During the 8 months of Ihedioha govt, it collected more and more faithfuls to Imo APC.
The Speaker had better join APC.

Ihedioha, Onwuliri and Onyeagocha were like having a plan: Owerri zone shall be like Tokyo in 4 years time, whereas Okigwe and Orlu zones shall empty to settle in sky scrapers of Owerri zone.
Anger over this over ambitious project made more and more people in Orlu and Okigwe zones move to the opposition in APC.

i said this before.
The Documents tendered were original duplicate copies of INEC issued Forms, filled and signed by INEC official representative at the Polling Units concern. The Coalition Officers looking at the figures strongly believed the figures were cooked and allocated, then, using personally intuition and judgment, cancel the results of APC from 388 polling units.
Hope went to court to challenge that the cancellation has no legal backing, instead of PDP to counter the application and show evidence that the votes allocated to APC were fraudulent, they did not even challenge the petition at all. The Supreme Court holds that the fraudulent
votes were illegally cancelled and there was no single evidence to show it was fraudulently allocated.
Personally, I believed the votes were fraudulent and on moral grounds should be cancelled as done by the INEC coalition center. Unfortunately, the court will and never rule base on morality but on the letters of the Law. So, morally, the cancellation was correct but wrong legally.
To those people blaming Supreme Court, they should know that legality is different from morality. It is just like a rape cases, it must be proved beyond a reasonable doubt that a crime was actually committed and the responsibility to proved rest on every party except the accused. In this case, the provision of evidence rest solely on PDP and her candidates and not INEC. The role of INEC in any election matters is to provide evidences at their care and testify in election matter and not to prove that the elections was fairly or fraudulently conducted.
PDP failed woefully in their defence, they should learn their lesson and move on.

Political prostitute and unprincipled fellow!!! Was he elected by his constituent as speaker or member of the state assembly?

Vainglory:
Peter Obi is a quintessential politician. He was able to convince the legislators that developing the state was more important than party affiliation. At the end of the day most of the legislators defected to his party and not him defecting to their party.
The didn't defect rather they impeached him for not approving money to renovate the government house.

We are yet to practice democracy in Nigeria and I doubt if we will be able to practice. I have never heard it since we started our democracy since 1999 if any elected person in USA or America defects to other party.

When Peter Obi was governor, he worked with an opposition controlled legislature even in the face of impeachment and it was successfull, I don't understand why our governors like running zombie government.
obi is the best governor ever in Nigeria

Go and read your history, the first cross carpeting ever witnessed in Nigerian politics was in the then Western Region back in the 50s..It's quite normal amongst Nigerian selfish politicians..

Cross-carpeting in Nigeria: History, Cases and Causes In the pre- independence and post-independence periods, (1960-66) some of the factors that greatly influenced cross-carpeting included ethnic affiliation and religion preferences (Okpu, 1985; Osaghae, 2000). For instance, in 1951 when the first cross-carpeting episode occurred in Nigeria, the Yoruba members of the National Council for Nigerian and the Cameroon (NCNC) were lobbied to cross over to the Action Group (AG) to stop Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, an Igbo man, from becoming the premier of Western Region. In the First Republic (1960-1966), personality rivalries between factions and members of leadership of the parties exert a great influence on cross-carpeting among party members in Nigeria. A case in point
Journal of Public Administration and Governance ISSN 2161-7104 2016, Vol. 6, No. 3 35 was the personality clash between the former Premier of the defunct Western Region of Nigeria, Chief Ladoke Akintola and Chief Obafemi Awolwo. Kayode could vividly recounts: Having lost the Federal election to the defunct Nigerian National Democratic Party (NNDP), Chief Awolowo wanted to ally with the East (United Progressive Grand Alliance) while Akintola wanted to ally with the North (Nigerian National Alliance). It could be argued that the bitter fight that took place between the two statesmen and their respective supporters throughout the early ‘60’s led to division within the Action Group and its eventual splitting into separate and distinct parties and the unrestrained brutal violence that was unleashed by both sides against one another led directly to the first coup d’etat of January 15th 1966 (Kayode, 2013). In the same way as it happened between Akintola and Awolowo, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe of the NCNC and Dr Kingsley Mbadiwe had an occasion to fall apart in their political relationship which led to Mbadiwe’s formation of the Democratic Party of Nigeria Citizens (DPNC), which sought a working relationship with the Action Group at the Federal Elections in 1959 (Mbah,
You must be high on something cheap. First of all, the history you point to is actually very inaccurate.

Yorubas from parties like Ibadan indigenous party that were initially in alliance with NCNC were rightly lobbied by Awolowo to join AG to prevent the Selfish ZIK from becoming Premier of the west, while ensuring an Igbo is also the premier of East.

Notwithstanding, Politicians often cross carpet in America and Britain which are referred to as the Mecca of Democracy. It's all about personal convictions, perhaps they feel the political parties no longer represent their interest.

For example, Republicans like senator Marco Rubio(Texas) and president Trump were once Democrats

However, you igbos are often fond of seeing things like this as betrayal especially when it has to do with Yorubas.

Your idea of political conviction and loyalty is screwed..

Cross-carpeting is now a normal thing in Nigeria.
That's to show their level of selfishness. You know such immature behaviour will not work in Western World where leaders have the interest of people at heart.
