I am ready to lend you a video camera, you can volunteer to go up the mountain and give us live updates, are you ready to go?

That is why we are still backward. Else where, the incident would have been investigate more closely, one or two people may even die in the process but the knowledge will lead to thousands of lives been saved in future occurrences. If we continue like this there may come a time in the future when we will be colonized/enslaved again even worse than we were before.

i use glo infinito, its crap! Mtn is much much better. Did 2 pings of glo and and got over a thousand millisecs. Its obvious they are still using satellite. That glo 1 launch was PR stunt no doubt. Mtn pings about 180 millisecs. No doubt its main one at work. My hunch is that the low keyed glo 1 launch and lack of a revised tarif since the 'launch' is cos glo 1 is still not fully operational.

I agree with you, Glo-1's launch was just a publicity stunt. Shows the kind of a company Globacom is, Totally not serious.
TV/Movies / Re: Mr Bean Fans, which Is Your Favorite Of His Movies? by zoraro(m): 9:02pm On Nov 08, 2010
Mr Bean, Frank Spencer (Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em) and Benny Hill are my favorite British Comedians. I can't remember the titles but I love most of Mr Bean movies/shows.

At this rate Nigeria will soon be left behind when other African Countries become developed nations. A simple photo of an occurrence like this is nowhere to be found.

My own question is this: Why route those stuffs thru Nigeria? Why not thru Togo, Benin Rep, Ghana or Cameroon, they all have ports too! They(Iran or whatsoever country) shld have tot of the difficulties they wld face if they try to move those stuff thru Nigerian soil (even with our elections coming soon and the wave of the latest abuja's october 1st saga) if truely they are meant for Gaza! We are at the brink of war and it seems our goverment is not taking all these tells seriously!!

The cargo was brought into the Country in June before the October 1st saga and subsequent security alert.

Is he 71 or 69 years old, was the new wife married (widow) or not, does she have children or not? Was Deeper Life Church formed when he was in May Flower or when he was in University of Lagos? Who should we believe, The Nation or PM News?
Why can't journalists confirm simple things like this before publishing their stories (and both papers are citing the same source Mr. Nnadozie)?

Mr Tudor stop confusing people, please correct your profile's gender, are you not suppose to stand for the truth no matter what? And please, like someone said respect the man for his age at least.

Really sad. Whether it's for one lecturer or 70 lecturers that Middleman posted it's still sad. That is 126 Billion Naira per year or like bestman09 calculated 1.8 Billion Naira per year on salaries alone.

ShangoThor:

Perhaps Lugard was right:

"In character and temperament, the typical African of this race-type is a happy, thriftless, excitable person. LACKING IN SELF-CONTROL, DISCIPLINE, AND FORESIGHT. Naturally courageous, and naturally courteous and polite, full of personal vanity, with little sense of veracity, fond of music and loving weapons as an oriental loves jewelry. HIS THOUGHTS ARE CONCENTRATED ON THE EVENTS AND FEELINGS OF THE MOMENT, and he suffers little from the apprehension for the future, or grief for the past. His mind is far nearer to the animal world than that of the European or Asiatic, and exhibits something of the animals’ placidity and want of desire to rise beyond the State he has reached. Through the ages THE AFRICAN APPEARS TO HAVE EVOLVED NO ORGANIZED RELIGIOUS CREED, and though some tribes appear to believe in a deity, the religious sense seldom rises above pantheistic animalism and seems more often to take the form of a vague dread of the supernatural"

“HE LACKS THE POWER OF ORGANIZATION, and is conspicuously deficient in the management and control alike of men or business. HE LOVES THE DISPLAY OF POWER, but fails to realize its responsibility,  he will work hard with a less incentive than most races. He has the courage of the fighting animal, an instinct rather than a moral virtue,  In brief, the virtues and defects of this race-type are those of attractive children, whose confidence when it is won is given ungrudgingly as to an older and wiser superior and without envy, Perhaps the two traits which have impressed me as those most characteristic of the African native are HIS LACK OF APPREHENSION AND HIS LACK OF ABILITY TO VISUALIZE THE FUTURE."

---Lord Frederick John Dealty Lugard, The Dual Mandate, pg.70 (1926)

Are you a white guy who's pretending to be black and Nigerian? If not, I suggest that you see a shrink.

Gayigaskia:

Men get out of here, GEJ is the most incompetent president Nigeria ever had, i don't even know where he bought his Phd from. Did you ever heard of him during Yar Adua when he was vice President? The man has no clue and will dearly fail this country, i agree he has luck but his luck is a bad one for this country. Moreover it is high time you motherf8ckers stop blaming the north since GEJ himself has found himself surrounded with Niger Deltans who used to be Northerners arss lickers. ie: Edwin Clarck . Jonathan needs to thank the northerners who made him who he is today, cause they the ones who made him governor and vice president.

If the North made an incompetent man to be president then the North must not be given the opportunity to decide who rules this Country ever again.

I can bet you that by febuary next year jonathan will have imposed himself on pdp against the will of the northan faction of the pdp. when that happens be sure  that the north will vote buhari.all buhari needs is northan votes and he will be home and dry.

Nobody can be president with only the northern votes, according to the present constitution a presidential candidate most be voted for by 2/3 of the states. 2/3 of 36 is 24. The last time I checked there were less than 24 states in Northern Nigeria.
jonathan will never be president!
What is he now?

You should develop your brain for thinking, not for follow, follow. How did the poster arrive at the number that  75% of Nigerians in diaspora lack insight? Who is this guy? Dr Phil or Deepak Chopra?

Since he wasn't writing a term paper, thesis , a UN report or some thing like that, I think you can forgive him for coming up with the number 3/4. Next time you see a number like that in a forum like this please replace it in your head with words like "most", "many", "a lot" etc.

True and they all show that in some instances wife's and women in general benefit from a good spanking. It keeps them on the right path behavior wise.

Anybody that believes in spanking his wife/women as a form of discipline needs to be examined closely (psychiatric examination). Why don't you come out and say that you're more interested in the actual act itself than any correctional effect it may have?
Politics / Re: 3/4 Of Nigerian Diaspora Lack Insight by zoraro(m): 1:06am On Oct 27, 2010
Like some people said earlier the problem is with all Nigerians NIN or NID (especially the rich ones), we are too selfish a people everybody is more interested in running the rat race than the general good, hence tribalism, corruption and all the things that has brought the Country to its present state. The sad thing is that we claim to be a smart people.

COOL DK:

You are simply one of those causing religious war. Y not pickn up a Quran, read & understand b4 posting; afterall English version is available. Imbec*lic fellow, slowpoke, donkey; this what the Holy book says:

Q 4:34 "Men are d mainteners of women, for that Allah has preferred in bounty one of them over another, and for that they have spent of their wealth. Righteous women are obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah has guarded. Those from whom you fear rebellious, admonish them and desert them in the bed and smack them (without harshness). Then, if they obey you, do not look for anyway against them. Allah is High, Great"

Q 2:223 "Women are your planting place (for children); come then to them as you please and forward (good deeds) for your souls, and fear Allah. Allah know that you shall meet him. Give glad tidings to the believers.

And you are one of those that partake in religious wars. What is the difference between is quotes and yours, they basically are saying the same thing in different words.

Has corporal punishment been outlawed in Nigeria? If not why all the noise. I am against corporal punishment though and if they are underage (<12) then they should not be flogged instead their wares should be seized.

The other evidence i want to see is that of Okah's claim that the government sent him a text to blame the north. I wonder why this evidence has not yet been followed since it will be very easy to find out. The police has his phone and the contents of the text messages received can easily be verified.

Have the thought that this claim by Okah most probably is a lie occurred to you even for a second.

keep in mind the fact that those companies are in business to turn a profit, first & foremost.
The profit that they make is it not for other humans? So there staffs/workers can die as long as the owners/share holders have profits to share?

Computers / Re: Globacom Submarine Cable - Glo-1 by zoraro(m): 10:36pm On Sep 29, 2010
It not surprising that there hasn't been any change in terms of performance and price so far, for performance, Glo-1 is not generally available yet it's just Main-one for now. For pricing, these operators subscribed to Satellite systems before now, so until their subscription run out they won't effect major changes in their pricing.
In essence, although we don't like it, we shouldn't expect any major changes in the next 2 or 3 months.
