Adamux:stuppid talk the money they'll save in 2 years will start up a better business in Nigeria but they dont come back because they now have a better life. you're just indirectly saying the country is very uncertain and unpredictable. And that's the reason they don't want to come back. |

Adamux:bills are never on holiday. What a childish talk. So youre saying you must pay rent, electricity and gas even when youre out of the country. You need your brain checked. When did it become a must to pay bills. Just keep on fooling gullible people |

Ayo25:shame kor shame no. A full grown adult with probably a wife and a kid will be talking of shame in choosing what's best for himself and his family. This reply is as childish as it sounds. Reply for 12 year olds. Unsurprisingly many people will fall for this cheap lie same way they fall for politicians cheap lies. |

Reflect7:shut your dirty trap you call mouth. They have a system to tax the rich and pay the poor. They don't encourage starvation. Also define what have money means in Nigeria? Only politicans and top CEOs can compete. No salary earner or business owner will outearn a minimum wage worker in the UK. So STFU |

headboyprince: The problem is those over there don't even get to save well because of the begging bowl mentality of their friends and relatives back home. If you know how many people abroad receive text and phone calls asking for this and that abd gave to subsequently borrow money to help out, you will be shocked. What about marriages that are in distress abroad because one or both partners need to help the family back home and puts additional pressure on already tight finances which were tight because of money sent home. It's a better environment but with its own unique Nigerian related challenges. |

I appreciate your detailed explanation, and you're absolutely right. The cost of living in the UK, especially in cities like London, can be shockingly high. It's crucial for anyone planning to study or work there to have a realistic understanding of the expenses involved. The average rental prices you mentioned are indeed eye-opening, and when you factor in additional costs like transportation, council tax, utilities, and everyday expenses, it becomes evident that a significant portion of one's income is dedicated to basic necessities. Regarding train travel, it's essential to find ways to save money where possible. One strategy, as you rightly pointed out, is split ticketing. By purchasing separate tickets for different segments of your journey, travelers can often enjoy substantial savings, especially on longer routes. This tactic can be particularly helpful for students or anyone on a tight budget navigating the UK's expensive rail network. Ultimately, it's vital for individuals considering a move to the UK to conduct thorough research, budget accordingly, and perhaps even seek advice from those already familiar with the challenges of living in the country. Being financially prepared and aware of the true costs can make a significant difference in one's experience abroad. |
