As an Igbo man, I laugh when I hear Yorubas talk about restructuring.

Yorubas dont want to accept the truth. They want 'one Nigeria' but do not realise this is the same reason why restructuring will never happen.

For the Northerners, there is no difference between restructuring and Biafra, which is why they will never allow either to happen.

slurryeye:

Show me any soldier that's not a killer. You keep saying read your history. What's there to read, that Murtala committed war crime in Asaba? Which commander at both side didn't commit war crime? Do you forget that Ojukwu and Biafran soldiers committed same atrocity when they invaded mid west? And don't let us forget extra judicial killing of Banjo and Ifeajuna by Ojukwu. So cut me that crap that Murtala got served for what he did because the last time I checked Aguiyi-ironsi didn't partake in the 1st 1966 coup and he was brutally murdered in the 2nd coup. If your Karma is sensible enough, someone like IBB and Gowon shouldn't be alive today.

Soldiers are trained to kill for their country, they are not trained to kill for their vanity like Murtala did. Ojukwu commited which attrocity? Thats like saying that Gowon commited attrocities because of the Asaba massacre. Neither Gowon nor Ojukwu held any direct field command and therefore, cannot be directly responsible for any war crime commited in the field unless they directly issued it or condoned it.

Go and read history well, both Ifeajuna and Banjo where tried by a military tribunal and sentenced to death. They were both given a fair hearing, infact, the transcriplt of their tial can be found in Ben Odogwus book "crisis and conflicts inside Biafra". You have no point.

Murtala led the counter coup that killed over 300 officers from the old Eastern Region.

Troops under Murtalas command murdered over 700 civilians in Asaba

Murtala the showed how much of a bad Soldier he was when he led his Second Division from one disaster to the other until they were finally destroyed at Abagana.

Murtala was then recalled from the war and sent to London.

Murtala Mohammed was a disgrace to the uniform he wore and to the art of Soldiering as a whole.

Generally, Murtala Mohammed was a failed Soldier, a mass killer, war criminal, military dictator and a pychopath.

The only reason the name of Murtala still exists is because Nigeria is not a civilised country.

No civilised country honours people like Murtala Mohammed by putting his demonic face on the local currency or having an international port of entry named after him.

By that logic, Ojukwu has got to be the worst slowpoke of them all. He is the greatest killer of his own people in my opinion, for involving them in a war he damn well knew they could never have won.

But Ojukwu never involved his people in war, neither did he shoot at his people. It was Nigeria that declared war and came to the East to fight. This had nothing to do with Ojukwu
Celebrities / Re: Anyone Calling Gen. Murtala A Hero Is A slowpoke--Kemi Olunloyo by zendy: 3:51pm On Feb 13, 2017
The funny thing is that the Devil called Murtala Mohammed killed far more people than the 700 people. He was a genocidal killer.

Yet, this is a man has an annual memorial lecture, this is a man who has an international named after him and this a man who has his picture on the 20 Naira note.

Chei! Well, its Nigeria for you. If a thief like Ibori can recieve a heroes welcome on his release from jail, why cant a murderous killer like Murtala Mohammed be honoured with his treacherous face on the Naira?

My young friend, It is simply an operational side office in the basque region of Spain in victoria! The basque region has been fighting to also secede from Spain for decades so maybe you should ask them how far with their own hustle!

That is the only reason why this rented office could be given permission to function there! The office, or its visas or applications are not recognized by the spanish govt. or its people so Keep calm.....

The o.p was trying to paint it in a grander light! grin

For those who do not know, the word 'embassy' does not necessarily have to be a place where visas are issued, it doesnt even have to be a Government office. An Embassy is just an office that represents a group of people. Its not a must they have to be issuing visas and offering consular duties.

3. He was a student of the late Odumegwu Ojukwu in 1959 at the Regular Officers Special Training School , ROSTS (Teshie, Ghana), now Ghana Military Academy where he was taught as a 2nd Lieutenant infantry tactics and military laws

The above is partly wrong. Murtala was on a Military tactics course at ROST and was taught by Ojukwu but this was in 1961 and not 1959. Murtala had not even gone to Sandhurst in 1959 to talk about being a 2nd Lieutenant.

Murtala Mohammed was a blood thirsty genocidal killer. It remains a national disgrace that such a killer of a man has his face on the 20 Naira note.

As the commander of the Second division, Murtala commited War crimes by ordering the summary execution of POW's. Murtala Mohammed spearheaded a coup that killed over 300 officers of Eastern extraction.

Troops under the command of Murtala Mohammed killed 700 civilians in Asaba .

Murtala Mohamned was a disgrace of an Officer. His 3 disasterous attempts to cross the River Niger into Onitsha ked to deaths of thousands of his men. Whe Murtala managed to cross over, his troops were completely destroyed at Abagana. Murtala was the recalled from the war and sent to London.

Murtala Mohammed was a failed Soldier, a genocidal killer and a sociopath. Had Nigeria been a civilised country, such a horrible man would not have Airports named after him nor would he have a place of honour on the 20 Naira note

There is nothing called South South same as there is nothing calkwd South East. The constitution of Nigeria does not recognise anything like Sout South or South East. So where did you get South South from? Or South East?

Learn not to speak outside your tribe, allow other tribes to speak for themselves and the best way to do this is to support a referendum so that everyone can speak for themselves.

The experience of biafra war war must not be experienced again in this country and succession or not, it must be done peacefully.

The experience of war and violence is what Nigerians bring, not Biafrans.

Biafrans always choose the path of peace and self determination, Nigeria and Nigerians always choose the path of 'one Nigeria or death'.

It is Nigeria that always brings violence to Biafran question.

It was the Nigerian Government of Yakubu Gowon who broke the terms of agreement signed in Aburi, Ghana.

So what did people expect Ojukwu to do? To shout 'one Nigeria' and accept Northern domination like like Awolowo, Colonel Adebayor, Lt Colonel David Ejoor did?

Im proud of Ojukwu for not accepting the cowardice of Yorubas who claim to be intelligent but dont know what self determination means.

Look man. You are doing the same tbing you are accusing the Igbos of doing.

You accuse Igbos of grabbing the minorities into Biafra.

But you on the other hand have grabbed the same minorities into non existent South/South. What you should do is support a referendum let everyone choose their fate, this 'attach by force' in the name of Niger Delta, south south or Biafra must stop.

You see where you guys missed the whole thing.
How did Scotland (Britain), Catalonia (Spain) or Quebec (Canada) ever got a referendum to vote in order to leave their countries? It was never due to the number of protests they carried out or the number of faceless people crying CHUKU OKIKIA OBIMA. LOL

The bills for seccession and right to referendum were argued and passed by Scottish, Catalonian and Quebecois lawmakers in British, Spanish and Canadian parliaments before these govts could take them any serious.
I take it that i am really speaking with ignorant dummies.

Sorry bro, but there is no law on secession passed in any of these countries you mentioned. I challenge you to post a link that shows Canada, Spain or Britain having secession anywhere in their constitution.

As for 'right of referendum', many countries routinely conduct referendum. A few years ago, New Zealand conducted a referendum about changing their national flag, Slovakia conducted a referendum on increasing Tax, Britain conducted a referendum on the EU. Even in Nigeria, parts of present day Adamawa state became part of Nigeria through a referendum conducted in 1961.

I understand Reno Omokris anger and frustration. But unfortunately for him, and many others, they do not understand the problem. Even when they understand the problem, they are not brave enough to say the solution.

The truth is that Nigeria us too divided along religeous, cultural and ethnic lines to ever be a nation. So there are two choices:

Choice 1: The one Reno and many like him believe. We carry on as 'one Nigeria', forget that we killed each other in the millions in a civil war, keep killing each other along religious divides, keep protesting about an unworkable Nigeria, carry on protesting and speaking out as heardsmen and religious zealots go on a killing spree. And maybe one day, when we have had enough of the hating, bloodletting and bigotry, we might go back to the confederation of Aburi which Ojukwu and Gowon signed and realise that 'self determination' is more supreme than 'one Nigeria'

Or Choice 2: We accept that 'Nigeria' was not of our making. That it was a creation of the British for their convenience, and that time has come for the indigenous people the British hearded together like 'Cattle' to come together in a Sovereign National Conference to renegotiate Nigeria or decide their fate via referendum or both. In either scenario, self determination must be allowed.

Following Reno Omokri in choice 1, I believe leads no where. The same killings he is lamenting about in this video wont change throuthout his lifetime if Nigeria stays as it is. His kids will be making the same videos after he is gone, unless choice 2 happens.

Oh really?

If they are free why are they still screaming for freedom over 40 years later.

You missed the point. Do you see anyone else screaming for freedom except them? Thats is due to Ojukwu. Ojukwu opened the eyes of his people to freedom and self determination. The rest who call themselves 'Nigerians' are still answering the colonial name the white man imposed on them and claiming the country created by Lugard as their own. Those ones cant scream for freedom in a million years because they are too blind to see they are in bondage. Their own 'Ojukwu' is yet to come.

their achievements re there for everybody to see.

I think that the greatest thing Ojukwu did was to declare his people free. Nobody has managed to do this since Lord Lugard 'roped' everyone into his colonial creation called Nigeria in 1914. Ojukwu gave his people freedom, gave them their flag, their currency, their anthem, their identity and their pride. Without freedom, life is worth nothing. The belief in self determination which Ojukwu gave his people in my view is the single greatest thing anyone one man has ever given his people in the history of Africa.

If not stupidity, why do many Igbos lack cognizance of the fact that almost all Igbo politicians, elites, powerful business men, religious and traditional leaders do not give a rat's ass about Biafra?
They seldom talk about it in the open let alone chamioning it, when they are the ones who are supposed to be at the forefront of the struggle in order to make it plausible..
We only see scoundrels, societal misfits, derelicts and all manners of low-life igbos killing themselves on Biafran issues. Is Biafran agitation only for the poor and faceless Igbos?

Let me put it this way. Biafra is a democratic thing and not an elitist thing. Biafra is about the will of the majority and not the will of a privileged few. Biafra ia all that Nigeria is not.

When Scotland voted in a 2014 Referendum on their freedom from Britain, nobdy cared about how the rich, politically connected or elite voted, it was about the majority. Thats the spirit of Biafra.

As for the Biafrans being killed, it is Nigeria that is killing them. It is the Nigerian security firces shooting unarmed people. The Nigerian security forces have never needed a good reasob to brutalise or kill unarmed people, they do it everyday, Biafra or not. It is also one of the main reasons for seeking Biafra because when their is Biafra, Police and Military brutality will come to an end.

So you see, you have no point to make
