pedestrian bridges and proactive measures to reduce traffic girdlock.

Best Regards

Culture / Want To Know What Ooni Of Ife And Molue Drug Sellers Have In Common? by yummyyummy: 5:32pm On Jul 05, 2017
Watch the video here
http://www.musingsamplified.com.ng/2017/06/video-ooni-of-ifes-statement-that-he.html?m=1

So here is the gist, in an interview with Osasu Igbinedion on The Osasu Show, the Ooni says he is a Christian, a practicing Muslim and a Traditionalist. 3-in-1 combo.

If you have ever been in 'molue' buses in Lagos, there are usually drug sellers who claim that their wonder drugs can cure all ailments. All as in all!

When we watched the clip below, we just couldn't help but remember those drug sellers whose drugs are as versatile as the religious inclinations of the Ooni.

EFCC, DSS AND OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL: UNDER PRESSURE TO IMPRESS, OVERLY HIGH ON ADRENALINE, SHEER INCOMPETENCE OR ALL OF THE ABOVE?

The focal point of this piece is on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) but I will touch briefly on the DSS and the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation using Justice Ademola Adeniyi to drive home my point. I will then proceed to examine the recent activities of the EFCC using also recent examples of their raids resulting in the discovery of huge stashed away cash.

“We asked him what business fetched him the money, the man said he deals in bringing tomatoes from the North to sell in Lagos. Politics / Dear Nigerians, This Picture Shows Why You Shouldn't Take Sides Wi by yummyyummy: 3:34pm On Apr 08, 2017
more>>>http://musingsamplified..com.ng/

Background

This picture was reportedly taken at Jumat prayers on Friday 07/04/2017.
It shows President Buhari, Senate President Bukola Saraki, Customs boss Hameed Ali and EFCC boss was also reported to be present although we can't see him in this picture. There is an undeniable political squabble/ego clash among these even though they may deny it but Nigerians are not foolish. We know.

Our take on the matter

Dear Nigerian youth, please be wise and galvanize for a better future starting from 2019. Do not be foolish and waste your time blindly queuing behind political gladiators. Stand for Nigeria and Stand with Nigeria alone.
Learn to tackle issues objectively and not spurred by sentiments. You may be in opposition today and still air your opinions dignifyingly and not debase to pettiness. You may be in power todday or working for your 'ogas' in power, that does not give you the licence to lose your objectivity. You may be non-aligned but that does not mean you should be complacent.

Conclusion
'Politicians go, politicians come but Nigeria go remain'

Politics / To Eradicate Corruption, You Have To Wipe Out Humanity - Speaker Dogara by yummyyummy: 8:16pm On Apr 02, 2017
more>>>http://musingsamplified..com.ng/

Background

Speaking in an interview with Daily Trust he said “We have seen this hydra-headed monster called corruption rearing its head even in elections of certain jurisdictions. Clearly, the signs are there, but our collective effort is that we reduce it to the barest minimum. I lack the English word to describe anyone who thinks he would eliminate corruption. To eliminate it will amount to eliminating the totality of the human race. This is because no human being is clothed in perfection. All we can do is to reduce it to the barest minimum".

Our take on the matter

Does reducing corruption to the barest minimum include budget padding? We are just asking for a friend.

Conclusion

If only our public officials will match their words with actions, America and Europe will be looking up to us as a model of a corruption free society.

Politics / Here Are The Top Tracks In Lt.-gen. Ishaya Bamaiyi's Revelational Album by yummyyummy: 8:05pm On Apr 02, 2017
more>>>http://musingsamplified..com.ng/

Background

The former Chief of Army Staff just released a book. He dishes out interesting revelations. Here are some of them.

1. NADECO members abandoned Chief MKO Abiola. According to him, “a lot has been said about late Chief Abiola’s arrest and efforts toward his release. The fact remains that NADECO members paid only lip service to Abiola’s release after deceiving him into declaring himself President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. “If they were sincere and actually supported him they would have accompanied him to where he declared himself President..."
2. Diya planned to blow up Abacha in his car.
3. Babangida planned to succeed Obasanjo.

Our take on the matter

All these men of yesteryears should be locked up in a room and made to confront themselves with live CCTV feed for Nigerians to watch. All these accusations and counter accusations. 'who e epp'?

Conclusion

The title of the book is 'Vindication'. Is the general seeking vindication or atonement?

Politics / Asari Dokunbo Has Found His Voice Again.says Buhari Has No Iota Of Integrity.ha! by yummyyummy: 7:55pm On Apr 02, 2017
more>>>http://musingsamplified..com.ng/

Background

The leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force, Mujahid Dokubo-Asari granted an interview to punch newspapers and here are snippets;

This is the most hostile government. This is the most insensitive government in the life of this country.
This is a deaf and dumb regime. Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo is trying to placate (Niger Deltans) but that is not enough.
This is the worst government in Nigeria because they came with the mindset to kill but unfortunately, they found it very difficult to kill us.
People are racketeering with the foreign exchange to the detriment of others. Some people are buying a dollar for N520, while others are buying it for as low as N185 from the Central Bank of Nigeria. So, when people are talking about fighting corruption, I laugh. What manner of corruption could be greater than giving some persons dollars at N185/N190 and others are buying at N520?
When I was driving recently, somebody asked me to come down but I told him I have a waist problem and I cannot walk a far distance. I am not ashamed to tell somebody I cannot walk a far distance. People like Femi Fani-Kayode, Ayodele Fayose and I raised the alarm that Buhari was not (feeling) fine but people said we would be the ones to die first. We will all die but why should one lie? This is the question of integrity and Buhari has no iota of integrity.

Our take on the matter

Asari is back! he has gone to eat more 'liver'.

Conclusion

He is Asari Dokubo, if he says the truth, he dies, if he does not say the truth he dies.
Were you expecting the 'ajekun iya' song after that? Sorry.

Politics / Did Tinubu Just Shade Fashola? by yummyyummy: 11:37pm On Apr 01, 2017
http://musingsamplified..com.ng/

Background

Leading to the 2015 governorship election in Lagos, Fashola and Tinubu, political godson and godfather respectively supported different candidates at the APC primaries.
Fashola supported Olasupo Sasore while Tinubu supported Akinwumi Ambode who eventually became governor.
It has been reported that their relationship has been icy.
At the unveiling of the statue and the commissioning of the Aboru-Abesan link bridge in Alimosho local government area named after him by Ambode's Administration, Tinubu said that Ambode has impressed him because his predecessor left a huge debt burden on Lagos but despite that Ambode has managed to perform very well.

Our take on the matter

Reading between the lines or 'hearing between the ears', Tinubu's statement implies that Fashola did not manage resources well and really put Lagos in debt. Isn't it?

Conclusion

Time will tell how this rumored rift between father and son would end.

Politics / This Present National Assembly Is Smarter The 180 Million Nigerians Put Together by yummyyummy: 2:55am On Apr 01, 2017
Read the rest at »http://musingsamplified..com.ng/2017/03/dear-nigerians-we-have-been-silly.html

Good news: a typical Nigerian is a smart person. Quick witted. Warri or no Warri, Nigerians ‘no dey carry last’ we are always at the forefront. The bad news? This assertion is only on paper, as a Nigerian reading this, your nationalistic tendency can make you dispute my submission as vehemently as you like but facts don’t lie. If we are as great and smart as we like to deceive ourselves to be, then why are we mediocre nationally and internationally too? We are a country of 180 million people and amazingly just 469 members of the National Assembly are holding us to ransom. I must give kudos to them because this feat of outsmarting us all is no mean feat at all. I am officially recommending to my fellow Nigerians that as a matter of urgency we should critically study the modus operandi of this gang and begin to model our lives according to that pattern and I guarantee you that the result will be amazing particularly in 2019.

Romance / Twins From The Same Mother But Different Fathers. No Lies. Read And Confirm by yummyyummy: 12:23am On Mar 31, 2017
read full story on >>> http://musingsamplified..com.ng/

No lies! It is possible for twins born of the same mother to have different fathers. Read.

Background

Twins are children born by the same pregnancy (as if you didn't know that before), whether identical or fraternal.
But unusually and rarely too, twins can be fathered by two different fathers. This is called heteropaternal superfecundation. Google it and thank us later.
How does this occur? Normally a woman ovulates only one healthy egg per cycle but it's possible she ovulates two. If this happens and she has sex with two different men within a 24 hour period, then one egg one sperm. 'Lobatan'

Our take on the matter

'Wonders shall never end' is indeed a truism.

Conclusion

From the foregoing, if you see any twins and they look so different, perhaps, just maybe....
For example if one looks like the husband and the other like the driver or neighbour. In this case, trouble slept, 'yanga' has woken it up

Autos / Lagos VIS: From Vehicle Inspection To Vehicle Incineration. 'kilode'? by yummyyummy: 9:48pm On Mar 29, 2017
more>>>http://musingsamplified..com.ng/

Background

Afolarin. a 42 year old man had his car impounded and fined NGN 80,000 by the Eti-Osa office of te VIS.
His offence was that he was driving with cracked windscreen.
Two weeks later, he was able to raise the money to pay the fine in order to retrieve his car then the bombshell came.
He was directed to the Ojodu Berger office where he was informed that his car had been burnt. 'shooooo'
He was offered NGN200,000 as compensation by one official named Akeem, Afterwards, he was taken to Toriola, the director's office. This power drunk director assaulted him, accusing him of deliberately burning his car at their office.
Afterwards, his shoes and phones were seized on the directors order and he was detained at Ogombo police division for three days. Thereafter, he was asked to sign an undertaking not to report the case to the press or post it on any social media.

Our take on the matter
Why? Why? But Why? 'Kilode?'
Apparently, the VIS officials knew they did something wrong that was why they threatened him not to report to press or escalate on social media.
Some of our public officials in Nigeria are devil incarnate. This case just validates that.
Motorists should at all times ensure that they do not contravene any rule to avoid harassment by traffic officers.

Conclusion

We are glad that Mr. Femi Falana, a human rights lawyer has taken up this case.
It is not enough that the man should be compensated commensurately, those officials too should be sacked if found culpable after investigation. That is if the Lagos state government care about good governance, social justice and fairness.

Politics / Ali Ndume: From Senate Leader To Ordinary Member To Suspended Member. by yummyyummy: 8:37pm On Mar 29, 2017
for more>>>http://musingsamplified..com.ng

Background

Senator Ali Ndume, the Senator who called for Senators Saraki and Melaye's probe has been suspended by the Senate for six months.
Why? because he did not 'make due diligence' before filing a petition against the aforementioned senators.

Our take on the matter

ALL HAIL BUKKY AND THE GANG!!!
Due diligence or not, what about the issues raised by Senator Ndume that made him call for a probe. The suspension should not invalidate that.
Our present crop of National Assembly members have been watching too much mafia films or how would you explain all the drama, plots and intrigues.
Remember Hon. Jibrin, a member of the house of representatives? the same fate befell him when he attempted to take on the leadership of the House of Representatives. Is the leadership of the National Assembly (both chambers) so ruthless? This is a rhetorical question.

Conclusion

This whole drama is not yet over, we only hope that the National Assembly members would not consume themselves in politicking but if that is what it takes to move Nigeria forward and wrestle her from the grip of greedy, selfish and dubious politicians, so be it.

"Jehovah thou art my God, many waters have surrounded my and my enemies encompass me like the bulls of Bashan, prove to them that thou art the Lord most high. Shame my enemies the same way you shamed the enemies of my friend Bukky Sarrachiis and made him presido against all odds"

Background

The embattled Senator Dino has released a video singing and dancing.
This is to taunt his political adversaries insisting he did not graduate from ABU

Our take on the matter

Senator Dino is a true politician with a comedic coloration
He 'no dey send' anybody
He sure knows a thing or two about Yoruba folklore and songs

Conclusion

In case 2019 doesn't go as planned, he'd better take his music career serious as PlanB, that is another sure way to ensure the fast life and fast cars are maintained if he 'blows'. Davido and Wizzy Baba Nla are examples
We recommend Don Jazzy and Cobhams to team up, polish his career and make a star out of him. It will be the stuff of legends.

Family / Still In Search Of The Right Time For My Sunday Worship by yummyyummy: 4:59pm On Mar 25, 2017

I travel to church on Sundays. From Lagos to Ota. This I consider a shorter and ‘Eazi-er’ journey than Accra to Lagos. When people ask me why I travel that far to worship. I usually quip, “life itself is a journey, so if we journey through life whose course can be very unpredictable, tedious and long everyday what is journeying to Ota once a week?” What follows usually is a nodding of head and silence. Whether my reply is very deep or very stupid to elicit this kind of response I cannot tell.

As a single guy, going to church on Sundays was the simplest task. All I needed to do was wake up, brush, dress up. Thirty minutes tops I’m done. I always preferred the first service because by 11am I am back home and because the day is still young I have ample time to indulge in extracurricular activities as a young man. My Church conducts five services. Now, with two soldiers and a deputy commander, preparation for church is no mean feat and my battle to keep to my service preference seems like a ‘never-winning’ one. I have not given up yet although I must confess it has been a while since I attended first service. In fact, my service schedule these days are as erratic as the British weather but the battle continues.

It was Otunba Gadaffi, the brain behind Dignified Mobile Toilets that said ‘shit business is serious business’. I agree. If you have ever been cornered at an inconvenient location by this call of nature then you are also likely to agree with that statement. Yes real shit happens and it is serious but government business is serious business too, a more serious business.
Unfortunately since independence Nigeria has had and continues to have largely comedic leaders at all levels. This explains why there hasn’t been any serious governance and development after fifty six years of independence. We were once touted as one of the happiest people on the earth. This is no surprise considering all the laughter from the comedy called Nigeria besides Fela Anikulapo Kuti frankly described us as a suffering and smiling people.

I do not believe in crying over spilt milk, it is pointless anyway besides I will rather bother about not letting another one spill. In the light of this, I will not dwell on the period between 1960 and 2015 especially from 2011 to May 28, 2015. Nigerians got tired of the endless comedy and unseriousness. They decided to change that. Enters the APC government headed by President Buhari. It now appears that the change we have is an increase in comedy and not a total deviation from unseriousness that Nigerians asked for with their voters’ card. Let’s now examine some out of the numerous comedy skits that have been produced by the present administration.
