If INEC portal stops, it does not stop the collation

The non-function of IREV might reduce voter confidence

Justice Okoro Also said INEC has the right to choose the form in which they want to transmit results

I-rev is not even mentioned in the electoral acts, it is just meant to view results, the hard copy at the polling unit is the recognized form of collation. God bless Okoro

if you see it online of what purpose will it serve. if the online results says Mr A won and INEC say Mr B is the winner. which is more authentic

Elections in Nigeria will start receiving record breaking low turnouts, cos even those who vote for APC sef dey Japa and the rest already lost whatever hope they've in the country's electoral umpire

What is the essence of having institutions that can be checkmated by law?

Why go to an election, when inec can choose whatever and whoever they want.

Make I see how corruption will leave the country now

We already know the outcome of the hearing and weren't expecting surprises. It is his turn to rule Nigeria and they had pity on him.
The prevalence of pity and sympathy over meritocracy is one of the reasons we will never develop in Nigeria.
May God help us🙏

The day Nigerian youths are tired they'll rise up against this old men that destroyed the country in their youthful days and still doing same in our youthful time. Until then let's keep playing the Yoruba, Igbo nd Hausa/Fulani politics since everything revolves around them. In responsible countries youths started revolution that brought abt a positive change in governance but in Nigeria majority of the youth population are ok with the system that is killing the future of the majority because of ethnic nd tribal sentiment, religious nd political affiliation. Let's continue until we start seeing 90% of children dying of starvation nd malnutrition. Which responsible government in the world will end a policy that negatively affects transportation, businesses and manufacturing nd instead of solving the problem starts giving out cups of rice as paliatives? Who does that? Even a 12th century government wud never do that and ur telling me to bliv in such an administration?
Even the so called youths are parts of the mess

Clark (San) iterated this thing long before all the election petitions, the assumptions by our law is that inec will always do the right thing, until that assumption is changed, no elected president will be removed by a court.

Nigeria's Presidential election petition tribunal should be scrapped, it is a waste of national resources.

No it shouldn't be scrapped and it's not a waste of anything.

What should happen is that people taking their cases to the Tribunal, and by Extension appealing unfavourable and unsatisfactory Tribunal judgements at the Supreme court, should base their cases on coherent and sensible reasons.

It shouldn't be done because despite having a porous case, you feel the noise of your ragtag army of miscreants, polluting the Social media airspace and turning it toxic for those that have a different opinion, will influence the judiciary in your favour.

It shouldn't be done because you believe your army of stiff necked supporters believe they can pressurise the judiciary to support your watery and baseless and nonsensical allegations.

I stopped taking the Nigerian supreme court serious in election cases when it validated the 2007 elections. An election that clearly violated the electoral act and common sense.
Section 45(2) of the Electoral Act, 2006 states expressly that, “The ballot papers shall be bound in booklets and numbered serially with differentiating colours for each office being contested.”

But professor Iwu conducted the 2007 elections without serialised ballot papers or bound in booklets. The supreme court said that such non compliance with the electoral act did not affect the outcome of the elections, and so declared Umaru Yaradua as president.
